Well it was nice to see DRey come in and claim scum. In case you are wondering DRey as scum likes to come in to a game and stonewall, refuse to reread, and throw weight around he doesn't have.
Also the fact he is tying himself to Void and calling anyone who hasn't unvoted Void as scummy is telling.
I feel like we have a pretty good grasp on the majority of scum in this game:
1. Meggido
2. Void
3. DRey
4. Wessel
I am up for lynching any of them today.
I agree with Void and DRey but not Meg, obv. Where's the Wessel case? I was absent for a good 11 pages or so, I remember reading that Wessel's activity had been scummy in reaction the the Void wagon, is there a summary of that anywhere? I know AE had posted a case on Wessel too, correct?

More notes on where power roles lay. Barns someone and places a vote.
Your mind was helped out in placing that vote.

More.
Moves to Void. I have to see his take on tordecks recent play.
I hope this is a joke.
Wessel comes in pressuring void but doesn't vote. He Questions why Audinho places a vote on Void. Then states Void is scum but still no vote.
Then I notice unsettling events of placing roles. On WG, AI, downplays Seppel as having power role.
Now moves to Void. Thinks Tordeck is town, but Tordeck pulled a 'reaction play' also. With this and the role noting.
vote wessel
Could he be bussing Void? I'll have to look back on Void. AI has been quieter than other games I've been in with him but no one seems concerned with him at the moment so I'll hold on looking at him unless I get some free time.

Currently, I'm much more interested in lynching either Iso or Void.

Yeah I'm with Cyouni on this: What did I do that was scummy now in those posts?
You tripped my favorite scumtell... but in a rather weak manner... and this is a tell which usually only appears around LyLo. So I'm not at all convinced it's a valid tripping here.
The problem is, if I reveal it, there's a good chance nobody will accept it in this instance, but it'll be obvious to everyone just why it's a pretty good tell when you catch someone. Which will in turn lead to scum knowing exactly what to avoid.
But, since I opened my stupid big mouth, I suppose I'll have to say something at least... I'll describe it in general terms without giving the specific examples which are pretty much always Scum.
It's all centered around confidence and the way certain things are phrased. The more confident someone appears to be about something they cannot possibly know, the more likely they are scum.
At it's most basic, that's exactly what the tell is. In this case, it has to do with how confident sounding Guardman was with his assertion that we've found the Scum team (or a good portion of it). There's a bit more to it than just that, but I'm going to hold back on the specifics because I'd prefer the tell to retain potency, not be weakened by letting Scum know exactly what to avoid.
Like I said though, I'm not used to seeing that tell show up short of the end game, so I'm not certain how valid it is here. But I definitely felt it was worth flagging those two posts over.

Back in the old country and able to post again. Missed a few pages, and now and then an ad pops up that I cant close sans closing my browser, so rereading is a huge pain until I get home (2 days).
I did however spot some very scummy posts by infinis, will go through it later.
Why is everyone so dead set on lynching Void/ making him spend how questions on NEUTRALS? His questions makes much more sense day 2 if we can make them about nightactions. Then he is a cop.

The game is not being dumbed down. Control is doing fine; Draw-Go is not the only kind of control. Aggro is doing fine; Red Deck Wins is not the only kind of aggro. Creature combat is an important core concept and belongs in every color. Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.
Scenario: iso is nk'ed. Void can state "Seppel targeted Iso last night". Wouldnt that work? If he is able to ask that he could potentially clear two players. Not very powerful now, but very, very useful later. I might be wrong about him beeing able to use it like that though, needs voidfirmation.

I legitimately cannot decide whether this is terrible or scummy.
Since kpaca was apparently unkillable, that means it bypassed that somehow. I find it extremely unlikely that power's on a town vig.
Is this your first game or something? Ok, I will try to explain things to you like you are a 5 year old.
Kpaca lies all the time, as town, as scum and as cult (the chances is that he was a cult this time, everything checks). And you said it yourself, he was not just shot, he was exiled from game so I expect him to die even if he was bulletproof, and you too!
Furthermore, even if it were on a vig with limited shots, then them outing themselves would mean the scum has one less person they might accidentally target.
Accidentally target? is that a joke or something? Scum wants to kill everyone, the don't accidentally kill anyone and our neutrals have all cowardly claimed already so they are safe from the scum NK. Anyway, After reading thrice I think I understood what you were trying to say, you meant that a exhausted daykiller (effectivelly VT) will never be targeted by scum so the chances of they missing a effective power role is lower. That's true and a good point, but have you played as a mason before? confirmed VT townies are a powerful force, much more powerful than the looks, so unless the confirmed townie was a total bad player (fluffy or something) I would be perfectly fine with sheeping him and discussing with him until he died. In fact I'm even considering falseclaiming to be the dayvig so the real one can come forward and I can sheep him.
Actually, speaking of: why are you neutral hunting?
Huh, why are you trying to mudsling me? are you scum? I never neutral hunt, unless you are talking about the cult (that's a neutral) but one that must be dealt with asap or Seppel possible falseclaim. Actually you gave me an idea, now that we know kpace is removed from game we can confirm if Seppel is lying or no!
@Void check with the mod if this question is acceptable. "On the actual playerbase(ignoring Kpaca) there's zero neutral players"
I would love to confirm Seppel's as pro-town so we will force scum hands to kill him because his reads are usually good.
Forgive my laughter. You're like a puppy that growls thinking itself fierce.
My fangs are sharper than you think child.
Not to mention the only "proof" you have is modgaming a single ability.
That's quite interesting, so do you believe a completely pro-town proven ability can be from scum? Please explain to me how scum can use Void's ability in a way to benefit them without looking bad and being instanly lynched? If you can explain that to me, just give some examples, I will hammer Void, if you cannot (because that's impossible and Void's town) you will be added to my deathlist.
I feel like taking a closer look at Infinis, Wessel, and Arcadic after Void's lynch. Maybe DRey, depending on the answers I get.
Heh, you are a good player, I don't remember your reads being usually off and you reading me wrong, except when you are scum (as you always think I'm a easy prey when you are scum). I'm not a lesser player as you think my friend.
The game is not being dumbed down. Control is doing fine; Draw-Go is not the only kind of control. Aggro is doing fine; Red Deck Wins is not the only kind of aggro. If Void is indeed the lynch, I don't think we need an extension on the deadline; any replacements, etc. can catch up during Night. Of course, this presumes that we can find them in a quick manner.
Void is the lynch.
Void's role is very strange and would seem to be obvtown upon cursory examination; there is definitely a similarity to Ged's role in Return to Amistaria. However, his behavior is still very squirrelly.
Void's role is town.
I think getting the full use out of his questions, then lynching him is the best way to proceed. This way, we eliminate an untrustworthy player as well as verify how truthful his claim and subsequent information were.
AI wants to lynch Void because he's untrustworthy. Why is Void untrustworthy? Is this meta or based of the game? Or is this just a way to push for a lynch AI knows is bad? AI wants to lynch Void despite the mod interaction to confirm his role as trustworthy.
Break it down.
AI wants void to be the lynch.
AI calls Void's role town.
AI wants to lynch Void anyway, because he doesn't trust him. NOT because he believes he's scum, because he doesn't trust him.
IF Iso wasn't such a perfect lynch, i'd be moving my vote to AI. What a terrible justification of a vote.
There are atleast seven anti-town(or non town) players. I don't have time to go back and figure it out. But with the atleast there could actually be 8 or more. We figure not, but this will give us an answer to that.
The other question I was orignally going to propose for Kpaca but since hes gone, I would propse it for seppel.
If Seppel wins another faction can win.
This question is fair because it doesn't tell if the target is town or mafia, but it does tell if the target is a neutral.
Other comments.
I don't like that void won't defend himself. While I can say that it is a town behavior I can also see it being a scum behavior. I also should say that his role is not a townie role only. It can be a scum role. It would actually be a quite unique town or scum role. I have seen them before, I love the role, but the claim doesn't really make a difference.
I don't really know what to think about Void. I feel like hes town, and I don't. The case is solid, my gut is confused, so I am just going to go with what has more points in its favor and continue to vote for the lynch.
Other things to comment on,
This scum team is so delusional that I'd question if they're playing the same game as us.
Seppel I find most of their posts to be pro town, I find your behavior to be anti town and you to be mudslinging players I find pro-town.

As I said, there was more to it than just how confident Guardman was.
The tell consists of a few different "requirements", one of which is a strong exhibition of confidence in something you cannot know for certain as Town. Take away any of those requirements and the tell either becomes much weaker, or not a tell at all.
So I agree with you, by itself, confidence is not a scumtell. But in combination with other factors it most certainly CAN be a scumtell.
I don't see this catching anyone, honestly, even if the question is askable which I don't know.

I think it's just fine. Modgaming is not enough to undo the scumminess.
I would like the serial killer question asked, and if there is one, I would like the next statement to be "There are two or more neutrals in this game". If there is not one, I'd like the question on daychat.
What would be the point of revealing it? Are we going to lynch Guardman off of what I already said was a weak tripping of my scumtell? I don't have any plans to. So who would benefit by my revealing the full nature of it at this point?
I flagged Guardman's two posts because they are slightly scummy and I wanted to make sure I made note of them before they got lost. They're a single point right now on someone that otherwise has been neutral to townie in my book. Nowhere near enough for any kind of case against him, but something to keep in mind as the game progresses.
And what the hell do you mean we have no time for games? Is this not a game we are playing? Do we not have many many real life days ahead of us before this game ends? Just what is the urgency here?
This question is fair because it doesn't tell if the target is town or mafia, but it does tell if the target is a neutral.
No, it doesn't. All that will tell us is if there is a Survivor in the game or not. It won't even tell us if Seppel is that Survivor. Seppel could be Mafia while someone else is a Survivor and you'd get your "confirmation" that Seppel is a Survivor with the way you want to interpret the results.
(There may be other possible roles than just Survivor which will work as well, but Survivor is the most obvious while Cult Leader and/or Serial Killer will NOT work.)
I think it's just fine. Modgaming is not enough to undo the scumminess.
Its not the modgaming. I think Void is town due to his role. AI puts forward 3 different reasons and positions on Void, 1 which believes Void is the lynch, one that believes Void is town and one that tells us to lynch void because he is untrustworthy, (as far as i can tell, a baseless accusation)
If we all agree that Void going A B C D is scum, vote E, then AI representing 3 different stances on Void is just as scummy.
Void said his abilities cannot confirm abilities/alignments. Would a NK confirm an ability?
Not only that, but you'd have to figure out which of the mafia targeted Iso. It seems like a risky gamble.

The statement should be "There are two or more neutrals still alive."
Your statement could be misconstrued as the number of neutrals at the start of the game, if ModCharm is playing with semantics.
DRey's latest posts answering Guardman continue the anti-town speech patterns and overreact in several places. DRey also goes out of his way to call himself town in a few spots and advocates that Void is town, yet DRey will place the hammer just to move on. He's also rushing the town. Really not liking DRey, he's blasting some really common scumtells.
Iso's vote/unvote on Arcadic is proof that Iso's just skimming the thread. He claims tiredness, but given the timeframe, I don't buy it.
I agree with W_G on what questions should be asked.

I can see your point, but I disagree with it because it echoes what I was thinking while watching Void.
I can't quite explain DRey's scumgame, but this is it. There's no effort to try to solve things in his posts. He's a braggart either way, but he comes to his unrealistic conclusions much faster as scum than town. As town, he actively engages people rather than asking then empty questions and making empty declarative statements. He's not afraid to offend people as town.
That's the best analysis I can give of DRey's town game vs. scum game.
Sunset approached rapidly as a decision still had yet to be reached. Hayate sighed, watching them all bicker. At first it was almost exciting to see all these mages discuss things - hell, that was the entire point of the convention. But now...she actually wished something exciting would happen.
It was at that moment that the commander realized her mistake. Wishes rarely end well, and she was about to find out firsthand as a blast of rosy light incinerated the area. The power behind it...was unmistakable. Someone had tried launching a lethal blow, and one of the mages was sprawled out on the floor, a bag of change in her hand.
"Get her to the med bay, now! The rest of you, form up, front and center!" The woman may not be more than 25, but she still spoke with the authority of an army commander and made damn sure everyone else knew she meant business.
"The point of being here was to find out what's going on here, and shooting people willy-nilly isn't going to solve anything! I don't care if it takes all night, one of you is gonna own up to this!"
Ahylis has been killed. She was Misaka Mikoto, Townie Esper.
Votecount has been reset.
The previous deadline for July 14th has been rescinded.
With 20 Alive, it's 11 to lynch.

Bluh, absolutely the craziest D1 I've ever been involved with.
Is there anything question related that we can ask about the Ahlyis death? I'm pretty confused about what's acceptable/not acceptable information to inquire about. Can we ask for the alignment of the killer since we don't know who did it, or is that against the rules regardless of what we know or don't know?

Void: Seppel is neutral! His case isn't strong because of that!
When that doesn't stop the case on him:
Void: Seppel is mafia!
And Ahlyis, please explain.
Yeah I'm with Cyouni on this: What did I do that was scummy now in those posts?

This scum team is so delusional that I'd question if they're playing the same game as us.
I did however spot some very scummy posts by infinis, will go through it later.
Why is everyone so dead set on lynching Void/ making him spend how questions on NEUTRALS? His questions makes much more sense day 2 if we can make them about nightactions. Then he is a cop.

Good catch.
That's not a scumtell.
How so? He cannot confirm alignments or roles.
@AI do you and Seppel are linked, is that you are saying? can you absolutely confirm he's a neutral? Why are you actively lurking?
@Meg why are you actively lurking after being pressured?
@Proph wth are you doing? you also lurking?
Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.
I am certainly following along, though. I'll set aside some time an hour from now for real posts; there's a lot happening that I need to comment on.

My fangs are sharper than you think child.
Heh, you are a good player, I don't remember your reads being usually off and you reading me wrong, except when you are scum (as you always think I'm a easy prey when you are scum). I'm not a lesser player as you think my friend.
Trolling/Flaming infraction issued.

How about you actually read the thread, wise guy. Something about living in glass houses and throwing stones.
ITT: DRey claims scum.
Void is the lynch.
Void's role is town.
My wife was on MTV with this video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUutIZg2EpU
Are there two or less neutrals in this game?
Is there a Serial Killer?
Is it possible that multiple (or perhaps three or more?) kills occur at night?
Are there multiple scum factions?
Do the Mafioso have DayChat?
Is there more than 1 neutral in the game?
Is there more than 3+ win woncs?
(Will convert to statements as needed. IF I missed one please let me know.)
Basic #59 Modern Family. You were convinced he was scum from previous meta and he flipped town.
I liked Drey's post it felt geniune.
I would ask the questions we ask are the same.
Other things to comment on,
Seppel I find most of their posts to be pro town, I find your behavior to be anti town and you to be mudslinging players I find pro-town.
Unvote, Vote Arcadic
Doesn't mean Seppel can't meta DRey.

By itself, no. It's not.
I don't answer to your wishes your majesty!
Can't say I agree. I think his posts are aggressive, abrasive, antagonistic and in some cases outright insulting of other players.
Not sure what there is to like in there.
He's talking about AI
They hate us cause they ain't us.
My wife was on MTV with this video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUutIZg2EpU
Void said his abilities cannot confirm abilities/alignments. Would a NK confirm an ability?
Not only that, but you'd have to figure out which of the mafia targeted Iso. It seems like a risky gamble.
Whoops.

The statement should be "There are two or more neutrals still alive."
Your statement could be misconstrued as the number of neutrals at the start of the game, if ModCharm is playing with semantics.
Iso's vote/unvote on Arcadic is proof that Iso's just skimming the thread. He claims tiredness, but given the timeframe, I don't buy it.
I agree with W_G on what questions should be asked.
Yup. If people don't chime in any longer ask away. Give it a day.

I can see your point, but I disagree with it because it echoes what I was thinking while watching Void.
That's the best analysis I can give of DRey's town game vs. scum game.
When did these become questions instead of statements?

Is there anything question related that we can ask about the Ahlyis death? I'm pretty confused about what's acceptable/not acceptable information to inquire about. Can we ask for the alignment of the killer since we don't know who did it, or is that against the rules regardless of what we know or don't know?
kpaca and Ahylis were the highest posters...aside from Seppel. But Seppel's not dead.
