I mean, Wildfire already said this, but once you realize that Proph is voting for the guy who voted for the Mod. then his post pretty much makes perfect sense and is not, in fact, contradictory. I'm not saying I think voting for the Mod. is like a super tell or anything, but it's fine as an early "non RVS" vote.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
You are townifying him without him explaining. And no, you didnt say you "had your eye out" you town cleared him and after i pointed out the flaw in your reasoning, THEN you say you are still watching him...
Proph or KA lynch today will be fine with ne.
Um.. or he is scum playing his town meta.... bro do you even mafia?
Why the quick change in heart? He hasn't even said why he voted KA yet... So how exactly is this in line with town!proph when there hasn't been an explanation yet?
You are putting town reason in his vote after you stated that his opening post wasn't town. You can't nullify one in lieu of the other. Is his first post in character or not??
Here it seem like there was a lot more reasoning for your prophylaxis vote.. but just because one changes (I.e his vote on KA being in line with town!prophylaxis) everything else is null and void?
I am not liking you too much either
I was about to ask him why he voted Kamikaze when I realized what Kami had actually done.
Proph loves catching people on screwing up RVS by voting non-entities (like the mod). That means that he wasn't so much raring to get out of RVS as he had actually picked up on something. Also makes his play following that post make more sense, seems less like stumbling.
As I said, I still have my eye on him because of the whole "I'm Town!" thing and the fact that he's totally aware of his meta so feasibly *could* be playing to it, but I'm feeling a lot better about him than I was before realizing the entirety of the situation.

@Void RE post 47: I'll try to answer, but to be perfectly honest, I can't even remember the last time I played with Axel (if at all,) and the last time I played with DJ and Proph in any length, it was in Tales of Xymande.
As for Proph's playstyle. Him and I actually have had a talk about this in the past. As Kami pointed out, he can get overeager. While this can be good, this does lead him to having what is best described as "His Big slip." It usually comes from him overreaching on an argument. As town, he is less likely to have one big slip, but rather several smaller slips. As scum though, it is usually pretty bag, as he is trying to play into his town meta.
Using an example: In Tales of Xymande, we were at a point in Day 1 where two neighbors were out in a three neighbor pair. I forget who made the suggestion exactly (May have been me actually,) that the third person would be best to claim. At this point Proph, in full aggro mode, snapped at this person in a very defensive tone. That pretty much led me to narrow him down to either being the neighbor, or scum not wanting to have that info out. I was sadly not able to follow through on this as I was under pressure for taking a very controversial position of both the top scum suspects actually being town (Of which I was proven right.) On top of that, myself and proph had to be replaced out as we fell victim to the new OM system on changeover to Curse.
As for DJ, well it has been nearly a year, so things could have changed, but at the time he was very much more of a newbie than anything. It always felt like he was taking stances that he himself was not fully aware of the reasoning of. This obviously led him to be a massive mislynch target. Things may have changed since then though as it has been since February. I still feel though that he is likely to be targeted as a mislynch target given his relative inexperience compared to most of the players in the game.
As for Axel, again can't even remember the last time I played with him, and it is very likely it is well past a year and a half. In which case any playstyle observations I may have on him would likely be old anyway.
@Cyan and Dking: Your votes are bad and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
@Rodemy RE 76: Then why even bring up DJ in the first place? It seems unfair at best to go after one of the weakest players for not voting at all 1st post when others did the same.
I was going to respond to Karn's points, but I think one question will suffice.
@Karn
How are any of the points you listed indicative of a scum mindset? Essentially, what I'm trying to do in those points fall under the umbrella of "explaining my thought process + mindset, and try to be as transparent as possible" but you're just listing three isolated aspects of it and calling me scum over it.
@Cythare
Can you explain what you dislike about my "overexplaining" response to Tanarin, and can you answer the second portion of that post? You said it's pretty "barf" but you never actually answered the question.
Quote from Rodemy »
Why didnt you explain why you voted him when you had just said you had nothing?
I didn't explain why I voted him because I was hoping for a reaction.

Karn is town
Unvote, Vote: Prophylaxis
Why? Of all the people hopping on my wagon, this is by far the weakest.
-----
I want Tanarin to explain more rather than dismissing the votes on his wagon with "your votes are bad, and you should feel bad" which doesn't tell me squat.
I want dkings and Void to weigh on my wagon and what their read on me is. I also want Wheat to at least provide some reasoning - his votes/unvotes and statements are inexplicable to me.
KamikazeArchon and to a lesser extent Cythare are my current scumreads. KamikazeArchon because he voted for the mod and presented reasoning for his RVS I find more characteristic of scum (He said "duh", which reminds me of iRebel's RVS vote in MTGS Mafia with "#reasons"). When pressured, he gave off a weak "Why are you so aggro?" and when I answered it, he OMGUS'd me. More votes on KamikazeArchon please.
Cythare because he's weirdly flat-footed around my wagon. I mean, he explained it in #67, but I'm still not sure why he would be gun-shy to put a vote on someone he thinks is scum when I only had three votes on me before that.
I have no real strong townreads yet, but I'm not exactly sure if Wildfire would awkwardly backpedal off my wagon as scum.
Natirasha's interpretation of my thought process is on-point, though he's going to be tricky to read, I know.
@Proph: I'm bothered by you stating you were town over and over but I wanted to see how you'd respond if I didn't tell you. I didn't get much in the way of results though.
@Proph: I hardly call 4 hours RVS going on for a while. Hell, not even everyone has checked in by my count. I can certainly see why you voted him (He voted for the mod as opposed to a player,) but it seems you are trying to over explain your reasoning.
@Rodemy: Why go after DJ for his lack of vote in his 1st post? Proph and Axel also did the same thing. Axel still has not voted last I checked. If you were truly concerned about a non vote 1st post, I would think you would have gone after them as well. Yet, you chose to only go after Proph for his Kami vote and not his 1st post and totally ignored Axel.
Vote Rodemy
I see you going after low hanging fruit here. Rodemy's Towniness is shinning brighter than any star inside our solar system. From his frustration to his lack of commenting on other things going on. So what if Rodemy didn't acknowledge Axel or DJ. So what if Rodemy voted Proph for his vote on Kami and not Proph's non vote. Neither of those point to someone being Scumfirmed. However, you treat Rodemy like he is Scumfirmed without much consideration of what else could be going on.
I'm not liking Hookerpunch at the moment. Something about his posts is making me think he is Scum, but it's pure gut at this point.

Leaning Town because of your opening posts and aggressive play thus far.
I know your game is better than DJ's, but probably not as good as Axel. I was trying to get a feel from Tanarin about how he placed the three of you together, but already knew my opinions are accurate. Rodemy placed a vote that didn't mean much and I wanted to see how far Tanarin would take my question and try to run with it. The explanation given of the play styles showed that Tanarin didn't care so much about the vote from Rodemy, but more about trying to pin bad play on Rodemy. IMO, Rodemy might be intimidated by Axel hence why he wouldn't want to vote for Axel. DJ is a big wild card. I've seen him do well and I've seen him completely fumble the ball (Damn you Kapernick!!!). I see Rodemy choosing to vote you because he is simply more comfortable with you and knew that he could interact with you more safely than the other two. inb4 WIFOM, but I don't see Rodemy making that move as Scum.
I'm back and weighing in on events as they happened:
I feel proph's early self town proclamations are in line with his vote for Kamikaze in #29, which imo looks like a bait for reactions.
#31 Rodemy took the bait
#41 Tanarin votes Rodemy, which looks like low hanging fruit. Interestingly calls proph out on overexplaining his reasoning, which could be taken as coaching.

I want dkings and Void to weigh on my wagon and what their read on me is.

I have you as a light town read. Quite frankly, you know better than to bring that kind of attention to yourself that early if you're scum. Also, the statement in 33 that RVS had been going on for a while when the game had literally started about four hours earlier was so blatantly wrong that I can't see scum making it.
Overall, I don't think Proph lynch is correct at this point in time. He's a *great* town player, and if he's scum, he'll make that known pretty easily through lurking, which is something he can't manage to avoid doing even when he's painfully aware of how it gets him caught. Take a look at Celestial, where he says as much in scumchat and then lurks to the point where I track him N2 and N3.

It feels forced to me. I don't know if that's because you're scum and trying to find a way to look town or if the effort to overexplain is forced in and of itself. After reviewing, though, I've started to lean towards the former.
Cythare because he's weirdly flat-footed around my wagon. I mean, he explained it in #67, but I'm still not sure why he would be gun-shy to put a vote on someone he thinks is scum when I only had three votes on me before that.
See above. I couldn't decide if I thought you were scum. I'm open to voting someone I think is scum but am not sure on, but that's not where I was on you - I was split on what I thought your alignment is.
The degree of your questions is also something that I recall sticking out to me in Celestial. You ask a lot of questions and skimp on your own delivery, and that's how it's feeling to me now. Specifically things like this:
Overall, I don't think Proph lynch is correct at this point in time. But if you are scum with him, that would be a great thing to remind everybody of so it throws us off. Also stops one of your scumbuddies from getting lynched d1.
Ill stay on proph for now. Killjoeys pbp seems very shadowy of everyone elses opinions so far. Nothing original really. I just felt like i had already heard someone else say what he did.

God, these wagons are weird.
On which note, I need to look at everyone else again. Megiddo feels like regular Megiddo for now. Not liking Cythare's lack of content, though. Deathjoey's last post seems good. Further updates as events warrant.
How?
Why do you think it's good?

#134 @Cyan - My mistake, Looking back, I seem to have confused you for Cythare's #67
#66 @Cythare - For what reason did you Unvote Tanarin?
Where do you stand on proph? You start off with an attack on proph's play, only to back off and defend it with a meta null read?
No.
(I'm being 100% serious, by the way.)

nvm, reading is tech.
Is it just because you're lazy?
Vote Prophylaxis
Draft my cube! (630 cards)
Draft my cube! (630 cards)
