I've been loosely following along, will dig into this with a re-read probably sometime this weekend.
Think it's super likely there's at least 1 wolf between Ara and Marko given I'm townreading people actually posting, and possibly even both, which... would make me pretty sad.
Don't have anything all that spicy, but don't really feel the need to, either. 2 week phases are marathons, not sprints.
Possibly the strangest thing to me is how many irrelevant questions have been asked, about food, and basically anything not related to mafia. I'll try and form words about why it feels off to me on the re-read, and pay more attention to who is asking those questions. Not sure it's alignment indicative or not, but it just was jarring to read, because it's..artificial content maybe?
Hum.
I dunno. Titus is also jarring, but I expected that coming into the game. It's mostly a strong difference in valuation on the importance of D1.
Still think Ara probably rolled wolf here. Massive disconnect between stated excitement and hype and the excitement and hype they've put into playing the game. There was game related discussion/content going on at the time they made that post, I just really struggle to see them not digging in and engaging a bit rather than making a functionally throwaway post and dipping, if they really were excited to play.
It's just really jarring.
Think I started the not real question trend. Part of it was that I thought a lot of the early questions were bad and part of it was because I was bored and trolling.
wrt Ara she actually enjoys playing as mafia, might even prefer it. Definitely says she prefers it but I think some "level of engagement" things (I'm actually sick of saying this phrase) point to her enjoying being a villager a little more. I have a lot of dueling wifomy thoughts with their absence for both alignments and it's all baked in stupid outside of game things or incredibly egotistical stuff. I know this is a completely empty thought/post but I needed to get at least a little bit of that off my chest cause it was bugging me.
I had some mild titus pings that I've been shoving under the carpet since the rest of their stuff is /fine. Mostly it's been how accommodating they've been, which feels bad to say and it's welcome enough that I'd rather reward the behavior than actively push against it for now in italics. Something about the lightheartedness vibe I was getting from them around the time they were "worried" about town not coming together and building wagons felt odd. But also don't think I would be able to have a firm on titus in any day 1 scenario barring some incredibly villagery or scummy play. Like I've only really said "negative" things in this but I'm gun-to-head villager on them.
@Osie can you give me your self meta though, would like that to be a question that wasn't ignored or put off much since I think with your playstyle it would fairly useful.
beep boop boop beep boop boop thread monitor has spoken! Jig is up, no more food talk, mafia is srz bnz!
I was going to give a frownie face to voxxicus for using the artifical content phrase, but then I just relooked at his post and he has a maybe after it, which looks like he can't exactly vocalize why it bugged him, so never mind there.
I super skimmed before going to breakfast just to get a glimpse of what was going on and if markoraj (boo) or ara (yay) had posted. I haven't really been in the mood to play mafia the past couple days, but I finally got a good night sleep last night and feel mentally awake, so I think I have about three pages to catch up from the last time I was paying attention to anything other than my name. Gonna do a real life stuff/mafia trade off today, so I'll be catching up in little bursts.
Anyway, it's a bummer to hear that markoraj has become low activity as town because although my meta on markoraj as scum is pretty old I remembered him being very low engagement, and yesterday I looked back at our last game together where he was active and kinda cranky and I thought that was gonna be a super gimme read.
I also looked at ara's champs game to get a sense of what voxxicus was expecting from ara, and I can understand Voxx's reaction there. I only read the first like 10 posts though because his beginning was all I cared about, but Ara now that you are around, why aren't you interacting with anyone?
~ Tammy's response on Voxx's vote on me is a very neutral response, one which I'd want to say is too neutral; however, I think they said earlier that this sort of stuff is their playstyle on day 1 or something? In which case, merely noted!!!
It probably was neutral. My only thought on the vote itself was that's a reasonable vote with reasoning I don't hate. I'm more interested in other people and something else with regards to the vote that I was hoping would have played itself out by now. It might have been rendered moot by this point, still trying to work that out, and I'm waiting on one other thing to see if what I thought I saw has any merit at all.
Unvote, keeping you low in the list, but other people are lower.
Vote: Grape
In addition to your bad argument on RE, I really don't like that you're trying to quibble with my wording to make a push on me.
puzzling
bad argument on RE? walk me through this. like you mean when i was like not super crazy about voting there or when i voted there in the first place? like i never really made a stance on him that was clear (i think he's pretty obviously town now for extremely clear and dynamic trajectory and scumhunting, if i need to elaborate on why i could but im also about to check out so it wont be instantaneous) so
also i have zero clue where wording is tying in here im mostly looking at what you're pushing and how. if i tried to read you through tone i'd get false positives super frequently and i can just tell through playstyle and the way you type. empoof mentioned this too and im just saying that I see you + i'm kin with you
@Osie can you give me your self meta though, would like that to be a question that wasn't ignored or put off much since I think with your playstyle it would fairly useful.
Uhh...
I'm town trying to sort everyone else and then solve the game, every game. I post whatever comes to mind. At this point, I've started regularly posting or at least noting down reads early and throughout mostly to keep notes for myself, especially when in multiple games like at this time. People here regularly think of me as flailing. People on MAL seem to think that I'm a setup guru. I've only rolled scum twice, not counting live mafia games on Discord, and both of those games were strange. One was Two Takes It here, which I won for scum by matching my town meta as intended. The other was a Call of Duty game on MyAnimeList, which I hammed up like crazy due to accounting for a scumbuddy who flailed into claiming masons with my slot, then I lost due to the mod not understanding how gladiators are supposed to work and letting someone change their publicly chosen gladiator target via PM. Oh, and everyone being a decent person is pretty important to me. Too many games devolve into flaming. Also, I hate meta-based reads. I do recognize that reading people you know is easier, but the concept of meta itself is too filled with wine to be particularly useful. So while personality-based reads can be a thing, I spurn meta itself.
ScarletCelestial, you have implied I caught you in your prior games, wanted me to focus more on my past with Tammy, and simlutaneously implied my early wagon study (too early to be vca) is not helpful. I feel like you aren't actually sorting me but setting it up to where if I make a mistake that you'll try to argue my posting is worthless.
- I believe you're a very good player, hence why I bought it up and also because I think you're a player who can read me well. Sadly due to Unforgiving I realise I can't do the opposite
- I want to know the reason as to why you think wagon formation is useful at this point: I feel you think there is a reason and if there is I want to know it, more out of curiosity than anything else
- If it feels as if I am ignoring you, I'm sorry but I've been focusing more on Tammy (of whom I haven't played with but have been warned about their scum game) and osie (who posted a readlist which I wasn't understanding too well and felt was off)

"Is it possible to be tsundere towards friends and family?"
Problems with this vote count? PM me or DM me on Discord for the fastest response. Posting something in-thread will probably get my attention eventually.
I'm currently gut reading ScarletCelestial as scum.
The imbalance between questions and comments on the game feels bad. There's enough in the game right now to comment on. And her questions directed at Tammy feel unwarranted (I don't see how they'd help figure out Tammy's alignment).
Have you played with her before? Her scumhunting style is kind of awkward and confusing the first time you play with her, especially when she's town ("scum is giving people what they want" rings VERY true in her playstyle, as town she's known as the moon queen to the point where her seeming logical is a scumtell. i wouldn't say that's accurate entirely but there are people who stand by that)
I know you're referring to ScarletRage here and it used to be a very very useful tell actually. She then started adding moonbeams to her scum play and now the issue is confused. I've seen her be logical as town too though sometimes it's logic I don't understand or agree with. I just always wish gorkington was in a game with me when playing with Titus because he's the player I've seen just get her the best - that might be outdated. I'm working on a theory for how best to read Titus; it's really incomplete but I think it might be less about titus than about the game and its flow. Does that make sense?
Did you ever answer that question I asked you to elaborate on about your Voxxicus post earlier?
- If it feels as if I am ignoring you, I'm sorry but I've been focusing more on Tammy (of whom I haven't played with but have been warned about their scum game)
Two reactions to this:
Really? Anytime I hear this I feel a mixture of huh and really? I feel like I have one of the worst scum games out there, so it's nice to hear when someone doesn't think it's trash.
And by whom? I don't know anyone on your team. And considering that this wasn't something brought up at first, so something like this should come from your team, but I don't know anyone on your team or been scum against anyone on your team, so this is actually making me give you side eyes.
@Osie
By any chance, when you were talking about Scarlet suspecting you every game you're in, did you mean me? Because if you've only rolled scum twice, I'm thinking the game (on discord, no?) where you converted "Scarlet" was actually the one where you converted me...
And I don't really suspect you every game, I just happened to be very right when you rolled scum ^^
i like the grape wagon's composition but im not really hot on it as a push. like i really felt like some of the ways he's talked about me (above and previous post for example) are bizarre but nothing out of the realm for town to feel. i especially feel like there's only one scum in grape/osie since i think the way osie is interacting with them is way too inconsistent to be from a partner (namely plus oneing them on me and then turning against them).
titus/empoof/RE, do you guys feel like I'm in the wrong in thinking that how he's adjusting the strength of his read on me is not really town indicative? if i need to be more specific i'll try
I have Grape as a wolf because it does not feel like he's actually read what I've posted yet he's pushing me strongly. I do have some paranoia that him saying something along the lines of "you're not really scumreading ScarletC if you're not voting her" is TWTBAW and it's coming from town in a death tunnel, but just because town can be unreasonable doesn't mean scum won't either.
I haven't examined how Osie is reading you closely yet, but from what I remember, I didn't like him calling you out for posting style (but I think he may have acknowledged the flaw in that already).

When the point of no return appears, it is already behind you.
RE has been fluffy in general (which with this playerbase I guess is to be expected), but I don't get any productive vibes from her at all. Her claims that SCelestial's questions are bad/no effort but not really scum reading SCelestial is basically an umbrella and this answer is gross. Just has zero interest in scum hunting and is pretty much saying "I want to leave my vote somewhere easy."
As for Tubba I don't buy that at all. He made one post when you made that read and it was pure role play. This is a really reductive version of the read Voxx made on Ara (which I'm still not sure I'm comfortable with) but worse because his only post was 29 and didn't attempt to engage with the game at all. Just flavor gaming and checking out. If 3 days from now Tubba hasn't done anything I'd be comfortable starting to call him disengaged but this is way too early to have made that call and dropped a scum read for that.
Then we agree to disagree, because I found what Vox pointed out wrt Ara was fair. I've been in an abundance of games where that's exactly how scum post. I see no issue in calling it out early. If I'm wrong, then it'd be quite obvious I'm wrong when Tubba starts to make game-related posts, and no harm is done. If I'm right, even better.
I feel like you may be making a mistake here by holding the same certain metric standards to different players (though I think I am guilty of the same thing this game and am trying to prevent). I feel like you're trying to call RE's push on me "easy" when it's probably not - I'm simply not playing as to how they have seen me play before. (Though I would like to know how my questions are comparing to prior games we have had).
How they commented on the questions I have posed is how I'd expect them to comment on it, which may not be to the standards osie holds themselves but is still valid to them. (Though I do prefer what osie's level of detail has suggested, since I know I can be a bit superficial early on if I have no clue where to begin and their noticing of my lack of motivation is also very well noticed.)
Personally, I think it's to do with differences between sites. Myself and RE play on MAL which has explanations that go into much less analytical depth than what it seems to be here.
The issue is that you're considering that RE isn't scumreading me when in reality they have said multiple times that I am the worst player right now in their opinion. The fluff from the Empoof conversation is probably also par of the course of trying to question him this game based on how he's been acting. (He feels more like Mantichors than Empoof and it's making me feel weird.)
You're saying that they're not trying to scumhunt as well - despite trying to engage in conversation with Empoof and already has a valid measuring stick as to how I play (seeing as we have been in many games together). I think I'd like her to ask me more questions but I don't think your read of it is correct.
And finally: I feel like I could have explained that in a sentence rather than a wall but meh.

I don't really understand this. Posting and leaving without engaging with the thread is not being engaged with the thread though. And it's a really standard early game thing that people pick up on, so I don't really understand why it got your notice to this extent. (Unless I'm wrong, this is a major part of why you're voting and scum reading her.)
And you yourself even called out tubba in your first post.
Also, to add to my last post although I think osie's explanation for what my behaviour likely is is good, I'm still mildly disconcerted with how they can comment on something that doesn't exist and I want to know how that got misconstrued.

I missed your Empoof vote... But yeah saying "I'm currently gut reading ScarletCelestial as scum." and then never voting them isn't really scum reading them.
Yeah, that's exactly why Osie has only 1 vote right now despite you, Scarlet, and Tubba showing suspicion of him
If I sound very abrasive now, let me know and I'll stop. I'm actually having the time of my life.
I'm only not voting osie because I want to see their reply to what I said first.

Quite the opposite
As I've said, questions are often a front for scum to appear active. Compared to other games, I think you're asking a lot of them at once, to the point where I'm not sure how effective the answers will be when given (especially since I'm not sure where you stand on the players you've questioned, except for me, and it was only one question you asked!) As a result, they come off as for show.
Also, I have asked you a couple questions you've yet to answer ~.~

To be fair, according to Troba, that could be a personality thing, but I also don't trust Troba right now, and I think that relying on someone else's description of meta here instead of actually thinking about Scarlet's posts isn't fair.
if you really want me to i could like dissect what i like about scarlet's posts in a more logos-sense but it feels like a waste because 1. i don't find any of it objectionable which is why i've kind of have just let her be, 2. her first post was pretty townie even without meta context behind it, 3. i think most of people's concerns with like her questions are more symptomatic of her being newish (~1 year or less of mafia experience? i've been hilariously wrong about this before lmfao but thats just what i'm sensing) and havent really spoken up about it because no one is really pushing her for a lynch. interrupting people's pressure is kind of dumb to do and they'll see through her towniness more than likely
1. OK then, but is any of it very good?
2. How is it Townie without the meta?
3. o.O you're good. I've only been playing since the end of October (though I've played more than 30 games in this time and I did get put down as the sub for MAL at Champs...).
Concerning what I bolded RE is scumreading me but that's probably not what you meant?

I also think Grape's case on me has a sprinkle of TMI to it and might suggest I'm very off in who I've suspected.
Can you elaborate on your observations? What is the hypothetical TMI?
Well, breaking down his case, I'm scum because:
>My read on Tubba is bad and it's just an easy place to keep my vote parked [False, I was voting Poofme]
>My attack on Scarlet but not voting her is an umbrella [Honestly, what does that even mean? I clearly addressed each one of her questions towards Osie and why I labeled most of them as "artificial"]
>I'm not being productive [I have townreads on Tammy and you to an extent. I've been pushing my scumreads, Scarlet and Poofme, for some time now. I've also questioned Trob, who was somewhat a gut town lean, but still has done questionable things I want addressed.]
He's focused strongly on my scumreads to case me. The not-being-productive part strongly relies on me being incorrect on my read and vote against Scarlet and Tubba (strangely enough he's attacked me more so for my read on Scarlet and less on Poofme).
Him calling out my criticism of Scarlet's questions as an "umbrella" is funny because labeling me as unproductive does the same exact thing. It's also funny he's using my vote placement as a reason to scumread me I think it may actually be less than half the player base is voting a player they actually suspect.
Of course, I may be reading too much into things. Grape being scum does not make Scarlet or Tubba town. I may be off on Grape and he's just experiencing a disconnect in style while scumreading me (not terribly likely considering I've played with him several times before).
Possibly, but I have been watching with a more critical lens and reached a different conclusion (not saying yours is incorrect). Expressing scumreads usually is productive. Scarlet expressed similar hostility to me keeping my vote on MarkoRaj. I am currently floating a Scarlet Raj Grape theroem in my head but I am not sure if accurate or not.
Titus, I'd give the exact same reaction if you were voting Ara - voting 0 posters does not apply any pressure to the player. It may put pressure on the scum team if they happen to be scum, but in my experience it doesn't, but that may not be the case in a time scale like this so I'm not completely sure.
I just don't think there has been any votes on Ara, which with this game may be more odd as I'd expect people to try and place the same pressures on them.

"Is it possible to be tsundere towards friends and family?"
Okay so I sort of lost my stuff on page 4 while going through stuff and sort of peaced out for a few hours after that; I'm not really interacting with anyone because I feel like that would be sort of awkward when I don't really know what's current, you know? Anyway!
Just a note that my champs game was also a 12/12, where for the majority of the time I basically threadcamped and only left the thread for minor things like food and such; not a strategy which seems wise to employ here!!
Also I'm sort of confused on what you mean with regards to your vote response being a joke; you never voted in your response?
Are you talking to me?
I didn't notice it was a 12/12; the only champs game I even lightly kept tabs on this game was game 9 and that was only because Mexal comes from my homesite. And I only looked at it to see what Vox might be compared to and noticed that you were interacting pretty fluidly early game. We were pretty much just goofing off here in the early game, so I wondered if that was relevant.
My vote is on empoof for a joke. I replied about Voxxicus' vote that his reasoning was fine but I wasn't moving my vote because it was solid. That was the joke, but i wouldn't have followed Vox anyway because I don't really early game bandwagon so was also a joke, but one that I only get probably maybe.
I wish we could talk more about team thoughts because there's a question I want to ask.
did I misread or did you say that as scum you were universally townread except for the cop check on you which outed you as scum?
If that's the case why do you think you can't scum?
Oh no, I was town in that game. Recently ended. I mean the only player who threw shade in my direction was mafia who had been cop checked the night before.
It's not to say I've never been scumread for my posting style, but I think there was a misuse of that information to shade Osie especially since that's not why I posted the game.
Thank you. I was going through a mental mind**** trying to figure out what you getting universally town read as scum meant for you posting that game as evidence that your scum game sucked and would be useful in reading you.
I also liked that you picked up on the strangeness of Celestial's critique that implied that Osie should know that you get scumread as town. I'm not sure if it's alignment indicative, but it's something I'd made a mental note of and was filing away. As for your other criticism on Celestial, I understand where you're coming from, but a lot of times I think most early game questions are fine but I'm kinda working on a model of her as a player and HAH I was right that she's pretty new which I'll probably back up at some point by looking at a game or two to see if it means anything alignment-wise.
I have read 77 and 85: it seems most of your posts boil down to gut feelings and tone, but can you point out any posts and say what's actually Townie about them?
For what purpose do you think it best that you voted Marko?
first question is good conceptually but it's way too vague for me to answer? in 77 i point to a direct post so idk what you're lacking here, and the empoof part is fairly clearly discussing a conversation spanning multiple points with a memorable subject. 85 for vox i refer to a direct post, tubba had only one post at the time, grapefruit i think it's clear what I mean? I dont want to like rebuff you but this would be easier if you could point out specific ppl you'd like to explain my read on - I recognize it might be clear for me and not clear for you which is like 100% valid ^^;
The Marko vote was basically an RVS vote. Most of the people posting I felt were town, and people whom I saw scum motive for were awful votes because my concerns could easily be allayed by them just waiting and seeing where they were going next (if, for example, I had voted Voxx it would have been a waste because I really liked their followup to their Ara scumread). As a result I went for the biggest wagon with a townread voting on it, which I think at that time was just 1 vote from Empoof? Plus it just worked out right since I didn't really want to vote anyone else.
~~
Speaking of the above, Tubba's kind of tough for me to place rn. Imo there's zero shame in getting your hands dirty, so I'd like to see you follow up on literally anything you see amiss! There's zero harm done in voting incorrectly, since we still have like a week or so to figure things out. There's a saying here I'm missing but it's better to like actually try rather than just be passive, yeah?
~~
also next time i fall behind would you guys rather i try to put everything together in 1 post? im like cringing as im posting this long-ass stream but it's also easier for me to do bc it's like 2 am and im scared of crashing mid-post and I know DAMn well that if i don't push myself to get in at least 1 (one) complete post that I'll just lose my flow with the game and flake out so
rock and a hard place etc. i think im at like 10 consecutive posts though :/
Since I asked about myself in a prior post just refer to that, but RE and Titus(?) I think were the ones who mainly seemed to be gut reads. You mainly just said in a roundabout way that it was all tone and gut. It just feels like it's avoiding something.
Concerning the vote, meh. I just don't think Marko/Ara votes are helping anything. Would've been worse if it were for pressure. Pressure votes on 0ers contribute nothing and allow scum to not place their vote somewhere revealing.
Long ass stream works if it works for you - don't compromise on your posting style if it's easier.

Butter new to me other cooking on it. Dunno why I haven’t done that yet
Butter's mostly for cooking on, but it certainly mixes in once it's a bit melted.
Please tell me you gave me a slight town read for the food conversation? I have been read by food preference type stuff in like three years.
the underlined just feels like a ballsy thing for someone who doesnt really like to be scum to write i guess, writing that out it feels more like a post-hoc justification but i've always just vibed with it since first seeing it. it just feels town
I feel like Osie's entrance was built to throw shade and doesn't feel solvey in the way I'm used to seeing. They also seemed a little too rattled by being lumped in as low posting possible scum.
In regards to the entrance, I did feel that I had less to work with than usual and I was kinda grasping at straws. In regards to being rattled, I was a little thrown by it, but that's more that I am in fact juggling way too many things at once. But now that this game has gotten started, should be more business as usual, especially since one of my other games is ending soon.
Wouldn't it have been better just to comment on what you could comment on rather than 'grasp at straws'?

When the point of no return appears, it is already behind you.
Hi guys, really sorry I haven't engaged here outside of my first post in the game, have been fairly busy with stuff outside the game and unintentionally spread myself a bit thin (haven't checked back here since page 2... oops), even though I know that's not a good excuse, but never mind that; I'm here and I'm !!!!!!! to get back in this game!!!
I was going to catch up entirely and then post, but saw that there were 7 pages so figured I'd start doing catchup thoughts first!! Also with having parsed stuff in my team chat, I can stick a tentative townlean off of Trob's(?) beginning posts; it seemed freeflowy in a way that I don't think mafia tend to veer toward doing right off the bat of a game - seemed quite eager to start solving! Not mentioning other people yet because they weren't as noticeable/negligible reads; will update as I continue reading, but I'll keep a tab open here for if anyone wants to converse in real time!!!
Also I see there's stuff on this page regarding me, so addressing that: I absolutely do enjoy playing as mafia, and more than I do as town - though I also do enjoy playing as town, don't get me wrong!!! I simply enjoy both alignments (not counting 3p because I haven't randed that in forum mafia yet) a lot because both are hype!! So, um... actually rereading Voxx/Empoof's stuff about me, I'm not really sure what the point of this was? I would say that my absence for the past few days has been non-alignment-indicative because I'd end up doing it either way, but I don't particularly expect you to trust me on that, and I don't think it matters much anyway because I promise I'll be more active going forward!!!!!
Um... I think I can somewhat vouch for this since a part of it is likely why I'm not playing as much as I'd like. So I agree with her in saying it's completely NAI.

I agree with RE, I have never been a game where I was converted by Osie. I did catch them in Call of Duty though and my impression from that is that they are very smooth as scum (they were Townread by everyone bar me early on into their subbing despite all the mechanical issues) so I think their game is pretty good based off that.

Concerning this, I think you're mistaken in the context of which I said it. To me, she was comparing experiences she's had with you before to the experience she's having with you now, which may be somewhat easier to try and place into words in her first sentence so I thought she could at least address that. On top of it, it seemed to me that they didn't want to talk to you about being scum, and I wanted to know if this would only be toward you as opposed to other people. I may not have said this as clearly as I wanted to.
To me it felt like you were trying to create friction and possibly fan the flames of a potentially negative situation. Could be that I'm feeling particularly sensitive about it because it has to do with me and partly because I think the correct move is to not poke at things like that and let them be. I don't really want you to respond to this because I don't want to talk about it, but I want you to know how I felt from your questions because that informs my response to you.
I have absolutely no idea how I'll respond to other people calling me scum. Throw a fit, ignore it, tell them their wrong, explain myself, OMGUS? Don't know, usually depends on my mood

Sorry yes, I was talking to you!!! It's not particularly relevant; like I said, I'd have been here if not for certain other things!!
Since we're talking, what are your current thoughts on Osieorb?
Keeping in mind the identities of my teammmates, I have a feeling I know what you want to ask, or something along the lines of it, anyway; um... not really sure how much I can say though? :/
I realized after that I got a notification that you replied.
Current thoughts on osieorb are that i want to wait awhile on making an osieorb thought. I have a partial team thought and will want more to help me there. I'm going to have a hard time with this read. I felt bad about replacing out of that game when I was one of the only ones/if not the only one that thought she was town. I know that's really super silly, but when I do something like that or mislynch someone for something stupid or that I regret, I have a tendency to look at them favorably next time. It's a weakness, I know.
So, I'll definitely need more time here. I haven't seen anything that jumps out at me as overtly scummy though.
The only solid read right now that I'm comfortable with though is a town read on RE. I have other leans, but nothing I'm sold on yet.
Wouldn't it have been better just to comment on what you could comment on rather than 'grasp at straws'?
Osie should answer this, but I think grasping at straws isn't a bad thing early on. It's fun to overanalyze, and you can gauge reactions to your reads.
It's only problematic if the timer's running out and you're still grasping at straws.
You're kinda helping osie answer the question here...
but my take on it is that basing reads on fallacies early on and saying as such would only become confusing to people outside whoever posted it. Well, it at least confused me.

But I don't know either of them.
I'd ask what game, but um I have some quite *****y rants out there. I will say a couple things. My mood heavily influences my game, and there were a few years where real life was somewhat of a *****, and that would seep into my games. I think I am a pretty nice person, but I'm also an emotional person, and when I get pissed off my bite can be pretty horrific. I don't get really pissed off all that often though!

For what reasons do you think you misread Osieorb in the game that you mislynched them in? It's a fair thought to have, which I have occasionally after mislynching them... then often promptly forget and mislynch them again!!
Also, I'm sitting on a take which may or may not be hot (probably hot with wagons how they are now), meant to be released when certain conditions are met - just a general headsup!!!
No, I correctly read Osie as town in a game when everyone or almost everyone had her as scum. People were pretty abrasive in how they dealt with her that game iirc, like I want to say every single post she made was someone attacking how bad the post was. I replaced out, but afterwards I felt like crap because I was the only one who understood her mindset. I might not have been able to influence anything that game, but it's nice to have one person who has your back. I've just felt bad about that replace out ever since, and going from that game Osie is someone that people think is just generally scummy, which means I'm going to give her more room and feel out my read there.

4. Completely different things when it comes to Titus. I don't think anything can be accomplished from looking at wagons at search an early stage. Osie is criticising what I think is an RVS vote.
Why do you keep saying it's an RVS vote when Titus said let's get out of rvs?

Of course, there'll be exceptions. Like, "Why didn't you keep your vote on xxx, your top scumread, EoD???"
But it'll rub me the wrong way when there's association between difference in playstyle, or even a player's imperfection, and scumminess.

Did you ever answer that question I asked you to elaborate on about your Voxxicus post earlier?
I have always said don't believe in the moonbeams suggestion. The more moonlogical I sound, the less toen is doing what I feel is optimal to do. Read me by what I want to do...not what I say I want to do.
Uh I was gonna try to power through and make it to the end of page five but I'm now reading just to read instead of actually read, so I'm gonna backtrack to post 225 and pick up there later. Need to do some other stuff for a minute.
Again the only real read I have right now is a town read on RE. I've liked her from her early posting and haven't seen anything to change my mind. I also have a team thumbs up here. One thing I don't understand is SC's post on Osie about her thinking it was bizarre for her to open the game posting her scum game because it was. I don't know if I'd categorize it as bizarre, but the reason I spent any time at all on RE in the beginning of the game was because it was pretty unusual.
I'm of several minds on SC. I do agree with Trob that that early post where she says "now that I've made myself out to be a good NK" sounded pretty good. But there is something to be said about RE's concern about her questions. It feels like in some cases, she's reading posts so that she can find a question to ask rather than to understand, and that concerns me. I want to look back and look at who she's asked questions to as well because it did kinda stick out that she just brushed over Titus' markoraj vote not being RVS because from the range of questions she's been asking that seems like something she should have asked about. My other mind is the model of a type of player she might be and in part that comes from her relative newness. Like in some instances she feels like she's going through the game telling people how or how they shouldn't get reads. I'm thinking of her warning me of giving a light town read on Voxx for questioning the town reads on him for instance. So is she a) scum who's trying to tear down town reads, look busy, or do a little distancing? or b) town who is rather new, the kind that is paranoid and shoots down town reads on people because THEY CAN DO THAT AS SCUM TOO YOU KNOW, in this vein she reminds me a little of myself who as newbtown tried to school whiskeyjack one game on what he should and should not be clearing people on. I'll probably have to do a little meta here to work out my model.
I want empoof to be town because I just like empoof's posting. Also he called me town.
Ara talked about liking Titus's reaction to Voxx's vote and heh that's something that I was looking at and waiting on to see how I felt about the whole situation. Not ara's response, but the reaction in general. My meta might be a bit outdated, but Titus at least used to be rather protective of her scum team. I know she started to distance at some point, but Titus was voting markoraj who was a zero poster who's alignment is just who knows. And when Voxxicus voted Ara she attacked the vote and reasoning. If marko was town, and Ara was scum, that reaction to Voxx's vote on Ara is the exact type of response I'd expect from Titus is Ara was her partner. I was hoping that markoraj would start posting as I thought I'd have a gimme read there, and hoped that ara would post and have a response that would be telling, but instead Titus looked at the wagons and voted on Ara too, which means all of that is probably nothing, but I do want this out there in the case any of the three flip scum. I'm not sure if it would mean anything, but it might mean something if coupled with strangeness later on.
I liked trob's posting earlier. I have some thoughts I might or might not bring up later. I want to look at a game or two of theirs. I do understand osie's comment on writing style because the meaning is sometimes hard to parse but could just be the way she writes.
I am a bit concerned about grapefruit here, but I'm reserving any thoughts until I catch up because I know there's a wagon on him and I'm interested in the reaction and people's reasons and because I need to step away now.

wrt Ara she actually enjoys playing as mafia, might even prefer it.
It probably was neutral. My only thought on the vote itself was that's a reasonable vote with reasoning I don't hate. I'm more interested in other people and something else with regards to the vote that I was hoping would have played itself out by now. It might have been rendered moot by this point, still trying to work that out, and I'm waiting on one other thing to see if what I thought I saw has any merit at all.
That was in regards to Grape, not you.
- If it feels as if I am ignoring you, I'm sorry but I've been focusing more on Tammy (of whom I haven't played with but have been warned about their scum game) and osie (who posted a readlist which I wasn't understanding too well and felt was off)
Foopme (1): Tammy
Arapocalypse (1): Voxxicus
osieorb18 (1): Trobairitz
RE1031 (1): Grapefruit21
Not Voting (4): Tubba Fett, Arapocalypse, ScarletCelestial, MarkoRaj
With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

I know you're referring to ScarletRage here and it used to be a very very useful tell actually. She then started adding moonbeams to her scum play and now the issue is confused. Did you ever answer that question I asked you to elaborate on about your Voxxicus post earlier?
Also: minor. You and RE keep your tests and bedroom experiences to yourselves please.
I'm only not voting osie because I want to see their reply to what I said first.
Empoof, what are you trying to accomplish with all this fluff and not being helpful when questioned? I haven't seen you play like this before and as I might have said before it's making you sound like Manti and it's freaking me out.
Titus, I'd give the exact same reaction if you were voting Ara - voting 0 posters does not apply any pressure to the player. It may put pressure on the scum team if they happen to be scum, but in my experience it doesn't, but that may not be the case in a time scale like this so I'm not completely sure.
I just don't think there has been any votes on Ara, which with this game may be more odd as I'd expect people to try and place the same pressures on them.
Osie - you said this feels fence-sitty. how so?
Wouldn't it have been better just to comment on what you could comment on rather than 'grasp at straws'?
It's only problematic if the timer's running out and you're still grasping at straws.
What's a moonbeam?
To me it felt like you were trying to create friction and possibly fan the flames of a potentially negative situation. Could be that I'm feeling particularly sensitive about it because it has to do with me and partly because I think the correct move is to not poke at things like that and let them be. I don't really want you to respond to this because I don't want to talk about it, but I want you to know how I felt from your questions because that informs my response to you.
I have absolutely no idea how I'll respond to other people calling me scum. Throw a fit, ignore it, tell them their wrong, explain myself, OMGUS? Don't know, usually depends on my mood
Moonbeam logic is logic that doesn't make sense to anybody else.
Wisp and DV, and it was more that I got linked to a rant of yours from some postgame and it kinda scared me. You seem nicer than that rant suggested.
Sometimes I use logic that only makes sense to me.
I'm sorry... I looked back in the chat to see who posted it and it was actually a game for someone else and it's my mistake for remembering the names wrong and assuming it was you based off your post to Titus. My bad.
Well, it's fine if it's for a good reason I'm just saying I wouldn't do it.
Why do you keep saying it's an RVS vote when Titus said let's get out of rvs?
But it'll rub me the wrong way when there's association between difference in playstyle, or even a player's imperfection, and scumminess.
I have always said don't believe in the moonbeams suggestion. The more moonlogical I sound, the less toen is doing what I feel is optimal to do. Read me by what I want to do...not what I say I want to do.
@Scarlet, what is your Grape read?
