Even on MS some people dispute this, but vigs are THE most powerful common town role.
No they're not... nice try scum. A cop targeting the wrong player doesn't help anyone. A vig targeting the wrong player helps scum.
Please stop making up stuff about MS.
A vig targeting scum is vastly more powerful than a cop targeting scum and a vig still accomplishes something the night they die and a vig is provable and a vig who puts town from evens to odds isn't helping scum even if they shoot town.
Certainly not more common than doctor. Poisoners are rare. Definitely more important though.
Like I said, I've seen poisoner once and I'm pretty sure it was some BS third party role.
You target a player for death, then the next day the player has a believable claims and you can't reverse the death? The next day the player shows up with a cop guilty result and the kill goes through the next night? What kind of BS town role would that be???

You're not even a vig. Anyway. Let the scum deal with you.
I'm sure as heck not going to doc-protect you, that's what a townie from MS thinks about your poisoner claim.
I agree that Vigs are the most powerful town role. Or at least more powerful than a Cop.
@llama: The mention of you spending your nights out late seemed ominous in my flavor, which is why I'm sorta hung up on this. I obviously can't quote it - I've paraphrased it as closely as it will get paraphrased.

So...to summarize follow up events. Iso clarifies that he is not, in fact, counter-claiming llamarble. He just completely thinks that Llamarble is scum based on role flavor. And apparently said role flavor is not particularly concrete. Llamarble then partakes in an exercise where he helps Iso legitimize/make sense of this belief.
Honestly, what is going on this game? We're like 6 hours from deadline, and there is almost no solidity as far as whom we should be lynching.
Everyone is unvoting Iso, but somehow they are not voting Llamarble instead. This makes zero sense. If you believe that Iso is town, you should clearly be voting the person that he flatly stated is scum.

Regardless of prior read, that was vote-worthy, because 1v1.
I found the notion of scum claiming flavor-scum-implication on me bizarre so I tried to figure out wtf. I am still rather confused by the transition from MARBLE IS SCUM BY FLAVOR -> MARBLE HAS NIGHT ACTION by flavor considering I had already claimed to have an action?

Right. You went from initially telling us, when you were getting run up, that you 'won't be getting lynched today', which is an OBVIOUS implication of a power role, to ultimately claiming 'Vanilla'.
Then you tried to call foul on llamarble's role because you thought he was a poisoner detective, and couldn't be bothered to read your own role PM and work out the syntax. And yes, I know that you're blaming that on your phone being crappy. And that's fine. But it seems to me that a reasonable townie would wait to comment on that until they could check, not just throw something out there to try and make a person look worse.
Unrelatedly, that brings up a good point. What IS the syntax for your character + role name? I know mine, and reading it made it abundantly obvious what llamarble meant.
Then you tried to tell us that he must be scum(this is exactly what you said) based on flavor in your role PM, but when you couldn't come up with a believable story, you just hedged your bets and said 'well maybe I'm just reading too much into it'.
Ultimately, behaviorally, the only way you could be scummier is if you posted 'I am scum'. And hey, at least that would be the truth.

Basically, the reason I didn't want to claim because it narrows down the pool of potential PRs.
That I get. It doesn't compute with your "I'll claim and we can move on" mindset, however. Actually having a power role would do that.
So now I'm torn over whether Town!Iso would actually double-gambit (1. that he wouldn't have to claim, 2. that if he did he's screwed) into trying to get himself NKed as a vanilla townie. It's the right play, particularly given how early in the game it occurred and Iso's not lacking in confidence that he could weather the storm. So, I'm going to stick with my initial gut read and say that he would.
I'm also going to be unavailable this evening - impromptu celebration for a friend who got promoted. Therefore, since my vote is unfortunately wasted on Thor, I'm going to put it somewhere relevant.
@Iso - of more worth, how did you go from "my role PM implies you are scum" to "my role PM implies you have a night action" on a player with an openly declared night action?
That seems a pretty solid withdrawl of opinion to the level I do not believe it.
Goofball, a friendly reminder you won't take, but the format of these games precludes a third party.
OK then he's just scum. I'm not protecting scum.
Scum who claimed a very confirmable role that is - unless my sense of this site's balance is off - not in addition to the factional kill.
I personally would consider this stronger logic than the purely setup-based reason why you haven't been hung from a noose of brambles. It would be polite of you to acknowledge it.
The only way that llamarble could be scum is if he is A)brazenly lying about having this ability(if this is the case, it will become clear when he never actually kills anyone) or B)is a neutral(and I don't see how that is possible, given the town WC).
Iso was just grasping at straws, and somehow it seems to be working. And it is making me seethe.

Llamarble, I'm having trouble seeing what you see in KoL and currently hold the belief that we're going easy on Fate because we want him to be town, not because he actually is town. Cyouni still seems like a gorgeous wagon, and I currently am not happy with your DYH scumread. What did you think of his interactions with Cyan?
Sigh. Looking at the vote counts, the claimed Vig and claimed Doc are voting for AF, and are from his site. DYH has also strongly implied a power role and is voting him as well.
And on the flip-side, AF is one of the people voting Iso.
Unvote AF
I'll put it back on soon but I wanted to do a little more reading and pick a final target.
Why are so many people convinced dC is town? All he's done this game is tunnel me for a combination of (reasons he likes to attack people when he's scum) and (he doesn't approve of my playstyle). There's little to no introspection except for "I'm becoming enervated" and "I've forgotten some of my reads." His "I will get marble lynched" crusade was unaffected by me pointing out that everything he was interested in was playstyle related, unaffected by me ramping up toward the end of the day, and unaffected by my claim. Every time I have done something new and interesting, he frames it as a reason I'm scum. Tunnel some dude to look like an intense scumhunter and comment on some other stuff is a popular scumstyle. Bleh.
And Voxxicus hasn't done much of anything except espouse premature townreads on dC, call Nacho scum a bunch, and put a highly questionable vote onto my wagon.
I feel like if I target Voxxicus or dC and DGB's role can interfere with mine, there shall be bad luck and subsequent derp.
If DGB is what she says she is and Iso is town, Iso's initial wagon looks alltownontown.
I guess that's possible.
Dropping DGB / ISO leaves me Voxxicus, DC, Cyouni, DYH as my best scumoptions (well and Fate but we're lynching him).
llamarble at this point really doesn't have any excuse to be targeting anyone but Fate, who appears to be the second choice for enough people. If he hits anyone else, he needs to be lynched tomorrow.
This is silly given the no-SK promise Vi mentioned. If I land my shot, then unless you want to buy scum getting extra NKs (rather extremely heinously strong, and would a mod really do that in game one of a series like this >_>) I'll be confirmed town.
@llamarble: To be clear on something that I'm not sure if you answered or not, is your shot delayed? Or will it kill someone as soon as you target them?

Tiers are just that - tiers, there's not really an order within the colors.
In absence of a CC, I'm writing KoL and Llamarble off as town.
dC is still strong town.
Cyan, Cyouni, Thor and Vierni are lighter town reads - I'm more sure of the MTGS two being town than the MS two, there.
That leaves DYH, Nacho, Fate, and Iso as the plausible scum.
Nacho's play has improved, but my gut still is screaming that he's scum and needs to die.
DYH is a mix of gut, meta and PoE - he hasn't felt like Town!DYH at all this game. Outsiders can compare it to Hobbit Mafia, or Survival Horror. Just seems more conciliatory rather than aggressive.
Fate is largely PoE, with some 'I don't like how he tried to paint himself as doing more than he has' mixed in.
Iso is scum and should die. Wagon analysis on the Llamarble lynch in particular points right at him (with Cyouni being possible, but not especially likely).
Mm.
I'm fine with a Fate lynch, though I'd prefer Iso.
I'd recommend vigging one of Iso, DYH or Nacho.
Now that I'm getting settled in out here, I'll be more active on D2 and onward, NK permitting. Getting flip(s) to work with will help, as well, but I'm pretty sold on the cluster of four listed above as being scum.
