DCIII, I actually mentioned in my mentor chat that I had only glossed over the lengthy back and forth between you and TK and that I needed to re-read it to get a better grip on both of you, but then it ended up being inconsequential!
Yeah, and very good job, ETR! I asked ETR like 40 questions out of the gate (probably should have used a mentor) and he was super prompt with his responses.
DK, read your mentor chat (helpful stuff in there)... I feel bad that that really was a slip up early on (nice cover with bullet proof later, I believed it was the plan all along!). I really thought it seemed like you were trying to seem like you made a mistake.
@ Seppel - why the soft claims to begin with? Was it just a way to get people talking so you could read what they were doing or were you thinking you could figure something out through the flavor?
As soon as someone mentioned that Eron said that we shouldn't flavorgame (and because I was a VT turtle), I immediately flavorgamed that there were 3 town turtles and 1 scum with a turtle falseclaim.
From there it was a matter of reading reactions to find out whose concerns were legit and whose were garbage.
Also - the other thing that was throwing me was how you were all over RR and then completely got off of him without ever saying why. And when I asked why my logic for voting RR was bad, you repeatedly just re-stated the same thing without answering my question.
RR's early game was awful and his breadcrumbing was bad. But I couldn't find any malicious intent in it.
Also I was unconvinced by the big case on RR. The case was factual, but none of it felt like solid scum behavior.
I had you and Rodemy as strong town reads for most of the game but those things made me a little worried. I even read through a lot of your games over the Night, including King Arthur where you stated that if you ever end game the Mafia usually wins because either you're scum or you haven't done your job well enough as town... so that didn't help my paranoia, haha. If Haiiro or TK hadn't been right, I would have been full blown concerned!
Anyone got advice for me? Lord knows I probably need it.
Things I did well, things I didn't?
Anything?
So I'm sure I'm not the best person to give advice but I can share why I thought you were scum early, and were probably scum later until DK CCed Asenion:
I was clearly wrong about DK's mistake - I really thought it wasn't an actual mistake but, either way, you seemed pretty quick to absolve him off of the bat and then you changed that stance almost 180 pretty quickly. To me, it looked like you were trying to clear him and then when he drew some scrutiny, you decided to change yours. When questioned about it, especially the quote that Karn quoted, I didn't think your answers jived.
So that was early game.
Later game you kept making comments that either made it seem like you had insider information or didn't seem like comments town would make like when you implied that if I didn't vig someone N1 that would prove I wasn't the vig - I thought you might know I was going to get role blocked. When you were pushing to be lynched over shot, I didn't see why town would actually care about that but I could see why scum might.
I also didn't see where you did a lot of hunting on your own over the game (although now that seems more in reaction to being such a heavy suspect)... but your main reads were DK and me... and I was being very outspoken against you so I made sense as a target. There was a quote somewhere where Seppel told you that he was glad you were still scum hunting, and reading your quote I didn't think you were still scum hunting... so I even viewed that as possible coaching (though I wasn't willing to give into my Seppel paranoia unless our common target suspects Haiiro and TK were proven innocent).
I never fully got off of you and you were pretty much in my top 3 suspects from the time I initially voted you until DK CCed Asenion.
Again, take that with a grain of salt, but that's what I was seeing as a new player.

I enjoyed your flavor stories, very funny and well written. You did a great job all around!

Games usually end fast when I'm right.
Breadcrumb better. Ask more questions before taking bizarre stances.

I wouldn't call it lucky because Seppel read the situation correctly... but if Seppel wasn't in the game, it's probable you'd have been lynched.
Which is another reason Seppel was MVP of this one, IMO.
