Why only seven players on your list? Only one town read? What do you mean by your neutral category, seeing as you have left out most of the players in the game?
Only seven because those are the only people I had reads for. What I mean by my neutral pile is that I've looked at them critically and haven't seen anything leaning either way (or balancing stuff, meh). Only one town read because only one person I looked at critically felt town without any real scummy things.
Yesyes, Vez' posts are awful, we know that. But where is the deflection you mention? And why is this, in your opinion, now suddenly scummyVez, while you earlier didn't like votes on Vez for posts that, to me, look pretty damn similar?
I believe it was the difference between horrible votes with no reasons to posts that looked like their reason was to divert attention or to start an easy wagon. Voting for no reason is a little scummy, but vezok does that as town. But somehting to the degree explained, I can't really ignore, passing off as 'oh he's just playing normal.'
You want to "test his unlynchability"? Even though he has said there are negative side effects to it? Why?
Why do you feel that attacking barn votes is scummy?
Why do you feel better about Az?
I felt that it was a scummy fear tactic, claiming early that we can't lynch him, and we'll suffer if we don't listen to him. Seems the perfect way to get away with it, if it were false. But now with the mod saying that he can't be lynched, I don't believe it is a scum-bluff.
a) I'm not the only one echoing this request, though in a logical way it was incorrect for me to say 'we,' rather 'some of us.'
b) I want to see some of his thoughts. Because he likes to make a bunch of posts that are solely hopping onto various wagons, doesn't mean we should let him. If he's scum and doing this then he will likely have to fabricate some reads, and this could be potentially valuable down the road. I remember in either CCMIV or Goo (or both) we gleaned information from the reads of dead scum.
I think people are allowing this guy too much leeway. I'm not sure if the comparison to claiming SK as town is even valid. Claiming SK, while stupid, was some sort of plan that lined up. Over here, his mindset has not at all been consistent and the above post reads entirely falsely with the revelation that he was scum in the other game he was talking about.
Indeed. But did you really expect me to say: lololol I'm scum in my other game, and nobody even suspects it, while I'm town in both my other games and getting called obvscum?
And Vez pretty much claimed scum. Which makes me want to lynch him.
As opposed to my claiming cop, which
1. The scum might not even believe.
2. At worst ends with me shot, which isn't that bad for the town since my role is worthless anyway.
3. I could be lying and totally be un-nightkillable
Cop really isn't a power role here. But, many people seem to think it is, and so I see no reason not to be confirmed town in the eyes of half the town.
I don't know if nom is town or scum. But I'd like to point out this type of behavior is his standard modus operandi.
Court Mafia: Day 1, hatch plan to KILL EVERYONE ELSE IN A SINGLE NIGHT, when the plan only allows him to hit 11 random players, ATTEMPTS TO FIRE ANYHOW (Roleblocked).
In other words....Nom is an impulsive player who doesn't think about planning long-term or listening to others. I wouldn't be surprised if he was town. At all.
b) I want to see some of his thoughts. Because he likes to make a bunch of posts that are solely hopping onto various wagons, doesn't mean we should let him. I thought that currently, unless I'm missing something or unless he's scum together with Ced, that Vez was confirmed town due to his traitor claim?

We'd expect you not to lie for sympathy. It's called an appeal to emotion tell.
I'm not too sure about Vezok claiming scum. Unless it explicitly says 'You will turn into scum' on his role PM, I think he's just guessing. What, we have 2 people claiming their alignment can/will change, and ced thinks there are more. I think it is more plausable that people will just turn into neutrals with different wincons, like 'kill x,' or a survivor role; I don't see the potential for multiple traitors as fair in any game design. DC said the game qould be equally bastardy, not overwhelming for the town. We should have the same chances to win as a normal game it the game is designed right.
I thought that currently, unless I'm missing something or unless he's scum together with Ced, that Vez was confirmed town due to his traitor claim?
I don't consider him confirmed. Who knows what he could really be. But the thing is is that it helps us if he really is scum, and it doesn't hurt us if he's town. That coupled with the fact that he hasn't really shown any reasoning outside of some wanton statements, makes me want to see what he is really thinking.
Indeed. But did you really expect me to say: lololol I'm scum in my other game, and nobody even suspects it, while I'm town in both my other games and getting called obvscum?

If you're going to claim cop, claim cop. Don't try this WIFOM crap, the scum are going to kill you if you're not one of them already.
Cop really isn't a power role here. But, many people seem to think it is, and so I see no reason not to be confirmed town in the eyes of half the town.
Let's be clear here. You're assuming it's not a power role, because we're in a bastard game.
There's good reason why most of the players in this game are taking a rather dim view of that assumption...
Even in a bastard game, a cop's investigation is a powerful piece of evidence, and absolutely relevant. If your play is what it seems to be, it was a serious, mindblowingly unwise mistake that will seriously jeopardize the town's chances.
There are a couple good points brought up against him, but more importantly, he's the only person with anything close to a wagon on him. I'm not trying to see him speedlynched, but I think that once we have a wagon on someone, the game will stop being quite so chaotic--right now we have a dozen people all constantly posting in completely different directions.
As I said before, this is a horrible vote.
He's looking for a wagon, not scum. He's also looking to stop people discussing things that they want to.
I guess I'm going to take a stance and say i.bug looks alright to me.
I personally never got over the whole not using softening words things.
At some point, I'm pretty sure I got a wagon started on me for pretty much the same reason as i.bug has the wagon on him. And, checking the sig, I was town that game.
Maybe I'm being soft because I'm empathizing too much, but I can understand exactly why someone would want to bring a lack of certainty with them when playing mafia.
Unvote, by the way, since I'm pretty sure the wagon I was on died about three pages ago.
This is a decent post except for the last line. As before, he's not unvoting because he no longer thinks AI is scum but rather because the wagon isn't there anymore. Again: wagon, not scum.
MH is town, and I'm liking someone too.
DYH seems to be about the same as his usual, in that he's kind of standing back and managing, rather than getting in and really fighting. However, I generally read DYH pretty poorly, so take that with a pretty good dose of salt.
I'd have to say my biggest suspicions would be on AI, as I don't like the way he was going after Some One--it's like he's trying to be subtle about it, yet not really succeeding.
1. To be pretty much scum.
2. To have an ability making it bad to target him at night.
If he's lying, then we should probably lynch him, since there's something worse lurking for us than just an ability making it bad for us to target him tonight.
If he's telling the truth, we should probably lynch him, since otherwise tonight, mafia are going to do something like Doc Protect + Mafia convert, out our vig.
By the way:
1. I've never been scum before.
2. I've been lynched more times than I can count.
3. I'm also getting called obvscum in the other game I'm in right now.
4. I'm the cop.
I'm sorry, but I've been town constantly, and getting obvscum labels all over me in both this and the other game I'm in has gotten me pretty unhappy: you're welcome to call me scum all you want when I'm actually ☺☺☺☺ing scum. Seriously, do you know how many times I've been lynched as town, despite never once being scum (the answer is twelvish, I think).
And I came out as cop because this is a bastard mod game.
What's the point in being a cop if I'm just going to get lies thrown at me. I'm with az here: we might as well just run it as vanilla.
Walk me through this as I don't understand. How does the fact that this is a bastard game make you claim cop?
It seems pretty clear from the context of your claim post that the cop claim was as a point to clear you, but you're saying that we should run it as a vanilla game, in which case claiming cop should do nada for you and claiming it would be pointless.
Indeed. But did you really expect me to say: lololol I'm scum in my other game, and nobody even suspects it, while I'm town in both my other games and getting called obvscum?
No. You could have just ignored the other game instead of exploiting it to suit your needs. Your 'annoyance' at being called scum was obviously manufactured and I find it extremely hard to believe that a townie would use that as a defense.
And Vez pretty much claimed scum. Which makes me want to lynch him.
As opposed to my claiming cop, which
1. The scum might not even believe.
2. At worst ends with me shot, which isn't that bad for the town since my role is worthless anyway.

Cop really isn't a power role here. But, many people seem to think it is, and so I see no reason not to be confirmed town in the eyes of half the town.
There's several problems here.
First off, this all doesn't jive with you previously saying that you agree with Az and that we should run it as a vanilla game.
Then we have the incongruity of you assuming that your cop role was bastardized but that we should take Vez at face value.
And there's the other incongruity of you saying on the one hand your role sucks and is useless but that some people should clear you with it.
To sum it up:
When voting and unvoting AI, you were clearly not hunting scum but rather looking for a wagon to latch on to.
Your mindset in wanting Vez lynched and claiming cop still does not add up.
@ced : Can you tell me something ced: Do you get pushed in the wrong direction?
Which leads me to believe they can't talk to each other outside the thread. They could just be putting on a show for us, but I highly doubt it, especially since Vez asked twice before Ced got around to answering.

If he was under severe attack in this game and it mirrored the other game than I could understand how it would look odd that he didn't mention the other game and could potentially give him away.
But he wasn't "getting obvscum labels" all over him. I believe at that point the only votes or real pressure on him was from me and Manders. So there was no reason to get annoyed. The fact that he uses strong language to show his displeasure when it's all predicated on a lie is especially telling.
@Nakamura: Not to sound like a ***** or anything (although I'm sure I will) but if you cannot devote equal attention to both of your games, please replace out so someone who can devote the time to this game can play.

Please don't expect me to comment at 8:00 A.M. Keep in mind we don't all live in your Time Zone.
I think what Manders is saying is that she would like you to post more, and in more depth than you have. If you don't have time for the game, then you should ask for a replacement. It's not about what time zone you live in, or when you post, it's about whether you post.
People have asked you questions. Please read the last couple pages and respond.

yeah, yeah, no one called you scum, then deleted you from the list entirely when giving reasons. I am currently unhappy with nakamura in case that was not already obvious.

No, I think?
If you're asking based on your "become an SK" theory (I think you are?), then I'm guessing that I become a terrorist (or whatever is doing the bombing) on turning traitor, because my guy is an ex-terrorist.
You know, I immediately assumed from that that ced is claiming to be from an Arabic country (yes, partly because DYH has been looking for someone in that direction, but still). I'm probably right, but I still feel like I should be slapped for that.
Fairly certain that he is in agreement with my conclusion in 567, which came after some probing of that incident on my part.
Having read your 567 I don't see any material difference from what DYH said: you're assuming there's a conflict between ibug referring to Az play as confusing but unvoting him. And I still don't see that, let alone see it as a reason to go screaming about an obvious lie.
RafK: Why did you make your flavor reveal at the start?
Well, the style was for fun, but the content because I had the knowledge and revealing it didn't hurt. In general more reliable knowledge about the setting, for the town, means less confusion and mix-ups. The only reason to hold it back would have been to attempt a trap somehow, but in this case I doubted that would get very far (if anything, more likely to cause MORE confusion or make me look confused). Hence, without a reason to hold it back, I decided to get it out early.
Agreed. Way unnecessary. Manders, if the mod believes Nakamura is not posting enough then the mod can deal with it- at most, PM the mod that you think Nakamura needs to be prodded or replaced.
Holy post explosion Batman! I go afk for a few days and come back to over an hour's worth of reading to catch up on. Unvote ibug for starters.
My (now mostly defunct) thoughts on the DYH wagon:
-I do think DYH is scum.
-DYH was entirely too angry throughout the entirety of the wagon, and all too quick to claim. Why would he be angry to have to claim Day 1, but at the same time be quick to? Because he thinks it'll confirm him as Town, but he can only do it once per player. he figures that by claiming he can cut off the wagon before it starts so hopefully he won't have to burn his ability, but as the wagon gains speed he figures he needs to in order to save his own hide.
-The whole sheep thing was overdone. If someone (in this case Az) points out numerous things, and other people (in this case the "sheep") agree with those things but can't find anything additional because the first person brought up everything possible, should they discount what the first person person brought up? No. It just means Az is good at what he does.
-Until I get some idea as to the extent of the bastard-moddery in this game, I will be playing it ass if there were none. Therefor, I am inclined to take DYH's claim and subsequent mod-confirmation at face value. Meaning, I do believe he is unlynchable today.
Is Nom's meta as bad as he says it is? B/c he does seem rather sketchy.
As a town power role (Hacker, random negative effect on target player) in Heroes Mafia he was fairly level-headed. People were calling him scum pretty much until he was vigged, and he never got overly upset or did anything irrational such as claim under no pressure. The whole "cops are useless in a bastard game" angle reads as completely fake and is a cop-out (no pun intended).
As happy as I am that people agree with me, I would love to see some kind of justification. I get that you're a sheep, but that doesn't exactly make me confident that you're also town.
I was asking that question because of role related reasons.
My ability had something to do with a simple push.
So I thought that ced has the same ability. Apparently not. We have different triggers.
My theory with the recruiter is out of order.

This is one of those moments where I have to say please trust me. We can talk about NA tomorrow but until then it is very dangerous to do so. Yes it is role related info and bastard mod induced paranoia. Please wait a day with NA, and don't ask me to talk about him much until then.

No problems here. I wasn't planning on asking you to talk about him anyway.
I don't want to post reads because I may turn scum so my reads could help the town.
If after day 2 I am not dead I will provide reads.
I don't believe that one bit. I "may" have an automatic-kill-everybody in the Mafia ability, but I "likely" don't. You "may" turn, but you "likely" won't. See what I mean?
You can't expect to be alive after Day 2 with a comment like that. Either you're Scum, of you're the worst Town player ever.
I don't want to post reads because I may turn scum so my reads could help the town. If after day 2 I am not dead I will provide reads.
Hmm. Have to think about this comment. The first impression I get though is that vezok's ability or abilities are triggered ones... and that he's not sure what the trigger conditions are, just their results.
I think the closest "standard" role that fits this is the "Slowpoke Rodriguez" one (trigger-happy 1 shot vig. - autokills the first player who targets you during the game)
Wait, so you're actively stating that your reason is that you do not want to inadvertently help the town with your reads in case you get turned mafia?
I would vote you with size 7 font if that wasn't exactly what you want.
this...
I don't really care for ~V~'s skirting about role information.
Uncertain is I wish to vote for N_A... I will wait for some more posts from him. I do agree with the analyses from Skander, and AI's vote.
Despite what others are saying I really don't see early claiming as townie. Rather, I see how a scum could and would do that way more than I see a town PR eager to claim. Somebody made a comment of how DYH used such a tactic as scum before, hmm...

My ability had something to do with a simple push.
So I thought that ced has the same ability. Apparently not. We have different triggers.
My theory with the recruiter is out of order.

What good does this idle speculation do us, exactly?
What do you think about Nom_Anor? I didn't see you mention him at all on this page or the last one (40ppp).
I know it did and I apologize to Nakamura for my actions. There's no excuse for that, and it won't happen again.
@Vez Why are you so unwilling to satisfy the town and make an analysis post? Many people have now requested this from you.

You could "what if" anything. There's no point to it.
No problems here. I wasn't planning on asking you to talk about him anyway.

Mafia Stats 2016-2017:
Town: 1-0 | Scum: 2-0 | Neutral: 1-1
If my win con wouldn't change I may actually help you with the reads. But ...

I would vote you with size 7 font if that wasn't exactly what you want.

Note to self: Your mafia theories are usually wrong, so don't act on them.
Well, it sure doesn't look like voting DYH would do anything, now would it?

I don't really care for ~V~'s skirting about role information.
Uncertain is I wish to vote for N_A... I will wait for some more posts from him. I do agree with the analyses from Skander, and AI's vote.
Despite what others are saying I really don't see early claiming as townie. Rather, I see how a scum could and would do that way more than I see a town PR eager to claim. Somebody made a comment of how DYH used such a tactic as scum before, hmm...
