I guess I'd be more inclined to acquiesce to your request for information on my Arcwind read if I thought you were town, Eco, but I find your approach towards Bur and Arcwind early on just too strange to shake.
Are you scumreading Bur? Are you hard townreading Arcwind? Because otherwise, I just can't fathom why ypu would interfere with Bur's scumhunting process, there.
Yes I am scumreading Bur.
No, I am not hard townread Arcwind. I don't really have a read on him at all (but obviously if Bur is scum Arcwind is very likely to be town).
I think it's kind of funny how you'd intentionally inhibit my scumhunting by withholding information because you feel I interfered with someone else's scumhunting.
I mean I'm town regardless of what you think so considering I think you have no valid reason to be scumreading Bur and every reason to be scumreading Arcwind, I have few qualms with withholding information from somebody I find incredibly likely to be scum by association.
However, I do agree with you that they're unlikely to be on the same scumteam.
Tell you what; I'll humor you next time I have the time to sit at my computer and lay out my thoughts for you.
In the meantime, you should probably be voting for Arcwind.

If you want me to consider your point of view, it would be much more effective to just explain your reasons behind your reads instead of being condescending and arrogant.
To explain the situation in totality:
1)I saw Zomg make a post that could be easily construed as "trying too hard, nervous scum". This makes him a very attractive mislynch target to scum.
2)Bur puts a serious vote Zomg, which I assume is for the reason above, so I vote Bur.
3)Bur drops in a bonus "Eco/Zomg are probably not the team" which is a nice and easy (and completely baseless) statement to make.
4)Bur didn't even think of actually having any justification behind his vote, and was instead just doing it "for reactions" (which is already a poor justification). This means his statement in (3) is even weirder.
5)Despite voting Zomg purely for reactions, Bur completely ignored Zomg's reaction (such as it was in #42), suggesting Bur does not actually care about trying to read Zomg's reactions
6)Despite voting Zomg purely for reactions, Bur shows zero frustration with me for deliberately derailing his attempt to get a useful natural reaction, suggesting Bur does not actually care about trying to read Zomg's reactions.
7)Despite not actually having any problem with Zomg, Bur is happy to leave his vote on Zomg while also having a scummier read on Shockwave.
So in summary, Bur's vote onto Zomg was weak, he didn't actually care about Zomg's reaction, and is quite happy to push the Shockwave wagon without voting for it while currently voting someone he doesn't actually think is scum.
Zomgarcwind, how about some actual analysis? Pretty much everything you've posted has just been summarising events without any indication of what they mean. Who do you think is scum and why?
I think I'll make my par-for-the-course game-winning post tomorrow night after work. I don't have anything going on then so I should be able to find some time for it.

The only reason is because I've forgotten I hadn't unvoted him in the first place.
Unvote
Anyways, right now I'd say either Zomg or Tordeck seem scummier... Though this is mainly due to their lack of contributions. The former is playing a posting restriction game, ala Tomsloger, but not adding much besides recaps, the other watching and waiting... For something.
Though if I'd had to choose, I'd choose Zomg.
Right now though I want him to talk, and it seems we'll be waiting for that. Until then, I'll hold off on voting.

So my initial vote on Arcwind was partially serious and partially for the posting style he was adapting. It reminded me of my Wheel of Mafia posting from Seasons Mafia. That said, the seriousness from my vote also came from his description of his RVS vote. "We have a possible scum already and it looks like the first vote is about to be cast." I realize that the posting style lends itself to be uh, rather verbose, but even still, this feels overly explain-y. The posting style, itself, is also a great way to mask newbscum posting.
Next, we have Bur voting for Eco and Eco snap-voting Bur. I don't like this exchange, partially because Bur comes across as apathetic towards Eco's interference (as Eco noted) and partially because it feels like Eco jumping to defend his newbscum buddy. I'm getting mixed signals, here, but based on more recent posts, it feels more like Eco's Arcwind's buddy. But we'll get to that.
Eco, in #30, pulls a classic scum move - ing while waiting for two players to slapfight at each other and act on whichever looks like the most advantageous route to take. I mean, why would townEco, with all his years of Mafia experience, expect a genuine reaction out of Arcwind for Bur to analyze at this point? And since he knows that Arcwind's reaction is going to be watered down, why would he place the expectancy on Bur to provide reasonable analysis off of the post?
Admittedly, Tordeck's "hurr durr I don't know how to play Mafia" isn't exactly inspiring. ( you, Tordeck.)
We get another post from Arcwind (#42) where he completely discounts Bur's vote against him, and completely fails to provide any analysis whatsoever, nor does he acknowledge my suggestion that my vote on him was serious in any way, shape, or form. It's just busyposting to look like he's doing something.
I don't agree with Eco's assessment that Bur's vote reasoning was transparent. I thought Bur saw what I saw, and was voting accordingly.
@Grimclaw: Hi, Grimclaw! I couldn't help but notice that you haven't really interacted with me, so far, which is a bit of a far cry from the last game we played together. What gives?
That said, I like that Grimclaw is paying attention to what other people are asking and follow-ups accordingly.
@Bur: Hi, Bur! I couldn't help but notice that you state that Shockwave is actively doing nothing, when that's exactly how I would describe Arcwind's posting to this point. How do you reconcile this disparity between your perception and the reality of the situation? Additionally, if you like Arcwind more than Shockwave, why were you voting for Arcwind at this point?
Arcwind posts again in #56, and it's more stuff I don't like. He doesn't give an explanation for his Tordeck vote, picking what feels like the low-hanging fruit, here, to vote. I completely dislike Arcwind's lack of interest in my reason for voting him by this point, considering I clearly stated my vote was serious and was encouraging other people to vote for him at this point. Why is Grimclaw the only person whose opinion he cares about, here?
@Eco: Hi, Eco! I couldn't help but notice that you're riding Bur for his Arcwind stance, but not me for mine. Sure, I hadn't actually provided it to this point, but why would you assume Bur voted for one reason but not that I was voting for the same reason? Especially since I stated that my vote was serious. Relatedly, I'm neither being condescending nor arrogant but I'm sorry you felt I was being such in my post that you address in #64.
Grimclaw, why do you like Eco thus far?
While I agree with Eco's analysis in #67 in a vacuum, I don't agree based on the merit that Eco completely interfered with Bur's process from start to finish, as noted earlier in this post. I don't think Eco's analysis is wholesome or genuine, given the circumstances, and it feels like he attempted to set Bur up from the start. Why Bur? I dunno, probably thought he was an easy target after Bur got run up pretty easily in Mindscrew.
Arcwind again discounts my vote as RVS for his explanation as to why he didn't respond to it, even though Arcwind posted multiple times after I stated my vote was serious. 68 posts into the game and he finally asks why I suspect him after Eco basically coaches him into it. Not to mention, holy *****, where's the analysis, bro?
Eco points out Arcwind's IoA but I don't feel like this is pressure. It's more like Eco prompting a buddy to do something, rather that "hmm this makes me suspicious that you are not actually doing anything". Granted, he did the same thing with Tordeck - but Arcwind is implementing far more verbiage than Tordeck is, so far.
I like Grim's points about Arcwind in #71.
@Shockwave: Hi, Shockwave! I don't have anything to ask you at the moment because you're town, but you should be voting Arcwind with me like a cool kid.
-
And now we're current.
Anyway, I think that Arcwind and Eco are scum, but either could be scum independently of the other, which makes the interaction analysis here a bit tougher. That said, I think it can still be read that way. I think Grimclaw and Shockwave are town, and while I believe that Tordeck would try to get away with active lurking as scum, I think he's having too much fun to be scum right now. Bur is a wildcard, mostly because I felt his reaction to Eco's interference in his scumhunting process was not wholesome, but I'm leaning town on Bur. I think Arcwind/Eco makes the most sense both individually and collectively. If I'm wrong about someone, it's either Bur or Tordeck, but given that we have some wiggle room, I imagine that the electrons will fall into place as the bodies pile up. Either way, I'm not too concerned about it. Shockwave, I feel solid about, as I came out of a game not too long ago (which Eco was also in) where I instantly scumread Shockwave and was correct, and I'm not picking up the scumShock vibes, here. Grimclaw I feel good about for my notes above, and because I'm sooort of getting the vibes I got from him from our last town game together? But he really needs to be a bit more open with his thoughts, I think.
So yeah, that's where I stand. And anyone who isn't voting for Arcwind should be. That guy's all over the place.

The main reason I've focused on bur and not you is that I didn't know your vote was serious when you initially made it, and I wanted to hear why you were voting once you told me it was because there could have been some magical Iso reason behind it. It turns out that your initial vote was based on the language used, which I have no problem with. You've also got more planks to your case, only one of which is the IIoA line. So I'm not riding you for your stance because you have an actual case, didn't initially jump on Zomgarcwind for (what I thought was) the obvious easy mislynch potential reason, and you seem to actually care about putting thought into working out Zomgarcwind's alignment. This is a world away from Bur's position.
I'm still not particularly interested in lynching Zomgarcwind because partially it's too easy, but mostly because Bur looks horrible and Bur & Zomgarcwind are probably not scum buddies. Zomgarcwind has dropped the PR shtick, so I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt to produce some analysis.
Also, much of your case against me relies really heavily on the idea that I'm Zomgarcwind's scumbuddy, bolstered by your perception that I've been coaching him. The fundamental problem with that is that scum have daytalk (yes, they do, it's in the OP, derp clear denied etc), so any coaching I might be doing would be done through there not in thread. And you can be sure that if I was in daychat with Zomgarcwind then I'd have got him to stop the News PR thing he was doing way faster.
Overall, I think you're missing the wood for the trees. You said it yourself: Bur is suspicious, my analysis was good, and you haven't seen anything town from him, but you've convinced yourself that I'm Zomgarcwind's buddy so you're just glossing over how bad Bur looks. Don't just ignore the cognitive dissonance and look at Bur through a lens that isn't "Eco is scum so Bur must be town".
As for you and Bur, the first few posts just strike me as....unnatural. Like I RVS vote bur, well maybe not 100% RVS, i kinda voted him because he is running my other game and that makes me suspicious of him as he knows my alignment in that game and im not playing the same way in both games and as a new player dont want him to try and make meta guesses. For the exact same reason im suspicious of Proph in my other game.
Anyways he semi-seriously votes me and you come right in behind him and vote him. Kind of made me feel like you could be scum trying to secure a harder to read ally early on in the game as a shield knowing i would draw attention. Then he explains that he doesnt feel we are scum, but doesnt move his vote from me at that time, which tells me that he is pushing the Zomg is scum agenda and subliminally telling everyone your not scum.
TLDR: Not enough to vote on either of you, but enough to keep my vote on tordeck
So your reason for thinking Bur and I might be scum is that...we're buddies and we're simultaneously distancing while also trying to read each other as Town? If you think we're on a team together, how is voting Tordeck even nearly a sensible thing to do?
But wait, in #93 you just literally said me and Bur weren't on the same team together. What.
IMPORTANTLY Don't Talk About Ongoing Games. At all. Just Don't. Ever. Stop It.
Iso: I forgot to say, I agree with you on Tordeck (unlikely to be scum because he's just not contributing, not trying to disguise it) and Grimclaw (looks like he is actually trying to figure things out. I don't agree with you about Shockwave thought, he's second on my list behind Bur: I think his brand of active lurking has been the worst (a lot of "gosh this is exciting" without much substance, a any analysis he has produced has been very waffly and indecisive. For example, see #87 where he considers two people scummy (both for not adding content), and even prefers one, but doesn't put a vote down and leaves the door open to not commit. He's not trying to work things out, he's trying to find safe, consensus wagons to support.
Everyone else: We don't actually have all that much time left. The three people not voting (and Bur because his is still from RVS!) need to put down a vote right now so we can work out who is actually on the table to lynch toDay.

I would like it you stopped misrepping me.
I voted zomg in order to test if I would get any reacions out of him. I chose zomg only since he seems like inexperienced enough to not know the reaction test (since I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work on more experienced players like Iso).
Then you come in and instantly vote me for voting zomg. This made me think "This is looks like a study book example of chainsaw defense" -> "If Eco and zomg were scum together, why would Eco so obviously try to chainsaw defend his partner in page 1?" -> "Can't really find any reason for Eco to do so" -> "Eco and zomg probably aren't scum together"
Sure, I didn't really do anything with zomg non-existent reaction, but it really didn't bother that much, since I got something else instead: a reaction out of you.
Also, please do tell me: Why is voting someone for reactions a poor reason to vote someone?
@Shock (#87): IF you want to hear zomg's opinions, why not do something about it? Ask him some questions instead of just "I kinda don't like zomg, but I'm going to do nothing and wait for him to do something".
@Iso (#89): I'm not sure if I can put it into words properly. Zomg's posts feel trying-to-be-funny and don't have content, while Shock's words feel truly hollow.
Now, that's all for the standing questions... Going to do some ISOing...

Also, before I forget:
@Iso: Why do you think that Eco/zomg could be scum together? Why would Eco jump in and chainsaw defend his buddy so boldly? Considering that he's a very experienced player like you, I really doubt that he'd do something so bold and daring as scum...
Then for the ISO's.
Zomg:
While zomg's been quite useless, I really doubt he's scum with Eco due to blatant "LOOK GUYS, DID I ALREADY MENTION ECO MIGHT BE BUDDYING WITH ME!!"-ing.
(#56: "Eco comes to my rescue quoting away at Bur and Iso" is not a quote I'd expect even a newbie!scum to make about their partner.
#95: @Eco: "Kind of made me feel like you could be scum trying to secure a harder to read ally early on in the game as a shield knowing i would draw attention." This kind of blatant "look, Eco's buddying with me" interaction is doubtfully between two scum partners.
Also, #93: Not really fan of this "@Iso: In a world where i am Scum!zomg who is my most likely scum buddy and who is my least likely scum buddy? Answering that will tell me if I want to give you any more of my time on your accusation", considering that Iso explained in #89 why he thinks Eco/zomg is the scumteam.
@zomg (#93): Why does Iso need to tell you who he thinks your scum buddy is before you'll answer his accusations?
-----
Grimclaw:
Grim hasn't really taken much strong stances in this game, but his posts feel natural. I'm okay with Grim, though I would like to hear more of his opinions on the game state and have him interact more with people.
-----
Tordeck
He's playing this game the same way he take's care of his Mafia Secretary duties - by being useless.
@Iso: Why are you town reading Tordeck for openly being useless? Why do you think that scum can't be openly useless?
-----
Shockwave
Out of the all useless posters, his posts feel the worst. #34 expecially feels really hollow and overexplained. And so does his #38. #41 feels more "asking questions for the sake of asking questions" instead of being really curious about what Tordeck thinks about the game state. And #87 is just a huge "I wanna do something but I can't since excuses". If Shock flips scum, I'd take a closer look at zomg and Tordeck, since Shock's interactions with both of them feel... forced? Useless?
-----
Iso
Even though I can't understand Iso's logic behind Eco/zomg scumteam, but his posts feel good otherwise. I like that he has paid attention to details.
I'll post my notes on Eco tomorrow, but I really need to sleep now guys.

Voting someone "for reactions" is a poor reason because it's easy and meaningless. It is acceptable if you actually analyse the reaction and discuss what you were looking for, and what kind of reaction town vs scum would have had in that situation. Just voting someone to see what happens is pointless, because scum don't tend to just roll over and die when they get a vote (especially not 11 hours into a game). It's even worse in this case because there was an actual reason to vote Zomgarcwind which suggests you weren't even trying to interpret his posts at all.
I'd go with yes please here, because we've got two players promising notes at the 11th hour, and Shockwave just crossed over into "needs to be prodded" territory.
@Eco: So, I'd be on board with lynching Bur if Arcwind somehow flipped town, but presently, I'm more interested in Arcwind dying than Bur. And while I agree that most of your coaching to Arcwind would be occurring in scumchat, it would also look terrible for you if you didn't interact with Arcwind at all while he was derping, so I think the interaction that you did have looks a lot more organic than you ignoring him, on top of the fact that you're not a bad scum player, which means I expect you to not play poorly as scum, if that makes sense.

What details do you like that I've paid attention to?
Why do you think an experienced player wouldn't think he could get away with chainsaw defending his newbscum buddy?
Eco, I haven't forgotten about you; fret not!
1) There were some stuff that's obvious now that you mentioned it but I didn't notice before you said it. Stuff like this:
Eco, in #30, pulls a classic scum move - ing while waiting for two players to slapfight at each other and act on whichever looks like the most advantageous route to take. 2) The way Eco did it was so bold that if Arc flips scum, it'd look really bad on him. It's not about generally chainsawing, but linking himself to visibly to zomg that bothers me.
Did you read my previous post where I said why I think Eco/zomg is not scumteam? (i.e. Constant and blatant buddying)
Also, please do tell me: Why is voting someone for reactions a poor reason to vote someone?

I understand your position on Bur at least, even though I disagree. What do you think about Zomgarcwind's reads here? I find it really hard to see something so left field as an Eco/Bur scum team coming from scum trying to save themselves here, because not only is it really weird, it flies right in the face of his main accuser.
Also, it's kind of weird how you say you expect me to play well as scum, but you're also suggesting I leapt in to defend my scumbuddy from what was barely a step up from a random vote. Correct procedure would have simply been to ignore it. We can play the game of "I would actually have done X if I were scum" for as long as you want, but it's so soaked in wine there's not much point.

Well yeah, if you were genuinely looking to get and interpret a reaction you should have analysed it even if it was tainted. But if you were actually interested in a reaction, you'd have actually said something about how I ruined your plan. If you have some pertinent information (and a justification for your scummy vote certainly counts) then you should obviously just tell us without having to be asked. Of course, the fact that you're only bringing it up now after I told you that you should have done it already doesn't really help your situation.

"Gosh I'm at a loss I'm going to do nothing" isn't a playstyle. How else do you expect to win the game except by scumthunting?

2) Confused at the hate. This seems interesting. You're paying attention to it, but don't know why. Two guesses?

Anyways, right now I'd say either Zomg or Tordeck seem scummier... Though this is mainly due to their lack of contributions. The former is playing a posting restriction game, ala Tomsloger, but not adding much besides recaps, the other watching and waiting... For something.
Though if I'd had to choose, I'd choose Zomg.

At all. Just Don't. Ever. Stop It.

I can extend it if you guys deem it necessary.
@Iso & Eco: The reason I did not move my vote was that I simple forgot to do so.

Why do you think an experienced player wouldn't think he could get away with chainsaw defending his newbscum buddy?
