In fact, I think it makes perfect sense to be Mafia instead of Town. Mafia can manipulate the questions to make it look like they are trying to help Town while actually gathering info that they really want... which is exactly what Void's statement looks like when you look at it from the perspective of him being Mafia.

If Void is indeed the lynch, I don't think we need an extension on the deadline; any replacements, etc. can catch up during Night. Of course, this presumes that we can find them in a quick manner.
Void's role is very strange and would seem to be obvtown upon cursory examination; there is definitely a similarity to Ged's role in Return to Amistaria. However, his behavior is still very squirrelly.
I think getting the full use out of his questions, then lynching him is the best way to proceed. This way, we eliminate an untrustworthy player as well as verify how truthful his claim and subsequent information were.
Void's role is townlike, but his behaviour's really off. His statement implies that Seppel's case is solid, but unreliable due to the fact that Seppel's a neutral. His refusal to address the case on him.
Wessel's flipflopping is also suspicious. It's like he's just trying to go with whatever everyone else thinks.

There are some things that speak for Void, like his role, but his behaviour speaks against him. I temporarily unvoted him because I was persuaded by the argument that his role was unlikely to be scum. However, in my very next post I revoted him because I was once again persuaded by the behavioural standpoint. It's a case of setup gaming versus behavioural analysis. I'm weighing the different arguments against each other and temporarily came to the conclusion that setup gaming should prevail in this case. However, a lot changed since that moment, not just the votes. Posts happened. Attacking people with baseless, lazy accusations as shown in post 1222 is in my eyes indicative of being scum, and was my main reason to revote him. Behavioural analysis prevailed after post 1222.
Mhm. And it just so happens to be after two people revote him. Forgive me for being highly skeptical. His behaviour was the same both before and after his claim - no defense, baseless and lazy arguments, the works. Yet you stated at that time that his role made him very unlikely to be scum.

The POINT being, an answer like that could tell the Mafia whether or not something like a Cult Leader is possible. If there were 4 Mafia and the 2 claimed Neutrals, then the Mod's response just told them there's someone else out there while the Town still only "knows" that our two claimed Neutrals are likely telling the truth about their alignment, something the Mafia already knew. Confirming that for Town does little, but knowing there's at least one more non-Mafiate out there could be useful for them.

Seppel - Neutral survivor that needs to find (target) AI as an additional wincon. Townsiding because scumhunting is more fun than deceiving and a number of players have suggested vigging me if I don't.
Tordeck - Has done nothing of significance except argue with D_V. Tried to "trap" players by intentionally acting scummy, and as we all know, that never works.
Arcadic - Low poster, can't get a good read on. When given a choice between Void(?) and Arcadic to lynch, Iso chose Arcadic.

1) What makes you so sure Void is telling the truth about the entirety of his role?
2) This reads more like complaining than explaining.
What is the benefit of knowing whether the scum have daychat? (Compared to some of my questions?)
If the scum do have DayChat, then the players would know to look for what could be planning during the Day and know that the scum team is much more organized in their actions.
The question that I would see fitting from yours to ask is this one:
Is it possible that multiple (or perhaps three or more?) kills occur at night?
But it doesn't teach us anything concrete about alignments. I know we can't ask about alignments directly, but we can try to ask good questions at least.
Also the multiple kill question is possibly the weakest from my list, because we will know what happens come Day 2. And the only thing it does is it might show there are vigs (more likely than a SK, taking into account we already have a claimed survivor). So overall, that would also be a question I wouldn't want to ask.
I prefer the statement about how much non-towns there are on your wagon currently.
So I've taken some time to think about it and I agree that lynching Void is the right play for today. His ability might not be weird on scum, but that doesn't overcome the fact that behaviorally he is hella scummy.

Firstly, I have no doubt that there is some truth in your claimed role.
Secondly, there is a typo in your role name.
Thirdly, looking at the role from DragonHeart, and the claimed roles of kpaca and Seppel, I guess that the Magical Girls characters correspond directly to specific mafia roles. Having looked up Umineko no Naku koro Ni and Beatrice on Wikipedia and Wikia, I don't see anything that corresponds to being 'Town Trusthsayer'. Instead there is talk about Beatrice being a Golden Witch assisted by her Demon helpers, and being the main antagonist in the series.

Void's role could easily be scum and I don't see it as Obvtown at all. Firstly, I've seen scum Doc's in a game before and the doc is supposed to be the most obvtown role of all. If a Doc can be scum in a game, there's no reason Void's role couldn't be scum. Second, his ability could be used to generate massive amounts of WIFOM and distractions for the town, and that's assuming he's telling the full truth.
Void's "I didn't respond to the case cause the response makes me look scummy" is terrible. His jump onto Seppel is equally terrible.
I agree with AI, Void asks the questions and then we lynch him. I'm fine with placing my vote, and I believe others have expressed similar intent.

I am concerned about Seppel, because the more he posts the more I don't believe his claim. The more I don't believe the more of a "Wild Card" Seppel becomes. And Seppel with any sort of "Wild Card" is something to be concerned about.
But since that post I have gotten some reassurance that Seppel is nothing to worry about.

I don't understand this at all. Why would giving this ability to a Mafiate mean that the Mafia team is extremely weak? Is there some rule about Specialties here that says the Mafia can only have one ability among their roles? (I'm going to assume the answer to that is the extremely obvious NO.) So, why do you say the Mafia team must be weak if they have Void's ability?
In fact, I think it makes perfect sense to be Mafia instead of Town. Mafia can manipulate the questions to make it look like they are trying to help Town while actually gathering info that they really want... which is exactly what Void's statement looks like when you look at it from the perspective of him being Mafia.
Ignoring the fact that I was never ON your wagon (I had only expressed an intent to join once the Mod responded, but hadn't done so yet), I have no problem with barning something I completely agree with.

I can't answer for Seppel, but I think I outlined my belief clearly enough above.

Why does everyone assume that there are exactly 5 players on the Mafia team? I understand that that is the most likely number based on the size of the game, but I don't know why it is the ONLY possible number.
If Void is on a 4 man Mafia team, then his question just confirmed that there are more than just the 4 of them plus our two claimed neutrals that are of an anti-town persuasion.
I have no idea if that is accurate or not, I just don't understand why everyone seems to be blindly accepting that there are exactly 5 Mafia in the game.
Void's role is very strange and would seem to be obvtown upon cursory examination; there is definitely a similarity to Ged's role in Return to Amistaria. However, his behavior is still very squirrelly.
I think getting the full use out of his questions, then lynching him is the best way to proceed. This way, we eliminate an untrustworthy player as well as verify how truthful his claim and subsequent information were.

Non-Staff Quasi-ModVoid's role is townlike, but his behaviour's really off. His statement implies that Seppel's case is solid, but unreliable due to the fact that Seppel's a neutral. His refusal to address the case on him.
Wessel's flipflopping is also suspicious. It's like he's just trying to go with whatever everyone else thinks.

Megiddo, Prophylaxis, Gricky, you, and Wessel are the five I'm most okay with seeing lynched toDay. Proph and Gricky are pretty much off the table, so it's either you, Wessel, or Megs, so I could just as easily hop on the Megiddo wagon if that took off. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing much in the way of pressure on you, so that would have to be reserved for a later Day.
Did you see where I explained this to Seppel? In a game where there are potentially 2 non-anti-town Neutrals, there is simply not enough power geared towards the mafia if they only have 4 (possibly) useful power roles with this number of players. Have you ever balanced a game setup before? If not, you have no idea what you're talking about.
How? All we know is that their win conditions differ from the town's. How does that make them anti-town? .-.
Because as the game progresses, we can yield more information from Void's ability.

His behaviour was the same both before and after his claim - no defense, baseless and lazy arguments, the works. Yet you stated at that time that his role made him very unlikely to be scum.
This also would have sounded slightly more believable if it had come before you started the mudslinging and WIFOM. Instead, when I expressed suspicion of you, your first response was to go mudslinging, then combine more mudslinging with WIFOM.

Seriously? THAT is the best you've got? A 4 person Mafia is horribly gimped in a game of this power level? So, even if the Mod gave the Mafia A Role Cop, an Assassin with a NK in addition to their inherent NK and a Culting role that converted Townies into Mafiates to go along with this horribly gimped role of Void's, they'd still be so grossly underpowered as to have no chance?
You are trying to play a game of outguess the Mod, and that rarely ends well.
Way to play semantics and try to dodge the point.
The POINT being, an answer like that could tell the Mafia whether or not something like a Cult Leader is possible. If there were 4 Mafia and the 2 claimed Neutrals, then the Mod's response just told them there's someone else out there while the Town still only "knows" that our two claimed Neutrals are likely telling the truth about their alignment, something the Mafia already knew. Confirming that for Town does little, but knowing there's at least one more non-Mafiate out there could be useful for them.
It's all hypothetical on my part. I'm just trying to give reasons why the ability and more specifically the actual statement posted could be Mafia oriented.

I personally believe that the DayChat questions is one of the more useful ones.
If the scum do have DayChat, then the players would know to look for what could be planning during the Day and know that the scum team is much more organized in their actions.

Void's role could easily be scum and I don't see it as Obvtown at all. Firstly, I've seen scum Doc's in a game before and the doc is supposed to be the most obvtown role of all. If a Doc can be scum in a game, there's no reason Void's role couldn't be scum. Second, his ability could be used to generate massive amounts of WIFOM and distractions for the town, and that's assuming he's telling the full truth.
Void's "I didn't respond to the case cause the response makes me look scummy" is terrible. His jump onto Seppel is equally terrible.
I agree with AI, Void asks the questions and then we lynch him. I'm fine with placing my vote, and I believe others have expressed similar intent.
I had a lot of posts to go through, so I'm sure I missed some small stuff here and there. If there's anything someone feels I need to respond to, please bring it to my attention.
