Just because you died doesn't mean that you played badly. You were inexperienced and it showed. Should you want to play in another Mafia game, then I just you join the next Basic game when it's Sign-Ups post. You're allowed to have a Mentor that will answer all sorts of questions for you.
Iso is certainly the scum MVP, not because he played good (he didn't), but he's the only one that PLAYED.
Things he did wrong.
-Iso claimed "watcher, town second vig AND lover".
-Iso shot the cop KNOWING there was a doc running around (there also was a watcher, but he didn't know that at that point), this turned good in retrospect, that doesn't mean the play was good with the info he had back there
-Iso didn't notice the flavor of the game until it was almost too late and almost claimed Rocky Balboa(!?) and let Reya claim Robin. This was such a misplay, obviously the scum didn't receive falseclaims because they didn't need one, all their claims were solid.
-Iso shot KJ, I know he turned into unlynchable at that point, but that was an unnecessary risk, KJ position was good at that point because his role didn't make sense as scum (this is correct imho, and I feel it was an oversight of the mods). Considering his extra kill and KJ wouldn't probably be lynched next day I feel the scum could have won this game if KJ were not killed.
On the other hand his scumates set a new low on mafia play.
-Reya didn't do anything the whole game, someone eventually said "Reya is not doing anything, just commenting on the game, like a narrator" and that was 100% true.
-the newbie was obvscum and got instalynched.
-KJ was lurking like usual and didn't play (You seriously need to stop doing that dude :-/).
AI even mentioned this was one of the worst scumteams in history and I have to agree.
On the other hand, the town was equally bad.
-Digi DID NOT PLAY AND ASKED TO BE LYNCHED.
-Allwin was superscummy, I actually got surprised he was a townie.
-Tordeck didn't play.
-SilentProphet daykilled me without even hearing my claim (!?) the best part is that the only thing he has said about me was:
"DRey played exactly like this in Touhou and he was town back there" and his next post was: "DAYKILL DRey"
-Cyoni kept trolling and refusing to play. You seriously need to fix your ways because you played exacly like scum, I 100% disagree your lynch was bad, you defended yourself like scum trying to troll and discredit your attackers instead of simply saying "Geez, I was wrong about KJ, that's unfortunate but I still believe that role makes little sense as scum considering the info I had back there".
I don't know how this game turned like this, it really looks like all CCM are cursed, they always result in a trainwreck as Seppel said.
The town MVP was clearly Ria, he brought back life to the game (at some point he was basically the only one trying), caught JK despite extreme lurking, shoot Reya and was obvtown with an obvtown role.

The game is not being dumbed down. Control is doing fine; Draw-Go is not the only kind of control. Aggro is doing fine; Red Deck Wins is not the only kind of aggro. Creature combat is an important core concept and belongs in every color. Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.

Both the scum and the mod thought my lynch was terrible. What does that say about it?
And I'm not sure if you were reading, but I said exactly that on multiple occasions.
And to cap it off, I was only refusing to play if you consider refusing to accept Ria's modgaming as refusing to play.

DReY could you explain how I was superscummy, please? I would like to improve my gameplay so knowing what I did wrong so I don't repeat the same mistakes again would be really helpful.

From my perspective it was more or less your early play that was really bad, but as the game progressed you improved drastically.
Voting for yourself while under pressure is typically scummy.
AtE (Appeal to Emotion) depending on how it used will be viewed as being scummy.
I'm sure I could pull some more when I have more time, but those two instants I remembered.
Yeah, the way I read my role PM made me think that it copied activated abilities, and I couldn't think of a town with a self-kill activated ability.
So I reasoned somehow that it might be a way to prevent me from copying scumstuffs, or that it was copying the scum nightkill at myself.

Nope. I just think that it's a bit overdone when you talk about how often your reads were right, and ignore every other time they were wrong.
I recall that during some of the games you used as examples, you were suspicious of practically everyone in the game, and it's hard not to be right at some point when that happens.
Meh, my GUT reads are almost always right - just look at Deitriptychos. I'll admit I'm not infallible - I know my explanation process can use some work and I should stop tunneling when I know someone is town (though those are the best wagons to analyze.) The rest is usually some kind of PoE combined with interactions, wagon analysis, and potential slips. My play isn't perfect by any means, but I definitely set things up to get results. My apologies if my playstyle has ever been grating to you. That goes out to everyone else, too.

This says to me that scum and the mod thought your lynch was terrible.
When you were lynched I was pretty sure you would flip scum because of your awful behavior. This is my opinion, but I found you scummy for most of the game and Ria was my strongest town read at that point, his points were pretty insightful too. That doesn't mean Reya was a town read, when Void proposed the theory both of them could be scum trying a gambit it also make sense for me (I know this idea was defused by AI later and he was correct, but my scum read was so strong on both of you that I envisioned it for a minute), it also explained why Reya would falseclaim when there was absolutely no need for it. I still don't understand why he felt the need to do it, and why Iso didn't stopped him from doing that, Robin is like one of the most known sidekick of all time, it was to be expected someone would be Robin.
DReY could you explain how I was superscummy, please? I would like to improve my gameplay so knowing what I did wrong so I don't repeat the same mistakes again would be really helpful.
Basically what Void said, being townie is kinda hard to teach... but you improved as the game progressed anyway. If you read my case about you you will see why I believed you were scum back there.
My suggesting is to reread the game and play a basic, you are a thoughtful man and I like your openness to critics and desire to improve, keep at it and you will have a bright future here.

You are deluded, and no matter how many times we try to put your head in place looks like you will never understand. Your gut is not always right, in fact your gut is more often wrong than right, the thing is, you choose to only remember when your gut is right and ignore all the times it was wrong, with this politic is very easy to consider yourself like the best player ever.
Every townie eventually suspects all players for any little things, that doesn't mean "ohh, I suspected X for at least five minutes in a 4 month game, my gut was right all the time!". What really matters is who you strongly push and lynch, and not whom you suspected for a short time before deciding you were wrong after all.
But I don't expect you to ever understand this message, many people have tried before and I think we will continue to read you in the post game as town saying "Hey I participated in all mislynches, pushed townies, investigated townies, doc protected scum, defended scum we got completely destroyed but my gut was right all the time!".

Thank you DRey, and I will be rereading the whole game over the holiday break(have alot of test in school that take priority :p). I also hope to be a part of the next basic game because I missed out on void's. How often do basics usually get started?

Hahaha, you are kinda lucky because next basic is starting very, very soon, and I will be one of the moderators, we've worked really hard to create something special here, your presence in the party game will certainly be appreciated, hope to see you there.

That was great, however, I wish Cyouni had not outed that information about me. Doesn't matter at this point since the town still won the trainwreck.
