V/LA: KamikazeArchon (March 1st - 3rd, March 8th - 10th)
With 16 alive, it’s 9 to lynch. Deadline is on March 8th.
Splitting the difference between two viable wagons, waiting to switch to the most likely lynch? Probably one off wagon at this point. If EtR is town that is. Did I win?
Why are you looking at off wagon names instead of on wagon? Maybe you forgot, but Rhand flipped town.
You waffle on pretty much everyone on Rhand's wagon. Who are the scum there Vaimes?
Because 1) it's a smaller pool of potential scum, and 2) there are more confirmed villagers in that small group [if you take Grape/KJ at face-value]. It makes a lot more sense to me to find scum there, unless you think the entire scumteam is voting for Rhand?
Don't really care for the blatant misdirection. Who are you going to try and lynch toDay?
As for GJ/Tau, I want to put Tau last, as in I'm townreading him the most, but that was way back when he exposed his EtR thing and then vanished. The read hasn't really held up.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
@Vaimes, most likely scum on the wagon is between you, Tubba, kami and Rod. You didn't seem to care who the lynch was yesterday (of the three people you listed, two of them were the likely wagons anyways), Rod had a lazy jump and tried to push me for some asinine reason he pulled out of... a hat, Tubba has been somewhat floaty and non-committal, and Kami pretty much focused on Tau/EtR to the exclusion of everything else.
Vote kami I didn't listen to dead townies enough in Secret Agent mafia.
Vez and Rod: Can you explain your votes on Rhand in as much detail as possible for me?
Also a mafia theory question to whoever knows: Whats the likelyhood that a mafia plants a vote on town then just leaves it there all day?
I explained in previous posts, but I felt that Rhand was in deflecting mode where he was trying to deflect his wagon with big posts that say nothing. I've never seen Rhand act like this and I assumed he must be scum.

Scum Kami means town!EtR, given that Kami pushed that consistently. I think scum Kami means scum!Tau... half the time?
I don't think the talk about not having a scum amongst tau/EtR is bad setup because it allows Winmore for scum; if EtR flips town and it spells out that his death upgrades Tau, then the scum team can't just Yolo assassinate etr without consequences.
I think that probably comes down to how strong the upgrade is. If it's strong enough I could see scum!Kami trying to push a town!EtR lynch to upgrade scum!Tau if the ability is good enough, then try to WIFOM the next Day or even sacrifice himself in order to let scum!Tau live.
Tldr: If EtR town, don't like kami.
If ETR is scum, Kami likely town for his push on etR.
If Tau town, kami looks better.
If Tau scum, worse.
If Kami town, then likely NAI on both slots.
If kami scum, read above.
This is mostly because I don't think Tau's gambit implies he is town no matter which way it works out, as others seem to. Kami was pretty adamant about solving the dichotomy by going after EtR and not Tau.

There actually can't be one of wagon if EtR is town. Grape and last are town also.

Ftr, i think theres a few ways to approach solving the neighbors. This i can do without catching up all the way, and i honestly dont think either etr or the tau slot are very far from rand behaviorally
I do think the role is real. First of all because for it to be fake theyd have to both be scum, and second because the way it was claimed, from both of them, makes that unlikely. Especially the part about them both determining that neighbor wasnt in their rolename does not feel like theater to me. Third because afaict the flip would show they werent really neighbors so one dying would out the other.
So im gonna rock with one is scum or both are town as the primary options.
Based on neighbors as a role alone, of course those are the two options already. Ive seen it opined that one is usually scum because otherwise theyd be masons. But dont think thats actually true because not knowing one anothers alignment by its very nature balances the role to be either.
HOWEVER
If KJ knows grapes alignment, thats two sets of pregame pairings. Its not exactly analogous, but then it becomes a group of 4 and it becomes more likely 1 scum in the grouping.
Cant be grape, could be kj but thats barely relevant because if kj scum hes some form of lying anyway. But if theyre both towm its a bit more likely one neighbor is scum.
HOWEVER
The ability unlock when neighbor dies does sound more likely to be v/v. Just because scum could just NK the town neighbor to unlock the ability at any time. But that only really matters if the ability is powerful. And without knowing what the ability is its hard to call this. So this is <percentage points> at best
NEXT
We have the gambit itself.
I want to be clear here i dont think its a worthwhile gambit. Or at least not one that even has a face value to take it at. Its a fun little thing that created a bunch of reactions/data points but the gambit itself doesnt say a lot about either slot.
FOR TAU making it is *lightly* townie, because it brings so much attention. And especially along with the knowledge he would have as scum that its a w/v neighborhood so hed be predisposed to think his neighbor flipping town looks bad for him.
But this is mitigated a bit by the ability unlock too. Maybe scumtau thought looking a little bad getting his neighbor lynched was worth an unknown ability.
FOR ETR i maintain there was no one townie way for him to respond. Some think he should have just outed tau immediately. Me and others would have played along to see what happens. Think those are both valid, and scum also could have done both of those things (or, technically, falling for it hook line and sinker and outing their whole team. But that was never a likely thing despite kamis 80% sure and its completely debunked now). But overall, i think we can all agree that ETRs response is not something that moves the needle a whole lot
BUT
Etr made one stance that really sticks out to me. When he said tau could be neutral, think that might be as close to a perspective slip as possible from ETR in this situation. Its not a thing that looms huge in my mind, but its a thing im not forgetting. Its also probably reason #4 theyre not w/w.
Honestly though ive been thinking around all of this for awhile and none of it is easy to grokk, and i dont feel hugely better off than just saying "i care about none of this theyre both null pending reread"
Come away from tau iso, and he
Says some stuff, asks some questions, decent readslist but certainly nothing unfakeable. Thing i like the most is admitting the gambit was bravado and thinking about all possiblities here, but he doesnt follow up on that (or his previous reads). Which is ubfortunate but not AI its clearly oog reasons for lurking out
*taking a town point from vaimes for shading him for that*
Etr iso, think its mostly good posts. I agree with several of his stances, can see his processes. It looks town to me. As with tau theres some element of "good posters gonna make good posts", but still a townlean except
And at this point, I'll just say it since I'm 99.9% to be the lynch. He could be a neutral. His flavor probably has something to do with taking over the family. I don't know what his ability would be when he unlocks it. But by pulling this gambit he can get some town cred (i.e. Why would a scum risk this).
Is just
A scum mindset.

On my eventual rainbow wall
Thats not super satisfying, but probably all i should have on 2 good, lowposting players on day 2... guess were building this rainbow wall from the middle, and continuing to read etr and adding hr to the mix.
I guess next step is completing the placement of Mechanically Related Players
@grape
Does your initial read on kj still stand? Has he followed up on the new methods and adapted them to this game in a way that feels natural?
Do you think scumkj would fake a n0 greencheck on you?
@kj
What do you think your role existing means about the neighbors?
Does it leave any chance of grape being the godfather?
Hi guys, I'm Highroller, I'm town, I'm Cecilio, if that helps, my ability is I can communicate with my wife Beatrice at nights, roleclaiming immediately is NAI for me.
I'm confused on how GJ is scum reading Tom when Tom is doing nothing but hunting.
Feels like a fake read possibly? IDK, just feels off.
i mean i think im townie af but grape/vezok/kami scumreading me too. Possibly others but thats what i remember.
Though i imagine hard for kami to keep justifying that with rhand and last both flipping town.

I don't know that it means anything for the neighbors that my role exists. Literally all it does is know Grape is town. It's one sided. There are benefits to being able to talk outside the thread that just knowing one of the person's alignments don't provide (they could cooperate to catch scum, perhaps share some "this person is scum when they do this" that the scum they're talking about wouldn't be privy to for instance) provided they are both town and decide to trust each other. There's also a more than random chance that they don't trust each other and end up treating the other as a dichotomy and mislynching one or both of them.
Given the volatility of that relationship... We can absolutely all be town.
It's also absolutely possible that one of the neighbors is scum. I don't think my role precludes any permutation of that neighbor team.
FTR, btw... I also thought Tau might be a neutral. If you look back at one of my earlier posts, I reference him being a lone wolf. That's what that meant: I thought he might be a neutral. Wouldn't be the first time a neutral was paired in a chat with a townie. (Animal Mafia, I was SK and unlocked a chat with Puddlejumper, town).
And with regards to your question about Godfathers, no. There is a 0% chance that my peek is untrustworthy. As I said earlier... I asked back when Grape was being crazy scummy. I was effectively told that this is not the type of game that would have an untrustworthy n0 peek.
With regards to my specific view of the neighborhood as of now, I think Tau/Highroller has a higher chance of being scum than EtR does. I really like EtR's reaction to the gambit. I also think scum wouldn't think to change the list to something MORE CREDIBLE from a 5 man scumteam down to a more likely 4. It's an unnecessary risk. Also of note is he keeps calm, as if he's being honest. I do not believe Tau was whatever Mafia that didn't know his team or whatever. That's a 5 man scumteam made of two confirmed town.I also disliked his Unofficial Votals, as it could easily be Overly Helpful Townie behavior.
Part of the reason I thought he was a neutral actually is the way he approached the gambit in combonation with his ability unlock. He was trying to get EtR lynched for the gambit, and it's hard for me to ignore the potential other motive aside from the one he claimed: to unlock his ability. I actually don't think he's just a regular Mafia either. Maybe Tau is some sort of Mafia genius but coming up with that gambit (which is a genius way to appear to be looking for Mafia) while being Mafia would be... something. Next level.
Similarly, if EtR is Mafia, then he handled that really well. It's easier to assume he's not than assume he handled that in probably the best way he could. I just... can't see that being the case.
I await Highroller's posting to solve Tau's slot, because the neighborhood is most likely either T/T or T/N to me.
My biggest issue with EtR at the moment is the fact that he parked his vote on Rhand basically all day. That's why I asked whether that was a town or scum thing to do to park a vote on a townie all day.
I mean, theoretically, town are less likely to do that I would think? Scum would wanna put their votes where they can be the most useful. Parking it on someone who's pressure stopped being a thing at at least one point Yesterday seems like a wasted vote that's not like... actively helping his team?

So Vez, what's your opinion on the whole Gambit/ neighbor thing?
What exactly do you mean by this?
I've said it before that I think it's a pretty dumb gambit and that it's pretty much NAI for both of them. Only EtR's reaction was eyebrow raising, but we kinda eliminated the day 1 team slip possibility.
I don't really like how Tau disappeared after the gambit, but it might be due to real life reasons so I'm also not basing my read on this.

I mean, theoretically, town are less likely to do that I would think? Scum would wanna put their votes where they can be the most useful. Parking it on someone who's pressure stopped being a thing at at least one point Yesterday seems like a wasted vote that's not like... actively helping his team?
Scum killed Last to disprove the theory.
All the rest are out scum.
EtR goes in town lean I guess, and Tau is still town lean though sadly not confirmed.
@DV: Why are you sure that scum killed LW?
Cause Tom, EtR and myself decided the best way to keep the two of them alive was to kill last.
But really, I doubt there is a SK in this game and if a vig killed last I'd flip *****. I'm also 70% sure there is no doc in this game.
Oh lol didn't think about it like that.
[redacted] I'll talk about it when claims come in.
Yeah you are townie as ****. My reads were just awful day 1.
I need to re-order my thoughts and I'm lazy and don't feel like it. I think I still want to go after Mindreaver/replacement, but I'm not convinced and don't know who he makes sense yet.
