KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

@killjoy
Rhand has had a very townie entrance and has continued to stay townie so far at least, where does your scum lean come from? Also I'm at work so if I misread your post, I'm sorry
@KJ, if you think Grape is town, what do you think of his push on LW? Also, why did you ask those specific people about their opinions on Tubba?
I think Last ALWAYS gets pushed regardless of alignment so I'm not thinking about it too much. If last is scum, I'll figure it out.
Those specific people are people I don't have opinions of yet. So I'm trying to start a conversation with them.
Actually, you're in that boat too. What do you think of Tubba?
@Last: His entrance has been the same as always. What makes it very townie?
And no, you read it right.

@KJ, Tubba has been quiet and on the margins, which is slightly worrying. Then again, so have I so... *shrug*. Nullish.
I don't get the push on LW, at all. Tau votes him for not RVSing, which is... whatever. Riku votes him which I'm guessing is RVS. Rodemy then votes him for not answering a question and continues to go after him aggressively. GF jumps in with a naked vote, asking for more people to vote him. I read the thread, and I see four votes on him and it makes my head hurt.
Still wasn't much of a fan of Rod's responses, and his aggressive nature was one of the reasons why I scum read him in the last game together, it could be just his personality,
I agree that early train was disgusting, and I thought Grapefruit entered it the worst
Of how he responded, not his responses in general, his tone was aggressive, his responses to other people are fine even some of his questions are good, but I dislike how he's choosing to handle me
His entrance pinged me as well, I could probably give a level-0 read on him and say he's trying to stray away from the crowd with that statement on my early train, but I also think it was garbage, but I'm biased
@Tom, you feel towny enough. I have you in my townbloc along with LW. Not saying you're easy to read, but I think I can read you... decently?
@Rhand, what makes you say that? Also, since you mentioned being drunk, what's a good Dutch drink to try? I ran out of limoncello this weekend and need to get something new.

It’s not the best choice, but it’s a choice nonetheless
I mean, the option that goes along with him not believing it is just saying stuff to go with blustery confidence im scum so you should wait to see if he just keeps pushing me and looking for connections or is actually thinking things through
But now you have to watch how he reacts to being called out too so that should be fun
Jesus Tom. You're spilling all the beans.
I count probably 8 or 9 people in this thread that I know, that know Tom well enough, to know that we aren't gonna get a good read on him in the first few pages, even when he does something ridiculously scummy. Fair enough?
So is it necessary to actually say that in thread?
Now, the only two people who spoke up about that fact, when Tom did his PR-fishing (which wasn't helpful, especially because the follow up made it super obvious he found one (or did he? Or does LW want scum to think so? WIFOM fo dayz)) were Grape and Rhand.
So in the worlds where I see Tom is scum, doing some kind of weirdo gambit (which to be fair is in his wheelhouse), I don't see Rhand proclaiming him town and also being a scumbuddy. I think that we would see buddies distancing themselves from something like that, which makes Grape's defense a little harder to swallow (he's probably town, BUT TWO RED FLAGS). That's a fence sit if I've ever seen one. Combined with his opportunistic 4th vote on LW, to keep that wagon rolling, doesn't look good.
In the world where Tom is town and is just being Tom, Rhand's read is probably not alignment indicative either way. Scum could be buddying, or town could just be not "reading tom at level 0". Grape's comment still looks gross. Like "here is a little shade for tom, who is probably town"? I don't think that comes from town mindset. Like, I just don't see how it's helpful to state that.
Anyway, my take-away at the moment was I don't like Grape.
So my question for Grape is, when will you share what these red flags are? Can it be now?
-appeases tom
-politely asks rhand to get off his back and talk about drinks
Yeah i buy that as scum lngrr reacting to some inklings of pressure vote lngrr
ditto, idk if I should be mindmelding with you, I'm hoping grape can look better, but I still think his overall stances, and questions, were just busy body work, and his vote was bad
Also, KJ, I'm not ignoring your questions, my time is limited until later tonight. I'm off to pick up my kid, so I have to wait until he goes to sleep to write more.

It’s not the best choice, but it’s a choice nonetheless
@all, blah. Fine. But don't expect some long post. I have a freaking Excel course to start working on and I hate Excel.
Not RVSing is not scummy, in my opinion. Tau jumping on him for that is weird, but not enough to force him out of null, just something to keep my eye on. Riku voted him RVS, so no, not scummy. (Also, I think I am bad at reading Riku.) You are... leaning scum. I don't get the aggression. Also, your "putting words in someone's mouth" comment to Tom felt off, as to me it's pretty clear Tom was jokingly stating that because he hadn't put out an RVS vote, then he isn't part of LW's "I hate these RVS posts" comment, therefore making him town. I don't get why you would jump on that. Grape's jump seems opportunistic as heck and I want to hear Kami's answer to my question.
@LW, you two are injecting a lot into the thread. I tend to townside people talking. If you make some weird pushes then I will worry about it later, but I'm fine right now just looking at the relative output and saying, "Sure, town."
You guys are moving way too fast for me. Someone asked whether I voted for #57 only - the answer is that, at the time, yes. Mindreaver: I already answered that.
@grrr
Idk if that's a reliable way to read Tom, and normally I'd argue that me top posting is an automatic town lean for myself, but I managed to top post as scum in an MU game, so I wouldnt suggest reading either of us that way
Also the quantity means nothing over quality, if you want to say we are town for now, fine, but the latter means more than the first
You guys are moving way too fast for me. Someone asked whether I voted for #57 only - the answer is that, at the time, yes. Mindreaver: I already answered that.
But it isn't? You are literally putting words in his mouth.
Before I go into anything else this post makes me think we're dealing with town!Rod. It's so completely different to his recent scum game transitioning out of RVS without feeling like "I need to change scum!me transitioning out of RVS."
Anyway onto Wisp. So when I came in and saw we already had a wagon forming on wisp and my vote could officially make it a thing, especially if presented as real, I decided I had to vote him. By making it a real thing (tm) I'd force a ton of reactions.
KA is sort of the first (wisp is actually the first, but he's blindingly obvious town!Wisp unless his scum game has leveled up since I last saw it) here:
Yeah I just saw scum Rodemy in ghostbusters, this isn't it. That #57 tho
unvote vote Lastwhisper
Knowing a bit about KA this is somewhat reasonable as both alignments, but has more scum equity. He tunnels as town, is prone to jump at little gotcha's and there is just enough there I wouldn't be floored if this was town KA. However, scum!KA feeling like a thing(tm) happened and trying to get onto it while it is still hot seems more likely. There isn't a ton in 57 to leap in with conviction, and I think scum!KA is more likely to find a mountain in a molehill than town!KA is. This also makes him unlikely to be buddies with tom (even before tom started pushing him).
LMAO people are so triggered that I don't have an avatar.
Well that's good it makes finding scum easier(for me).
I'll make a real post when enough posts are posted for my post to analyze enough posts.
This from ZD strikes me as mildly suspicious too for basically the opposite reason. If LW/Rod is town of course he'd think nothing has happened yet as scum. I don't know what ZD is like as scum but there is a recurring trope among some scum of finding it really hard to jump in and play. There was already plenty happening to react to. The fact that he ignores it is slightly scum+ and in scum!ZD worlds very town+ for Rod and LW.
Tom's reactions to my LW nonsense are par for the course for him. Wagon speculation is his wheelhouse. And he'd totally make the KJ read both alignments, but I think the clarity is town+. He loves to obfuscate as both alignments, but occasionally he gets genuinely excited about something and enthusiasm for solving slips through early as town and I think that's what happened here. He knows I've been working on this theory so it could be a swerve, but meh, he denied believing it was accurate anyway so I don't think he would feel the need to swerve. It's not enough to lock him as town, but plenty to trust him as town and ignore him for now and lock him in as town till lylo if KA flips scum. One of the red flags is his interaction with Tau which would be textbook tom openwolfing.
Wisp reacted in a super townie fashion to all of this. Though hilarious given 135 and the lack of follow up.
Rhand's reaction is tbd.
Rod ignoring the LW stuff I did isn't surprising given he was voting with condition there, think it's NAI. Him asking for the red flag is a small town+.
Tubba ignoring the wagon to just focus on the people on it feels like it should be a thing but I can't make heads or tales of it. I want to say it's townie but I can't bring myself to do so. The reasoning would be scum would pivot to pointing blame at people on wagon, but that's me projecting and doesn't fit Tubba's slightly passive playstyle.
LnGrrrR's 159 looks like the sort of scum pivot I was talking in the Tubba section, but not exactly. It's trying to tear down the town read on me over it, but it's not really digging into the wagon and 170 gets into that a bit more but not in a particularly agenda'y way. Slight scum+ but I don't trust my read because I'm prone to OMGUS.
Mindreaver's 184 screams town. This is absolutely the townie way to push me for my naked and persistent vote.
Mindreaver, Vaimes, Rhand, XTD, talk to me about Tubba.
Tom and Tau are in a special category called "Will Not Be Solved By Conventional Means"
Town is probably Grape, Maybe Last, Maybe Rod. Vaimes is usually easier for me to read so IDK what that's about.
Talk to me about your Grape town read.
And lol @you thinking I’m scum again.
The first thing that pinged me about tubba was his #97 and it felt town to me.
@Rhand: I've seen something of Grape that says he's town to me. I won't explain it quite yet.
