@Tom are the rules exactly the same as last time? (Learned not to assume stuff)
My initial knee-jerk reaction to the setup was “ignore Cop results unless there’s a mechanical contradiction.”
Also that the Miller is basically a townfirm and shouldn’t claim D1 unless they’re about to be lynched, otherwise the NK gives no info.
Unless tom changes his mind, the Godfather can return a guilty result if targeted by the Framer, which further cements my feelings of “ignore Cop results unless contradiction occurs.”
So basically let’s play this D1 as if it were mountainous, and lynch people who don’t genuinely care about a town victory.
I’m drinking a lot of vodka tonight and will be out of commission for a hot minute.
In the meantime, I need all living players to make three (3) quality posts so that I can solve the game and immediately be NK’d for my WIM and overall obvious townness.
True but on the other hand claiming Miller now gives us extra % chance to lynch mafia, don't you think its important considering we cant afford many mislynches
(Is my plan to look like I am not the miller working?)
Lets get into the RVS fun too Vote TheTiger47 cause tigers are scary.
I don't see how it would help mafia more than town. If we tell who we checked, but do not tell the results, mafia HAS to claim who they checked without knowing who is the miller. The miller can therefore act as a scum trap. If player A claims to have checked player X, and then players B and C also claim to have checked player X, we can then use a first in-last out (or completely random) system of claiming WHAT the result was. If we force mafia to claim the result first, we might catch them in a lie. We prevent them from piggy-backing on another player's claim.
Now please explain how this would benefit the mafia, as I do not see it.
That's a good point.
I thought it benefited the mafia because they know who is town and who is not, but I didn't take the miller into account.
Thats actually a good reason why the miller shouldn't claim.
In my mind if the mafia knew everything then waiting with the results until everyone claimed targets gives them the opportunity to fake results without a real cop counter-claiming them.
But yeah you are right, with the miller it doesnt benefit mafia more, my mistake.
OK, I see. Of course, the problem is, we force the miller to lie as well, since he must not claim and therefore must pose as a cop, but I think we are kind of doing that already. So I would go for it and see what happens. Unless of course a better plan presents itself.

Eh, keep them in mind. GF flip day 1 = easy wolf game.
We made some posts. There were even some ideas. Not much, but still, I would like to see input from you and Riku, instead of reminiscing of older games, talking of booze and how easy this game will be after we lynch GF Day 1, and of course urging us to post
You had the opportunity to engage, and instead chose to just diss me, as I will always defend te right to ***** post.
Your suggestion is terrible for a multitude of reasons. For nothing else other than the fact that even without your restriction, the wolves have no reason to lie (they know how each result will end up, even if the miller is not revealed).

You claim my suggestion is terrible for a multitude of reasons, yet you only state one, which is not even correct. The mafia cannot know how each result will end up, since they do not know who the miller is. If they decide to play it safe, and only claim to investigate GF or the one the lawyer set up to look guilty, which are the only two options they can be sure of (besides the lawyer being scum, but why would they want to point that out), this will create a pattern which will help nail the second scum once we find the first, if nothing else.
I genuinely do not see how this suggestion is terrible, I do not follow your logic, and I feel like you do not really have any solid reasons why my suggestion is supposed to be terrible. Until you explain in more detail, Vote: Gentleman Johnny

They know who the framer is, there's another. It also unnecessarily drags out the results, and whose to say you don't make the wolves go last, and *****. Agree on order, full claim, and go from there. Your vote is also absolutely atrocious, and I will be prepared to full out lynch you if you don't back off and realize that this set of posts from my end makes no sense from a town perspective.
Unless you are also planning to cycle who targets who (which has the issue of nk interference).
I also did engage, and explained why your idea didn't work. It is at best, a relatively irrelevant distraction and at worst, a way for wolves to just hide and appear to interact with the game mechanics, rather than look at behavior, you chose to be distracted because I was rather flippant.
There are other mechanic reasons that I don't want to spell out in case Vaimes isn't one of the wolves, that your decision is not the fail safe you think it is. I suppose what I can say is that a "pattern" that last for 2 days at most, and can create a lot of false positives looks really bad. I hope I don't have to explain why the fix to that "choosing who looks at what" is not a good idea...
Not sure what to make of this argument & how both GJ and Tiger chose to ignore my question (test).
I would like to think they are mafia that were afraid to answer due to being caught, but could also be town that just waived it off (not sure why they would though?). I basically looked for any question that can cause mafia to freeze on online interaction (due to risk of being caught by answering) and thats exactly what happened.
@Everyone else - You think GJ & Tiger ignoring my question is AI?
@Riku you know what Vaimes expect of you, what do you expect of us?

I don't think we should completely ignore cop results, if two cops get "guilty" results, we could narrow down the Framer, assuming none of the two targeted players is Miller.
@Meteor: Don't really know what we can achieve by revealing role names, except force miller to reveal or lie to town. This is the second time you have soft proposed a miller reveal. I really don't like this. So - no, unless you explain in more detail why that would benefit us. Sorry for not responding earlier, got caught up in my exchange with GJ. Speaking of which..
They know who the framer is, there's another. It also unnecessarily drags out the results, and whose to say you don't make the wolves go last, and *****. Agree on order, full claim, and go from there.
I have said they know who the framer (lawyer) is, literally in the post you quoted, but they would not want to point that out, would they. They have 6 options, since they will not draw attention to the framer; 1 is GF, 4 are cops, 1 is miller. One of the five is likely going to be the framers target, so they either have to claim they visited the target at night, or they have visited GF. All other options are risky for them, since they can unknowingly claim the miller is innocent or a cop is guilty, which gives us valuable data - if we are lucky, on the same day, if a cop investigated the same person. So your initial statement, that scum knows how each player will flip even without miller reveal, does not stand, and it was the only argument you stated against an idea you claimed was terrible. Until now, at least. However, your idea with agreeing on order and full claim should function better, I agree.
Unless you are also planning to cycle who targets who (which has the issue of nk interference).

I did not plan to cycle targets. No need to explain to me why this is a bad idea. I did not even mention that.
You did not engage, from my perspective. You ignored the idea, and when I prodded you, you dismissed it without going into detail, why it's supposed to be a bad idea. Surely you can see, how from my perspective, that would be a possible scum move.
The reasons against my idea that you claim now, are what I wanted to hear from you. I agree, this is a mechanical idea that can drag on, it may have results and it may not have them, but I do not see how following this idea would prevent us from using our main tool, which is interaction. How wolves could hide in it, I can see that, and I can see the argument of false positives. These are all good reasons against the idea. I don't really agree these cons outweigh the possible pros of my idea, but I do understand why you would believe that and be against it. I wish you had just stated them sooner. I cannot read your mind and I obviously didn't see the flaws you see as obvious. Not all of us are on the same level, and I don't know any of you guys and how you play.
Your vote is also absolutely atrocious, and I will be prepared to full out lynch you if you don't back off and realize that this set of posts from my end makes no sense from a town perspective.
I do not see how discussing and idea makes no sense from town perspective. I do not feel like I am pushing for the implementation of it, neither do I want to do that, but I do want to hear other reasons for and against it, rather than just "this obviously sucks". If you have eased my mind regarding your view of the idea with these two posts, you have just rang a whole different set of alarms by aggressively responding to my vote of you. I use pressure voting. I will vote for people who do not give me the answers I seek and seem to be avoiding them. And I do not feel a townie would respond like you have on my vote of you. You are basically threatening to rile the others to lynch me if I do not remove my vote. This makes much more sense coming from scum than from town. So I only have one chance, really. To leave my vote where it is, unless a better option presents itself until the end of the Day.
@Riku can you link me to a town and mafia game of you (prefer in a small game around 7 people like this one if possible)
@Abu why my question got your response over all the other content in this thread, other than the Vaimes post.
@Vaimes later when I am not using the phone to post.
Because you asked a general question and there was nothing else going on other than the Tiger vs GJ argument.
I feel some of your questions are forced and aimless to be honest.
I feel like my posts are being misread, not sure if its my fault or not.
I wasnt asking to claim role, I was asking to claim rolename, big difference - and like I said it was a trick question trying to look for mafia based on online interaction. Obviously even if it got mafia worried, a quick look back shows that there were no rolenames in the first game at all - both whether you are a cop or a mafia, and the same would fit here. If that wasnt enough, they can ask tom about it and I assume he would have answered. That's why I didn't wait for more answers and explained it in my next post only to see afterwards that Abu answered it later although I explained it already. I was looking for an immediate answer kinda like Tiger just gave, only Tiger obviously thought I meant role and not rolename so that answer is also NAI.
So no my questions are not forced or aimless. Also, content always helps solve the game (who are the mafia) if you look at the motive behind it.
@Meteor: Don't really know what we can achieve by revealing role names, except force miller to reveal or lie to town. This is the second time you have soft proposed a miller reveal. Your entire tone sounds ridiculously mechanical, and you are a wolf, sir.
Giving you an answer you don't accept =/= I am a wolf. It means you can't understand why your idea would be a bad idea. It
either correct false positive, or worse, false negatives. There are 3 days MAX to this game, so even if a pattern could be established, it doesn't make sense to do claims + names.
Also, I am being purposefully cryptic for a reason. If you think as a wolf, I just decided to pew-pew your idea in a such aggressive way against a town player and not justify it as easy town points, you are sadly mistaken.
Surely you can see, how from my perspective, that would be a possible scum move
Except I didn't dismiss it without reason. There are loads of problems with it, and some I don't want to give ideas to the wolves, like you did. Because maybe if you didn't open your point, the wolves might have realized that they couldn't just target the framed target, and instead have to target the gf, which would have helped a lot more.
I actually think you are town after this exchange for two reasons, despite my opening sentence: 1). You push on me is so absurdly bad, I mistook it for a wolf, but it might just be TWTBW. I can't believe you think not giving you the answer you seek is a town reason to vote someone. It is actually a god awful reason to lynch someone, so unless this is your first game, I am inclined to believe you are smarter than that. 2). This is a short game, and people are watching this rather than pushing one way or the other. Short period of time, I know, but I would think in a t/w situation, we would have felt a push one way or the other. So I am backing off, but if you can't understand why I am being cryptic about this, or why I think this is an overall bad idea, then we have nothing else to discuss and I am no longer interested in pursuing you for now.
I must be accidentally psychic because I spent all of yesterday being way sicker than I could ever imagine. And now I have to work all day, so. Catch me tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

Yay, online people.
What do you think about claiming our rolenames?
Nah, I don't like playing like this.
Abu, What did you mean by "I don't like playing like this"? Did you read my post #27 before you posted this?
I mean isn't that modgaming? claiming role names and seeing if scum have different PM's than town. I honestly didn't read all of that post first, I didn't notice the last part. So you were fishing for reactions?
I don't feel like its modgaming or if I would call it fishing for reactions exactly, I was just trying to see if I can sense an uncomfortable mafia under pressure.
I know JoeTerry has the right to remain silent, but this is taking it a bit too far.
@Tom - Prod on JoeTerry?
I second this.
@Gentleman: I feel like we do not really understand each other. The problem was not that I wouldn't be happy with the answer you gave, but rather I felt there was an absence of an answer. I felt you made an impression there are tons of reasons, but avoided giving them. Since I did not see what the reasons could be, it felt like trying to appear above me, while giving no real essence and trying to shoot down an idea that could be bad for you. With your last few posts, you have changed my mind, and I apologize if I released too much info and alerted wolves to certain traps. This was not my intent. The only thing that is bugging me still is your reaction to my vote, but I guess it could be the way you play, since nobody else felt like this was even worth mentioning, so I am willing to retract my vote for now. Another thing that seems town aligned was calling me out as a wolf and then changing your mind in basically the same post (albeit it was actually posted in two parts, probably hit Post reply too soon). This does not seem like something a wolf would do.
I don't feel like its modgaming or if I would call it fishing for reactions exactly, I was just trying to see if I can sense an uncomfortable mafia under pressure.
Where is everyone? Out on patrol?
I don't know. I just feel like apart from me and Tiger, no one is really doing anything, but it also being day 1 is just real rough.
Vote Abuhumaid
Got to start somewhere, and I feel like that slot is coasting, and not really active hunting.
Anyway for me the top2 candidates to lynch are Riku and Abu so far. I would be willing to settle on Vaimes or JoeTerry. It's really hard to get any solid reads with the low content made so far so I am still hoping for more discussions before I will place my vote.

I feel some of your questions are forced and aimless to be honest.
Your entire tone sounds ridiculously mechanical, and you are a wolf, sir.
Giving you an answer you don't accept =/= I am a wolf. It means you can't understand why your idea would be a bad idea. It

Thanks, I will try to look at your ISO when I have computer available, its too hard on the phone.
I will also add the avatar when I get to the computer.
When are you gonna explain your plan? Only after everyone gave 2 names?
@Tom are the rules exactly the same as last time?
Also, I am being purposefully cryptic for a reason. If you think as a wolf, I just decided to pew-pew your idea in a such aggressive way against a town player and not justify it as easy town points, you are sadly mistaken.

Meteor
To whoever asked. I get what this is about, but don't like it either.

Names uh. Tiger Meteor.
@Tom - Prod on JoeTerry?
How do I ISO your posts in the town links (the other forum)?
Feel better!
Abu, What did you mean by "I don't like playing like this"? Did you read my post #27 before you posted this?
Where is everyone? Out on patrol?
Unvote (is this a viable option?)
