You should visit my heart and tell me why Macius is town.
I really, really doubt that Stardust is scum.
I'm beginning to feel conflicted about Guardman, since his points on Stardust seemed rather reaching. I'm not fond of the idea of lynching him over Asenion today though.
So, to be very frank here, im going through a whole bunch of horrid horrid irl crap. I can still play, but im just saying this to let Iso know that I may have to replace out if things go downhill.
@Iso: If you need reasons on why im saying this, I dont mind giving you a very very brief strip down version.
Anyways, now back to the game:
@Guardsman: What if you do get your wish, and I end up lynched? You essentially spent a whole day tunneling on me, that you could also used to look at other people, even more so considering you wannted me lynched from very early. Seems very off that someone as skilled as you are to essentially ignore others like that.
That's a terrible excuse. Macius is obviously not getting run up right now, so why don't you contribute to one of the two wagons in progress?
Wait, Why the hell does Asenion seem so defending of me? As guardsman pointed out, my play has been very scummy (according to him), so why would you try and buddy to me?
Is it because your scum and you know that if I do get lynched, people may gloss over you since you were defending me?
No Macius, it's because I trust my own reads and you read town to me. I know it's not standard, but I defend people quite a bit when I believe them to be town. For the record though, that post wasn't really defending you. I don't want Guardman to stop pressuring you, I want him to also look at the rest of the game.

Have you ever read the Guardman Mafia ManualTM? I once spent most of a game tunneling on Meggido for similar reasons, if I remember correctly on the reasons (I know he did a bad FoS and some Mudslinging), and people called me crazy then. And you want to know the funny part. I was right. Meggido was scum and if it wasn't for me tunneling and making sure people knew Meggido should be considered scum he might not have been lynched. And the vindication felt sweet.
I see this as a very similar situation. I must beat the fact that you are scum into the town so that they don't forget and let you keep on doing what you're doing.
Plus by keeping on your case and reviewing it I have also found a scumbuddy of yours in Stardust.
I personally think this has been a productive day for me. I have found two people very likely to be scum. Now I just have to convince everyone else that you guys are worthy of a lynch (which always seems to be hard for me).

So your justification for constant tunneling works is that you caught one person with it?
I can tell you right now that im not scum, and that your wasting your time.
But alas, my words mean naught to you.
So your justification for constant tunneling works is that you caught one person with it?
I can tell you right now that im not scum, and that your wasting your time.

Hmm... no, that is just one example. But I also have examples of regrets as well. Such as catching scum day 1 in Boardgame Mafia, but everyone in the game was so convinced by his claim of doctor that he actually won the game for the scum. But if I kept at it like I knew I should I might've been able to win the game for the town if I could convince them to lynch him. But now this is just me waxing nostalgically.
But to make an already too long story short, I believe my tunneling is an asset in any game I am in and a key cornerstone of my playstyle. As such I will keep using it.
@Seppel: We can take care of that later. As long as he shoots generally where we ask him to, I see no reason to kill him Day 1 instead of getting more reads on scum by trying to lynch one.

I am really disliking GMan's recent posting about Macius. Macius is posting in a stream-of-consusicouness style. That style of posting normally comes from a Town player and yet GMan is pushing Macius for this reason. I recently cuaght AlphaInsidious using a line similar to this in FHF Mafia. I copped Alpha because of a specific interaction with Teh JeY where Alpha was claiming that Teg JeY was posting in a stream-of-consciousness, but at the same time was scum hunting Teh JeY. Here is that post:
Oops, missed the bluff calling - actually I thought it was because Lennon never posted still - I checked the entire topic previous to that post 2-3 times and didn't see his name, but he actually had one tiny post so meh. By the time I realized it, I found a much better engage to pursue.
I have to say, your stream of consciousness posting is making it difficult for me to discern what you mean.
But, can you tell me why you would think RobRoy would be voting Lennon simply because he hadn't posted? Was pretty early in the game, and he wasn't the only one with low or no posts.
What I am seeing from GMan is similar to what I saw from Alpha. Except that GMan is not commenting on the stream-of-consciousness posting is pushing Macius for his lynch. I would like to see GMan be lynch for toDay.
These last few posts from EtR feel so sincere, I'm a little afraid of the outcome of this lynch. But in a sense, EtR himself is keeping my vote on him. He's right in saying that we have no other clear suspects. Certainly nobody with a great case made against them. The only thing in the past few posts from EtR that I don't like is him saying that it would be okay if I died, but I think that's just because I don't want to die. I'm not sure what my point really is here, as I've been drinking a bit tonight, but mostly I just wanted to put it out there that the last few posts from EtR are making me a bit nervous.
and the result was the lynch going from EtR (Town) to LoT (scum) on Day 1. Sometimes moving a wagon is the right move to make regardless of the deadline.

I would like to see if I am understanding this correct. Did you just say I am scum for pushing Macius for posting in a stream of consciousness style like AI did in another game, yet I am not commenting on his stream of consciousness style? If this is the case your accusation makes no sense because as you yourself admitted I have not commented on his stream of consciousness style. In fact I have no problem with that style and use it extensively myself.
Also I have clearly shown why I am voting for Macius:
1. A very poor FoS.
2. Triple OMGUS-Mudslinging for the people who jumped on him for it.
3. A self-vote that was a paper-thin attempt at deflecting pressure of himself.
4. While claiming he basically said that he has no defense for his actions.
My recent interaction with Macius has been him more questioning and accusing me about tunneling on him and how I shouldn't do it, while I explain to him why I do tunnel in general.
So I have no idea where you get that I am attacking him for SoC.
Actually I just saw that the mentioned deadline swing on FHF Mafia actually happened 8 days before the deadline, which is a LOT more than the 3 weekend days we have here.
Why are you trying so hard to get swing the lynch onto Guardman, Void? Care to elaborate?
Here's my updated thoughts -- I'll be busy over the weekend (as usual), so depending on when the deadline hits on Monday, I may not get another chance to chime in.
As I see it, there are a couple of options for the lynch:
Asenion. While I tend to read Asenion as being scummy regardless of his alignment, I'm not seeing the mindset here. His interactions have been questionable at points (in particular with TCMT), but I've been reading Asenion as more trying to figure out what's going on as opposed to interacting with scumbuddies or trying to manipulate perceptions.
TCMT. I feel like channeling Guardman and just tunneling while everyone ignores me. I'm unsure of why my case on TCMT has been completely ignored -- perhaps his scumbuddies are deflecting? Either way, I still believe TCMT to be scum, and am on board with a lynch there.
Macius. I'm not happy about the amount of information that has been vomited across this thread. While I'm more torn on Macius's alignment than Guardman is, I do think that there's an argument that could be made for lynching the scummiest person who's claimed toDay, in order to avoid more claims and get us some solid information.
I don't think that there's been enough time and/or development in any other wagon at this point for me to endorse it (note: I also don't endorse the Asenion wagon, if that wasn't clear already). I've been in a couple of games now where the wagon on Day 1 didn't complete until minutes before deadline, so I mean obviously there's time for things to change -- but unless they change by the time I leave for FNM tonight, I likely won't be a part of any new wagons in any meaningful way.

While this could be read as TCMT wanting to call out Asenion's fishing, it could also be interpreted as coaching a scumbuddy, OR as acknowledging that he knows more about the twilight's role in the game that he's telling: potential scum theme, perhaps?
But TMCT's voting patterns in particular are pretty telling and make this a strong case.
Despite skirting the Macius wagon, TCMT claims that he quote-quote "voted" Macius to get his claim in #99. TCMT also then smears Guardman for doing the same thing (albeit it before TCMT, in #97).
Attacks Kosa (who's already at claim range).
Attacks Asenion, reversing his opinion thereof again.
Notes that we should consider his vote on Kosa, but doesn't vote him (Kosa is at L-2).
TCMT then vanishes after Kosa claims Innocent Child / is confirmed town, and hasn't posted in 3 days.
This concludes my case: Unvote; Vote TCMT
Ideally I'd have time to do a proper reread of my own, but that's just not going to happen at this point. Unvote, Vote TMCT.
On Guardman, I can sort of see where he's trying to go with his analysis of my two posts, but the fact that he takes those two as proof without looking at the rest of my posts and more importantly without asking me any questions just makes him look much worse. Guardman, did you look at the rest of my posts? Have you tried to put together a more solid case?
I'm saying that according to Alpha, Teh Jey was posting in a stream-of-consciousness style which typically comes from Town. I thought the post I quoted got this portion across well since Alpha is directly talking about Teh JeY in that post...
I am seeing Macius posting in the same style, but yet you are pushing for his lynch.

So instead you are saying that I should find Macius town because AI thinks SoC is a town tell? Why should I care what AI thinks? He's not even in this game.
As for SoC I put no weight at all on whether or not it has a predisposed town mindset as I think it's neutral. If you do, great. But don't call me scum because you find something a town tell that I don't.
Stardust: I don't have any questions to ask you at this time. Also I didn't reread you in full, but did beyond those two posts. But those two posts really stuck out the most for what I saw and that was a person who was conflicting on what alignment to treat someone who given their stated mindset should be clear.
I believe SoC to be a Town trait. I am seeing SoC in Macius and yet you are pushing for his lynch.
Wait, your telling me to not call you scummy for something that I have caught scum doing? Simply becasue you don't believe it? What horrid reasoning. If this was the case, then everyone would use the defense of "it's not a Town Tell to me so don't calling me scum" and get away with it. What kind of logic is that?

No I am telling you not to call me scummy for calling someone scum you think is town based off of this SoC tell that I don't believe in. I believe SoC is more of a natural post style that a person uses regardless of alignment as certain people are just more predisposed to SoC than others. So I reject that SoC tells anything. And unless you can give me a convincing reasoning on why SoC is a town tell I have every right to wave my hand dismissively and not believe it means anything.
In fact looking back at the quote of AI you quoted I can't even find where he mentions he thinks SoC is a town tell. All he says is he finds it hard to discern what Teh means.
It's like you are throwing oranges at me, yet calling them apples.
I'm saying that according to Alpha, Teh Jey was posting in a stream-of-consciousness style which typically comes from Town. I thought the post I quoted got this portion across well since Alpha is directly talking about Teh JeY in that post...

You have some explaining to do.
Wasn't Teh Jey scum in that game?
I just checked FHF Mafia. Teh Jey was scum in that game.
I felt that Alpha was trying to clear Teh JeY in that game using SoC, but at the same time was scum hunting Teh JeY which was a contradiction in my eyes.
What GMan is doing is slightly different than what occurred in FHF Mafia, but there is still a strong similarity. Macius is posting in a SoC style which is giving me a Town read on him, but yet GMan has been pushing for lynch non-stop. Now that the SoC has been brought forward, GMan is handwaving the case by saying "I don't believe SoC to be a Town trait and you should not call me scum for it."

I... You... Wow...
I don't even know what to comment on anymore. Void you just jumped the shark.
From what I can tell from your series of posts: You came in calling me scum for calling Macius scum for reasons that were enough to get him to L-2 because of a post by AI where he is attacking a scum buddy who is using SoC yet claims it is a town tell, despite the fact that he is doing it to make his scum buddy look good, yet think this is applicable to the situation of me and Macius even though I've never heard of this SoC thing before, nor believe in it, nor even mentioned SoC before in relation to well anything, and you clearly don't think we are scumbuddies, so... this is making my head hurt.
Void at this point I am not even going to explain how wrong and looking back in retrospective a waste of time trying to dispute you on this issue was. I feel a better use of time would be trying to make my sandwich cry.
