I'm working on a 28-player Mortal Kombat game that includes two anti-town factions. I would love some input on design balancing. If anyone interested in looking at it/working on it with me would shoot me a PM, it would be much appreciated!
28 players is way too much. Take a look around, nowadays our games rarely ever go past 18 players.
The WWE Mafia game that just ran was originally set to be a 22 player game which was later reduced to an 18 player game because of this reason. I got lucky replacements didn't run high.
I am currently working on a game based around the Fallout world. I will DEFINITELY need some people to help balance as I'm new, and probably some to help write flavor. (JeY I will likely be bugging you.)
If I don't get any responses from people who would like to help, I will probably send out some PMs to people who I think could/might help me to gauge interest.
Not sure what level it will be at, but probably a Mini, Basic or Normal.
I can put my game from the Throwdown onto the Normal list. Though I have changed it a little since then and will have to bother someone to look over it again..
Anyway, Normals can be high-power, right? If so, someone can slap this in there:
Wu Tang Clan Mafia
High powered. No vanillas. Plenty of flavor.
You must figure out who the backstabbing bastards are amongst you! (Characters and flavor come from/inspired by the Wu Tang Clan and affiliates.)
The cause I see is that Basics are the only type of the main four that can be paired with another type in signups. That, combined with Basics being relatively easy to design, forms a bottleneck in Basics. I still think you should be able to sign up for two games without one of them being a Basic (with some other stipulation).

I'd support this. Perhaps just as simple as "you can be signed up for two different types simultaneously"? Maybe a stipulation that mods shouldn't attempt to run two games simultaneously unless one is a basic?
By the way, I've fleshed out the flavor for my Basic; if this can be added to the OP at next update, that'd be great:

The game is not being dumbed down. Control is doing fine; Draw-Go is not the only kind of control. Aggro is doing fine; Red Deck Wins is not the only kind of aggro. Creature combat is an important core concept and belongs in every color. Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.

I'll add to the parade of folks looking for help today. In honor of the final episode of Futurama, I've created Futurama Mafia. I've created Roles, but I need help balancing.
It's a (presently) 16 player game that probably leans towards Specialty due to some roles that a little whacky and not really in the "Normal" category. If you'd like to help shoot me a PM.
The last episode tonight was awesome, just FYI. Catch the replay.
Add me to the League queue for a 16-player game: Archer Mafia.

Iso, could you pull Marvel 2 for the time being? I'm worried it's over-powered, and I've got to make absolutely sure it's right.
That was not my intention, and I say there's no need for it, just take extra measures by having more reviewers before the game goes live. Just call ZDS for help.

I'll warn you right now that it does fall off a little during season 3, but by the end of season 3 it's back in good form. Definitely a wonderful show -- make sure you pay attention to every tiny little detail in the first season especially -- it all comes back and means more later.
At the risk of getting a warning or something for being off topic, I must stand up for my beliefs as a huge nerd:
Fringe was at one time one of the greatest shows I've ever watched. Season 1 is amazing, and s2's few slip-ups are in my opinion largely due to the fact that
the guy who played Mr. Jones got a job on Mad Men and they had to kill him off, and thereafter drop the supercool ZFT storyline.
(side note: if they killed Jones off before he got that job, the writers were idiots the whole time, because that actor is AMAZING.)
However, Fringe started to suck big time in the second half of season 3, and the s3 finale (and the repercussions through s4) is one of the greatest travesties ever committed by writers on a television show. They took this amazing show and
reset every character such that the arcs they were taking - really believable, interesting, quality character arcs on a sci-fi show! Seriously! People changed, that never happens! - and threw them out the window. The death of William Bell? All meaning lost. Any future deaths? We can just reset the timeline, so why bother? Falling in love? Don't worry, soon we'll get to retread that ground for no reason because we're out of plot ideas. They threw it all away.
Why? Why would they do that?
And don't even me started on the s4 finale. Seriously. Just garbage dumpster potatoes.
I hear s5 got good again, albeit different. I believe it. But I just couldn't keep going after the absolute disaster area that was the s3 finale and s4.
EDIT: And even the second half of s3 they're actually doing something great with the
Peter-Olivia plotline, wherein Olivia actually acts like a complex character and human being instead of just forgiving Peter after an episode of heartfelt thinking about it. What other show would do that? Very few. BUT I GUESS IT DOESN'T MATTER, BECAUSE NONE OF THAT EVER HAPPENED EXCEPT IN PETER'S MEMORY.
Stupid TV shows. I love them so much, but they make me so mad. They play with my emotions. Maybe that's the real sign that a show is worth watching, though. If I once cared about this thing so much that I am to this day so mad about decisions taken later in its run...

I tried to make a 'dual thread' setup work for Fringe, but just couldn't get it to happen. After Eco/TB's dual thread game, I see now that I probably never would have been able to get it to work like I wanted it to.
And I agree with Ged. I completely loved Fringe for the first few seasons. It was my favorite show that I had ever watched for awhile(admittedly Breaking Bad hadn't come out yet). But they just completely butchered it and turned it into nonsense for the last 2ish seasons. /offtopic

I am surprised no mod bastardized it up during the Cyber games that no one came up with a "You may delete one post per day" hacker power or something similar.
I see that someone already did a song of ice and fire game... but I think that has a lot more potential. Someone could do a whole mafia series based in all of the major cities; Winterfell, Iron Islands, Riverrun, Dorn, Casterly Rock, Kings Landing, The Eyrie, High Garden, etc.
Also, similarly, Skyrim and the main cities with Jarls in that game.
Enough major and minor characters in both to have a lot of flavor.

Town Win % = 75%
Mafia Win % = 75%
Overall Win % = 75%
