Hello, please add Banned Mafia, a medium to high complexity magic the gathering flavoured Role-madness-but-otherwise-classic-9/3 setup, fully prepared by me and reviewed by Osie, to the mini list. This setup is 100% good to go at any time.
The Team Mafia event has ended with the following games:
Game 1 (Ecophagy) - The Death of Stalin Mafia - Town Win
Game 2 (Ganderin Dan) - Giant Robot Battle Royale II Mafia - Mafia Win
Game 3 (Silvercrys) - Monster Manual Mafia - Town Win
Please add the following reviewed open setups to the list (all reviewed by Osie and, in some cases, GanDan). In a surprise twist, anyone who's available and wants to can run these if needed; doesn't necessarily have to be me.
Scum Love the King! Open Micro for 7 Players
2x Mafia Goon
5x Town Vanilla
Pre-game, the mafia select a king from among the town. That player is publicly confirmed to be town and gets two votes. If the mafia nightkill the king, they must also select a new king who is similarly confirmed and has two votes starting the next Day.
Watchmen Wanted Open Micro for 7 Players
2x Mafia Goon
1x Town Hyper Watcher (Can't target the same player two Nights in a row.)
4x Town Vanilla
The first time the Hyper Watcher dies, one living Town Vanilla is selected at random to be a Hyper Watcher (the new Watcher can target the same player the previous Watcher targeted the previous Night).
What's Up, Doc? Open Micro for 7 Players
1 Doctor
1 Macho Cop (Protective abilities used on this player won't prevent a kill.)
3 Vanilla Town
1 Mafia Roleblocker
1 Mafia Goon
Who's the New Guy? Open Mini for 12 Players
1x Town Gunsmith (Each Night may target a player to learn if they have a killing ability; returns "no kill" for Clueless Mafia unless the other two mafia are dead.)
1x Town Compulsive Desperado (Each Night MUST target a player; if that player is scum, that player dies; otherwise Desperado dies.)
7x Vanilla Town
1x Clueless Mafia (Knows he's mafia, but doesn't know who the other two are, and can't perform the kill unless the other two mafia are dead.)
1x Mafia Rolecop (Knows who the Clueless Mafia is. Each Night may target a player and learn their role.)
1x Mafia Goon (Knows who the Clueless Mafia is.)
Oh, I forgot to update this; Playstation Battle Royale ended in a Mafia victory.
Tubba Fett, Fuwa, and D_V were replaced; Ganderin_Dan voluntarily replaced out due to outside factors in another game influencing his alignment knowledge of another player. Kpaca and Lastwhisper were modkilled.
Because Bur asked me to add something to the Mini queue:
Game Name: Modern Mafia Size: 12 players Complexity: Medium
The Modern format is fast, brutal, and unforgiving to mistakes. Will the good, fun decks of the Modern format prevail, or will the format degenerate into un-interactive combos and non-games of Magic?

Mafia:
1 SNIPER: Sniper may PM host once per game and say, *I would like to shoot *PLAYERNAME*". That player will die. The sniper WILL NOT BE REVEALED.
1 SPY: Spy may PM host and ask, "Say *MESSAGE* to *PLAYERNAME*" The message will be anonymous, and the recipient can respond.
1 JAILER: Each day, chooses someone to capture during the night. They can talk to the jailed through the host, and the jailed will be protected from kills and will not be able to take actions during that night.
Villagers:
1 PRESIDENT: President will be revealed to all other Villagers at the start of the game. The Mafia will not know who the president is. The President learns how many roles in the town may kill each phase and may suggest a list of targets to the host to be randomly distributed amongst the town players with killing abilities.
1 BODYGUARD: During the night, visits a player. If that player would be killed during that night or the following day, the bodyguard dies instead. CANNOT CHOOSE THE SAME PERSON TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW.
1 VICE PRESIDENT: When the PRESIDENT dies, the Vice President becomes a copy of the President. Once per game, as a night action while Vice President, may propose to a player. If the player accepts, the couple's roles and alignments are revealed to each other.
1 BOMB: When they are shot, they also kill the shooter.
1 TINKERER: Each night, if unvisited, creates a gun and arms themselves with it.
1 APPORTIONER: Each night, you may target a player. If that player would be killed during that night or the following day phase, they survive until the end of the next day phase instead.
1 BULLETPROOF: Can survive being shot once.
1 AGENT: Agent may PM host and ask, "Say *MESSAGE* to *PLAYERNAME*" The message will be anonymous, and the recipient can respond.
1 JAILER: Each day, chooses someone to capture during the night. They can talk to the jailed through the host, and the jailed will be protected from kills and will not be able to take actions during that night.
"Sign me up for a Basic game for 12 players called Hill House Mafia, reviewed by [Proph] and [Arn]." It's inspired by Clue, but includes tons of custom flavour.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
I don't believe there's a real "basic queue," they sort of just fire once there's enough players who want to play one. You could probably run it as a normal without changes though, or cut it down to a mini if that's not too much trouble. Or we could just pencil you in for the next one or something, I don't really know what's going on with basics at the moment to be honest.

Oh, right, it is the same size as a mini. You can run it as mini if you want to, then, or wait until the next basic fires. Main thing I was saying is that the timeframe for the next basic is completely unknown, but we can pencil you in at the top of the basic list if you want.
Reason they aren't combined is because basics are guaranteed to be low complexity while minis can be (almost) anything.
I think just add it to the Mini queue, we've not really run Basics as a seperate thing apart from when we expect new players. @KJ I would recommend trying to find people who would be interested in playing in it right now, since I think a Basic might take a long time to fill.

Would like to gauge interest in another round of palace guards. We played 3 last time iirc. Id host one and then if interest in another round hopefully someone else would host so i could play
1 king - no abilities but Very Important for the survival of the kingdom. Wins if he survives the assassination attempt.
4 Palace Guards - know the identity of the king. no other abilities. Wins if the king survives the assassination attempt.
1 assassin - one kill that can be used at any time, even after their lynch. Wins if he successfully assassinates the king.
Will be balanced by the time it's my turn
