@Osie If it's based on him fitting with Vez and Mikey together then I'm going to need you to tell me why those two are spies together. Because I don't see a spy picking his buddy who told him to give it to someone else.

That's fair. My thought was making it easier to coordinate. But anyways, I think if anything it's one or the other, but I'm not sure on the last one. Maybe Vaimes instead of Vezok; that seems more likely.

I think I'm just tired and shouldn't be reading right now but I'm not following this. You agree the unlikiness of buddies choosing tht mission is fair. And you think it's one of the other. As in you think one of the two is likely scum?
But then you saying you're not sure who the third is doesn't make sense because you only have one. And if Vez is town your wuffles case was based on him supporting Vez and Mikey. So then it's just Wuffles is scum for town reading town!Vez?

It's not insane to prop up a scumbuddy and then do the same to a town member. Mikey feels like scum based on tone, Wuffles is mostly an effort read, but the association with Mikey seems bad for what it is. Mikey and Wuffles both propping up Vez looks strange but it could be an act.
Uwha? How have people not figured out that Vezok is literally the easiest person on MTGS to read yet? (aside from Mikey - though I'm interested in knowing what he saw - since I've already said why in-thread)
Mikey, why are you calling me a spy my dude? Is it just an inactivity read as well or are you actually just looking in a mirror and spy-reading me

I don't find Vez easy to read at all... I've mislynched him or wanted to so many times in so few games. Enlighten me please.
@Vaimes I have a few doubts swirling but that's my predominant view. Just not a high confidence in it yet.
@Vaimes: I... well I didn't officially ask it but I kinda alluded to wanting to know it. So I'll officially ask now: Do you think Osie's mission suggestion is alignment indicative? It looks like you're townreading him. Is that independent of that suggestion or inclusive of it? Why?
@Osie: Can you lay out a t/s list with reasons please? You're back and forth with grape has left me confused.
@Wuffles: You too actually. Your 'duh wuts going on' posts are irking me and seem insincere. I want a full t/s list with reasons.
@Mikey: Who are you planning to propose today? Also, what do you think of the people currently scumreading you? How many of theme are sincere?
@Vezok: I think I recall you saying you were scumreading Mikey before you picked him for your mission... is this correct? If it is, what was your game plan in taking him with you?
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

Grape - Good questions.
Killjoy - Tryhard and nothing he's saying sounds informed. Very town.

Mikey - Somewhat POE, mostly tone. Seems like he's rubbing his hands together and planning out each move carefully.
Wuffles - Manipulative, Low activity and "I'm lost" feels intentional, a bit staged.
@Vezok: I can't find the post where you start scumreading Mikey. Can you point it out to me?
I'm not sure if I posted anything related to this. I wanted to make my proposoal without miley knowing I scum read him. I've been scumreading him since his first few posts, but I didn't say anything cause I wanted to propose this team.

I think if wuffles actually is a spy they can't afford to send in a pass here, so if the mission passes I think we've found a town block
I was debating osie over wuffles since they're in a similar spot to me right now, kind of PoE- ing them right now
Talk more about Wuffles here. Are you trying to get a failure in this mission? I'm not sure what the point of saying you're PoE'ing them here is otherwise.
I'm using this phase to gamesolve. If there's a spy on this team I think it's wuffles, and I think spy wuffles always sends in a fail here. If the mission succeeds I'll have to put wuffles in the resistance and grape in the spies
@Osie No, I really was lost before. It felt like everyone was talking out of their ass and didn't have any good reads to give and I didn't really understand people's reasons. That, and I was basically V/LA except for very quick re-reads the last couple days.
Vezok is easy to read when he goes with his gut over taking other people's opinions into consideration. He's like wisp in that regard. They both play confidently without ever bowing to pressure from people trying to convince them to do stuff. If they change their mind, it's only ever on their own terms.
Vezok's choice of mission 1 participants was the perfect example of that. He's a lock town read for me and I will be advocating adding him to every mission team from now on until such time as a failure forces me to re-think.
Killjoy too is doing the same thing that he does when he's town - he's asking intelligent, well-thought-out questions and is taking time to make up his mind. He's also at this stage lock town for me until failure etc.
Osie I'm not sure on. I still don't really have much experience playing with him, so I don't really know what's going on with him. His reads seem to have changed a lot since the start of the game - is that normal for him? I think it probably is so I'm leaning slightly town on him.
Emcee Mikey is currently my top scum read. His Vezok read just seems really forced and his reaction to being called out to magic bag his reasoning feels like trapped scum that wasn't expecting such a strong reaction to an otherwise minor bluff. I assumed initially that his reasons were the same as mine, but after re-thinking like why would he refuse to provide his reasons unless his reasons were "I know Vezok is town". He's probably my strongest scum read right now.
Grape I'm not certain about. He hasn't shown his scum meta tells yet, so I'm leaning town, but let's see how that one goes.
Vaimes I'm a bit torn on. On the one hand, I kind of expect more from Vaimes as town than I've seen so far this game - but at the same time, I could buy town Vaimes making a play like that to generate discussion. Unsure on him right now - maybe leaning slightly town?
With this in mind, I'm happy to vote pass for this mission team. If we get a fail, then it'll confirm us our first scum in Mikey.

You have 5 town reads plus yourself. That's dubious.

If you think Wuffles is >rand scum, and you think scum has to fail to avoid town being 1 mission away from winning why are you putting a suspected scum read over a town read in the mission?
because at some point we need to be perfect, I'm not risking the chances that I have 3 townies where it will come back to bite us in the butt later when we're at a loss. Basically, more often it happens that one of the first three missions are a fail and I'm doing it in a way where we can control the outcome. It's foolproof

I still don't get this at all. You're saying that Vezok is a 100% lock rebel/town read and you're never changing it so you're testing to find scum. If the mission fails it had to be wuffles who failed it. And you think he's likely to. If it passes you're 100% town clearing Wuffles? Does that sum it up?
Yep. If it passes then the townies are me, vezok, wuffles, and killjoy.
Why are you lock clearing Vezok again? And given that I'm scum reading you why shouldn't I think you'd pass this mssion to put yourself deep undercover?
(He’s trying to force convenient “townclears” with a spy buddy by saying “oh if this mission passes ~everyone~ on it is town!” and then letting the mission pass.)
you can think what you want but if you wanna win you might have to reflect some
Still talking to me like you know I'm town but continue pushing this weird plan to prove or out Wuffles.... I have reflected and I keep coming back to you being scum.
you can think what you want but if you wanna win you might have to reflect some
Still talking to me like you know I'm town but continue pushing this weird plan to prove or out Wuffles.... I have reflected and I keep coming back to you being scum.
And like if you were really trying to find scum here KJs idea of not including yourself in the proposal would make more sense to me. Like if town you was interested in finding scum more than passing missions why wouldn't you either do something like Vaimes/Vez/Wuffles or me/Vez/Wuffles?
Mikey: When did Grape leave your townblock? You were crowing about him being town earlier when you were trying to get him sent on Mission 1.
I'm planning to vote no on this mission for a couple reasons:
1. Mikey forgetting that he was townreading Grape is hilarious, and probably makes him scum.
2. I've already said I don't wanna be on this mission. I can solve the game better without being on this mission.
I'm actually a little annoyed that you didn't just say who you were thinking because the reason I asked was so we could do a "scummy vig claim" target by committee where we all discuss the optimal makeup for this team since no one trusts you anyway. Waste of a proposal IMO.
It's cool though. We still have 3 more proposals before we're forced into anything.
Aside though: I'm kinda thinking that Wuffles is less likely his buddy here. It would be pretty ballsy to put two scum with me on that mission, risking multiple failures. That would just out multiple scum, and he can't guarantee that wouldn't happen since there's no chat. I don't think a YOLO happens here.

Yeah, see, that's why I'm a bit lost. Gun to head the scum are Grape, Vaimes and Mikey, but I feel like mikey failing this run is worth it for us. It eliminates one person from the pool and we still only need to win two more rounds out of three. KJ and Vez should be in every run from now on AFAIC.
How about we don't accept this mission and go KJ, me and someone else on the next proposal. Or any other proposition at all where we aren't convinced we are sending a spy on the mission.
Assuming this mission passes, then the spies are in big trouble, because mission 4 is almost a confirmed pass. So spies pretty much want to fail this mission.
If the mission fails, the info we get, at most, is that mikey is almost confirmed spy. Which is about the same information we have now.
Sending mikey on the second mission is the worst decision we could make right now.

If you think Wuffles is >rand scum, and you think scum has to fail to avoid town being 1 mission away from winning why are you putting a suspected scum read over a town read in the mission?
Do you mean that literally? As in, you’ve had success with this method before?
social deduction**
I don’t expect anyone to gracefully ignore that.
Why are you lock clearing Vezok again? And given that I'm scum reading you why shouldn't I think you'd pass this mssion to put yourself deep undercover?
With that perfect of a follow-up?
That's my thought but I want to hear Mikey's reasoning here.
Thanks to DNC at Heroes of the plane studios for this awesome sig and SGT_Chubbz for the awesome avy.

I was thinking reject and go "Vez, Killjoy, Osie"
Do you think me trying to
engineer somethingsolve the game quickly is alignment indicative?Anyways, that's what I'm going with whether or not this mission gets rejected, except for in the unlikely circumstance that this both gets accepted and passes.
Accept (2): Emcee_Mikey, Wuffles_II
