I'm interested in the continued failure of the mafia and werewolves to pick separate kill targets. I guess the werewolves really did think I gave a gift to Axel, which may be the first time I've managed to pull off a cunning plan unintentionally. But the fact that my gift recipients aren't actually killing anyone either worries me.
Dota and Nacho, what did you two do last night?
Nachos said he would target Imab, so I targeted Antny.
I've got Zionite's gift which makes me immune to mafia kills. I still have no idea why the werewolves aren't killing me. Maybe they really think I'm mafia. My best guess is they were afraid Axel received my gift and might use it well. Which also doesn't make much sense if you think about it, but I'm having a hard time explaining pretty much anything the werewolves are doing at this point.
To the other person with a Xyre gift: if GJ flips werewolf, I'd like to take the shot at someone non-IMAB, meaning you should shoot IMAB. If GJ flips Mafia or town, I'll be shooting at IMAB so you may shoot wherever. This should prevent us from doubling up/confirm IMAB as town even in the event I am shot.
GJ didn't flip, so Nachos should have targeted IMAB according to what he said here. That's why I was asking about "blocking" Antny yesterDay:
No, Dota, but if your ability was successful, Antny would be dead. So either I'm wrong about him, or I'm wrong about you, or both. And I don't know which is more likely.
The possibilities seem to be like so:
- Antny is a werewolf with Dota. Seems unlikely even before you consider their interactions.
- Antny is a werewolf, and Dota is town/mafia. Unless Antny was protected somehow by someone who hasn't claimed to be a protective role (i.e. if GJ is actually a scum doctor somehow), this seems to be impossible. The only way this could work from a tactical level is if somehow Dota is mafia who wants to protect a werewolf because he figures a "joint win" is preferable right now, but that seems like an even more bizarre move than Dota and Antny being werewolf-buddies.
- Antny is town/mafia, and Dota is a werewolf. Plausible. I don't think I'd target Antny if I were were-Dota, myself, but I can understand what might have led him to that choice.
- Antny and Dota are both town/mafia. Obviously neither proven nor disproven. But again, it seems unlikely they're scum buddies together at this point.
Pretty much all that does is throw a spanner into my theory that IMAB and Antny are the werewolves.
Gun to my head, if I had to pick one of Etr and Dota to be scum, I'd say it's Etr. At the end of the day, I still just can't believe the whole "jailer-or-roleblocker" thing wasn't an honest mistake. Whereas we've reached the point where I have to start questioning my assumptions, and the OB-couldn't-be-scum assumption is on that list.
Anyway, I want a thorough accounting from GJ and night results from Nacho and Etr before I decide on a course of action.
If I'm right about the setup and there are 3 per team, a mislynch loses us the game unless each scum team manages to kill an opposing teams player overnight. If we haven't lost the game after lynching me (seems inevitable at this point), keep the following in mind:
If Nachos is town, why has he not eaten a night kill yet? My understanding is that scum would generally night kill any player that is confirmed town or is widely believed to be town. There are two scenarios I can imagine in which it's beneficial to them to keep him alive.
1)He has scum from both teams on his pardon list
2)He's scum and has a member of the opposing team on his pardon list.
I'm not saying we should lynch Nachos, just that we (and especially he) should think about it. There must be a reason he hasn't been killed yet. If the game is still going toMorrow, look at TappingStones and Seppel. The former has been on the pardon list for the majority of the game despite a number of people wanting him lynched, and the latter has a reasonable post count but what has he actually contributed to the game?
I'm out. Lynch me if you must, I look forward to everyone yelling at me after the game for being responsible for scum winning.
Except what matters is that you needed to share your thought process.
I was more interested in dota. Your behavior on a quick re-read was more me losing my temper at you tainting my opinion. I decided to try dota instead, and figured you would be solved eventually.
I targeted Xyre last night. With me on Nacho, figured he was safe, and like you said, I am surprised we are both alive. The only two reasons I could see would be 1). Both teams thought the other would kill me. 2). With me being the lynch, I wouldn't be worth night killing, but there was no reason to risk dying.
No. Like I've said before, my gift gives the recipient a one-shot ability which targets a player and, if the target is a werewolf, kills them. Only Zionite's gift protects against (mafia) kills.
Oh, you mean in another world (January 1st). Completely forgot about our little talk. To be fair, you did try to lynch me and it shouldn't have been relevant.
Oh, you mean in another world (January 1st). Completely forgot about our little talk. To be fair, you did try to lynch me and it shouldn't have been relevant.
Except you did think it would be relevant, because you thought you or I would die. And I don't get why me trying to lynch you is at all pertinent, because apparently that didn't stop you from protecting me.
Yeah, I don't believe you. I think it's very convenient that you've just managed to avoid protecting anyone who's being killed, and that you've twice now managed to avoid picking the best person to protect (Zionite and Axelrod) for that night. Instead, you've twice now protected someone whom you knew already was safe from at least one faction's kill thanks to Zionite's gift, which seems like the worst possible use for your ability.
The only plausible explanation for all these errors is that you're scum. Maybe you're a protective role, maybe you're not. But it's time to rectify the mistake I made yesterday.
Trying to lynch me = I wasn't thinking about what was said 2 years ago on the 3rd of November.
What point are you trying to prove dude? I should be dead, and the only thing that baffles me more than that was the fact that neither team attempted a kill on you.
Of course you don't believe me. I think it's super convenient that no one thought to kill you. I don't know what kind of drugs the mafia teams are on, but clearly neither team is thinking. How the **** do both teams end up on Axel? Short of last night, he did literally nothing for most of the game. A few words now and again, but straight up nothing.
Also, please explain how I knew Nacho was protected from Zionite's gift? I couldn't tell you what it was. My assumption would have been either a cop shot (for mafia) or a vig shot (for mafia). That seemed to be the theme we were getting. I targeted the stronger town players I had, the way any sane protective role should be used. Get your head in the game, and realize your townie champion isn't actually town.
It's moot at this point thanks to EtR, but for what it's worth, I've repeatedly said what Zionite's ability did. If you honestly gave it no thought in choosing your targets, then you've been misplaying your role and I'll feel a bit less sorry if it turns out EtR is fooling us.
We definitely should not end the day before Nachomamma shows up and tells me what he did.

I really hope this confirms etr and I can admit I was wrong about him.
Quickly, I'd like to know everyone's best guess on what the number's are for remaining scum teams? If it's still 2 and 2 it seems very unlikely that we can win. Is 1-2 or 1-1 at all likely?

I'll hammer myself if everyone has said what they need to said. I don't think I will convince a group of people who wanted to lynch me to get the liar first. Even if we assume max numbers, there will still be 7 people tomorrow, and 2 on each side. Town will still control the game.

Explain how we could possibly lose here? Both teams 4 scum each?
There's no way we lost yet. In fact, the scum are pretty screwed. The mafia can't kill like 30% of the people in the game and the wolves are picking terrible targets.

Because then we enter the uncomfortable situation where either you're lying and scum, or Antny's not a werewolf, which means who knows who is.

I dont think Seppel is having a change of heart. He hasn't put forward cases against anyone. He's more or less randomly throwing out names.

After all that, we need to lynch DoTA today. He's been messing with us. I will not accept any other lynch.
