It is time to vote on Game Three of the Beta League. Like we did for Game One, we are presenting to you four setups to vote on for what game you want to participate in. Like all things Mafia, a majority decision will arrive once it becomes impossible for any other game to garner enough votes to upset the leader of the vote. Currently, the roster is at 25 players. It can be found here. If you are not on the current roster and were a late addition, please PM me ASAP so I can include you in the voting process. Remember: Non-league players are allowed into league games, however, league players do have priority during sign-ups and only League participants may vote. As before, one of the setups has the "Judge recommendation".

We of the League Judges took it upon ourselves to go through with the Beta season as normal to see experimentation through to the end and ensure that the rubric can handle the stress of non-traditional roles as well as give all of the Normal hosts plenty of time to adjust to their games (since I haven't heard from a single one of them after the Council implemented the new Normal standards).
2011: Best Mafia Performance (Individual) - Best Newcomer
2012: Best (False?) Role Claim - Worst Town Performance (Group) - Best Mafia Performance (Group) - Best SK Performance - Best Overall Player
2013: Best Non-SK Neutral Performance
2014: Best Town Performance (Individual) - Best Town Performance (Group) - Most Interesting Role - Best Game - Best Overall Player
2015: Worst Mafia Performance (Group) - Best Read
2016: Best Town Performance (Group) - Best Town Player - Best Overall Player

I probably need to have a word with you guys about this, but the Normal list won't need that much time to adjust. TIK's is only on Day 2, and Toastboy's one next on the list will conform to the new guidelines, which gives something like 6 months+ for everyone else to get in line.
Although I totally get the desire to run kooky setups to stress test the rubric, we want to avoid continued overloading of the playerbase with seperate, large League games.
You can take it up with me via PM if you'd like, or, if you prefer, the Council thread. It was pretty unanimous among the judges, though I will say I put forth the suggestion since it seemed there was no clear resolution to the discussion about whether or not we should wrap up the Beta season as we were doing it or implement the changes immediately. But I'm Head Judge, so I'll accept responsibility for your ire.

Going forward, it might be helpful to run these based off of the PCQ format, where the hosts provide a slightly more detailed description of their game for players to choose from.
Folding the PCQ-approach into a league slot around the year's end might not be a bad way to operate, either. *thinks* Meet me in the council thread? We need to coordinate.

The third and fourth options are by far the ones I'd prefer, so I guess I'll vote for the third, as it seems to be only reasonable opposition to the gimmicky game.

Same here.
Imo gimmicky games should for the most part be held outnof the league except for like special events or something.

This discussion is running parallel to the Mafia Council thread, but the long and short of it is that we want to try and knock out all these "gimmick" games early, to see if they're sustainable in a regular season, as well as stress test the rubric to see what can and can't be reasonably scored.

I am highly intrigued by the alt-win con on Chimes and will take the Judge recommendation and vote Chimes.

That said, I don't object, so long as no one else cares that the game is being pushed back a bit.
