Like I legit have no idea why you or anyone would think lurking is scum-indicative in this kind of setup when MINIMAL power wolfing pretty much guarantees a win.
If anything, I think that’s a scummy narrative to push coming from a player who knows better and you should be eaten by maggots for your insolence.
I think Meteor is much more underwhelming compared to that one game we were together in. I can’t remember if it was BBB or something else, but I distinctly remember him being universally townread pretty consistently.
I have no feelings towards him whatsoever besides “active enough to complain about activity,” he’s asking some questions but they don’t really have that zing where you know he’s on the hunt.
Eh maybe I need to find that game and see how well I’m actually remembering this.
I admit, meteor isn't reading as purely as he did in the first cops game, but I still think he has good tone, and good hunting. Silver's posting is a vast improvement.
It isn't so much as being active though. It's "give me something to work with" even if we are shooting in the dark.
Terry disappearing kind of makes me doubt the slot.
Riku disappearing after what his entire post could be just a giant middle finger to the thread if he is town is just terrible play. I could flip a coin on him right now.

I don't like low posters, this is pretty nai for me as you are well aware.
and my issue, which is always misrepresented isn't that I am lynching people because they aren't posting. I am lynching them because their posts are *****. Ganderin_Dan is a prime example of someone who can low post and do it towny. He aint ever going to be the top poster, but his small isos look townie.
But yeah, all wolves have to do is post. When townies slank, they give the wolves extra room to manuever. It sucks, but there are definitely players that can just wreck wolves. Imagine if every townie was actually solving or trying to solve. It puts pressure on the wolves to try hard, and pretend to solve. Makes the game interesting.
The thing is we only get 2 mislynches in a 7 player game. Giving slankers a pass for day 1 means they are a headache on LyoL.
Let's assume GJ is mafia and fooling me.. I'm pretty sure Abu and Riku are not his mafia buddies. In that case my reads sucks and I probably lose us the game.
@Vaimes please check Cops 1 for the way mafia played there (low activity). I agree with everything GJ said, and I can see mafia being lurkers even in micros.
Please explain to me what you meant by "that was sarcasm" in #141. What are you refering to that was sarcastic? I assumed you meant the answer to GJ. Did I read it wrong?
I mean, the way this game is playing, if I am a wolf, I bloody deserve to win.
This is absurd. And I think we just need to move on, but feel free if you have done *****, to do a quick iso read or try to hunt. Ima just throw darts at the board. I think tom should have put a deadline on this because it's taking too long.
Yet says he has no strong feelings about me. Am I wrong for seeing this as contradiction? (That I don't think town Vaimes ever makes)
tbf, he made a comment that he is flip flopping a lot. I actually read it as more town, but I am still not convinced. He is just a wolf read that has town equity.
I am thinking about his latest post and it's not like he can go as mafia and say "yeah I am delaying my posts because I am mafia", and this whole "I am not responding to mafia" is a good cover for mafia to take.
BTW, If Riku is the miller and refuse to claim that playing against his win-con IMO.
Ok, we have the advantage of this being an open setup. So we know that there 2 scum of 7 players, that means if we mislynch today and we know there's no way to stop a scum night kill, we go into tomorrow with a 2 vs 3, and one misvote and game over. That essentially means that bussing someone should be extremely dangerous for scum. Now that we are having this discussion, I'm throwing that out the window, but up until now, I think it's pretty safe to say scum wouldn't be pushing each other.
I know I'm town. Tiger kicks off the Riku/Ruma wagon, I also thought Tiger's stance on the Miller was pro town. Meteor and GJ both get pretty quickly onto the Riku/Ruma wagon, so I think it's also safe to say that they aren't scum with Riku/Ruma. GJ puts Ruma at L-1, so extremely unlikely to be scum together. Now that I look back at that, it's extremely bad look for GJ this early in the game. I think Vaimes has been very town this game and I'm still not getting why people are worried about him. Maybe they expect more out of him then I do (no offense Vaimes, I like you but am never really blown away by your play, I mean it's good, but I just feel like a lot of people expect a lot out of you). So for me it really leaves GJ, Meteor, Silver/Abu and Ruma/Riku.
I really thought Abu was exhibiting some weird paranoid tics, and Silver hasn't really done much to wipe that from my mind, but definitely has not made me MORE suspicious. GJ seems to crave control in this game and I'm not quite getting some of his actions, but I really doubt he's scum with Riku/Ruma. I would say the same for Meteor, but I think his play has been pretty solid. I'll need to go back and re-read his posts. I also, didn't really see how the wagon formed on Riku/Ruma either. He's another one I'll need to re-read. I'll be right back after a re-read...
2 minutes later... Ok I just re-read Meteor. I just noticed the trap about the role names he tried to set. I like it. He can be town. I also noticed that he specifically voted Riku/Ruma when GJ asked him to vote Abu/Silver. This is interesting. I think that means that IF Meteor is scum, I'd look at Abu/Silver as a partner, but definitely not partners with GJ. When GJ just says OK, whatever and then throws the L-1 vote on Riku/Ruma after Meteor does, really doesn't look good. This would imply that GJ is NOT partners with Riku/Ruma or Abu/Silver. Then who would GJ be partners with? If I stick to my guns and say Tiger and Vaimes are town and Riku/Ruma and Abu/Silver are town, I know I'm town, the only possibility would be GJ & Meteor, who I also think is town... does that mean just straight up GJ is town? I think it might.
Granted this is all based on the idea that bussing in this game is REALLY stupid, but I think it checks out. That means:
1. Gentleman johnny - Town
2. MeteorShower - Town
3. AbuHumaid - ???
4. Rumanshi - ???
5. TheRealStinkyJoeTerry - Town
6. TheTiger47 - Town
7. Vaimes - Town
So.. that's where I'm at. I'm going back and re-reading Abu/Silver and Riku/Ruma again later this afternoon.
Oh wow, I don't know why I had in the back of my mind that we got two lynches /before/ LyLo.
In that case, I'd probably just lynch Riku toDay, because if he's town, lives, and isn't the Miller, scum can probably push there without much blowback. Out of everyone alive, he's probably the least proactive.
-
Meteor, you can vote me if you want. Your hesitation scares me more than your suspicion.
Also I am literally not paying attention to the postcount. I don't think volume-clearing would apply in a micro.
Bussing isn't that bad for wolves, don't think. They still only need two mislynches, if Ruma is town they probably aren't even in danger of getting their partner lynched at this point. Like, I'd raise my eyebrow at bussing the godfather because its much harder for the framer to go deep but... if the framer flips, I'd bet the godfather is on the wagon.
I guess I'm just gonna go ahead and say I think Ruma is the miller since you guys are insisting he claims / trying to lynch him still. That post he made where he magic bagged makes no sense for him to make as a wolf... Like, if he's a wolf who thinks he's going down, he just hard claims miller if he's trying to draw a counter claim.
@Terry: I'd still like your GJ read. You seemed to agree with him pretty hard on Ruma and now you're, like, trying to fit him on wolf teams and stuff. Could you walk me through the thought process there?
I just thought of something. How likely do you guys think any one of us asked tom via PM if votes on Riku instead of Rumanshi count, before tom revealed that in #123?

I agree with most of this. I wouldn't be exactly sure godfather would be on the framer wagon, but I wouldn't be sure he is off it either.

If it was a doctor role in question and not a miller, I'd say you are right. But going into dipole to fish out a miller? If I were scum, I wouldn't do that. In Riku's position, I'd only reveal if I really was town miller. In that case, I'd reveal as soon as I reached 3 votes. This would make me safe from the lynch and would give town the chance to hit scum, or would force scum to counter-claim and reveal themselves. Both are better options for town than miller going down in a lynch without revealing. However, as scum or non-miller town, I'd try to convince the rest of the players I'm innocent and not go down the miller rabbit hole at all.
I read terry's post a bunch of times, and still not sure how I feel about it. I get what's town about it, but it feels strange to me. Can't explain why.
Glad to see all the riveting conversation has been had.
Like the town part of it is that it comes off stream of consciousness, and the flip-flop in the same post seems weird when he starts going into me, only to back off for the reason that "no one looks like they could be a GJ buddy" which I don't get how you can make that conclusion. I think his conclusion of "bussing is dangerous" is a derp. Bussing/distancing is quite good, when you only need 2 mislynches to go through. Bussing is more less likely to happen in good circles when there are a large number of mislynches. In addition, he ends at 2 of the remaining 3 people left that I have, with giving vaimes a free town pass.
Maybe I am being too critical. Riku is almost certainly not a wolf, whether I want to admit it or not. His attitude made me want a hammer right off the bat, but that tends to be more town, just stupid town. Suicidal stupid town.
That leaves exactly Vaimes/Silver. Silver has a decent opening, I wouldn't mind giving a day to. Maybe that's why terry is pinging me more. I need another wolf if I am backing off of riku and looking elsewhere.
This day is lasting really long for a micro. Feel free if you are town of trying to do something relevant. For now, Vote Vaimes.
@Terry: I'd still like your GJ read. You seemed to agree with him pretty hard on Ruma and now you're, like, trying to fit him on wolf teams and stuff. Could you walk me through the thought process there?
I'm not sure what you don't get about it. I seemed to be pretty detailed, but I'll try to rephrase. I would say that your comment about me agreeing pretty hard with GJ on Ruma is VERY misrepresentative. I think that statement alone explains why you don't get my GJ read, because you didn't actually read it and just skimmed my list at the end. So try a bit harder. Now that I think about it I think that makes my decision easier when it comes to my read on you. We'll get to that later.
I originally wanted to believe GJ was town because of his effort, but things kept pinging me, like his need to be team leader, his push for Vaimes who I still think is town, the Riku wagon, etc. Then I tried to think about who he could be partners with and none of it really lined up. Granted (as I stated in my last post), this is under the assumption that bussing Day 1 seems pretty dumb for scum. Yeah, I get it, bussing is a thing, but if I were scum in this game I would want to push two mislynches and be done with it instead of pussyfooting around with bussing.
@GJ: The difference in this game is that if scum lose one Day 1, Day 2 goes from just needing one wrong vote to needing two misvotes Day 2, and 1 misvote Day 3. It's a huge difference.
The need to be team leader is right now, the whole game is doing *****, and I have a habit of dying night 1. Like, a lot. Like a real ******* lot. But we are just spitting at each other. Like, what big game changing post do you think is going to happen? Are you going to go back and hard reread someone and make a case? I might. Also, is it pinging you because you actually think it's wolfy, or is it because it's new?
I am telling you, bussing happens. This isn't disputable. I have seen it happens in turbos on my, and in micros here. Let's say me/you/meteor/riku jumped on silver, and he flips wolf. Are you going to look at his wagon for wolves, or off wagon? You have exactly two chances, and you have the make the decision that day if you think bus or no bus. There isn't enough PoE to help you out.
My daily 10 minutes are up, still not up to the latest post.. soon will return to being more active.
@Vaimes Why JT is your top town read?
@Silver You seem confident that Riku isn't mafia, then put him at L-1. If he is the miller then the mafia knows it by now anyway, At least let have this knowledge as town. IMO he is just as likely to be mafia that saves himself by scaring town into thinking they are gonna lynch a miller because he can't be bothered to claim. Why are you not worried about this scenario?
Anyone wolf reading me should have their brain checked. I say that knowing full well how bad it looks, but it does. Like, if I am a wolf, start ******* posting or doing more because I deserve this win.
Or, I am town trying to salvage a win after getting ***** town after ***** town on MU for the last month, and sick of following other people. Go with whichever is more likely
Like, Riku is bothering me more than ******* anything. His post was so bad, it actually looked town because of how bad it was. Maybe paranoid me thinks it was him just trying to anti-spew, but then he disappears and does absolutely nothing. He might be town, but he is doing 0 hunting, and whether I succeed and getting a wolf today or not, I doubt the slot going into tomorrow.
If it was a doctor role in question and not a miller, I'd say you are right. But going into dipole to fish out a miller? If I were scum, I wouldn't do that. Ehhhh. /mechanics but. If he's a wolf, magic bagging does nothing for him (well, without my defense here I guess, so lolme maybe?). He hardclaims miller to draw the counterclaim if he actually thinks he's going down. Softing miller doesn't really, like, help him as a wolf.
@Terry: I'd still like your GJ read. You seemed to agree with him pretty hard on Ruma and now you're, like, trying to fit him on wolf teams and stuff. Could you walk me through the thought process there?

I kind of want to lynch Riki for the first sentence in his entire *****y post.
Yeah that’s a pretty scummy opening. “You all are scummy, lynch pool INFINITE!!!!”
I’m giving Silver a day or so then I’m moving my vote back if I’m not impressed. Abu slot was icky
The hyperbole at the beginning is like, pretty weird, and the only way I can really read it is as agreement with him, but if it was just lukewarm agreement I wouldn't really expect... this? And then the second half is like. What about Abu was icky? You just throw it out there like its a threat or something. And right after GJ delivered a similar threat. Lol.
I originally wanted to believe GJ was town because of his effort, but things kept pinging me, like his need to be team leader, his push for Vaimes who I still think is town, the Riku wagon, etc. Then I tried to think about who he could be partners with and none of it really lined up. I guess this is, like, approximately fine. Just going to file that post under "If Terry is a wolf, GJ is town because pocketing/echo" and move on to other players. I'd lynch Terry if it looked viable but, it doesn't really at the moment.
Vote: Terry just in case, though.
Next time, I iso Meteor. Think I'm just, not lynching Vaimes or GJ toDay, which gives me a pretty small pool of wolves, but they probably aren't wolves together so that leaves minimum 1 in [Terry / Tiger / Meteor]? That's probably a fine pool for D1.
M@Silver You seem confident that Riku isn't mafia, then put him at L-1. If he is the miller then the mafia knows it by now anyway, At least let have this knowledge as town. IMO he is just as likely to be mafia that saves himself by scaring town into thinking they are gonna lynch a miller because he can't be bothered to claim. Why are you not worried about this scenario?
I mean, right now there's still wine / chance that he isn't, and if someone else is the miller they should CC his soft so we can just lynch him. Is where I'm at, essentially. If a bunch of people still want him to claim I'm not super opposed to putting him at L-1, I just don't think there's much of a point when the reason he isn't being lynched right now is because he softed miller and the real miller could CC him to ensure a wolf lynch.
Paranoia is usually a town trait; what would a wolf have to be paranoid about, exactly? They already know who the wolves are, town doesn't know who they can and can't trust.
But I guess I know Abu was town, so maybe I'm biased.

Dude, people mentioned his name and he was like "Everyone's suspicious of me!"
I mean, I can't speak to his perception, but again, I tend to think of paranoia as a town trait. Maybe that's what seems so weird about your posts, I don't really see any paranoia, it's like you're just... here. Reacting to things and pushing wagons and agreeing with people.

Meh.
Which wagons am I pushing!? Who am I agreeing with!? I feel like you are just making up stuff to push this weak case on me.
Terry, my biggest issue with you is that Vaimes is your biggest town read. Your other posts have some pros and cons. I can see why people might town read vaimes, but I can't see why he would be your "top town" read.

I mean, you pushed Abu and Ruma and then the hyperbolic "Ruma so scummy, Abu needs to post" thing felt like an echo of GJ. You know, that stuff I was literally just talking about?

I haven't really pushed Ruma, I did express some issues, but I didn't "push". I've been on Abu, you got me.
Speaking of which, I'm taking a break and going to ISO Abu/silver and Ruma.

He just feels town to me and we have mind melded on several issues. Like several times I was just about to post something and Vaimes comes in and posts it before me. That makes me pretty confident he's town.

#1: Dumb post
#2: Name two other players plan
#3: Finding meta links
#4: Meta Links
#5: Calls meteor scum
#6: Defends his plan from Meteor as some sort of grouping logic, sounds shaky
#7: Retroactive VLA
#8: This is really the only post that has any analyzability besides maybe his "plan"
It basically starts off shading every player in the game. The next sentence says "I'm not going to interact with any of you because I think you could be scum."
The next section of this post is addressing Tiger's #118, because Ruma thinks he COULD be scum. Just the wording there feels fabricated. Not I think he's acting scummy, just "well this is someone I could push as scum". His first excerpt basically foo foos Tiger's behavior; read on GJ for trying to take the Team Leader spot. He then implies, without actually saying it that Tiger knows Abu will flip scum. Then he talks about Vaimes' response to pressure and basically fences it. Now that I look at this post in detail, it's all fencey and deflective questioning (well particularly pertaining to his analysis of Tiger's #118). He does spend a little bit of time addressing GJ #119, which is more fence-sitting. He also addresses how Vaimes seems like Coasting Scum in post #127, which basically called Abu and Ruma the scum team.
I don't know... if I didn't have this nagging feeling that Ruma is the Miller, I'd be all about lynching him.
I think I have reasons for townreading uh. Everyone. Might be confbiasing on Meteor but that’s where I want to go. I don’t think other people will vote him (yet!), so I’ll move my vote and ISO him on...Monday. Maybe Sunday night.
If anything, I think that’s a scummy narrative to push coming from a player who knows better and you should be eaten by maggots for your insolence.

Also I am literally not paying attention to the postcount. I don't think volume-clearing would apply in a micro.
I'm back to liking JT again. Like he's probably my top townread du jour.
Glad to see all the riveting conversation has been had.
The GJ way path to no lynching:
The GJ way path to no lynching:
I originally wanted to believe GJ was town because of his effort, but things kept pinging me, like his need to be team leader, his push for Vaimes who I still think is town, the Riku wagon, etc. Then I tried to think about who he could be partners with and none of it really lined up. Granted (as I stated in my last post), this is under the assumption that bussing Day 1 seems pretty dumb for scum. Yeah, I get it, bussing is a thing, but if I were scum in this game I would want to push two mislynches and be done with it instead of pussyfooting around with bussing.

The GJ way path to no lynching:
@Vaimes Why JT is your top town read?
@Silver You seem confident that Riku isn't mafia, then put him at L-1. If he is the miller then the mafia knows it by now anyway, At least let have this knowledge as town. IMO he is just as likely to be mafia that saves himself by scaring town into thinking they are gonna lynch a miller because he can't be bothered to claim. Why are you not worried about this scenario?
Or, I am town trying to salvage a win after getting ***** town after ***** town on MU for the last month, and sick of following other people. Go with whichever is more likely

The GJ way path to no lynching:
Mmm. How would you characterize this post?
The hyperbole at the beginning is like, pretty weird, and the only way I can really read it is as agreement with him, but if it was just lukewarm agreement I wouldn't really expect... this? And then the second half is like. What about Abu was icky? You just throw it out there like its a threat or something. And right after GJ delivered a similar threat. Lol.
But I guess I know Abu was town, so maybe I'm biased.
#feelsbad I just need to take a break and let you fine fellows talk it out.
Agree with Silver on paranoia though.
The GJ way path to no lynching:
Meh.
I made my view of Riku pretty clear.
Silver is trending slightly upward, but still wolf equity.
Meteor of all people has been losing some credit with me.

The GJ way path to no lynching:
Speaking of which, I'm taking a break and going to ISO Abu/silver and Ruma.
Two examples of this?
The GJ way path to no lynching:
I just read Ruma/Riku's ISO... it's 8 posts...
#1: Dumb post
#2: Name two other players plan
#3: Finding meta links
#4: Meta Links
#5: Calls meteor scum
#6: Defends his plan from Meteor as some sort of grouping logic, sounds shaky
#7: Retroactive VLA
#8: This is really the only post that has any analyzability besides maybe his "plan"
So let's look more deeply into post #131.
Meteor, I liked JT’s big post.
GJ, sorry MU town is bad, but take a chill pill.
I think I have reasons for townreading uh. Everyone. Might be confbiasing on Meteor but that’s where I want to go. I don’t think other people will vote him (yet!), so I’ll move my vote and ISO him on...Monday. Maybe Sunday night.
Unvote, vote Silver
Unvote, vote Meteor
/distancing
Tiger/JT
Silver
Riku/GJ
Meteor
yeet
I highly doubt Riku is the Miller because he’d probably be super smug about it instead of softclaiming.
