2) Players who may communicate via PM, group, or quicktopic may do so at any time.

1. Effects that affect passive effects.
2. All passive effects
3. Controlling another player's actions
4. Changing the qualities of other actions
5. Losing / gaining actions
6. First strike non-killing actions

4) The number of votes required to lynch any player can never be lower than 1 or higher than the number of living players minus 1.
5) A player dying or leaving the game during the day resets the vote count.
6) Players who post exclusively in lolcats, that smilie-based pidgin English, or some other **** like that will be dealt with accordingly.
Welcome, players, to MTGS Mafia Redux 2. We thank you for choosing to fly with us today and not cracking too many jokes about our name.
We'll be taking off soon, so please make sure all your carry-on weapons are stowed in the overhead containers. Once we've reached cruising altitude, you can stand up, move around, and retrieve the weapons you've stowed so you can begin ruthlessly killing your fellow man.
Be careful retrieving your weapons, as objects may have shifted during flight. In the event that shifting objects may set off any explosive devices you've stowed, feel free to be beaten mercilessly by your fellow players until the plane crashes
Now please: sit back, relax, and confirm by PM.
(And if any references go over your head, please feel free to ask a flight attendant. Er, Xyre.)
There's been a bit of confusion about what exactly this game is about.
If you're confused, here's a link to the setup of the original MTGS Mafia Redux game. (Spoilers, natch.) You'll see roles in that game, like this game, are inspired by games/players on this site, but aren't carbon-copies.
I'll also tell you that every role in this game has one "primary" source game. If you're confused about the flavor of your role, PM me and I'll give you a link/some background.
In the beginning, the world was without form, and void. Complaints were filed with the world's manufacturer's customer service representatives in vain. Some people threatened to return the world, but they realized too late they'd left the receipt light years away, and, well, I guess it's not so bad, is it. It just needs some love.
In time, the world changed. Volcanoes erupted over its surface, creating new land masses. The atmosphere formed, and clouds, who seriously hate volcanoes, unleashed endless rains upon the earth, filling up its oceans. And, slowly, life began.
But the life forms that moved upon this new land were jealous of each other. None of them could definitively say he was the first fish to grow feet. That prick Steve said he even had external reproductive organs, huge ones, but man, **** Steve. Soon, the creatures fell upon each others like animals, which was fitting, because they were in fact animals. But this proved fruitless, and not only because the animals had yet to invent mixed metaphors. While they had evolved feet, they had yet to learn the miracle of hands, and so could do naught but flap about and kick each other in the tail.
Soon, the creatures grew tired of tail-kicking and came together to devise a new solution for killing each other. Then one particularly bright individual stepped forward. "We clearly have found one of us kicking another can't possibly kill him. But what if, instead, a large number - say, more than half - of us got together, circled around one other, and all kicked him in unison? That must surely be more practical!"
The creatures cheered at the inventiveness of the fellow. Then, in unison, they crowded around him and kicked him to death, because there's nothing a crowd hates more than an uppity, know-it-all member.
But he did not die in vain. He left his brethren with two lessons they would carry through time. One, killing people is most efficiently done by committee. And two, lurking is always the best strategy.
Over the course of millions of years, the creatures evolved into humans, who proved no smarter than their forebears. But they retained their ancestral knowledge, despite the efforts of some uppity Greek hobos to convince them that maybe poisoning people you don't like isn't the most stable form of government. A fellow named Jesus Christ preached to all he met that hey, maybe instead of lynching your neighbor, you could love him instead. This continued until Judas Iscariot, who had been turned traitor by the Greedy Merchant the previous night, claimed he had a cop result that Jesus was totally scum, guys, you should go lynch him. And lo, they did, and there was much rejoicing, except by Judas, who hammered himself a day later.
But progress was not all bad. In time, humans learned the Romans were total jerks. Around this time, dramatic irony was invented, and humans decided to use this new invention to lynch the Romans, whom they knew as "Italians", meaning "one who itals". Through the magic of languages, the word "Italian" soon came to be known as "Mafia", or "scum" for short. (Trust me, it's all in the roots.)
Time passed. Monks meticulously studied the works of Christ and his doctrine that thou shalt not drink of the cup in front of thy neighbor. Many of them were subsequently martyered for their heresy, only to claim they were secretly jesters, suckers. Gutenberg's printing press allowed even the most humble peasant to record his claim when he was two votes away from being lynched. And soon, ships took to the sea, to discover new people to whom they might teach this civilized form of government.
One of these explorers was a brave Italian named Aerimano Naies, who sailed with his ships in search of the fountain of extra lives. What he found instead was a small town, established by the natives, that they called in their strange tongue "Mafia Salvation". Upon hearing the name, Naies fell to his knees, for he saw this truly was an omen from God. He had sent His son to find this place, so that His great works could be done. And soon he set to work building a city in this place.
But before he could complete his great work, Naies was lynched by suspicious crew members, who turned out to have been recruited into a Borg cult. And the city was lost to history... until now.
Welcome to Mafia Salvation. Population, twelve. Seven to lynch.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.

Also, did anyone else see something slightly unusual on the sign-up list, like a couple people who were set apart? Or was I just seeing things, because it's not there now.
D_M is nowhere to be found, but loud sounds were coming from AH's room. You pry open the locked door, and find a sight too astonishing to be believed. Kenji is using an oversized golf club to repeatedly bash in AH's head. Of course, most of his head has been splattered all over the room by now, but that hasn't stopped Kenji. He glances over at everyone staring at him in shock, and says, "Hi guys. Nice morning, isn't it?"
[...]
draygn_mage, AKA Marvin, town naysayer, is dead. Kenji is innocent. Honestly.
