JT just a reminder that RE is female.
What do you make of RE's vanilla claim, though? Rarely do scum lock themselves into vanilla claims this early IMO - they always prefer to not to claim so that they can claim a PR if necessary. RE's sudden vanilla claim out of nowhere doesn't make much sense from a mafia mindset I believe?
RE: First he skipped his RVS, which is a HUGE scum tell. Ok, just kidding, but it's noted. I constantly saw him parroting peoples reads and jumping on which ever wagon he saw momentum shifting to. He was the first to call out Kpaca for town reading Shin. Which would imply that he thinks Kpaca is scum either buddying or knowing town alignments already as scum. It also sounds like that RE should know Shin's play style enough to know he sounds scummy either alignment. I didn't like that he said Kpaca was scummy for doing something I basically did too. It was my thought that he didn't point that at me because Kpaca was an easier mislynch. Was very over-defensive when I said he was a scum lean. Pushes WG Day 1 and has a strong townread on QH. Is upset about how hard WG tunnels on Vaimes, but we know WG was town, so... He made something I could see as a slip when he asked "when have I faked it before". Says he wasn't interested in lynching me, after he OMGUS me, and says Rhand is the safest Lynch for the day, but unvotes when he hears about Rhand's non-specific character role name. This is interesting because when RE flavor claimed Day 2, his character had a specific character name. Seems very certain Kpaca would have been a mislynch, even after he came in pushing him. He also seems genuinely at odds with Grape so I doubt they are scum together. Also wants to go after AG on Day 2, which is interesting because I also have AG as a top scum read. He was quick to jump on board my trap. I'm not sure how to read that. Shortly after he talks about wanting WG to claim, but way too early (cared more about role than alignment). He scum reads me fairly often, but only after I'm accusing him of doing something scummy. He flip flops between Shin and WG. He votes Shin, but when he hears it was the hammer he seems nervous. Also threatens to waste a vote on me when I call him scummy for what I said in my last sentence. T thinks Shin got Voteblocked so switches his vote back to WG, then doesn't move back. Post #1727 on Day 3 is really interesting because he criticizes me for analyzing interactions before flips, which is precisely all EL has been doing, but he hasn't batted an eye at Els alignment at all. I also find it noteworthy that his activity dropped significantly today when he was mostly off the radar as far as people's suspicion.
What are you talking about? I voted AG in RVS. Also, I did say between the you/EL banter EL came off as more scummy, so I have batted an eye. And I obviously clearly disagree with his current read of Shinichi. Interesting how you haven't noted that I completely stopped talking about AG - it's because Shinichi is number one priority.
Forget activity, can anyone say we accomplished anything worthwhile today? If people have questions for me, I'll answer them. But I don't think there's a point in drawing this out any longer when Shinichi is like totally scum.

I wouldn't say it was out of nowhere - EL suggested it and I saw no benefit in denying it. You know what I just realized? I know i am town. Scum would not be so brazen as to do what EL just did to someone they know wI'll flip town. He probably is just overconfident town. If he plays like this as scum we are going to have some major beef after the game. EL is town. Final answer. What do I win?
Vaimes I have a strong town read on from the early game. His work D1 felt very strongly like town Vaimes. I've been warned that scum!Vaimes often loses motivation and posts less as the game goes on, but given the general apathy while we're waiting for Shin to flip.
EL: Mindreaver had a very townie early game. Particullary the push on QH. EL also has a lot of town tells. I like a lot of their reads and convictions. The only thing giving me pause is the strong associative game play but that's a play style difference and in this case it doesn't seem to be playing to any advantage for scum. Well that and letting him talk me out of lynching Shin D2. But that's my own fault. Rereading my posts on Wheat I don't sound remotely convinced...
If Shadow pocketed me in a secret chat he is the all time greatest secret chat pocketer. Still can't believe the overwatch effort. Anyway he feels town here and I have liked his content since D1.
Terry has been a bit more up and down. But overall I like his gameplay and if nothing else I am liking the pbp walls he's posting here. They track with my reads and (unlike his other posts about NK prep) don't read with any sort of agenda other than wanting to leave a legacy. I also just don't think he'd talk so blatantly about being NK'd over and over again as scum. That's not a read I should make but it's how I feel. Also have some slight concerns about him being partners with shadow based on behavior change after my N1 chat. But that feels more like paranoia than anything real.
Vaimes
EL
Shadow
Terry
RE is kind of their own category. I have town feelings (really liked the way they reacted to Terry's trap for instance) but I have a weaker impression than I do of my strong town reads. Town enough that I don't want to lynch and no associations that would make me go after her either.
So that leaves Proph, AG, Shin, and QH. And I really think we stand a good chance to win the game if we just lynch through these three. I see no reason that Proph, Shin, and AG can't be a team. Or QH with Proph/Shin. Anyway Shin is by far the scummiest. He's been scummy all the way back to D1 and never had a strong leading stance on any issue. While also not being an effective follower. He's been off on his own in nowhereland playing both sides of every issue.
I also see Proph as strongly aligned with him for Kpaca's early game. So when Shin flips scum Proph is our next lynch despite everything he's done being very +town. It's all about the Kpaca D1 play here. Don't ignore it.
AG has done nothing and has a scum role. 0 tears shed over that lynch.
And QH has been discussed enough and I'm getting tired. I wouldn't put them as scum with Proph (because I don't see Proph double bussing on replacing in) but they fit in every other team.
Anyway that equals this rainbow wall that should win us the game.

There's a difference between what El did and what I did. He insulted me personally with vulgar language. I said screw you to him for doing that, with slightly less vulgar language. It was a response to his action, not a personal attack.
Ohhh right. Forgot about the RE vanilla claim. I kind of agree that RE is prob town for that. I'll put her into the bottom of the green group.
Despite me Town-reading RE, I do have to note that vanilla-claiming after there's a pretty-much-confirmed vanilla-cop power in play...doesn't mean a huge amount if she's a goon.
VAIMES: I've sensed something was off with this slot ever since he claimed to have targeted Rhand with the Vanilla Cop shot, which is why I thought of that trap. Something strange happened in the way the trap was resolved, which has increased my concern on Vaimes. In reading his ISO, it felt hollow. He doesn't seem interested. I don't he a lot of him calling anyone scum. He does seem to oppose Shin and Kpaca Day 1. However, his #608 that pleas for a Lynch does seem quite townie, but we will see what it means when Shin flips because it was a call to pile on Shin at end of Day 1. He jumps on the switch to Kpaca after that. He seems genuinely surprised about Shin's ability, so I can be fairly certain that Shin and Vaimes are not both scum together. He does push and vote AG Day 2 prior to finding out the claim, which would imply that he didn't know who sent it to him so maybe there isn't a Vaimes & AG +1 scum team, but I really think one of them is still probably scum. I really have an issue with how his activity levels dropped off when we were about to no Lynch Day 2. As I've said before, I didn't like his response to me calling him on it either. He's been very fence-sitty on Shin today, but refuses a CFD.
QH: I just wrote a long post about QH, then MTGS ate it. Then I wrote a medium post and MTGS ate it. So here's the short post. I read his whole ISO and all his post just seem reactive. Nothing really was proactive except for a push on WG, who seems to be the only player he has any strong feelings toward. A lot of his posts feel chalk full of empty questions and very little statements. His Lurk level has been sky high. There's one more thing that concerns me about him, but I'm choosing not to discuss it at the moment. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
EL: I don't see him calling me a **** slot and expressing that frustration in that way if he was scum, because he would know I'm town. I have my concerns with him, but I think it is very similar to the deal I had with Cyan in Mistborn, where he was just arrogant and overconfident town and wrong. I didn't like how he came in and pushed so hard on the WG/Shin thing, I feel like it's put us in a bad spot. I think him being stubborn and refusing to accept the obvious situation where I am town is also hurting this game because now, what should be two obvious town players are going to have a fist fight tomorrow and we aren't going to spend time finding scum. GRAPE: Grape has been very reasonable this game and has shared similar opinions to me. Just nothing has stood out as scummy about him to me this game. SHADOW: Being that I feel like Shin is more likely scum than shadow and that the two probably aren't both on the same team, I have to trust Shadow on this one. All of the night chats he's had has had the other player come out with a very positive opinion of him. PROPH: Proph replaced Kpaca, who played very scummily, but since his replace in has been pretty strong. I don't have a huge warm feeling about him, but nothing has been outwardly scummy either.
All that being said. I'm ready to hammer Shin. I'll give it a couple hours and then I'll hammer.
Random paranoid tinfoiling that I remembered after reading Terry's last post there is a Shadow/Proph scum pair that makes sense if you squint. Not with Shinichi which is a problem since that's where my only real scum vibes on Proph comes from but scum!Shadow targeting a scum buddy in Proph after pocketing me in the previous chat and counting on me to help him garner town reads for him and by extension Proph makes a certain type of sense. Terry, AG, QH, and Vaimes all work as a third in that pair but I don't see it as that likely in the first place.
That said I'm fairly confident Shin is scum by how little he's fighting off the lynch. He's not even trying and that vote on Terry with no reasoning was lazy. Maybe he's just burnt out, but I think he's just accepted the lynch and is (finally) in anti-spew.

If you do not hunt scum, you will be lynched. Period. Always and forever.
We have some very strong personalities in this game, and while I appreciate and value those individual voices, taking it to the personal level, at best, eliminates a lot of the fun of the game. At worst, it prompts people to base reads and game choices off of out-of-game emotion, which definitely runs counter to the overall intent of the game itself.
Please refrain from making personal attacks in your posts.
Well that is a relief. I was Shadow's target last night and we spent the a lot of effort in the chat trying to figure out if Vaimes made sense as scum with AG. And I'd decided he did, so that is a really helpful NK.
Second and most importantly Vote: No Lynch the numbers are strongly in favor of this line of action. AG and Proph need to dance today but no lynch is the right conclusion.
Happiest I've been to be back to the drawing board in a while.
@RE1031 I want to think on that for a while, I spent a decent chunk of the night looking at Vaimes at Shadow's urging. So I think that makes him less likely to be scum. It definitely doesn't rule him out as scum but makes him significantly less likely.

Your first point, that is actually really worrying. Because while Vaimes was probably my strongest town read even yesterday, I am also (reluctantly) town reading you, and I think I would have killed you instead. The reason you are alive is quite possibly for shadow to remain in the general "not willing to lynch" pile.
Also, it saddens me that I actually have no proof this chat even exists. Did you happen to do any urging yourself?

But if Shadow is scum there I think they leave Vaimes alive and push him as the game winning mislynch for toMorrow (since Shadow locked himself in as no lynch today) and shoot Terry or EL instead. I don't know if scum shadow wastes all the effort having me case Vaimes when I will absolutely still reevaluate and look at Shadow if we're final 3. Very confident in not lynching him before we have a scum flip. If he's in a final 3, then by all means take a look, but not till then.
Yeah I did some urging, Shadow had no interest in lynching AG at and I pushed there and on QH and Proph.

Not very much, just regretting that my day 1 read of Shinichi was better than the days that followed.
For the record, I was bluffing about QH. I just wanted the day to be over.
Also, the fact that AG hasn't been here makes me wonder if he even gave out a shot last night (or the phase before, more accurately). But Vaimes dying at least confirms his ability.
Proph needs more pressure, that is for sure. I dearly hope AG is scum.
Conspiracy theory: You, shadow, and Proph are scum. I want need to know why shadow didn't choose someone new.

wut
Walk me through that thought process, cuz when someone spends all Night telling me "this guy's scum" and then that guy dies, my immediate thought is "welp that's a good way to make sure that if I'm the Doctor I didn't heal that guy".
@EternalLurker be careful with your vote. This game has a lynch lock system and I'd be much more comfortable with you unvoting. Walk me through your reasoning there because I don't see that as any more of a plausible wifom option than what I was suggesting. Much less plausible if you ask me. Reasoning: He urges town me as Scum!Shadow to look at Vaimes. I do so and come out with a fair to reasonably strong scum read (and this isn't late in the process) why not use that as the game winning mislynch? If he has me believing Vaimes is scum isn't that much more valuable than the off chance that I'm the doc?
@Terry mixed overall, slight town lean. His reluctance to scum read AG was a huge red flag for me. And I definitely had a few moments where I got paranoid about being pocketed, but overall town vibes.
@RE Fair enough. I actually think this done line up reasonably well to Proph's scum game, but I'm working off a data point of one. So that might not be the best indicator.
And for the record Shadow was given the shot last night so AG was around to some extent. He gave me the pool he was shooting into, but not the exact target.

Re who do you think is most likely to be scum here? What did you look at overnight?
Not very much, just regretting that my day 1 read of Shinichi was better than the days that followed.
For the record, I was bluffing about QH. I just wanted the day to be over.
Also, the fact that AG hasn't been here makes me wonder if he even gave out a shot last night (or the phase before, more accurately). But Vaimes dying at least confirms his ability.
Proph needs more pressure, that is for sure. I dearly hope AG is scum.
Conspiracy theory: You, shadow, and Proph are scum. I
wantneed to know why shadow didn't choose someone new.wut
Walk me through that thought process, cuz when someone spends all Night telling me "this guy's scum" and then that guy dies, my immediate thought is "welp that's a good way to make sure that if I'm the Doctor I didn't heal that guy".
