Welcome to Arkham, Massachusetts, a city under siege by the Elder Gods, otherworldly beings of great power, and their fiendish worshippers.
Arkham Horror Mafia is a Specialty game designed for 19 players.
Modded by DV and Osieorb18

Day 1 will be three weeks long.
Day 2 and onwards will be two weeks long.
With less than or equal to seven players, the days will be one week long.
Auction House
When players join, they will be sent a role pm that will include a password and account. The account represents a bidding number for use in the auction house, which will be a separate thread. Players bid on items using Gold and Silver coins. Gold coins are worth 3 Silver coins.
There will be a list of lot numbers available for bidding on. To whet your appetite, here is a little spoiler:
8 Scepter of Daoloth
11 Looking Glass
18 Ruby of R'lyeh
5 Vial of Holy Water
35 Puzzle Box
999 Rock
Out of the list, three items will be voted on by players and the remaining items will be randomly selected to provide five items. For Day 1, the voting will be open for a week. Day 2 onward, the voting will be open for three days.
Voting
Players can vote for a lot number. They can vote for lot numbers in the auction thread with their bidding number. Players possess two votes for this part of the game and double voting is fully allowed.
Let's say players think Rock is the most interesting item on the list and it gets enough votes to be then auctioned off. Rock would be placed on the auction house listed as
Rock: Can be thrown at a player and beats scissors
The entire ability text will be readable by players. In order to bid on this item, players would then log onto their auction accounts to post their bids. Players can auction their own items as well, and do that through bid number by pming the moderators.
Osie wants to sell an item
Rock: Can be thrown at a player and beats scissors
Osie pm's a mod to sell it under their bidding number, 777. The moderator would then post that Bidding Number 777 wishes to sell
Rock: Can be thrown at a player and beats scissors
Players can set their own exchange rates for Gold and Silver for the items they sell, e.g. 1 gold coin for 4 silver instead of 1 gold coin for 3 silver.
Wills
Players will come to collect wealth and items during this game. A player can update their will whenever they so choose. When that player dies, their will will be read aloud and items and money passed out as they wanted. They are free to divvy up their loot however they see fit.
If a player does not have a will, or fails to update it for an item or increase in cash, then any extra loot will be divided up as players see fit. Players will vote on who gets which items or extra cash. This voting process will end the same time as the voting for auction house items ends if a majority is not reached, at which point the player with the highest votes will gain the item. If two players or more are tied, then it will be randomly decided between those players.
Sanity
Its Arkham Horror, we are all going crazy slowly. All players have a sanity counter. Going to -4 sanity will result in players being hauled off to the insane asylum, suicide or any other number of flavorful game removals. Basically, going to -4 sanity = death. In order to compensate for the abilities and items' cost on your sanity, players can choose to not perform night actions and regain one sanity instead.
Items/Phases
Some items will be activatable by day, some by night. Some items will be either phase. Many items or abilities might make references to cycles. A cycle is the phase it is activated in plus the next phase. So if an item said "can be activated at night and last through the next cycle," that would mean it lasts until the end of the next day phase.
Furthermore, some items have cooldowns on use. These cooldowns stick with the item, not the player. This is to not allow players to use an item that has a cooldown, sell it and then have another player use the same item.
#0: I am the mod and I reserve the rights to change these rules.
I am the final arbiter of role interactions and game rule infringements. I will never lie or intentionally mislead you. If you have a problem with a ruling I make, please shelve it until after the game. To the best of my and my reviewers' knowledge, this is not a bastard game.
#1: Have fun, be respectful towards the other players and follow the normal forum rules. This is a game, which we're playing for fun.
You are responsible for following all forum and subforum rules and guidelines. Forum-wide rules are available here. Mafia subforum rules are available here. Additional subforum rules are here:
-Game Limit-
Players may participate in only three games at any given time. An exception to this rule can be made by moderators in need of a replacement for a game, if no other replacement can be found.
-Suicide-
If you no longer wish to participate in a game for any reason, contact the moderator. Do NOT attempt to force the moderator to modkill you.
-Current Game Discussion-
A player in an ongoing game may not discuss that game with any other player in that game, or in public forums. Also, it is a good idea to ask permission before discussing the game with anyone outside the game, because they can no longer replace into the game once any meaningful discussion takes place.
-Cryptoclaims-
Unless explicitly authorized by the game moderator in their opening rules section, cryptoclaims are forbidden.
-Out-of-game Promises-
Players may not use out-of-game promises (example: I swear on my grandmother's life, I bet you my entire collection of magic cards, etc.) in an effort to influence other players.
-Multiple Players On One Account
"Hydra" accounts - multiple people playing and posting as one player with shared access to the "gimmick" account, are not allowed unless they have prior approval from the specific game Moderator. Please do not do this on your own.
-Traitor/Alignment Switching Roles
Game moderators are strongly encouraged to be extraordinarily careful if they seek to include a traitor role in their designs. These roles are notorious for causing games to implode, for creating fairness concerns, and for the challenge they pose to the town's behavioral analysis. (See Discussion in Council Thread, Post 3351, onwards.)
Mafia is a game, we’re here to have fun. Please be respectful of your fellow players. Sometimes emotions run high and we get caught up in the moment. That is not an excuse for flaming or poor sportsmanship.
Flaming is a hostile verbal attack directed at another person or group of people. Trolling is the act of deliberately provoking a hostile reaction from other users. These actions will not be tolerated. Additionally, harassing and flaming someone via PMs may trigger more severe offenses, up to and including a suspension.
We do not recognize excuses such as "he flamed me first!"; if you feel attacked by other members, report the post and let moderators handle it rather than flame back. Similarly, if you feel that someone is trolling, just report the post/thread. Calling someone a troll also amounts to flaming/trolling.
The rule of thumb is to criticize the idea, not the person. You may think a deck is bad, and you may say so (though make it constructive), but a deck being bad doesn't make the poster an idiot. Be respectful.
Responding to other people with unwarranted hostility, picking fights and in general being a jerk to other members is also grounds for moderation. Remember, it is everyone's job to be friendly and civilized, and maintain other users' good forum experience. We want people to get along.
Even though Mafia involves attacking other players, flaming is still not allowed. Please refrain from personal insults, especially personal insults coupled with profanity. Attacking another user's play (e.g. "That was an incredibly stupid vote") is acceptable.
Also, remember that image leeching is not allowed on MTGSalvation.
Image leeching is hot linking to an image (using [img] tags) that is NOT hosted on:
MTGSalvation.com (including anything starting media-dominaria.cursecdn.com)
MagicCards.info
Your own webhosting
An image uploading site like Facebook, ImageShack.us or Photobucket.com
A site that has given you express permission to hotlink
We HIGHLY suggest that all Rumor Mill posts attach images to the posts using the forums' own software. We have had cases in the past where WoTC's website was down and images were unavailable, and where Photobucket/personal image sites removed high traffic images.
If you are unsure whether a site is considered a photo hosting website, the best thing to do is upload them to MTG Salvation or your own photo hosting website account. Alternatively, you can ask a moderator.
While profanity itself is not against the forum rules, and you are free to include profanity in your posts as appropriate, certain words are automatically censored by forum software. Do not attempt to evade the censor. Self-censoring, any attempt to 'cheat' a word past the censor, or attempting to clarify what a censored word is, are all considered censor evasion. If you're going to swear, just swear.
While I don't care about cursing, I will report, replace, and/or modkill you for derogatory content, in particular, slurs, in relation to another user or person, at my own reasonable discretion.
#2: Keep the out-of-game separate from the in-game. This is a modkillable offence.
DO NOT talk about this game outside of this thread and quicktopic links or PMs given to you in your role PM or approved by me. Please ensure I am copied in on any out-of-game messages sent to other players.
DO NOT directly quote or screenshot your role PM or any private communications (QuickTopics, etc.) when posting in the main game thread. This includes mason chats and scum chats. Please paraphrase - if you are in doubt, ask me before posting!
When generating (or faking, as applicable) reads, please do not use angleshooting or out of game knowledge, to the best of your ability. This means do not use the timing, reasons, or order of substitutions and modkills to influence others, do not use the timing or phrasing of role PMs to influence others, do not make alignment bets with out of game consequences, and do not use “trust tells” or similar. This list is not exhaustive.
#3: DO NOT edit, delete, or thank posts. Even if it’s an accidental double post. This is a modkillable offense.
#4: No funny business. DO NOT use invisible text, cryptography, tiny writing, hidden messages, acronym/alphabet claims, or similar. DO NOT post after you are dead. DO NOT post if you are not a player. This is a reportable/modkillable offense.
#5: Post game-related content at least once every 48 hours. LET'S MAKE THIS A REPLACEMENT-FREE GAME, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.
If you have not posted in 48 hours, you will be prodded. Failing to respond to the prod within 48 hours will lead to your replacement. Content is, of course, subjective, but “Posting to avoid prod,” “catching up,” or similar short not-really-game-related posts are obviously not content. If you need to be absent for an extended period of time please post “V/LA until [Date]” in bold on its own line in the thread so that I and the other players know when you’ll be back. You do not need to explain your reasons for being absent in thread. If you will be gone for more than four or five days you should consider requesting replacement.
#6: I make no promises about public answers to any question. If you have a question about your role or a rules interaction, please communicate with me privately.
I will be particularly unlikely to answer questions posed to me in the game thread other than questions about vote counts or deadlines. If you raise a question in a private message that needs addressing to the entire game (regarding a special rule or similar), I will respond as I feel is appropriate.
#7: By confirming that you have received your Role PM you also confirm that you have read it. Not reading your Role PM is a reportable offense.
#8: Once lynch threshold is reached, votes are considered locked in. Votes and unvotes made after that will not be counted. (This is known as the Twilight phase.)
#9: If deadline is reached and no player has reached lynch threshold, the day ends with no lynch.
#10: Make your votes clear to the mod. BOLD your votes and place them on separate line.
Unbolded votes will not be counted, nor will votes in the middle of a huge wall of text. Unvoting is helpful but is not required.
#11: Scum players may submit actions for other scum players if the other scum player has not submitted an action. However, if the other player ever submits an action, their fellow scum cannot change what that player submitted.
TL;DR: Be excellent to each other, post something substantial every 48 hours, ask me questions in private when possible, don’t edit or delete posts, no funny business involving cryptography, etc. and... have fun, that’s the whole point.

The sun never seemed to shine anymore in Arkham. A strange fog was drifting through the city streets with an unnatural feel to it. Unnatural seemed to be the constant word added in all of the headlines recently. Over the past few months, there had been more disappearances and murders than anywhere else in the country and almost all of them had tags of “Unnatural Death,” “Robed Assistants,” or even “Monster Sighted."
There were rumors of eyes in the forests and creatures walking the streets at night. There was an electricity in the air and a grisly sight round every corner. A stench that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up when you smelled it came from many a building.
Meanwhile, a new auction house had opened up in town and people had flocked to see its wares. This wouldn't usually have been a strange occurrence, since more shops than one could count had opened up in the last few months, all with a mysticism flare. However, this shop had opened up after a massive police raid down on the dock, and was rumored to be selling the goods that had been seized there. All of the crates had strange symbols on them, and nobody seemed to really know what any of the items were or if they did anything at all. All they had was the labels from the ship's log.
Some of the items had already been sold and rumor was that some of these owners had suffered mysterious injuries or even death. Ripped from limb to limb in a way the police reports had written as “inhuman." Witnesses had reported seeing cloaked strangers running from the houses of the victims. The Auction House had immediately moved to recording sales anonymously after that.
The police seemed to be incapable of catching these criminals, or stopping the monsters. In today's paper, the front page read “Police accept mob judgment.” The police chief seemed to think that maybe the citizenry would be better equipped for dealing with these issues. Whether or not this was a wise decision will be seen in time.
Day 1 starts now.
Day 1 ends on April 20th 12:00 PM PST
With 19 players alive, it takes 10 votes to lynch. As a remainder game is a majority lynch only.
Of late my walks, which had once rejuvenated my body and cleared my mind, instead fill me with anxious thoughts and uncertain impulses. The whisper of rustling trees is no longer a comforting presence; I hear foreboding warnings in it, and it sometimes strikes me as carrying echoes of a chant. The wrought-iron fences and steepled roofs that I had so admired now seem askew, as if the architects were working to some other geometry not entirely fit to my own mind. More than once I have thought to curtail my outings, yet I cannot shake this creeping, unreasonable fear - that there are changes happening, as if the roads and buildings were living things that shift and crawl about when I am not observing them. Thus I am driven out again and again.
The sun rises, a wan and warmthless light through the mists that seem to have taken up permanent residence over the city. I go to speak with the others. Little more than acquaintances they are, yet my only hope of unraveling the mystery and easing my mind of these concerns. Still I hesitate to trust them, for the note spoke of a lurking presence - of those who carry on the business of civilized men and women by day, but who at night go to unwelcoming places and call the strange names of things best left forgotten in the antiquity of the world.
I peer at my fellows. Their countenances reveal little - but is that a hint of worry in that one’s eyes? Is that twitch of the other’s lips a nervous habit, or an amusement incongruous with our furtive gathering? I gather my courage and speak up. Though my words are little more than ramblings with so little to go on, I fear that if I hesitate much longer, I shall lose my nerve completely. I point out one from the crowd, a face that haunts me with familiarity, as if from a meeting many years ago, or a dream half-remembered.

Alright after seeing this I’m gonna drop my own roleplay lol
I have one main idea from it that should be discussed. It's about auction numbers. Should we all claim and decide on who gets what item or should we stay hidden this way minimizing the potential of a townie with a good item being eliminated. I can see advantages and disadvantages for both of these options.

I dont see a benefit of this, because we wouldnt really know whos controlling the game... plus defeats the purpose of an auction... and lastly, everyone will know who has what items. I guess all of these can be seen as bad for both mafia and town tho... so idk...
A voice arises that is different from the rest. Unconcerned with the actions of others, pointing no fingers, they speak instead to the goings-on at the peculiar auction. The strange objects there have tugged at my curiosity as well, yet the voice rings hollow to my ears. What is this proposal for a revealing of our identities at the auction? Did we not adopt anonymous bids precisely because of the grisly fate of several buyers? And why do they, having advanced an idea, step back away from it so quickly, taking no position of their own?

If I had to choose exactly between them I'd probably go with revealing the numbers, but only barely. That's why I asked.

Would like to hear your rundowns on the advantages and whatnot since you obviously put in a lot more thought than me, I thought this was a Batman game until I got my role pm. I think I’d actually be in favor of keeping what items we get in the open and such because it would promote cooperation and communication and that’s always lovely to see in a game.
I will say though, I have an ability that can affect the bidding process, which is probably not the only one present in the setup and I’d be very surprised if the scum didn’t have one. So, keeping track of everything probably won’t be perfect but it can also help spot out when abilities like this aren’t used for good.

Your opinion is noted. Anyone else who’s here should probably chime in on this !

I thought about that, but I kind of feel like our numbers should be treated with the same secrecy as we treat our roles. I think we are more likely to catch someone in a lie and protect powerful roles by keeping them to ourselves until necessary to reveal and catch scum or in the case someone is forced to claim.
Also, Gooday Mates! In the most respectful and non-abbrassive way, no offense meant, but
VOTE: GRAPEFRUIT because he played the best scum game last game, so he deserves to die in the most pleasant way possible. Maybe buried alive in a Golden Sarcophagus? <----- That's my RVS vote.
@kami I enjoy the roleplay but it requires way too much effort for me to partake in that as well, thought i am curious to know if ur story has anything to do with that vote or was it entirely random.
@Atogaholic I actually thought u were prophylaxis your forum avatar throws me off. Also the way u came into the game throws me off as well but i dont believe ive played with you so can't say much about it, i like the vote on vaimes though since he previously slipped under the covers for me.
@shadow How could u vote someone after they sank their heart and soul into that roleplay

I see no real benefit into this, atleast not yet. Its way to early for me to decide if claiming auction numbers helps or hinders town. I can confirm the knowledge that I know someone in this game is town by default and their auction number but its to early for me to tell who that is

Its not like it matters who since i dont think we will know what an item does until it is bought from the auction house and I think only that player would know. I just think the items we choose can show who is clearly thinking it may even show alignment but i still want to wait and see.

So because of ur ability and the fact that others may have abilities that effect bidding we should just out our numbers? I mean ill gladly out the items i recieve if i think its towns best interest but outside of that i dont think we should just out information like that randomly.

I actually have to agree with what terry said, which is odd because i am pretty sure he normally likes it when people out how their roles effect the mechanics unless i am thinking of someone else
I however dont think ur vote was RVS, not a fan of oddly specific rvs votes they dont feel random to me.
Don't agree with VeOk's idea. It's essentially similar to just mass claiming on Day 1. Too easy for scum to pick targets.
Unless you thinking numbers have something to do with alignment I dont see how its even slighyl similar to mass claiming, since our numbers wont give away much information on abilities or anything else for that matter.

Its random to the point where my vote wont be there for long, yes its more of a policy vote... but explain to me what makes this sound odd? this happens in almost all our games on MAL, so why are you attacking it now...
@last ur vote was so obvious
@crossbell almost as obvious as crossbell vote on togs
thanks for the unnecessary info here... do you just like to find random reasons to comment on posts, just to look busy...
I do like ur post on Terry's rvs vote tho, not as half baked as your other comments

If true, my friend, I fear you may already have said too much; for there are things that lurk behind the walls, and hear what is said. Rat-like things with faces grotesquely reminiscent of the human form, they report to masters who care not for the laws of man; and if you possess such knowledge as could shed light on our dilemma, they will assuredly seek to silence you, to keep us in the dark.
Its not like it matters who since i dont think we will know what an item does until it is bought from the auction house and I think only that player would know.
I entreat you to review the bylaws of the Auction House, in which it is said:
The entire ability text will be readable by players..
Thus each object shall be analyzed by experts, and its properties shall be revealed to all, when it is placed on the block; and it is a certainty that these objects will grant powers both wondrous and, in some cases, unnatural, such as might dwarf the limitations and skills of humanity. Thus anyone who knew what we possessed could know much of our potential power, and could turn that to nefarious ends - either to prepare for our efforts to halt the menace in this town, or to slay those who are best-armed, or perhaps even - and here I speculate - to catch us in some forsaken back-alley and rob us of our possessions.

Do you just like to grab the useless information I post and ignore the rest? Idk what your getting at here lol, its very relevant because if u had voted anyone other than gwen as ur rvs i would have assumed ur scum together by lynching u first.
I replied to almost every post, so how was it me trying to act busy?
I can confirm the knowledge that I know someone in this game is town by default and their auction number but its to early for me to tell who that is
If true, my friend, I fear you may already have said too much; for there are things that lurk behind the walls, and hear what is said.
Ok nvm then, if thats the case it may be beneficial to reveal auction numbers thought I still do believe we should wait until its proven that revealing said numbers is advantageous to town.
Well I mean i have 3 weeks to decide if that information is worth giving or not, and if anything unless there is some sort of day 1 day killing vigilante it should be fine. I would still rather wait till later into the day phase to decide what type of information is worth being given and if it will help catch scum.
Also prob should read into the auction some more, it seems i missed obvious stuff.
I clearly only stated that terry's vote was odd mainly because he gave a sepcific reasoning "Basing it off of a past game", yet called the vote random.
The rest of the votes were either what i expected or things i cant comment on cause idk how those players decide who to rvs.
First and most important question: Cursing allowed?
post must be in text and detectable by censors / not truncated. just preview your posts and see what words aren't allowed.
iirc DV used a **** you gif and got a warning for it.
I just make it a point to write properly and not in slang when on this site .-.

"I still remember the days I prayed for the things I have now.
First things first I'm already angry at whoever put a vote on the auction house logs. My main bit of pregame spec was that either we as a town refuse to bid on it and consider mass claiming if someone does, or put a late bid on it and have someone who the majority trusts buy it. I feel like that item does way way way more damage in the hands of scum then good in the hands of town.
Proposal: when that item becomes available for bidding someone trusted reveals their bid number and no one bids against them. If someone does we mass claim auction house numbers.
@Shin and Wisp I don't think policy vote means the same thing here that you think it means. Either that or you two really shouldn't be playing together.
@Terry <3 you too. A golden sarchophagus wouldn't be the worst way to go out, but I feel like I'd want something more humble. Maybe mortared into a wall of the crypts under the church cask of amontillado style.
Vote: Vezok I don't think a mass claim D1 helps us at all. I think D3 might be a good idea though. Let scum sweat the wine for a couple nights (and feel like they either have to do non provable things or appear town aligned) knowing they'll have to claim soon.
Gut town reads on Shin and Kami. For bad reasons. Also Hi Shin!
N.B. My opinion on the logs goes for the blacklist as well. I don't want those in the game until after a mass claim and I don't want to mass claim yet.

Hi
I actually agree to that proposal
Also u make it sound like you think the person who asked for the logs is scum? Or are u just speaking in general terms.
Policy voting is something i expect people to do every time they play because they're just choosing to get read wrong if they try toa ct differently. You are prob right in that policy lynching may be different on this site. You think hes scum or atleast scummy for suggesting that plan? Or is that vote stickly rvs.
I suspect it's either a list of all item abilities or a list of everything that will later be revealed for auction. And the blacklist one I suspect has something to do with secret items. Either way they both seem to be items that would primarily provide information about other items and that is not something I want the scum team to get their hands on.
And I don't currently believe the person who voted for it is scum. Could very easily be someone naively wanting a list and not realizing how much more valuable that is in an organized team's hand then in one random person's hands. Either way I think it's hurting town to have that item go up for auction. I might be completely off base (this is pure speculation after all) but the downside potential is really high.
And yeah that is completely different to my definition of policy voting. Policy voting (to me) is voting for someone because you want them out of the game regardless of alignment. For example shadow policy votes people for self voting regardless of his alignment or what he believes their alignment to be.
And Vezok is a semi RVS. I strongly disagree with his proposal and think it's slightly anti-town, but I know I disagree with him on how best to handle mechanics fairly often so it's hard to discern his alignment from that disagreement.
- I'm going to keep mechanical discussion to a limit in my posts. Obviously, it's a huge part of the game, and it's going to come up at some point. However, I find that overfocusing on mechanical discussion gives scum a smokescreen in which they can post/engage in discussion, and I don't want that. I'm just going to keep scumhunting normally and then dive into mechanical discussion when I deem it relevant.
- Not a fan of vezok's idea because I feel like that pushes a lot of information into the public which the scum can potentially manipulate, and I don't want to spend the entire Day deciding who gets X item when we can literally just figure out who the bad guys are and lynch them.
@Shinichi: Why do you have to ask for permission to vote for someone? It's RVS; let the votes fly?
Quote from Shinichi »
its very relevant because if u had voted anyone other than gwen as ur rvs i would have assumed ur scum together by lynching u first.
What do you mean by this? If Last voted anyone other than Gwendolly for his RVS vote, you would have assumed that Last is scum? Why?
Quote from Shinichi »
Because it would have been evident ur scum together if u didnt rvs the same person u do every game.
So if Last didn't vote Gwendolly for his RVS vote, you would have assumed that Gwendolly + Lastwhisper would have been scum together? Would appreciate clarification here.

Gut town reads on Shin and Kami. For bad reasons. Also Hi Shin!
Can understand the Shinichi one, but can you try to explain the Kami one? I just see.. creative roleplaying which is cool but not really sure if it's alignment indicative when Kami was pretty excited for this game to start in sign-ups.
"The mists rolled in, casting a dark shadow over the hearts of many. I wandered until I found myself lost, calling the names of my companions in vain, seeking even the briefest respite from this waking nightmare. The green mist surrounds me, draws me in, and I fear that I am no more."

11 Looking Glass
18 Ruby of R'lyeh
5 Vial of Holy Water
35 Puzzle Box
999 Rock
Out of the list, three items will be voted on by players and the remaining items will be randomly selected to provide five items. For Day 1, the voting will be open for a week. Day 2 onward, the voting will be open for three days.
Players can vote for a lot number. They can vote for lot numbers in the auction thread with their bidding number. Players possess two votes for this part of the game and double voting is fully allowed.
Let's say players think Rock is the most interesting item on the list and it gets enough votes to be then auctioned off. Rock would be placed on the auction house listed as
The entire ability text will be readable by players. In order to bid on this item, players would then log onto their auction accounts to post their bids. Players can auction their own items as well, and do that through bid number by pming the moderators.
Osie pm's a mod to sell it under their bidding number, 777. The moderator would then post that Bidding Number 777 wishes to sell
Players can set their own exchange rates for Gold and Silver for the items they sell, e.g. 1 gold coin for 4 silver instead of 1 gold coin for 3 silver.

Day 1 ends on April 20th 12:00 PM PST
With 19 players alive, it takes 10 votes to lynch. As a remainder game is a majority lynch only.
Vote Togs

I, too, am a sane person with no knowledge of the setup so I could not possibly know your alignment in any way.
I shall now partake in the jovial act of placing a random vote on one of my brethren, as is the custom in this world.
##vote: Vaimes
I have one main idea from it that should be discussed. It's about auction numbers. Should we all claim and decide on who gets what item or should we stay hidden this way minimizing the potential of a townie with a good item being eliminated. I can see advantages and disadvantages for both of these options.
Thanks to DNC at Heroes of the plane studios for this awesome sig and SGT_Chubbz for the awesome avy.
Check out the Shop Thread
If I had to choose exactly between them I'd probably go with revealing the numbers, but only barely. That's why I asked.
Thanks to DNC at Heroes of the plane studios for this awesome sig and SGT_Chubbz for the awesome avy.
Check out the Shop Thread
I will say though, I have an ability that can affect the bidding process, which is probably not the only one present in the setup and I’d be very surprised if the scum didn’t have one. So, keeping track of everything probably won’t be perfect but it can also help spot out when abilities like this aren’t used for good.
Don't agree with VeOk's idea. It's essentially similar to just mass claiming on Day 1. Too easy for scum to pick targets.
@last ur vote was so obvious
@crossbell almost as obvious as crossbell vote on togs
I see no real benefit into this, atleast not yet. Its way to early for me to decide if claiming auction numbers helps or hinders town. I can confirm the knowledge that I know someone in this game is town by default and their auction number but its to early for me to tell who that is
Its not like it matters who since i dont think we will know what an item does until it is bought from the auction house and I think only that player would know. I just think the items we choose can show who is clearly thinking it may even show alignment but i still want to wait and see.
But what would that gain?
So because of ur ability and the fact that others may have abilities that effect bidding we should just out our numbers? I mean ill gladly out the items i recieve if i think its towns best interest but outside of that i dont think we should just out information like that randomly.
Was half tempted to curse at you. This votes arent even random lol they're just policy votes at this point.
I actually have to agree with what terry said, which is odd because i am pretty sure he normally likes it when people out how their roles effect the mechanics unless i am thinking of someone else
I however dont think ur vote was RVS, not a fan of oddly specific rvs votes they dont feel random to me.
Can i vote you for this lol
Unless you thinking numbers have something to do with alignment I dont see how its even slighyl similar to mass claiming, since our numbers wont give away much information on abilities or anything else for that matter.
Its random to the point where my vote wont be there for long, yes its more of a policy vote... but explain to me what makes this sound odd? this happens in almost all our games on MAL, so why are you attacking it now...
@last ur vote was so obvious
@crossbell almost as obvious as crossbell vote on togs
