This game is moving a lot faster than HTTYD Mafia. I went to work and came back to 40+ new posts.
The main thing that stuck out to me while reading the posts so far was Stardust getting on and staying on the Misting wagon. First, he feels the need to bring up a single game worth of meta to justify his initial vote:
I'll have to check town games when I get some actual free time, but I can confirm that Misting voted for no one during RVS in KotH (no joking around at all there, though).
Still, this feel alright. Vote: Misting
Oh yeah, and /confirm.
And then he feels the need to confirm his vote but avoids commenting on any of the changes to the wagon.
I'm just going to leave my vote where it is for the moment, but hey PG! Are you scum? My big robot wants to beat yours up for some reason.
Stardust, why are you currently voting for Misting (and why were you voting for him at the time of the quote right above)? Also, do you think that similar voting patterns during RVS between KOTH and here indicates that Misting is more likely to also be scum here?
Other than that, I feel like Void is reaching hard to pull scumtells out of what looks like innocuous phrasing in Misting's answers, and I'm having difficulty making heads or tails of anything Yanni is doing.
notice how Iso says Town in Blue. I think that stardust is trying to rush and clear himself early by claiming a color in his role name where there shouldn't be one ( I know mine doesn't have a color before my robot name):
I don't like the idea of lynching on formatting on principle. However I have more to say on this at the end of my post.
@Misting and Wheat: How'd you both miss that I was voting Iso in my first post too? Then again I believe that in every game I've played in whether Iso was or was not in it, modding or involved in any way shape or form, I've always RVS voted Iso on principle.
I missed it because it's not a tell. I'd like to see Misting's answer though.
You guys are ridiculous. My robot is literally blue. The word blue is in my robot's name. Here's a picture and a link and a link. Worst googlers ever... At least AtheistGod knows what the hell is going on.
I'm not sure if those are swords coming out of my back or what, but seriously, check yourself before you wreck yourself. This is one badass female alien mother ****er. I bet all of you are men. Disgusting. Get off my planet.
I know I said I didn't like the idea of lynching over formatting, but now you're defending incorrect formatting. If you were town, you'd have your role PM right there to look at, and you'd know the formatting is incorrect.

Unvote, Vote: Stardust
What the hell are you talking about? Go back and quote my claim, then you can unvote once you realise Yanni is crazy.

The degrees to which this game is now confusing me.
@Yanni, are you claiming double voter, or are you just trolling and I should ignore you?
This whole thing with Stardust seems like a big misunderstanding, and I'm not sure that I'm interested in it at the present. That said, I -am- liking Wheat's proactiveness. It fits with what I've seen from town!Wheat in the past.
Void's been oddly quiet so far.
@Seppel: What's your thoughts on Yanni so far, other than that he's probably high?
Other than that, I feel like Void is reaching hard to pull scumtells out of what looks like innocuous phrasing in Misting's answers, and I'm having difficulty making heads or tails of anything Yanni is doing.
Yanni frequently plays while high, which makes him nearly unreadable due to his inability to keep a game straight in his head. He's a detriment to any town.
seppel's implying I'm town, yet voting for me.

Suggestion for Yanni: separate my sentences into flavour-related or mafia-related. Town doesn't threaten (this is the main reason I don't like Misting, in fact), but as far as flavour goes, I'm just here for the brawl.
As for content, give me some time. I'm still fairly new to this whole "being town" thing, so I'm working with PG and Misting for now (two players I've played with before). I'll broaden my scope as the day progresses.

Hahaha, I knew someone was going to call me on that! Maybe I'm too reckless since I decided not to delete the quotes, but that's just how I talk. I type to emulate my speech.
Anyway, the point is that I've got two completed games as scum and zero completed games as town (KotH was my only town game). Being town is still new to me. The lack of information is a difficult thing to deal with.

Maybe. I don't put much stock in the initial tell, but it was enough to justify making Misting sweat. I haven't liked his answers since. To be honest, I'm nervous about Misting since I had him pegged as a solid townie in KotH, but he was scum there.
This answer feels evasive, you're not directly answering my questions (you skipped the second part entirely), and aren't being specific with what you find suspicious about Misting.
- Why did you feel that you needed to add your vote to "make Misting sweat"? At the time, both Seppel and W_G were already voting him.
- What haven't you liked about his answers since?
- Can you answer the second question in my quote above?

Your explanation is poor. As scum you're still "being town" with your posts. Would you like to try another explantion?

Quickly since I don't have time for a big post right now...
1. Three votes is much more than two.
2. Primarily threatening. His pointing at others during RVS felt like deflecting. His wording feels scummy at times as well. I'll do a better analysis later if you like.
3. I did. "Maybe". He voted no lynch, something that's generally considered scummy. That it lines up with his previous scum play is a bonus, but far from confirmation. I've learned not to trust in meta too much.
@Void: Would I like to try another explanation? No. I told you the truth. Not sure why you're now asking me to lie to you...

The use of "bonus" above reads as if you're happy/pleased to have something extra to peg on Misting. I'm not seeing that attitude as townie.
I was sort of on the fence about Void earlier (Apparently I'm only good at reading him when Iso is there to tell me his alignment), but I'm feeling good about him being town after his last few posts.
I see nothing to make me think Stardust is town in his defense.
Cellion is still very town.
I find myself agreeing with Seppel.
Yanni is making good points but also bad points. He's high and hard to read.
PG is being PG; he's scummy but it's hard to tell if that actually makes him scum or not.
SilverSihhe hasn't been on my radar; a quick check shows he hasn't done anything scummy and has been doing at least a little scumhunting. Therefore probably town.
Misting I keep going back and forth on but I lean more likely town.
There are 3 other people in the game that need to post more.
Were you not being serious with this? Because if he's a detriment to any town, then how is lynching him bad?
@Stardust: I believe Seppel to be town because heaven help us if he's scum. From KotH as well, this looks like town Seppel.

I was serious. Lynching him is bad because he is a townie, and therefore lynching him is not a step toward meeting our win condition.
Seriously though, his play is sporadic and odd, but I know he's been around for awhile, so I trust that the older folks are being honest when they say that's how he plays. He did seem to get more serious though when he started putting pressure on Stardust, which seems more town than scum to me. I feel like the formatting thing is such a weak point that a scum wouldn't have risked going after it.
I have to say that I've not liked Stardust's defenses so far. They've not felt town to me at all.
Just wanted to let everyone know I'm still here and reading. I do like how proactive Wheat is being (and has been from the beginning). I'm still new to this game, so I'm not entirely sure what to think about Stardust and Misting.
Stardust doing the whole "being town" thing is weird I think. Why would any town need to put the quotes there? I'm not sure of the official vote count, so I'm going to hold off on voting for Stardust because the game is moving very quickly I think.
@Wheat - Sorry I haven't posted more. I'll work on it. I'm new so it's a little daunting, but I'm trying!

What is your read on Wheat_Grinder, Misting and pikachugundam?
Yeah, I'm bad for not saying enough. Wouldn't consider myself to be very good at playing, attribute it to that.
Wheat: I'd say he's town. IIRC He's been pressing Misting and other players, and I've yet to see anything scummy from him.
Misting: I don't get any read from his RVS post. He was trying to be funny and it got misinterpreted. Got the game going though. His responses to the pressure throw off town vibes to me.
Pikachugundam: Personally feel like he hasn't posted terribly much. (Neither have I, though, so I don't feel it's any indication towards his alignment.) I will say, and correct me if I'm wrong, that in this post he at first seems to defend Misting then distances himself from him by saying he feels scummy. Maybe I'm just looking into it too much though.
Void: Thought I'd do you too while I was at it. I don't enjoy either of your first two tactics for hunting scum, those being a loaded question and then chasing someone for their name claim. You dropped that second one pretty quickly, though, so that's good, I guess . . . Still not really sure. While I didn't like your first two methods, they were an attempt at scumhunting, and one would think a scum would go for much safer targets in their attempts at "scumhunting." (i.e. Not scumhunting but pretending to.) On the fence with you still, I'd say.

Am not voting. Stardusts rplies read more like confused town than caught scum to me. Stardusts wagon also sprung up really quickly imo. Bed now, mafia tomorrow.
Unvote since I clearly have no idea what I'm doing...
Lessee if the Void thing works: I'm town.
@22Bebo: That wasn't me defending Misting. That was me pointing out to WG and Misting that I also voted Iso, but neither of them called me out on it, which makes one if not both of them inconsistent. WG answered that he neglected to look into it because it was irrelevant and Misting hasn't responded yet.
Stardust doing the whole "being town" thing is weird I think. Why would any town need to put the quotes there? I'm not sure of the official vote count, so I'm going to hold off on voting for Stardust because the game is moving very quickly I think.
I guess with Seppel's unvote I'll just chill for a minute with my claim. One thing I will say, I've learned from this that townies have to be equally careful combing through their own posts. I shouldn't be letting these "slips" get us off track.
(before you mention it, Void, that use of quotation marks is the real deal instead of just being used to emphasize a tone of voice - I'll try to use italics for that in the future)
1. OK, 3>>2, but why did you feel that level of pressure was necessary? I'm still not seeing why there was a need to vote for Misting when W_G and Seppel were already on the case applying pressure.
2. Please do so when you have a chance.
3. So, you've learned not to trust in meta too much, but your first serious post is to invoke meta as additional evidence before voting? Looks to me that you were feeling too self-conscious to place your vote solely to apply pressure.
1. Maybe you're right, but I'm scared of Misting even though I feel like I understand him somewhat. As far as I saw in KotH, Misting plays a similar scum game to myself: careful, thought out posting that feels very townie until you look at the motivation. In my experience playing as scum, I'm much more likely to make scum motivated posts when I'm under heavy pressure. 2 votes is not heavy pressure. That was my thought process.
3. Meta is not a reason to vote for someone. Sorry, I should say, not the best reason to vote for someone - use only when desperate, I think. I probably wouldn't have even checked if Void hadn't quizzed Misting about his previous scum games, but as it was I thought it would be an easy way to get some additional information. That info lined up with what I was already thinking, making a weak tell slightly stronger. Thinking back... it's hard to say for sure, but I probably would have voted no matter what I found.
So then onto Misting. The below should answer Seppel's question too since this is what I normally would have added immediately.
Let's start with the discussion immediately following RVS. Misting blows it off and he's feeling okay so far, including into the beginning of this post:
I'm not sure what I can say then Wheat. I was joking around, and No Lynch was the most flippant thing I could come up with on the spot, given the group of players. Sorry if you feel I should be more agressive with it.
I'll have to check town games when I get some actual free time, but I can confirm that Misting voted for no one during RVS in KotH (no joking around at all there, though).
Still, this feel alright. Vote: Misting
Oh yeah, and /confirm.
That game, Maokun actually had said that he didn't want to vote anyone for fear of OMGUS. I came in after this and started questioning. Anyway, I'll save you the trouble of checking my other games: I'm pretty sure I actually voted someone in them. That the reason for the vote? Or is it mirroring Wheat?
But then in the second bit he confirms that he actually quizzed a guy for exactly the same reason in KotH. This was the first thing I didn't like since he'd been essentially playing dumb about RVS votes mattering up to this point when he clearly knew it was something to pick on.
One thing that just occurred to me though, if scum can so easily pick on this (as he did before), maybe he just remembered not to take RVS votes seriously but didn't remember why. Weak.
Do you think that voting No Lynch in RVS is only a scum action? Also, what are your thoughts on all of the other players currently, one by one?
Misting comes back at Wheat asking him for more content. To this point Misting hasn't offered anything. This is the first post that felt threatening to me. However, it's the lead up to Misting's reveal that he thinks we ought to be going after other RVS posts too... so that's probably fine. This post also felt pretty scummy to me at the time, but I can't for the life of me remember why. Like, bringing up a contradiction in WG's logic is not deflecting... what was I thinking?
Anything to say about this before I reach a second verdict?
Here's the actual threat, which I thought of as the second for Misting.
But besides that... not much. The me of two days ago was wrong, I think. I need to look at the bigger picture here. I think my gut is leading me astray. Unvote.
Quickly since I don't have time for a big post right now...
1. Three votes is much more than two.
2. Primarily threatening. His pointing at others during RVS felt like deflecting. His wording feels scummy at times as well. I'll do a better analysis later if you like.

The use of "bonus" above reads as if you're happy/pleased to have something extra to peg on Misting. I'm not seeing that attitude as townie.
unvote; vote Stardust
I decided to examine Stardust's wagon. Wheat and Seppel seemed like they were mostly just applying pressure, which is +town. This post, though, marks the third vote on the wagon, and the point at which the wagon picked up speed. These questions that Cellion asked of Stardust read as very leading to me. At the time of the questions being asked, I noted that they are open-ended and subject to twisting, and sure enough, upon receiving his answers, Cellion makes the replies out to sound worse than they actually are.
For example, Cellion's attack on the use of meta. Just because one doesn't trust in meta as the end-all-be-all doesn't mean that it isn't a tool that can be used. I don't dislike Stardust's reply here, honestly. I also think that Cellion's attack on the word "bonus" is bogus, here. Stardust's intent seems to be that he thinks Misting is scum, and upon doing research (+town), he discovers that Misting's No Lynch RVS vote lines up with a prior game (meta). Saying that this is a "bonus argument" against Misting does not seem scummy to me. Maybe a poor choice of words, but I don't see scum intent behind it. Stardust was trying to scumhunt, and got jumped on for it.
Why? Between you voting Yanni and this post saying he's town, all Yanni said was "blue" a bunch of times and called PG out for dickriding.
I don't like Yanni. He said nothing in his first few posts, the first bit of something is here when he first said I was fake claiming. He explains later, saying that "I know mine doesn't have a color before my robot name", clearly missing the conversation where it's actually part of my bot's name (so he's either pushing a bad reason or not paying attention - either way is scummy). He goes on in that post to say that lynching me is either lynching a liar or scum, not mentioning the third option where I'm just town AND BLUE IS IN MY ROBOT NAME. Even after I explain, post two links and a picture he still doesn't "buy the flavor defense". How much ignoring of facts can you get away with before you're clearly scum? And after all that, after he's done nothing for the game besides push against me for illogical reasons, he calls me out for lack of content. Vote: Yanni.
@Stardust: how much mafia experience do you have overall? I know you said that you had two scum games on-site previously....anything else?
Town for half a Day in KotH. That's it. That was a humbling experience for me and I'm truly having trouble figuring out where to go when I have no information. Seppel wanted me vigged for my bad play that game (despite thinking I was town). I want to do better but so far not really doing great, I fear.
Why? Between you voting Yanni and this post saying he's town, all Yanni said was "blue" a bunch of times and called PG out for dickriding.

That can all be explained by an intoxicated townie.

Unvote, vote SlinkyInvasion
Do you believe Slinky to be a scum buddy of Stardust or do you believe that Stardust is town, now, and that Slinky is scum on his own?
@Misting and Wheat: How'd you both miss that I was voting Iso in my first post too? Then again I believe that in every game I've played in whether Iso was or was not in it, modding or involved in any way shape or form, I've always RVS voted Iso on principle.
On Void's loaded question: I read it too as 'Have you been scum before?'. Any conclusions drawn from Mistings answer seem to be loaded with WIFOM or reaching.
On Misting's play: voting for a no lynch does seem pretty fishy for aforementioned reasons. IIRC in How To Train Your Dragon mafia, I called a guy out on what looked like an OMGUS RVS vote, but was convinced by others that it wasn't a scumtell. That guy ended up being the last scum to die... Anyway, leaning scum on this guy.
And Unvote; Vote Yanni cuz Seppel said so.
EWP: @Stardust: My Gundam is better than your Vandread mech any day of the week!
The first portion seemed to defend him, but the second portion seemed to be distancing.
I like Silver's thing with Cellion . . .
Stardust's last few posts have felt more town to me than his defenses earlier.

Other than looking for their buddies, sure.
Voting the mod happens all the time. Voting no lynch happens rarely, and usually from scum. Does that explain it better?
Cellion is town.
I don't like the idea of lynching on formatting on principle. However I have more to say on this at the end of my post.
I missed it because it's not a tell. I'd like to see Misting's answer though.
Unvote, vote Stardust
WG is voting me for something he misunderstood. He thinks I claimed in blue. I didn't. I claimed in bold, just like in my role PM.
@Seppel: What's your thoughts on Yanni so far, other than that he's probably high?
seppel's implying I'm town, yet voting for me.

As for content, give me some time. I'm still fairly new to this whole "being town" thing, so I'm working with PG and Misting for now (two players I've played with before). I'll broaden my scope as the day progresses.
Why did you put "being town" in quotation marks?
Anyway, the point is that I've got two completed games as scum and zero completed games as town (KotH was my only town game). Being town is still new to me. The lack of information is a difficult thing to deal with.
Not sure why you're now asking me to lie to you...
yeah mad scum slip.
I don't buy the flavor defense.
go go boner lynch on stardust

The use of "bonus" above reads as if you're happy/pleased to have something extra to peg on Misting. I'm not seeing that attitude as townie.
unvote; vote Stardust
Town.
How much bigger would your post have been?
Vote: Stardust
I see nothing to make me think Stardust is town in his defense.
Cellion is still very town.
I find myself agreeing with Seppel.
Yanni is making good points but also bad points. He's high and hard to read.
PG is being PG; he's scummy but it's hard to tell if that actually makes him scum or not.
SilverSihhe hasn't been on my radar; a quick check shows he hasn't done anything scummy and has been doing at least a little scumhunting. Therefore probably town.
Misting I keep going back and forth on but I lean more likely town.
There are 3 other people in the game that need to post more.

I am disappointed that you gave those reasons in that order.
At this point? That's he's incredibly high.
Pretty sure the game's over now guys, clearly Iso won.
Stardust doing the whole "being town" thing is weird I think. Why would any town need to put the quotes there? I'm not sure of the official vote count, so I'm going to hold off on voting for Stardust because the game is moving very quickly I think.
@Wheat - Sorry I haven't posted more. I'll work on it. I'm new so it's a little daunting, but I'm trying!
Yanni confuses me
For a game you say is moving fast...
You don't have much to say.
And your other posts were RVS.

Unvote, vote SlinkyInvasion
(before you mention it, Void, that use of quotation marks is the real deal instead of just being used to emphasize a tone of voice - I'll try to use italics for that in the future)
Anyway!
But then in the second bit he confirms that he actually quizzed a guy for exactly the same reason in KotH. This was the first thing I didn't like since he'd been essentially playing dumb about RVS votes mattering up to this point when he clearly knew it was something to pick on.
One thing that just occurred to me though, if scum can so easily pick on this (as he did before), maybe he just remembered not to take RVS votes seriously but didn't remember why. Weak.
Moving on...
Here's the actual threat, which I thought of as the second for Misting.
But besides that... not much. The me of two days ago was wrong, I think. I need to look at the bigger picture here. I think my gut is leading me astray. Unvote.
Back in a minute.
Vote Cellion x2.
@Stardust: how much mafia experience do you have overall? I know you said that you had two scum games on-site previously....anything else?
Town for half a Day in KotH. That's it. That was a humbling experience for me and I'm truly having trouble figuring out where to go when I have no information. Seppel wanted me vigged for my bad play that game (despite thinking I was town). I want to do better but so far not really doing great, I fear.
That can all be explained by an intoxicated townie.
Do you believe Slinky to be a scum buddy of Stardust or do you believe that Stardust is town, now, and that Slinky is scum on his own?
The first portion seemed to defend him, but the second portion seemed to be distancing.
I like Silver's thing with Cellion . . .
Stardust's last few posts have felt more town to me than his defenses earlier.
