@ZDS: Why did you claim to be blocked last night? I totally thought that should have nailed you in the coffin (Scum can't kill and roleblock at the same time).
Congrats ZDS, you managed to get Zenjo lynched. GG
Also, I was tracking you last night. I figured you might rather me clear Tom and you kill TMCT.

I still feel that my avatar and role better suited scum.
@ZDS: Ok
@Nyxu: You were given a fake claim? Huh. That's what had me so confused the last day. I was surprised that you knew Meg well enough to know he even used that avatar, let alone know who it was or create a whole role and everything to go with it such as breadcrumbs.
I don't get why avatarz was even in the game as he wasn't one of Meg's avatars.
You played well although in the future I'd be more careful with your false claims. Also that thing I caught you for about "if Zenjo flips scum" on Lylo was pretty bad and I wish I hadn't dismissed it as I did.
A mafia game about avatars with avatars in it makes some sense
Like I said though my fake claim was a picture and "factory head noland"
Breadcrumbs and flavor were my idea
you made some wrong assumptions (especially at the end)
Is POE ever reliable in Mafia? It was cruel to me at the end of #70, too. In both #70 and here my intuition was pointing toward scum (Kank in #70 and kinda you here, although my instinct toward you wasn't nearly as strong), but my reliance on POE diverted me from the real scum. I guess POE is only reliable when the eliminations are based on game actions rather than behavioral tells and not even always then.
Agreed. A well played game and I was glad to have been in it. I appreciated the challenge both of playing as scum and of replacing in at a, let's call it a handicap. AA was comic book villain levels of obvious.
That said, I do stand by the "most honest thing" I said. A haughty, overaggressive attitude and proclaiming "town mvp" is, in my opinion, anti-fun. This is a cooperative game. If your play rides on the basis of tearing other players down or standing on their backs to proclaim yourself the "best" you're playing the wrong game.
My original idea for the avatar change mechanic would be that I would just get to change my avatar to whatever I want like I normally do and if it happened to match yours, you'd get powered up.
That was vetoed.
ed: The most agonizing part of this game was being unable to change my avatar at will. I've been waiting to use this Sonja avatar for months now.

I was not happy with the randomness and hidden elements in the end. The avatar mechanic was not one that could be planned around at all, really, and I feel as if that was a detriment.
It was also slow, given that the change happened at the beginning of Day, so that players would have to wait a full phase before being powered up. In at least one case, that meant that a player who did get powered up got lynched before being able to use their ability.
I think with some tweaks it could have been , but as it is, meh. Perhaps with priority triggers that were known to the player, plus selecting the avatar only from among those who achieved it?

If I had known my trigger on D1, triggering it would've been trivial on D1 thanks to RVS. And overall I don't think the triggers could've been direct actions, or too many players would meet them and defeat the purpose of having the triggers at all. In that case it would've helped to have each trigger condition preclude 1-2 other triggers (e.g. one is "the Day ends with no lynch" and another is "you aren't voting the lynched player at the end of the Day") so that they could be known.
I also agree that the pool should've been narrowed to only people that met their triggers.
[FONT=georgia]Things that could have made the game's gimmick more relevant:
1) Selecting the new avatar at the end of each Day rather than at the start (with Meg's initial avatar still counting).
2) Making the triggers known and making all of them game actions (eg not "spam a lot" or "lurk a lot").
3) Selecting the new avatar only from players who have triggered their trigger (:stupid:), whenever possible.
The game as it was featured a fully powered mafia VS a weak cop, a weak neighborizer, and a whole bunch of vanilla-for-all-intents-and-purposes townies. Tom and Wessel's roles were especially bad, the first being way too slow and the second requiring a miracle to be usable (if there's a role you want to save but you haven't powered up yet, tough luck).
Yeah, really wish I caught onto that at the start. Basically none of the avatar abilities ever got used, and it was a fairly weak town against a fairly powerful scumteam. Tan/Cantripmancer's role was bad as well, as it's basically only protecting you from the unpowered up mafia nightkill. :/ hindsight is 20/20
IB got lynched Day 2, Shark got roleblocked for the rest of the game, you didn't need a reload (and the unstoppable kill didn't matter much anyway) and Tom's was too little, too late.
Zero effect on the game.
Does anyone have any tips to improve my game design/modding?

POE is 100% reliable, the thing is, you must remove players from the potential scum pile for the correct reasons, that's the hard part, because if you remove players for the wrong reasons you will probably be burned.

The game is not being dumbed down. Control is doing fine; Draw-Go is not the only kind of control. Aggro is doing fine; Red Deck Wins is not the only kind of aggro. Creature combat is an important core concept and belongs in every color. Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.

All in all the set up was fun and the game was fun. Thanks Proph!

Do you mean MY questions?
I seriously almost posted this in twilight 1:
"Hey guys, if I die tonight, ZDS is scum. 100%."
I go into the spec chat and immediately peg all 3 scum. FML
