RE - How is posting her scumgame bizzare when in a number of games they have been scumread for their posting style? I reference my scum game for the convenienece of others too, simply because I have been told that I'm only ever really been Townread based on meta.
I've never seen or heard of someone just throwing it out there so early without prompting.
Grape - What about Grape's read on Trob specifically, that it is the same sort of read as yours or something about it's composition or tone?
Grape seemed to be noting nervousness and a fake tone. I was mostly noting the latter, with potential for the former. Though Grape has walked it back a bit saying it might be just a posting style, so I'm not certain.
Titus - How is an RVS on a 0-poster an issue at this stage?
This is wrong. Titus directly implied that it wasn't an RVS vote. "Let's get out of RVS." While I put lurkers low in my reads, I don't like going off of just Lynch All Lurkers, especially Day 1.
* The jump onto RE in response to your RVS on RE seemed like an attempt to ingratiate with you.
* I'm kinda tired of people excusing away their scumtells with "This is just posting style," which are what 9 and the odd repeat in 13 feel like.
* #53 feels intentionally fence-sitty
* #77 feels like it's a lot of rambling to say… "I feel like Scarlet is townie. My read is justified because she's no better than I am. I don't know how to read Empoof, but I think he's town too."
* 85 looks similar to 77 in terms of using lots of words to say very little.
* I don't like the vote in 87 at all.
* At times it looks like she's intentionally obfuscating her text with verbiage. Reminds me a bit of another much more frustrating player who was gimmicking a meaninglessly pompous character (for those who have played on MTGS in the past year or so).
talk to me about what you like about grapefruit's push?
also im not really sure what level of nuance you'd like out of page 3 posting...? lack of reasoning and opportunism seems like a really shallow way to view my posting lmfaooo
i do find some of the things you're listing as scummy as questionable in merit though, like i dont really think anything titus has done that you've listed is really that scummy for her? (her logic is kind of confusing for someone who's never played with her for example) as an example.
fwiw i'll try to write more coherently lmfao
I responded to Scarlet about my thoughts on Grape's push.
In regards to Titus, I don't know Titus' personality. But it's early anyways, and that's what I've seen so far. There's still a week and a half for reads to become more solid. (Though ideally it will happen sooner.)
{Tammy} - Strong town
{RE, Scarlet, Foop} - Town
{Grapefruit, Titus, Vox} - Leantown
{Markoj} - Empty slot
{Tubba/Ara/Osie} - Would vote in
Vote: Osieorb18
Their pushes don't really feel real to me, #128 was mostly what got me to vote. like that legitimately felt like a really weird deconstruction of what vox was pushing which feels pretty clear to me
That's just how I read Voxx's post, as I made clear. Just like I'm reading your post as an OMGUS vote with shoddy reasoning, as I'm making clear here.
I saw something that pinged me as scummy but it wasn't enough for me to actually go in on a RVS tell. And I know exactly what it is just not ready to share with the class yet.
Ready to share yet?

"Is it possible to be tsundere towards friends and family?"
Would you consider yourself a bit superfluous then? Also, it seems to me that you become aggressive in many situations (going by both the amount of situations you have described as well as certain sources of whom talked about it), so could be considered thus... also: do you tend to tunnel on people often or do you try to engage with many people without doing that?
But shouldn't you be trying to address Titus' concerns? I mean, if you don't then it's likely they'd be tunnelling you for quite a long time I believe, based on what I've seen of their own play. Also, wouldn't it be a good opportunity to try and converse with them? If not you alleged scuminess, then what do you think would be the best conversation you could have with them to determine their alignment?

I think your trying to draw water from a dry source in your third paragraph there. I think my original response was sufficient and I really don't need to go into more detail.
But thank you for the therapy sessions, what did you get out of your questions?
Superfluous means to write more than necessary without really adding to a point.
Really, I just want to see how you act without pressure and act normally as a baseline for further interaction later in the game. You seem like a very open person, and I'd expect that to carry throughout the game. For example, if you're happy to talk in large amounts about other things, I expect you to be able to do the same when being able to talk about content. An asymmetry in actions would be odd and probably AI.
Also, regarding your slight read of Voxx I wouldn't take any stock in that reasoning. Although it once was more helpful, it has been getting more prominently done by scum as they know it's an easily doable thing to look Townie.

"Is it possible to be tsundere towards friends and family?"
Considering 138, @Tammy I have a few questions for you based on it.
How are you reading what's been made by Titus thus far? Since you don't seem to like what they've been doing.
Based on your third paragraph, may I ask if you think you're an aggressive player?
Why won't you like to respond to anything about your possibility of being scum?
I'm in wait and see mode on Titus. I don't particularly like what they've said about me because it doesn't quite gel with our past experience.
No, I'm not an aggressive player unless I need to be, the game is going in a direction I don't like and I need to take over and lead, or there are no town leaders in the game and I need to step up, or I have a scum read I believe in. I think I'm an assertive but waffly player; I don't think I'm that aggressive as a matter of course.
I imagine I'll respond to anyone else, but I won't respond to titus calling me scum. I don't really like being called scum when I'm town and it can get a bit explosive between me and Titus. It's not productive, the game will suffer, and I'm most likely to end up replacing out which would suck on all accounts. I think the best approach is to take a bit of reasoned detachment where that is concerned. If that makes sense.
Doesn't gel? How so?
Would you consider yourself a bit superfluous then? Also, it seems to me that you become aggressive in many situations (going by both the amount of situations you have described as well as certain sources of whom talked about it), so could be considered thus... also: do you tend to tunnel on people often or do you try to engage with many people without doing that?

She can't yet. Gut is not an articulable thing she can talk about. I am not bothered by me being this way. Now, if it reaches d5 and Tammy is always against lynching scum, I would have specific questions. Gut reads are *****ty for this reason. They should get noted but pushing them means you can tell yourself something false because you want to be right.
Process is observe -> Test -> Conclude.
I'll discuss wagons 5 seconds in if they exist btw. I find relational reads more valuable than tone. But I feel a slight burden of proficiency coming from you. How good do you expect me to be?
Concerning this, I think you're mistaken in the context of which I said it. To me, she was comparing experiences she's had with you before to the experience she's having with you now, which may be somewhat easier to try and place into words in her first sentence so I thought she could at least address that. On top of it, it seemed to me that they didn't want to talk to you about being scum, and I wanted to know if this would only be toward you as opposed to other people. I may not have said this as clearly as I wanted to.

"Is it possible to be tsundere towards friends and family?"
I don't like Osie's read on Foopme nor his response to Vox's read on Ara... But it feels awkward enough for it to come from a town!Osie rather than a scum!Osie...
I also didn't see the contradiction in Scarlet Rage's read on Tammy. I read her enthusiasm as town, he read her enthusiasm as forced.
Concerning RE, I swear they have completely different goals as different alignments. As Town their questioning is much better and they sound much less like they're in commentary mode.
The phrasing of this is interesting. I mean, of course the goals are different, I want to kill town as scum, I want to kill scum as town.
How much of my scum meta are you familiar with? I don't think I've played as scum in any game with you before.
I want to say there's scum in Ara/Tubba/Osie/Marko. Otherwise it'd mean all the wolves are dominating the thread and I just find that a bit unlikely.
Sorry, I missed this before.
I mean, the goal it seems to me you have as scum is to just say enough to not be scumread and aim for a mislynch which results in much less analytical posting and much more surface level reads.
And I swear we played in one where this was the case on MAL. It was probably last year if I remember right, so this may be out of date.

RE - How is posting her scumgame bizzare when in a number of games they have been scumread for their posting style? I reference my scum game for the convenienece of others too, simply because I have been told that I'm only ever really been Townread based on meta.
Where are you getting "in a number of games they have been scumread for their posting style"? This is actually blatantly false. You should know this considering you just modded a game where I was universally townread aside from a cop checked scum.
Not to mention, I've twice explained why I posted my scum game. In the same post where I linked my latest scum game (actually the only scum game I CAN link...), I explained that my scum and town games are night and day. I didn't post it because my town game is scummy, I posted it because it's the opposite, that I honestly cannot scum.
Why are you assuming Osie knows that I have been scumread in a number of games for my posting style? This isn't a question, it's an accusation. Similar to your questions towards Tammy, you're questioning people for not following a strict order of operations in how to hunt for scum.
Tammy - What did you mindmeld on?
Fair question.
Empoof - Why is Empoof calling himself scum pinging you? Personally, I wouldn't take much stock in it at this point and it sounds more of a joke.
Don't really understand what this question is supposed to accomplish? Feels the same way with her question of my read on Tammy when I basically gave her the same answer I provided earlier.
Grape - What about Grape's read on Trob specifically, that it is the same sort of read as yours or something about it's composition or tone?
How would the answer to this question give insight to Osie's alignment?
Scarlet - Why do you think I'm lacking in energy?
Fair question.
Titus - How is an RVS on a 0-poster an issue at this stage?
Did you not share similar thoughts to Osie's when you asked Titus why she's concerned about wagons? Also, I'm going to attribute this to not paying attention, but asking this feels off when it was clearly not an RVS vote as his vote was accompanied by a "Let's move on from RVS" or something like that.
Trob - Opportunistic how?
Fair question.
This is also why I feel her questions are artificial. They are definitely thoughtful but I can't imagine the answers being very helpful.
The questions that are fair actually require 0 effort to ask.
1. I'm taking this from you, I looked at your early MU game where you did get scumread for it. It's pretty similar to me to be fair, I've heard people say I only get Townread early on because of my meta. Considering all the other stupid grammar and writing errors I have been making the past few days it probably only seems like one because me trying to phrase it as a question didn't happen for whatever reason. Probably doesn't help I was sheeping this point from the group without questioning him on it.
2. I feel there was something off about it, so I want more detail before I make any accusations concerning the Tubba/Grape thing.
3. The Empoof thing was a comment. This being something I don't think should be taken so seriously and yet osie is.
4. Completely different things when it comes to Titus. I don't think anything can be accomplished from looking at wagons at search an early stage. Osie is criticising what I think is an RVS vote.
Also, RE, most of my questions at the start of the game are to generate content to actually start basing reads off of later on in the phase and on later Days. Lies are hard to upkeep, and detail is something that would be harder to generate as scum and keep a track of. Making people do this early on will make it much harder for them to sound logical, reasonable and seriously helps in tracking progression.
To me, this is a time when I get first impressions and it's less of a serious time for me.

Unlike Scarlet, I'm more appalled by microwave bacon than by boiled bacon. Though boiled bacon does sound gross.
You are wrong about this. While microwave bacon is an affront to god, with the right vehicle it can be somewhat redeemed.
Think about the snotty, grisly, pus-like abomination that would be boiled bacon. No good can come of such a travesty.

The questions that are fair actually require 0 effort to ask.
Everything requires effort, but you're correct that these are on the lower end of the difficulty spectrum. Doesn't make them bad or unhelpful though.
The one to tammy and Osie are questions that came to my mind. And the one to Osie seems particularly helpful. It would seem hard to agree with my reads when I haven't explained anything yet.
@Osie so you thought Troba seemed nervous?
@SCelestial not yet. Maybe tomorrow.
Back to RE you seemed to miss the point of the question towards Titus, it's how is being a second vote on a slot that hasn't posted moving is out of RVS.
And I swear we played in one where this was the case on MAL. It was probably last year if I remember right, so this may be out of date.
I remember the games I've played in fairly well. There was a time when I was recruited as mafia and you were in the game, but you died early on and I was town during those phases. I've never played a game with you where I rolled scum, unless you include the discord Werewolves/Vampire/Town thing.
I see, the way you referred to my scum game, it seemed like you were speaking with first hand experience.
3. The Empoof thing was a comment. This being something I don't think should be taken so seriously and yet osie is.
4. Completely different things when it comes to Titus. I don't think anything can be accomplished from looking at wagons at search an early stage. Osie is criticising what I think is an RVS vote.

To me, this is a time when I get first impressions and it's less of a serious time for me.
3. That's one of the reasons I'm scumreading Foopme. It's overblown. Did you ignore that part?
4. This is the vote and post:
Why did you think it was an RVS vote? And even if it were, why would you disagree with the criticism? The vote occurred page 3 of the game, and we shouldn't be in RVS still.
So they are artificial regardless. I don't know how I didn't pick up on this in your previous town games, but it appears to be a difference in playstyle. Was there a reason you directed some of your in depth questions towards Tammy and SR?
Still need you to answer why you'd expect Osie to realize that it was reasonable for me to post my scum game.
And this as well:
It's the different point of view I liked, or rather than she didn't just dismiss my entrance as NAI. She went one step further by considering my experience as a factor.
And I definitely like her response to Vox's answer to her question regarding my entrance. I was fine with Vox' reply, but she brought up a point I didn't consider earlier.
^But this one did not?
What is actually different between the two answers? I felt like I was just giving a paraphrased version of my previous reason.
Back to RE you seemed to miss the point of the question towards Titus, it's how is being a second vote on a slot that hasn't posted moving is out of RVS.
I honestly fail to see how voting a zero poster gets us out of RVS? If he's town, it doesn't accomplish much. If he's scum, well, we'd be flipping a coin, so it's still fairly "random", no?
Is it within Marko's meta to just not post as scum as opposed to town? Or is everyone else varying degrees of townie/neutral that a zero poster would a preferable place to vote? Plz educate me
I asked the same thing earlier.
Did I miss the point? Because SC has continued to refer to the vote as RVS. I'm also not too clear you were actually saying there if you could rephrase...

@RE I'll reply to your big post after work when I have time to format. Don't have the energy to do it right now.
@Tammy you talked about it being mentally draining for you and people seemed to be clearing you on the energy and enthusiasm you're showing early. Do you agree with the people town reading you that this level of engagement from you should be clearing? I don't know your meta at all and understand the town leans but have a hard time grasping people meta clearing someone who is a good scum player off this. I get that this isn't really helpful for solving you but I want to know if these reads are TMI'ing.
Yes, I hate it and it’s mentally draining for me, but I do okay. I’m not nervous or scared scum; I think I suck at it but I probably think I’m worse at it than I am. The thing with me though is that I literally feel like I wear my alignment on my sleeve, so I try not to fake things like enthusiasm at the start of a game unless there is someone expecting something from me and I just hope they don’t notice how fake it is. I think there is a night and day energy from me between alignments, and there are some things I just cannot fake as scum no matter how hard I’ve tried. I do get written off as town early quite often for all those buzzwords you used, and it’s possible some are tmi, but except I the case of trob talking about a towntell I haven’t really concerned myself with it. It just feels normal; I’m sure I’ll look back and see how things fit together later, but I’m not worried about it now.
Now when I’m scum, I don’t typically get early town reads for any of the stuff people have said here because I just don’t feel this way as scum (except in certain instances like an alted theme I can roleplay, or drawing the mafia traitor that flips town which is hands down the most fun role to play, but these are outliers.). I tend to get more thoughts of like she’s there but not doing anything overtly scummy most of the time.
Did this make sense? I just woke up and I feel like that’s a groggy ramble.
Oh it’s a pretty common thing for people to read me early as fluffy or floaty but in a good way. I once got accurately scum read for not being floaty on day one..lol.
Last game we played Osie was scum read by almost everyone, and I had him as a town read and should have defended him more than I did, and then I replaced out.
Yeah, being scumread incorrectly as town by almost everyone based on tone is a large majority of games for me... Especially games with Scarlet, though to be fair, one game I played with her was one of the two scumgames I've ever been in (and a very frustrating game due to mod issues). Since I would have won that if the mod had correctly implemented the gladiator role, Scarlet now scumreads me in every game we're in, as far as I can tell. The one other time I was scum in a game with her, I thankfully had a recruiting role and used it on her at the earliest possible opportunity.
So because I took a while to join the thread due to IRL time constraints and playing in 4 games at once, I must be scum? Man, you really take Lynch all lurkers to an extreme...
I think you are being overly defensive? I didn't list you specifically as scum, but I think in that pool of players there is scum. It's an observation of the gamestate. If you didn't see my comment above, I actually found you slightly more townie than not.
Okay. It did seem like you were just saying "These lurkers are more likely to be scum."
Sheetpan, saute pan, custom toaster, or something else?
Unlike Scarlet, I'm more appalled by microwave bacon than by boiled bacon. Though boiled bacon does sound gross.
Sheet pan in the oven. Sauté pan probably makes the best tasting bacon, but I get overwhelmed and the splattering grease freaks me out. When I was little bacon grease splattered right next to my dads eye and burned it, and I’ve been a scaredy cat ever since.
Microwave bacon is not ideal I agree, but it’s quick and easy. And doesn’t usually taste half bad.

I’m wordy, yes. But none of it is unnecessary to me depending on the point. I have a tendency to write in a sort of stream of conscious way, and when I’m trying to work out my thoughts or read on a player I’m usually playing with several strings or thoughts. It’s annoying to get told you’re saying nothing or your words are unnecessary. It’s just how I think and work out my reads. It’s kinda roundabout at times, I agree, and sure I could put my editors hat on and pair it all down, but then a good bit of it gets lost.
Sometimes I’m more succinct because some things are more simple to figure out. I just always say if my ramble thoughts don’t help you read the game or my alignment, you can skip them if it’s annnoying to read.
That read on voxx wasn’t a blanket reasoning. It comes from how I think voxx, in particular, would react to early meaningless town reads on him under different alignments based on what I’ve seen in his town game (that’s minimal experience btw) and the way he’s talked about his scum game.
It’s a light read though and as with all my reads subject to change over the course of minutes the game.
And this hopefully concludes the self -absorbed portion of the morning
I like that Scarlet actually seems to be reading my posts, but at the same time, I kinda agree with RE on Scarlet's questions so far. I think I would say superficial rather than artificial, though. Like it's more looking at the surface of things and not considering the likely thoughts behind them, pretty much just saying "I don't want to think about these points myself, I want you to say them yourself."
To be fair, according to Troba, that could be a personality thing, but I also don't trust Troba right now, and I think that relying on someone else's description of meta here instead of actually thinking about Scarlet's posts isn't fair.
RE is pretty town here, though.
@Grapefruit: I played with Tammy before. I modded a game with Empoof in it. My Empoof read is much more mild and tonal. Tammy read is based on actually having a bit of an idea of how to read Tammy.
I kinda want to scumread Empoof because both people voting him seem very town. But that's not enough of a reason. I'll ISO Empoof at some point later today and see what comes of that.
Okay. It did seem like you were just saying "These lurkers are more likely to be scum."
Not exactly. I just think in a group of lurkers, there is bound to be scum. Maybe you didn't even qualify to be in that group since it appears you had a late start rather than were actually lurking.
I like that Scarlet actually seems to be reading my posts, but at the same time, I kinda agree with RE on Scarlet's questions so far. I think I would say superficial rather than artificial, though. That's where I'm with Scarlet currently. I'm like, "Wow, someone actually looked at the scum game I posted!" But I also think questions are often a front for scum to appear active.
That's why I'm not after Troba right now. It feels like a playstyle thing rather than actual scumminess. I've encountered players who type like that as town so I don't think it's all to make it difficult to get a read on them (granted, they're not the same players, but it's definitely a real trait). I'll take a look at their case on you though, I feel like they've moved their vote around somewhat, and if I find something AI, it'd be in the reasoning for the vote changes.

3: The thing is, I don't think he'd be so overblown early on about being scum with Marko. He has no reason to do it, and by doing it he's only looking scummy so it probably wouldn't be done purposefully.
4: I thought it was an RVS vote because it was on a zero poster, so it's my own mistake for not checking back to the vote itself.
It's also very reasonable for you to post your scum game because I do that a lot myself on MU. I felt like Osie's calling it bizarre when I find it absolutely normal. However, I realise due to their reply where they are probably coming from. Osie plays mainly here and MAL to my knowledge which are close communities that have no need for meta to be given so early on, compared to myself who plays mainly on MU which is much less close and I post my meta quickly all the time. I just thought it was something completely regular, and didn't consider his background.

"Is it possible to be tsundere towards friends and family?"
i admittedly was about to ask why RE wasn't voting with sc and me if they townread sc before realizing that we're on them.... lmfao
I remember now what made me initially think Trob was town. I just like this reaction. But if I'm being realistic, there's nothing preventing scum from also thinking "Why wouldn't this person vote with their townread?"
Butter new to me other cooking on it. Dunno why I haven’t done that yet
Butter's mostly for cooking on, but it certainly mixes in once it's a bit melted.
Please tell me you gave me a slight town read for the food conversation? I have been read by food preference type stuff in like three years.
the underlined just feels like a ballsy thing for someone who doesnt really like to be scum to write i guess, writing that out it feels more like a post-hoc justification but i've always just vibed with it since first seeing it. it just feels town
I don't hate this reasoning? Only thing is I don't think I would have ever came to that conclusion on my own or noticed the statement being AI. Not just because I lack strong meta on Tammy.
and yeah wrt RE i'm not getting the feeling voting him is useful. like on principle i hate unvoting unless i like strongly townread the person and there isnt a better vote, i'm sure you've heard someone else go on a similar spiel so i'm not really gonna repeat it because the more i type the more incoherent i get when i'm writing informally. anyway holistically we have a lot of null slots (since, you know, less than 24 hrs into the game) so i'm not really gonna jump on it happening just yet.
i guess out of the non-empty slots besides RE thus far i'd pick between vox and tubba, mostly because i either have a reason to townread the others (obv you, tammy, and scarlet, but also to a much lesser extent titus and kind of ara i was 100% kin with their opening) or don't feel it'd help me read them and i don't scumread them in grapefruit's case. vox mostly because if his reaction to ara's post wasnt a meme it was. yikes. and none of his scumhunting is really pinging me as town. tubba hasnt really done anything but they posted once so they get to be on this list too. there's probably a tone argument that exists there for tubba but it's not one i particularly am crazy about
gonna check the vote count since neither opening my third eye nor shuffling the playerlist around in a google doc gave me inspiration rip
i know i mentioned not being too crazy about vox's post on ara which theoretically would make that a better vote but i find people like him are easier to read in a macro sense and it wasnt like super scummy (otherwise i'd jump on it) so i'll play the nonposter roulette until i get a better sense on the full table :ok_hand:
This could be nothing, but I think it's slightly more townie than not that after listing Tubba and Vox as options to play around with, she went after Marko. As scum, they might sooner keep the story consistent.
Disagree with the vote, and maybe if she camped on a zero poster, it'd be an issue, but she moves to Osie not long after.
I'm currently gut reading ScarletCelestial as scum.
The imbalance between questions and comments on the game feels bad. There's enough in the game right now to comment on. And her questions directed at Tammy feel unwarranted (I don't see how they'd help figure out Tammy's alignment).
Have you played with her before? Her scumhunting style is kind of awkward and confusing the first time you play with her, especially when she's town ("scum is giving people what they want" rings VERY true in her playstyle, as town she's known as the moon queen to the point where her seeming logical is a scumtell. i wouldn't say that's accurate entirely but there are people who stand by that)
I just love this response being so honest and it was about the wrong player. I want to say it's townie, I don't think I should though, lol. Overall I like the initiative to make a defense.
With her vote on Osie, I think I'd like to see more to it. I also had a negative impression of Osie's #128, but he does appear to have a general opinion that going after lurkers isn't right, so the response makes sense. I also recall Osie saying he liked Poofme's reads list which is mad awkward when he also stated that Tammy was his only real read, the rest being fluff. I think what pings me though is this part:
i do find some of the things you're listing as scummy as questionable in merit though, like i dont really think anything titus has done that you've listed is really that scummy for her? (her logic is kind of confusing for someone who's never played with her for example) as an example.
Okay, so you disagree with his reasoning for scumreading Titus. But you're also saying that it might be justified because Titus' logic is difficult to follow? So why is it questionable for someone who's never played with them before to have that opinion of her?

When the point of no return appears, it is already behind you.
Because marko is my homie and I want to play the game with him. Would say there's a "level of engagement" tell with him and mafia games but I think it's starting to bleed over to his town games (where he just 30/40 posts in a 36/12 when he would usually be more active).
Obviously at this point he either doesn't know the game is going on or is real life busy to the maximum. Highly doubt he would be slanking this hard as either alignment without having made a single post.
I'm letting the wagon rip because people were having reactions to it and it started becoming more of a talking point
Also I needed a counterwagon to me so I called in my wolfbros for assistance
and I think him reacting to a wagon being on him could be fun to watch.
Very disappointed ara hasn't engaged yet. I'm not going to go in to this super hard right now but I have a tendency to read her super super well. Partly from some scum rands we've had together, partly from just spending a lot of time with her. I know she's real-life busy hosting games and maybe multitabling? Don't remember. Not going to talk about my thoughts on her first post and voxx push for [reasons] relating to ara not voxx.
atm I'm just locking in Yummy as town, want to lock in RedGhost and Tron for engagement reasons. They should be solid but I'm not locking them in for reasons beyond my own comprehension probably related to not having coffee yet. Tron > RedGhost personally atm though. RE makes me uncomfortable and I don't know why, but have liked their more recent posting more than their earlier stuff. Grapefruit is my cfd for EoD that I won't talk about for another 6 life days and pretend I never made this comment.
I'm pretty Not Engaged and it feels weird that voxx called that out early as a scum tell for me but I've gotten fairly minimal pressure. Would say the questions that were asked of me weren't really mindset/game oriented questions and weren't a good way to attempt to get reads on me.
I'm ghana shower and eat some stuff but I'll be around today while doing some stuff for a friend of mine. It's my day off let's gogogo
I just thought it was something completely regular, and didn't consider his background.
It's also the first time I've posted my scum game immediately off the bat, ever. Bizarre is a strong word imo, but it would have been unusual for me to do it.
3: That's fair. But I absolutely refuse to read him as town for that when I believe he's the kind of player who's capable of faking it. And I think that's what's happening here.
There are two other questions you've yet to answer ~.~

When the point of no return appears, it is already behind you.
RE - fair enough, but why would you think this comes from a Townier place than a scummier one? Is it just based on their posting afterward or tone?
Tammy - I don't really like that you're considering agreement as a part of why you read them, to me it just says pocket attempt more than anything. I've played a lot of games where too much agreement early on tended to turn into someone becoming a deep wolf.
Empoof - My mistake on this one then. Anything about Empoof you can point to being Townie in particular?
Grape - How can you comment on Grape's push when there is no push? The entire case is based on them refusing to share what they said page 1... Which then just slowly faded away into nothingness until I asked them again.
Scarlet - Fair. I think you're the only one who picked up on me having a bad day Wednesday though. Definitely speaks to you being able to pay a lot of attention to mental states.
Titus - Answered this to RE: didn't look back and assumed it was an RVS vote. Does make this seem quite off, though the next best implication was that this was simply a pressure vote seeing as Marko was the only one to not have posted whatsoever.
Trob - Separate post, want to ask a few questions to them first.

Like what? I feel my posting hasn't changed throughout the game (I'm playing it the same way), but it might be a matter of perspectives.
The overblown "I'm scum~" play is not the only thing. It's that the majority of your reads don't strike me as genuine. They're phrased nicely, in that you're definitely giving off the appearance of "I don't care how others view me" but I also don't see the logic or progression in them.
Why is Grape your CFD? Why is a wagon on a 0 poster a good talking point? I'd say it isn't at all.
Do you have any scumreads?

Would say I'm giving off the appearance of not caring about the game more than not caring how people view me. Would say all the logic and progression on my reads are surface level. They're all genuine though, can't take that away from me
What do you mean about grape? Don't think I've mentioned them much this game.
I didn't think it would be a good talking point but then everyone that's posted so far commented on it in some way and it moved discussion more, weirdly.
Don't have any hair gripping scumreads, more just people I'm going to push or question more when I'm more engaged so I don't mind playing the marko game until then.
Oh right and with you idk, mostly tonal stuff. I thought it was weird that you were considering me a fairly strong scum read and then asked me questions that weren't very good and agreed with my answers but didn't press me more (until just now). What has been derived from discussing the 0 poster? I saw miscommunication between Scarlet/Osie about it, Trob's vote on Osie is significantly more discussion-worthy than the 0 poster, and Scarlet Rage is doing their own thing.

ScarletCelestial, you have implied I caught you in your prior games, wanted me to focus more on my past with Tammy, and simlutaneously implied my early wagon study (too early to be vca) is not helpful. I feel like you aren't actually sorting me but setting it up to where if I make a mistake that you'll try to argue my posting is worthless.

I... fell behind on posting? I had 4 posts on page 1. I had 7 on page 2. I had 12 on page 3. 14 on page 4.
I progressively became more active.
If by not very good questions, you mean the elementary "why are you reading this person like that?", it's because you didn't provide the reasoning behind those reads. You called Scarlet pure but earlier said her tone as scum was good, so it didn't seem like a valid read. You called Osie's posts smart, but smart doesn't actually say anything about Osie's alignment?

wrt CrimsonSpecter it's a valid read, it's just a progression you don't like. I might not like it if I was you to, but I yam what I yam. I do remember you saying "fair" about it though

Fair, as in, nice observation. It doesn't do anything in regards to your alignment. Same way I'm not taking it into consideration when looking at the rest of Scarlet's posts.

I believe it. Don't feel bad about it, I felt really weird when I first got the result then later when uh... some stuff happened it made a lot more sense.
You are wrong about this. While microwave bacon is an affront to god, with the right vehicle it can be somewhat redeemed.
Think about the snotty, grisly, pus-like abomination that would be boiled bacon. No good can come of such a travesty.
It's funny, I also happen to find these suiting methods of execution (boiled alive, microwaved alive...).
Is there anyone you'd want subjected to this today? i.e. Lynch?
A friend of mine actually microwaved his mom's parakeet when he was seven. It haunts him to this day, particularly because our other friends will never let him forget it. He said he just wanted to see it turn around and around but I'm skeptical.
As far as the game goes, at the risk of sounding like a filthy OMGUS casual, I feel like Osie's entrance was built to throw shade and doesn't feel solvey in the way I'm used to seeing. They also seemed a little too rattled by being lumped in as low posting possible scum.
Nothing else really leaps out as scummy to me, I agree that there is probably one scum in the low/non-existent posters, and I can understand Voxx's push against Arapocalypse, but I'm holding my vote till I see some more action this game.

Take your time, I'm asleep and probably won't be able to post for the next 8 or so hours
I've never seen or heard of someone just throwing it out there so early without prompting.
I had very similar questions pop into my head about Empoof, RE, and Grapefruit before reading Tammy's posts.
It's just the sort of thing that stands out to me since I make a lot of readlists. But I was mostly taking it as a joke, hence the townlean on him.
Grape seemed to be noting nervousness and a fake tone. I was mostly noting the latter, with potential for the former. Though Grape has walked it back a bit saying it might be just a posting style, so I'm not certain.
Not any more, but your posts felt demotivated. Maybe it was just me.
This is wrong. Titus directly implied that it wasn't an RVS vote. "Let's get out of RVS." While I put lurkers low in my reads, I don't like going off of just Lynch All Lurkers, especially Day 1.
My issues with Trobairitz amount to:
* The jump onto RE in response to your RVS on RE seemed like an attempt to ingratiate with you.
* I'm kinda tired of people excusing away their scumtells with "This is just posting style," which are what 9 and the odd repeat in 13 feel like.
* #53 feels intentionally fence-sitty
What else is new?
I responded to Scarlet about my thoughts on Grape's push.
In regards to Titus, I don't know Titus' personality. But it's early anyways, and that's what I've seen so far. There's still a week and a half for reads to become more solid. (Though ideally it will happen sooner.)
That's just how I read Voxx's post, as I made clear. Just like I'm reading your post as an OMGUS vote with shoddy reasoning, as I'm making clear here.
Sheetpan, saute pan, custom toaster, or something else?
Unlike Scarlet, I'm more appalled by microwave bacon than by boiled bacon. Though boiled bacon does sound gross.
You are wrong about this. While microwave bacon is an affront to god, with the right vehicle it can be somewhat redeemed.
Think about the snotty, grisly, pus-like abomination that would be boiled bacon. No good can come of such a travesty.
@SCelestial not yet. Maybe tomorrow.
Back to RE you seemed to miss the point of the question towards Titus, it's how is being a second vote on a slot that hasn't posted moving is out of RVS.
I see, the way you referred to my scum game, it seemed like you were speaking with first hand experience. 3. That's one of the reasons I'm scumreading Foopme. It's overblown. Did you ignore that part?
4. This is the vote and post: Why did you think it was an RVS vote? And even if it were, why would you disagree with the criticism? The vote occurred page 3 of the game, and we shouldn't be in RVS still.
So they are artificial regardless. I don't know how I didn't pick up on this in your previous town games, but it appears to be a difference in playstyle. Was there a reason you directed some of your in depth questions towards Tammy and SR?
Still need you to answer why you'd expect Osie to realize that it was reasonable for me to post my scum game.
And this as well:
^How does this give you town vibes
^But this one did not?
What is actually different between the two answers? I felt like I was just giving a paraphrased version of my previous reason.
~~~
It's funny you say this. I asked the same thing earlier.
Did I miss the point? Because SC has continued to refer to the vote as RVS. I'm also not too clear you were actually saying there if you could rephrase...
Foopme (2): Tammy, RE1031
Trobairitz (1): osieorb18
Arapocalypse (1): Voxxicus
osieorb18 (1): Trobairitz
Not Voting (3): Tubba Fett, Arapocalypse, MarkoRaj
With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.
Day 1 ends at 14:30 Eastern Time on August 1st unless there is a majority lynch.
Problems with this vote count? PM me or DM me on Discord for the fastest response. Posting something in-thread will probably get my attention eventually.
Yes, I hate it and it’s mentally draining for me, but I do okay. I’m not nervous or scared scum; I think I suck at it but I probably think I’m worse at it than I am. The thing with me though is that I literally feel like I wear my alignment on my sleeve, so I try not to fake things like enthusiasm at the start of a game unless there is someone expecting something from me and I just hope they don’t notice how fake it is. I think there is a night and day energy from me between alignments, and there are some things I just cannot fake as scum no matter how hard I’ve tried. I do get written off as town early quite often for all those buzzwords you used, and it’s possible some are tmi, but except I the case of trob talking about a towntell I haven’t really concerned myself with it. It just feels normal; I’m sure I’ll look back and see how things fit together later, but I’m not worried about it now.
Now when I’m scum, I don’t typically get early town reads for any of the stuff people have said here because I just don’t feel this way as scum (except in certain instances like an alted theme I can roleplay, or drawing the mafia traitor that flips town which is hands down the most fun role to play, but these are outliers.). I tend to get more thoughts of like she’s there but not doing anything overtly scummy most of the time.
Did this make sense? I just woke up and I feel like that’s a groggy ramble.
Oh it’s a pretty common thing for people to read me early as fluffy or floaty but in a good way. I once got accurately scum read for not being floaty on day one..lol.
Yeah, being scumread incorrectly as town by almost everyone based on tone is a large majority of games for me... Especially games with Scarlet, though to be fair, one game I played with her was one of the two scumgames I've ever been in (and a very frustrating game due to mod issues). Since I would have won that if the mod had correctly implemented the gladiator role, Scarlet now scumreads me in every game we're in, as far as I can tell. The one other time I was scum in a game with her, I thankfully had a recruiting role and used it on her at the earliest possible opportunity.
Okay. It did seem like you were just saying "These lurkers are more likely to be scum."
I thought Troba seemed very fake, and maybe a little nervous.
Sheet pan in the oven. Sauté pan probably makes the best tasting bacon, but I get overwhelmed and the splattering grease freaks me out. When I was little bacon grease splattered right next to my dads eye and burned it, and I’ve been a scaredy cat ever since.
Microwave bacon is not ideal I agree, but it’s quick and easy. And doesn’t usually taste half bad.
I’m wordy, yes. But none of it is unnecessary to me depending on the point. I have a tendency to write in a sort of stream of conscious way, and when I’m trying to work out my thoughts or read on a player I’m usually playing with several strings or thoughts. It’s annoying to get told you’re saying nothing or your words are unnecessary. It’s just how I think and work out my reads. It’s kinda roundabout at times, I agree, and sure I could put my editors hat on and pair it all down, but then a good bit of it gets lost.
Sometimes I’m more succinct because some things are more simple to figure out. I just always say if my ramble thoughts don’t help you read the game or my alignment, you can skip them if it’s annnoying to read.
That read on voxx wasn’t a blanket reasoning. It comes from how I think voxx, in particular, would react to early meaningless town reads on him under different alignments based on what I’ve seen in his town game (that’s minimal experience btw) and the way he’s talked about his scum game.
It’s a light read though and as with all my reads subject to change over the course of
minutesthe game.And this hopefully concludes the self -absorbed portion of the morning
No ara:( no markoraj
To be fair, according to Troba, that could be a personality thing, but I also don't trust Troba right now, and I think that relying on someone else's description of meta here instead of actually thinking about Scarlet's posts isn't fair.
RE is pretty town here, though.
@Grapefruit: I played with Tammy before. I modded a game with Empoof in it. My Empoof read is much more mild and tonal. Tammy read is based on actually having a bit of an idea of how to read Tammy.
I kinda want to scumread Empoof because both people voting him seem very town. But that's not enough of a reason. I'll ISO Empoof at some point later today and see what comes of that.
That's why I'm not after Troba right now. It feels like a playstyle thing rather than actual scumminess. I've encountered players who type like that as town so I don't think it's all to make it difficult to get a read on them (granted, they're not the same players, but it's definitely a real trait). I'll take a look at their case on you though, I feel like they've moved their vote around somewhat, and if I find something AI, it'd be in the reasoning for the vote changes.
3: The thing is, I don't think he'd be so overblown early on about being scum with Marko. He has no reason to do it, and by doing it he's only looking scummy so it probably wouldn't be done purposefully.
4: I thought it was an RVS vote because it was on a zero poster, so it's my own mistake for not checking back to the vote itself.
It's also very reasonable for you to post your scum game because I do that a lot myself on MU. I felt like Osie's calling it bizarre when I find it absolutely normal. However, I realise due to their reply where they are probably coming from. Osie plays mainly here and MAL to my knowledge which are close communities that have no need for meta to be given so early on, compared to myself who plays mainly on MU which is much less close and I post my meta quickly all the time. I just thought it was something completely regular, and didn't consider his background.
Disagree with the vote, and maybe if she camped on a zero poster, it'd be an issue, but she moves to Osie not long after. I just love this response being so honest and it was about the wrong player. I want to say it's townie, I don't think I should though, lol. Overall I like the initiative to make a defense.
Because marko is my homie and I want to play the game with him. Would say there's a "level of engagement" tell with him and mafia games but I think it's starting to bleed over to his town games (where he just 30/40 posts in a 36/12 when he would usually be more active).
Obviously at this point he either doesn't know the game is going on or is real life busy to the maximum. Highly doubt he would be slanking this hard as either alignment without having made a single post.
I'm letting the wagon rip because people were having reactions to it and it started becoming more of a talking point
Very disappointed ara hasn't engaged yet. I'm not going to go in to this super hard right now but I have a tendency to read her super super well. Partly from some scum rands we've had together, partly from just spending a lot of time with her. I know she's real-life busy hosting games and maybe multitabling? Don't remember. Not going to talk about my thoughts on her first post and voxx push for [reasons] relating to ara not voxx.
atm I'm just locking in Yummy as town, want to lock in RedGhost and Tron for engagement reasons. They should be solid but I'm not locking them in for reasons beyond my own comprehension probably related to not having coffee yet. Tron > RedGhost personally atm though. RE makes me uncomfortable and I don't know why, but have liked their more recent posting more than their earlier stuff. Grapefruit is my cfd for EoD that I won't talk about for another 6 life days and pretend I never made this comment.
I'm pretty Not Engaged and it feels weird that voxx called that out early as a scum tell for me but I've gotten fairly minimal pressure. Would say the questions that were asked of me weren't really mindset/game oriented questions and weren't a good way to attempt to get reads on me.
I'm ghana shower and eat some stuff but I'll be around today while doing some stuff for a friend of mine. It's my day off let's gogogo
3: That's fair. But I absolutely refuse to read him as town for that when I believe he's the kind of player who's capable of faking it. And I think that's what's happening here.
There are two other questions you've yet to answer ~.~
RE - fair enough, but why would you think this comes from a Townier place than a scummier one? Is it just based on their posting afterward or tone?
Tammy - I don't really like that you're considering agreement as a part of why you read them, to me it just says pocket attempt more than anything. I've played a lot of games where too much agreement early on tended to turn into someone becoming a deep wolf.
Empoof - My mistake on this one then. Anything about Empoof you can point to being Townie in particular?
Grape - How can you comment on Grape's push when there is no push? The entire case is based on them refusing to share what they said page 1... Which then just slowly faded away into nothingness until I asked them again.
Scarlet - Fair. I think you're the only one who picked up on me having a bad day Wednesday though. Definitely speaks to you being able to pay a lot of attention to mental states.
Titus - Answered this to RE: didn't look back and assumed it was an RVS vote. Does make this seem quite off, though the next best implication was that this was simply a pressure vote seeing as Marko was the only one to not have posted whatsoever.
Trob - Separate post, want to ask a few questions to them first.
I have read 77 and 85: it seems most of your posts boil down to gut feelings and tone, but can you point out any posts and say what's actually Townie about them?
For what purpose do you think it best that you voted Marko?
Titus and Empoof:
Why are you still voting Marko?
Unvote
The overblown "I'm scum~" play is not the only thing. It's that the majority of your reads don't strike me as genuine. They're phrased nicely, in that you're definitely giving off the appearance of "I don't care how others view me" but I also don't see the logic or progression in them.
Why is Grape your CFD? Why is a wagon on a 0 poster a good talking point? I'd say it isn't at all.
Do you have any scumreads?
I mean I just said it right up there ^
What do you mean about grape? Don't think I've mentioned them much this game.
I didn't think it would be a good talking point but then everyone that's posted so far commented on it in some way and it moved discussion more, weirdly.
Don't have any hair gripping scumreads, more just people I'm going to push or question more when I'm more engaged so I don't mind playing the marko game until then.
What has been derived from discussing the 0 poster? I saw miscommunication between Scarlet/Osie about it, Trob's vote on Osie is significantly more discussion-worthy than the 0 poster, and Scarlet Rage is doing their own thing.
Because it gives good data. I rarely unvote
I progressively became more active.
If by not very good questions, you mean the elementary "why are you reading this person like that?", it's because you didn't provide the reasoning behind those reads. You called Scarlet pure but earlier said her tone as scum was good, so it didn't seem like a valid read. You called Osie's posts smart, but smart doesn't actually say anything about Osie's alignment?
Can you delete my faildd vote attempt? Ty.
Don't think I ever said I wanted to CFD grape, maybe you read my shadowhydra game and are confusing some things? Yup you became more active. Fell behind on posting might have been phrased poorly, I thought you felt more in the background before and then started being more in the foreground / more of a face.
wrt CrimsonSpecter it's a valid read, it's just a progression you don't like. I might not like it if I was you to, but I yam what I yam. I do remember you saying "fair" about it though
Smart says nothing about osie's alignment and I have nothing for osie's alignment, but boy he really puts that noggin of his to good use.
Fair, as in, nice observation. It doesn't do anything in regards to your alignment. Same way I'm not taking it into consideration when looking at the rest of Scarlet's posts.
If I sound certain about my read on you, I'm really not at all. I just don't currently scumread anyone else more strongly (except for Scarlet, you're on equal grounds with them).
I'm still gonna vote marko because I'm being stubborn and scored 99% brat on my bdsm test.
Huh. I got 98% brat, lmao.
I believe it. Don't feel bad about it, I felt really weird when I first got the result then later when uh... some stuff happened it made a lot more sense.
A friend of mine actually microwaved his mom's parakeet when he was seven. It haunts him to this day, particularly because our other friends will never let him forget it. He said he just wanted to see it turn around and around but I'm skeptical.
As far as the game goes, at the risk of sounding like a filthy OMGUS casual, I feel like Osie's entrance was built to throw shade and doesn't feel solvey in the way I'm used to seeing. They also seemed a little too rattled by being lumped in as low posting possible scum.
Nothing else really leaps out as scummy to me, I agree that there is probably one scum in the low/non-existent posters, and I can understand Voxx's push against Arapocalypse, but I'm holding my vote till I see some more action this game.
