Unfortunately, this happens to townies to when they Misunderstand, then they get pushed to a lynch and end up being town. Because they pushed to hard on thinking it was a scum slip.
The thing is that in this instance the slip was followed up with flailing and ad hom.
No, it's not an okay measure to go by. However, stupidity is not a scum tell.
Do you have a reason for why it make him scum versus him being an idiot?
In my belief, if was declared a mistake, then the FoS should have been taken off. From what I have seen since my last post, Tezz still has not removed the FoS from IB which still causes an alarm for me. If Tezz truly thought it was a mistake, then he would have taken the FoS off of IB then, but he hasn't. The fact that you are still avoiding the subject that Tezz had not corrected his action is causing you to look suspicious in the process. I don't think you are scum, but the more you defend Tezz, the more you like it.

UnFoSing is rare. That's because it isn't like a vote; you can FoS everyone if you want.
Firstly, quit ****ing misrepping me, okay? Do you know what fos stands for? Finger of suspicion. Suspiion. Reread it. Suspicion. It is not a ****ing vote, it is suspicion. Read it one more time. Suspicion. If I said he was guilty, my vote would be on him. Suspicion.
Yes, and we're voting you for creating suspicion where there should not be any. Plus, flail...

You've mislynched Yanni twice. Once in fourty five on a POE lynch, and that won you the game. The second time was in an ongoing game, and you're not aloud to talk about those.
Is it possibly your reads aren't all that great?
1. You said that ad hom wasn't scummy.
2. Ad hom's why Yanni's usually lynched. When he's town.
Why do you think we would lynch Yanni, when he's town, if ad hom isn't scummy? Please, enlighten me.
No, it's not the people who are mislynching Yanni that aren't learning anything, it's Yanni that's not learning anything. The people mislynching Yanni are mislynching him because he's being scummy. He's not being mislynched because people want him to be mislynched.

Oh, and to me un-fosing indomitable, I'll say this. Out of all the games I have been in, he has been the first to un-fos somebody.

Is it even possible to get anymore defensive than this? BTW, I have understood every post you have made. Please remember, it is just a game. The way you're defending yourself is only making you look worse...
I have played too many games of real life mafia and I have seen so many town mistakes that have caused mid-lynches. 90% of mistakes are usually made by townies not being careful on how they worded things or how they remembered things (because they are town, they can be a little loose). It is usually the cautious scum that end up not making the mistakes but they become clearer over time. So with a small number of posts in this game so far, it is quiet hard to find anyone suspicious right now.
So to answer your question, no I do not find anyone suspicious at this point in time.

First, FoS'es are almost never removed.
Second, drawing connections between living players is useless, since you don't know alignments. (If you want to admit to knowing alignments, that's fine with me too.)
@Wheat_Grinder:
Interesting. How do you know that there shouldn't be any suspicion on i_b?
There should not be any suspicion due to something that is obviously a misunderstanding; IB just wasn't aware of that particular facet of how games run on MTGS. That isn't to say that things IB does later will be given a free ride of course, just that Tezz was trying to create suspicion for something that is a misunderstanding ONLY.
Again with the misrepping. I wasn't saying that IB saying that he thoiught there was a jester to be a scumtell, I was saying that the post he made, immediatly after manders, seemed like scum wagoning to me.
Oh. I think misunderstood this whole time on why you FoS'd IB then.
I'll go ahead and Unvote
My bad. Though the sheer amount of ad hom keeps you leaning scum for me, just not worth the vote right now.
Ok. Basically what happened is that I saw you FoS IB, which I thought was over his FoSing of Ceej for thinking he had a jester tell, which was a misconception.
Then when you kept saying it was because he was following Manders I thought it was because Manders said something about a jester tell, but I never looked back to make sure, and your ad hom had sealed the deal for me.
But when you said it the last time without the ad hom, I finally decided to look back and realized I was mistaken the whole time.
I still don't like the ad hom, but my reasoning for voting you was total bull.
And yes, looking back WAS partly because Seppel was on my case, because I know that when Seppel is on your case, you screwed something up.
I still don't like the ad hom, but my reasoning for voting you was total bull.
So you still think he's scum, but because you didn't, you're backing off of him completely and not putting forth any more effort to (1) find a better reason to vote him, nor (2) have a better candidate to vote. He's still leaning scum to you, so if you're unvoting him, then you clearly have a better scum candidate prepared, right? Oh, you don't? Who else have you bothered to give an opinion on? Let's find out:
@Void:

I've read everything (while I was supposed to be cleaning. Don't tell r_0 ) I'll be playing catchup on all my games tomorrow, but for now, a few things.
Yes, Cyouni, I have examples. Yanni in Basic #40 and Arcadic in Return to Amistaria. I'll provide quotes for that tomorrow.
Had I been here, I would have told you guys this was toen tezz. From what I've seen, he's very calm under pressure as scum.
Ad hom, while scummy, is NOT a scumtell. People do it regardless of alignment.
I have no thoughts on Wheat yet. I'll concentrate on him when I thoroughly read tomorrow.
Crap, one more thing I wanted to say, just to set the record straight.
Jesters ARE allowed on this site, but they cannot end the game if they are lynched, and the mod including one has to notify the playerbase that there is one in the OP. And you have to find a reviewer willing to allow one, which means NOT Cyan, haha.
I've done my research...but have decided never to include a jester in one of my games. Too many people dislike them.

Yet you have no followup on either of those two people, nor any commentary on anyone else.
It's Agatha Christie all over again. At the start of that one I had trouble getting any scum reads either, and when I did it was on a townie.
I also put my foot in my mouth big time in that game too and eventually got killed for it.
But with those two, GigaRage leans town to me right now for having trying to caution the wagon from moving to fast, but Manders is neutral to me, leaning just a few tics towards scum for breadcrumbing her vote on Ceej, but that's not a good enough case for my vote.
"We think you're scum because you took a situation in which someone was obviously mistaken and tried to rouse suspicion over it."
Die please.
I don't quite understand what you're saying here?
@scumlists: I'm up for it I guess, but right now I have a lot of neutral reads. I suck at forming reads early game.

TOWNIES DO NOT THINK THIS WAY.

Let me get this right:
You think he's scummy (or leaning scum).
No one else seems scummy to you right now.
You feel "bad about leading a wagon on him".
@Wheat_Grinder:
He's leaning scum, you haven't mentioned any other scum suspects, and he's "not worth the vote"?
I've already answered that.

I do feel bad about leading a wagon on him! I voted him over a gigantic misunderstanding!
Vote Wheat_Grinder.
Probably deserved.
My history of having to claim in basics will continue for this one too, it would seem, at this rate.
Not a whole let yet. Still deciding at this moment. There is a case, not just sure if it is him being scummy or stupid with his posts. Leaning towards scum though...
Well, post-prod, I just got caught up but still feel a bit off about Tezz. I'll keep up with the thread but I, for one, am not feeling like he's a townie.
Wheat seems to be getting cornered here, and with good reason. His arguments are flawed, he claims people are scum then refuses to vote for them. Overall he seems very suspicious and scummy, and I would like him to claim.

I'm happy to see that I am not the only one that feels this way.

Vote: Wheat_Grinder
After rereading everything, I have to agree with this statement now.
I'm not sure that Wheat's the best lynch for today. He has done some scummy stuff, but realistically, I don't think he's done enough to say that he's scum. And, while I don't typically support using meta as a defense, Wheat's playing his town game (and I've played a bunch of games with Wheat, so I know his town game pretty well).
I'd like everyone currently voting him to either:
A) Unvote him.
OR
B) Come up with at least five reasons as to why you think he's scum. If you can't do this, unvote him, as you don't have sufficient evidence to think that he's scum.
Flavor: I used to be the main bad guy, until I realized that what I fought for was corrupted, and my father incorrect. No one believed me, but I proved myself and as the Fire Lord I strive to help Aang protect the world.

Win condition: I win when the rebels are dead.
This seems legit to me; in a vacuum, this claim looks totally valid.
There is much shuffling as well, although many hungry eyes look towards Wheat_Grinder as a possible traitor. Could it be possible?
Ozai: The real question should be, what will you plan on doing once you find a traitor, or even if you do....
*Aang stares back in utter silence, clearly unsure of himself. The lion turtle's skill will only work on benders. What would Aang do if the traitor has no bending skills?
In Return to Amistaria, Arcadic made this post. I was his buddy, so I knew he was scum, but it's still a scum going out of their way to justify random statements/votes.
In Basic #40, Yanni made this post. I, as LairyFights, called him out on it. He was lynched D1 and was scum. I was town.
I'm sure there are more examples, but those are the top two from memory.

Umm... Okay? Jump on wagons easily much? Fos Infectious Baloth
I've addressed this before but I'll do it once again: this is my very first game of mafia ever. Ever. Consider me easily swayed this early in the game, but to FoS over something that had been explained hours prior to your FoSing seems like culling the weak members of the herd.
Umm… How did you think Manders saying that Ceej is scum, RVS?
Or was it?
Anyway, my powers of intuition, based on how you’re reacting to Ceej, are coming in. Curious?
Me: Oh, I’m not scum Wheat Grinder, I’m really town.
Wheat Grinder(in a really thick british accent btw): Oh really? Well then, sorry old chap.
Me: Quite alright.
Then we skip off in some sunset. A giant sun sets. And nobody likes our ****ty movie.
Conclusion: You’re gullible. And I watch to many old movies.
An accusation of scumminess on Wheat_Grinder (who may himself be scum) along with some ad hom and misrepresentation of argument.
Additionally, you align yourself with Wheat_Grinder a bit here.
If I fully believed he's scum, I would have voted for him. But I didn't.
@Everyone who's voting for me- So you think I'm scum because I said a guy might be scum?
Second part addressed previously.
First part: If you were town and fully believed I was scum, you would have voted. If you are scum and you were trying to get someone else to start a wagon to avoid attracting attention to yourself as the person starting the wagon, you might FoS someone and make poor arguments against them.
Suspicion.

Addressed above.
I thought basics were so that you could learn the game. Goes to show what I know.
You've mislynched Yanni twice. Once in fourty five on a POE lynch, and that won you the game. The second time was in an ongoing game, and you're not aloud to talk about those.
Again with the misrepping. I wasn't saying that IB saying that he thoiught there was a jester to be a scumtell, I was saying that the post he made, immediatly after manders, seemed like scum wagoning to me.
With the limited information available, I still feel that Tezzeret12 is scum for attempting to start a bad wagon and hopping on another wagon as soon as it popped up.
It's a number high enough that people would have to find substantial reasoning as to why he's scum, rather than a lower number like three where that can just pick random instances of scummy behavior and say he's scum.
For some reason, with the small amount of information we have, this seems like fishing to me and comes off really scummy.
With the limited information available, I still feel that Tezzeret12 is scum for attempting to start a bad wagon and hopping on another wagon as soon as it popped up.
This entire post is just beautiful, and not just what I quoted. I didn't notice the interactions between Seppel and Tezz at first. So a possibility I'm entertaining is that Tezz and Seppel are a scumteam.
I no longer feel bad about voting Tezz. Vote: tezzeret12
Okay, I'm not going to quote all of InfectiousBaloth's post because most of it is pointless. I will however ask a few questions.
1. You say that my FOS seemed scummy, when really it's just like any other FOS. Are you saying and FOS is a scum move?
2. Is it wrong that I was happy that someone with common sense (Seppel) showed up?
3. Why are half of your responses to my quotes completely meaningless?
4. What exactly is your reasoning for me being scum? Because all I see is you yelling at me for ad hom.
1) Please don't misrepresent my argument. Your FoS was scummy because it was directed at a player who made a mistake after the mistake had been pointed out and rescinded.
2) This is strictly an ad hom and doesn't require a response.
3) See 2).
4) I have answered this several times, please refer to my last few posts.
1. I'm not, you're misinterpreting mine. My reason for my FOS was purely based on Manders calling Ceej scum, then you doing the same right after. THAT WAS IT.
2. Yes, yes it does. Think about it.
3. Answer. And the "**** no" response of yours I didn't get btw. Care to elaborate?
4. No, you have yet to come up with a suitable answer. Your big post was:
"I'm a newb misinterpreting your argument. Pity me!!! Pity me!!!"
"I'm addressing this even though it isn't relevant."
"Ad hom! Ad hom!"
"Ad hom."
"I'll continue to ignore your logical reasoning totally."
"I'm lazy, and I think you're scum because you didn't attack me outright."
"You're lazy."
"Random point, then admit the reason I'm saying you're scum isn't a scum move, but hell, I'll vote anyways."
"Reacts hurtfully to a point that was not addressed to me. Fails to realize I'm not the center of universe."
"Obvious point."
"Ad hom!"
"Useless post."
"ad hom!"
"He defended him! He can't be right, they must be scumbuddies!!!"
"I CAN'T UNDERSTAND LOGIC!!!"
"Misinterprets something. Again."
"You're scum. Again."
"Ad hom!"
"Dumb reason for a vote!"
Defending yourself by attacking me isn't going to convince anyone. My rationale is sound and you are attempting to discredit me; poorly at that. When you flip scum, this will likely be irrelevant.

No, it's not the people who are mislynching Yanni that aren't learning anything, it's Yanni that's not learning anything. The people mislynching Yanni are mislynching him because he's being scummy. He's not being mislynched because people want him to be mislynched.

Yes. Personal attacks seem scummy, but they are generally made by both town and scum, making them a null tell.

I'm happy to see that I am not the only one that feels this way.
After rereading everything, I have to agree with this statement now.
Vote: Wheat Grinder
I'd like to get an official votecount, since it looks like we're already at L-2 or so...
TIK, can we get a votecount, pretty please?
I'd like everyone currently voting him to either:
A) Unvote him.
OR
B) Come up with at least five reasons as to why you think he's scum. If you can't do this, unvote him, as you don't have sufficient evidence to think that he's scum.
Thanks to Nezumi for the banner!
I am Zuko, Vanilla Town.
Flavor: I used to be the main bad guy, until I realized that what I fought for was corrupted, and my father incorrect. No one believed me, but I proved myself and as the Fire Lord I strive to help Aang protect the world.
Abilities: None
Win condition: I win when the rebels are dead.
This seems legit to me; in a vacuum, this claim looks totally valid.
Ceej (1): MandersHex,
Tezzeret12 (3): Ceej, infectiousbaloth, Burstinatrix
Wheat_Grinder (5): TheVoid958, LuckNorris, Cyouni, tezzeret12, Seppel,
Not Voting (3): Wheat_Grinder, GigaRage,Erebus
There is much shuffling as well, although many hungry eyes look towards Wheat_Grinder as a possible traitor. Could it be possible?
Ozai: The real question should be, what will you plan on doing once you find a traitor, or even if you do....
*Aang stares back in utter silence, clearly unsure of himself. The lion turtle's skill will only work on benders. What would Aang do if the traitor has no bending skills?
The GJ way path to no lynching:
I'm not sure yet. I'm going to re-read him in a bit and make my decision.
You should provide reasons why.
Is that all you can comment on?
Why 5?
I would put money on the scum team having safe claims due to the small amount of characters in the series.
(I watched the movie. Haven't watched the series yet. The movie wasn't that bad!!! Haters. :p)

We even have Mafia!!
I've addressed this before but I'll do it once again: this is my very first game of mafia ever. Ever. Consider me easily swayed this early in the game, but to FoS over something that had been explained hours prior to your FoSing seems like culling the weak members of the herd.
Not directed towards me, but this seems kind of scummy to me.
An accusation of scumminess on Wheat_Grinder (who may himself be scum) along with some ad hom and misrepresentation of argument.
Additionally, you align yourself with Wheat_Grinder a bit here.
Deflection, ad hom. Again, not necessarily a scum tell but still not best practices.
Which was explained to you several times.
Second part addressed previously.
First part: If you were town and fully believed I was scum, you would have voted. If you are scum and you were trying to get someone else to start a wagon to avoid attracting attention to yourself as the person starting the wagon, you might FoS someone and make poor arguments against them.
Kind of a cop out and a really poor defense.
This is not your first game, is it?
Ad hom is not scummy but is still not best practice.
Addressed above.
I thought basics were so that you could learn the game. Goes to show what I know.
You are not Yanni.
Ad hom is rude.
This is not toward me and I can't address that.
Ad hom is rude.
Buddying noted.
Addressed previously and again above.
In the words of a very wise mafia player, Tezzeret12: "Umm... Okay? Jump on wagons easily much?"
For some reason, with the small amount of information we have, this seems like fishing to me and comes off really scummy.
Ad hom is rude.
With the limited information available, I still feel that Tezzeret12 is scum for attempting to start a bad wagon and hopping on another wagon as soon as it popped up.
1) Addressed above
2) I haven't watched the movie or seen the series so I have absolutely no basis for flavour gaming.
It's a number high enough that people would have to find substantial reasoning as to why he's scum, rather than a lower number like three where that can just pick random instances of scummy behavior and say he's scum.
Thanks to Nezumi for the banner!
Defending yourself by attacking me isn't going to convince anyone. My rationale is sound and you are attempting to discredit me; poorly at that. When you flip scum, this will likely be irrelevant.
