Mafia already runs aon an honor system. You don't PM dead cops and ask them for their results from last night. That's against the rules, and very hard to detect. Something as simple as expecting people to make public posts under a restriction doesn't seem a problem.
True, but i can easily see that alot of players simply wont care enough to do that. For myself, if i have to check EVERY post to see if i have the right amount of words or whatever, then ill simply post less / spam post.
Use "preview post"!
That works, cept one point. You type out a 452 word post (lets say thats the maximum) and preview post to see something directly relevant to discussion. At this point, your option is to delete part of your original post, or make a second post. Which would likely happen alot / trigger alot of spam. *Shrug* THATS my point by what i meant.

Wait, we can't run mostly mute monk games? LAME! The first game I ever read through was the original mostly mute monk game. Best idea ever. Would people really get upset about "spam issues" from running that?
I don't know if they're allowed or not. To my knowledge, they have never been expressly forbidden, but I would imagine I'd need to confer with the other mods about them before anyone went ahead and ran one.
I never heard any rule that said they were banned. Seems not really any different from a "Quick Reply" type game.
But I'm no Mod.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
I vaguely recalled seeing someone (fadeblue most likely) saying they weren't allowed here for spam reasons. I remember because I had no idea what Mostly Mute Monk even was, so I had to ask.
I suspect 140 character posts would be easier to spot than you think (if given a bit of leeway), they'll all be the same max length- given a test 140 character post, should be pretty easy to see for yourself if you're going longer than that. Mod would probably only give warnings for egregious breaches rather than "OMG 141 characters BANNED"
I can see how it would be annoying, and also how a game without wall-of-text posting could be non-annoying. It's probably too much of a risk to switch my specialty to at this stage, but other people are welcome to nick the idea
EDIT: Forgot to post my experience. Though, since my experience hosting games is '0', one could argue that I did post my experience. But yeah, this would be my first time hosting a game. Gotta start somewhere.

Experience = playing experience as well. Clarified that in the initial post.
I would like to say that I think there should be a definite wait until the next basic game launches. Currently, we have 4 people in basic 5 that havent posted within 2 days, and one person that only has 2 posts, and one of those posts is apologizing because they forgot about the game.
W may only be paid with white mana. U may only be paid with blue mana. B may only be paid with black mana. R may only be paid with red mana. G may only be paid with green mana. C may only be paid with colorless mana. 1 may be paid with white, blue, black, red, green, or clolorless mana.

Apologies. My experience is listed in my sig nature. I've played in 5 games on this site: 1 basic and 3 specialties and 1 normal (I think Danger City was a normal). I've played from a relatively even spread of town, mafia, and sk perspectives.
I'd like to sign up to host a normal game, if I can. I've played in two completed games here, Youkai and Kithkin mafia respectively.
I replaced into Kithkin, though it was on day one.
Just to clarify, "completed games" means games in which your own participation has been completed. So, in your case, Inheritance Mafia would also count.

That seems like a bad precedent. Are you sure his participation in Inheritance has been completed? This is an Azrael game we're talking about. I'd rather keep "completed games" as ones that the mod has declared over.

I really hope my participation in Inheritance has ended. I don't want to have to keep up with that monstrous thread again.

Sorry - part of the reason I phrased mine vaguely is that we shouldn't be talking about ongoing games outside of the thread. We really should stop now.

We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
I modkilled SK for Pm quoting, and there were a plethora of replacements. I mostly take issue with Minineko. Many of the replaced players asked to be replaced, and didn't create an issue. Minineko however, disappeared after promising and failing to deliver content on numerous occasions. I would like to see him face some kind of punishment for this.

I suppose Phayt and Zchinque will be contacted about the next mini?
(And of course, if they decide not to host, I'd be glad to start my mini :-P)

I love Joboman, Poggy, Niv, and Vezok, because, while they may not be the best players, they still try to win. Having fun is the most important thing to a game, but I've learned that if you don't try to win, then you're ruining everyone else's fun.
I contacted both Zchinque and Phayt, but neither have responded to my pm's in 17 days. I'm not sure precisely how to go about this, and ill wait for the council to make a statement, but figured this would speed things up.

Skip 'em. Loran can go next. Phayt, at least, didn't respond to me the last time he was at the top of the list and got bumped down, and he hasn't posted on the site in 15 months. I think we can safely take him off the list. I'm less sure about what's going on with Zchinque, but he's already asked to put be on hold, anyway, so I think we can at least continue skipping over him until he gets back.
Signups will go up tomorrow at around Midnight-ish.

Basic #5 - Oregon Trail Mafia is over in a perfect town victory.
Modkills: Jedcaj (Role PM quoting), Asian Invasion (editing a post)
Replacements: loran16, Drakoguard, and Niv (forced due to inactivity)
Not that it's particularly important, but a perfect town victory is one where only scum die(maybe modkills can be an exception, but w/e). The town lynched their Deputy in your game.

Replacements: Milldawg (changed his mind at the start of day 1 about playing at all)JodoYodo and solorpg (life/travel stuff). Milldawg's the only one I was a little unhappy with, the other two just had stuff and gave me notice.
No modkills or warnings or anything like that, very clean easy-to-run game.

Treigit was due up next on the list, but he has not posted here in 5 months. I'll send him a PM, but I would expect Axelrod's game should be up next.
I have to pass my spot for now. Real life stuff, sadly. I previously contacted Matjoe (behind me on the list) to check his availability, and he said he ought to be ready to go if the turn didn't come up before the 25th.
Edit: in terms of when I would be ready to host my game, it is difficult to predict. About all I can say at the moment is that I'm certain I won't be available before the end of August. And that could go into September very easily. Considering the next Normal game will be over well before then (Hunted Charlie's game), I believe that Cubus is next up after Matjoe. I gave him a heads up PM a few weeks ago as well, and I think he's got a game ready.
Matjoe said he was ready when I contacted him several weeks ago, however, it appears he has not been on site in the several weeks since then, so at a minimum he isn't paying close attention. If he does not make an appearance within the next 48 hours or so, I'm thinking that WoD could start sign-ups for his game, assuming it's ready.

My trip ran a few days longer than I told Axelrod a few weeks ago and I just got back today. I have a setup that I wrote back when I signed up (~3 years ago) but its not on this computer, so I won't be able to access it until tomorrow night. It was so long ago that I don't remember how many players its for, but I'll post sign-ups anyway; I wasn't really expecting to start so quickly. If anybody would like to review it and can get back to me within 24-48 hours (from tomorrow night) I'd appreciate it.
With Manga mafia coming to an end, the next person in line is Cubus, who is on vacation until 8/9. Given the number of games that have/are about to start up (a basic, a normal, and a mini, I believe), it might be best if we just wait for him to return to stagger the participation a bit, albeit only ten days.
