and I hate the use of the quotes because it insinuates that the plan may not be fully fleshed out, at least to me it does.

Nope. Fencesitting is being able to think of plausable courses of action, but not deciding on any of them, while Saying that "He doesn't know what to do" is knowing which side you're on, but not knowing what to do about it.
I'm really not sure what this is trying to argue, and it contradicted his previous point, but see above for the answer.

What I meant here is that when he uses the quotes around tacky's plan he makes it sound like he's reluctant to believe him.
Once again, pretends that it's all about TACKY's plan, when before he had stated that DKD "is reluctant to believe anybody". And I also proved that the assertion isn't true, as well.
You forget the part where I was correct about Cyan being the SK.
You had a pretty good chance of being correct, actually. If I'm not mistaken, Cyan was relying on his claim of day-vig to save him. He was lucky, and the only reason he wasn't called out was because the actual day-vig was dead. Pure luck.
And if I'm mistaken, this is you pretending that the argument was about whether you were correct or not.

And joboman, nice to see you've abandoned the argument about that post being 'off'.
Let's take a look at your post containing your reasoning.

This whole post makes 0 sense. Like I'm confused.
And Can you please answer my question about where in this game I've strawmanned, ad hom'd, etc?
Falkonn's vote is opportunistic. Mod Votecount please?
Strawmanning: In each case, you're pretending that the argument was about something else than it actually was. This is done so that you can refute it more easily. That's, like, the textbook definition of strawmanning. My post generally follows the format of "you pretended that the argument was about X, and refuted that, when in actuality, it was about Y." (Heh. Actually used "in actuality". Take that, Simon Baker!)
Ad hom: "The wagon's full of noob town that hate my playstyle!" "You mislynched me twice in a row, therefore you're wrong now!"

The first one I make because its true. The second one I never actually said that, i'm saying that you definitely can't read me because you lynched me as town.
I'll just claim now.
I am Angela Petrelli - Town Dreamer
Because of my ability to see the future I know what will happen I can avoid being killed.
I also have an ability called dream. Not really sure what it exactly does but my theory is that I'm told vague bits of flavorful information every night.
I'd like to know the actual case against me. Everyone else is just saying "Well, everyone else has already made the case so he's obvious scum". Please use quotes.
Okay, well flavor-wise, that claim makes some sense, as Angela kept herself and her family alive several times through her ability to dream the future.
I will say, however, that Angela is definitely a character with some corrupt leanings; and I wouldn't be that shocked if she was scum.
Also compared to my own PM, Jobo saying "Town Dreamer" feels pretty forced.
I'll await a vote count before I vote though.

I don't need to use personal insults to reinforce my point, mr. *cough cough* mis-lynched me twice in a row *cough cough*
This is something Jobo tends to do as scum and is one of the "jobotells" I refered to in the last page of AB mafia. Pointing out "Oh, you've mislynched me before because I was scummy so I must be town here!" is his standard scum MO.
Nice one. Didn't you lead towns to two mis-lynches already... one right after the other... lynching me twice? Do you really trust your read on me, or are you stupid enough to say for three times "He's acted X lets kill him. Oops too bad. Well he's acting X lets kill him. Oops, my mistake. lol he's still acting X lets kill him again!"
Also, If I act a certian way and you assume that that is scum, when I flip town you should keep in mind that "he's been town before when he acts that way"
That claim as well is pretty terrible.

Note that joboman never actually said what this role does in concrete terms. It's possible that the role is deliberately open-ended and vague (see [The Izzet]'s role as Townie Hobo in Clan Contest Mafia III), but I'm more inclined to believe that this is a lie that would be child's play to fake.

I'll barn both of these, especially the bit about Angela being scum. Considering the characters and their motivations in Season One, if Angela isn't scum then I have no idea who would be. (I think Angela's character became more relatable and less cold as the series went on, which is why I specified "in Season One.") This game may have the Heroes and Villains flipped a la Season Three, but I feel like Zionite would have made that public information.

Having no idea what that ability does sounds like BS to me and it sounds like you're making things up.
He could very well be telling the truth about his ability, but that means next to nothing speaking about alignment. Him adding Town to the beginning of his role is really the icing for me.

Man, I wish I could say that I did that on purpose to try and get you to say that pretty much right after Cyouni called you out for just trying to discredit the people on your wagon.
As far as the opportunistic thing goes, I could go back and waste everyone's time by quoting people that say you did whatever and it was scummy. At this point there is a huge case against you and imo there is no reason for every person that votes you to have their own evidence. The evidence is already there, and your defense of it has been pretty terrible.
If you want a body of work to refute in order to be seen as town I would start with what Cyouni has said personally. I'm pretty sure he's been your biggest critic, so it would make sense to start there. At this point I think Cyouni is looking for publishers for his I Think Jobo is Scum: A Case Study book.
As for the claim I agree that it's likely that Angela Petrelli is scum, so my vote stays where it is.
I don't know if nom is town or scum. But I'd like to point out this type of behavior is his standard modus operandi.
Court Mafia: Day 1, hatch plan to KILL EVERYONE ELSE IN A SINGLE NIGHT, when the plan only allows him to hit 11 random players, ATTEMPTS TO FIRE ANYHOW (Roleblocked).
In other words....Nom is an impulsive player who doesn't think about planning long-term or listening to others. I wouldn't be surprised if he was town. At all.

Don't know her flavour particularly well. But I know that I have exact information about my ability.
Also, the flavour and the ability don't connect in any way. One suggests kill-immune, the other suggests a cop variant.

His posts since then have said nothing proclaiming his innocence or town alignment though. Which, of course, is very interesting.

One becomes nothing
Nothing becomes all
Here you stand before me
So here shall you fall
Sorry I've been away for the last day guys. I had three SATII Subject Tests this morning and then my teammate became the STATE CHAMPION IN THE 800M just tonight so I've been busy.
Wow, y'all have been busy too. Joboman is L-1? Let's settle down a little, I agree he's scummy but he almost got lynched before I even got back. That would not have been cool. Townies don't rush wagons, regardless of how good they might be. I was going to make a PBPA on him with this post but at this point that doesn't really seem worth the effort.
There's been a ton of posts so I'll just hit a few key points quickly:
@TACKY's plan for tonight: I have a bad feeling a TACKY plan probably ends up with me dead :(, but as long as it handles vezok nicely I guess I'll give the go-ahead to it anyway.
No, wrong. OMT was actively doing analysis. He was providing analysis on Vezok's playstyle and DKD. You came out an said "seems really scummy" and moved along. Had you provided analysis for your thoughts, I wouldn't have thought anything of it. But your post reeked of opportunism. Others had expressed concern, so you jump in with a smilie and a line about how he's really scummy.
This is true. All I can say in my defense is that very little analysis was getting done at that point in the game by anybody. But yes, I probably should have said more than a little smiley and one-liner.
You created a 'nervous' situation with the Ted/Claire thing, which could get people riled up, and the whole 'Vezok is totally siding with the scum' bit is an attempt to get his lynch and direct the town. Equating Vezok to scum is terribad.
He's not scum, but I do think it's important to remember that he's not really "one of us" either. Note that I didn't say "vezok is siding with the scum" but "vezok might side with the scum later" (emphasis added). I never said, nor do I claim now, that Vezok is scum--and in fact I've said in one of my posts that a real scum death would be much preferable to a Vezok death.
Was Jobo the best case? You seems unsure, unsure enough to ask 'do we bandwagon' in hopes of getting others onboard. In fact, your 'case' on Jobo was mentioning that he was fairly inactive, and you even excused that away by saying that he could just be AFK for a while. It was NOT the best case. Why didn't you go back to OMT or DKD or one of your earlier leads?
I did state my reasoning for this. On further consideration, I had decided that OneMoreTime and DKD were just as likely to be newbie town as scum. Therefore their cases were weakened. Joboman's case was not just based on the fact that he was inactive but (more importantly) that he was (and remains) a constant barner and fencesitter.
Also, this is yet another contridiction. You claimed earlier in your response to me that you were Providing to the discussion and such. Now you are claiming that it was baseless posting with little evidence so early on. Does anyone else see this (I really wanna know!)
The point I made is that I was giving as much as I could to the discussion. At the beginning of the game, there is no evidence. Therefore it was not a strong post, just all I could do.
How can you possibly still be thinking that Vezo isn't telling us everything? As I've made clear multiple times, Vezo has tons of motivation to tell us things and very little to withhold information.
Not entirely true. He has tons of motivation to make us think he's told us everything, but very little to actually tell us everything if some of that information might make him look bad. Don't get me wrong, at this point I do think vezok has told us everything, but it was a valid point at the time.
I don't need to use personal insults to reinforce my point, mr. *cough cough* mis-lynched me twice in a row *cough cough*
Could you please specifically state what about my play here is similar to my play in Asphodel meadows? To me it seems like you're just trying to think up reasons because in Asphodel meadows I only made like 10 posts.
"I don't need to use personal attacks, but I'm still going to use an ad-hominem attack against your analysis skills. OH WAIT"
@AlphaInsidious's posts: I love one-liners as much as (OK, much more) the next man, but you've really got to have something else there. Your posts are pretty much entirely just smilies and short sentences, very little content.
@Joboman's claim: Angela Petrelli is associated with the company, is very very shady, and is probably scum. Also the fact that he changed his mind on his rolename AND his ability name after being called on them is super suspicious. All in all a very scummy claim.
Slow up! This applies to all of you. It doesn't hurt town to take a little extra time to consider. It only helps scum to go to night earlier.
With that said, I do think a joboman lynch is the smartest choice for today. I'm not going to bother with my PBPA since all of this already happened, but I will summarize my points against joboman:
1) He is lurking, and not just by not being here. He is consistently posting, but avoiding content.
2) He barns other players rather than creating his own opinions, and doesn't explain his reasoning.
3) He refuses to take a strong position on any case, a.k.a. fence-sitting.
4) He tries to distract attention from his case by pointing to me and using ad hominem attacks against his opponents.
5) The strongest point of all right now, he claimed a probable scum character with an ability that it sounds like he made up. And then he changed his rolename and ability name after questioning.
So yes, I fully support a jobo lynch. But let's wait up for everybody to check in first, please.
People, please unvote so that people can weigh in on this.
I am town?
While I agree that we should wait so that people should be able to weigh in on this, is that really all you have to say? "I am town?"? At least try to hide your lack of any response. Hint: it makes you look like the scum you are.
I have been gone for the day, still catching up on everything, but I went over the joboman wagon, and approve. His attempt to discredit his wagon, and the slip in his claim have sealed his fate.Unvote: Hunted Charlie, Vote: joboman

Well, I think that's twilight, fellows, and I think we've made the right choice.
But honestly, red_0mega, why would you hammer right now? We just missed a chance to hear from the rest of our wonderful town before Day 1 comes to a close. The day has lasted all of three real-life days, it's not like we had to worry about a deadline. More discussion is always good for the town. I don't like that you just hammered like this, especially after I just posted asking several times for everybody to slow down.
Well, see you guys in the morning. Or not, if I get nightkilled.
I do not see anything else that we need to discuss today. I am fairly certain that nobody would have had anything to say to change this outcome, the roles that have claimed do not need any direction, and we already have a decent idea what we are going to be doing tomorrow. If anyone does feel like they have something important to add, they can do so while in twilight.

No, I'm not really talking about changing the outcome. I definitely think this is pretty much set and correct.
But I would be interested to hear everybody's views on jobo, on how this day went, and on any other matters they feel should be addressed before the day ends. Remember, we as a town are constantly building evidence.
What do you really know, as of the end of Day 1, about Nom_Anor, AlphaInsidious, StormBlind, Cyan, tordeck, dracofaust, or Wrath_of_DoG? I suspect very little, since each of them has not posted much content at all. And this is not their fault: Day 1 in my last game lasted three weeks, in this one it lasted three days. There are all sorts of reasons these people might have been unable to do much content posting in these three days, and now we've missed out on any of that content until the next Day--possibly forever if one of these people dies during the night.
I like the lynch we chose and I am fairly confident that we hit scum, but we didn't get a chance to learn much about each other today. It passed too quickly, and I don't think that's good for the town. The town loves the day, the scum loves the night. So why not revel in the daylight a little longer?
Lol, your team had information that said I was the SK. Nice read buddy!
Joboman made this exact post in AB Mafia, where he was..not town. I suspect that he's not the 'learn from my mistakes' type.
I have no idea what the current VC is, but I'll be voting Joboman once I see it. Unless he's in claim range, obviously.
Case in point: Cyan has not yet had a chance to read through and see Jobo's claim--or that he has already been lynched (yup, sorry, he's past claim range).
Not that I'm blaming you, Cyan--it's just an example of how rushed this day has been. And again, rushing is not good for the town. Guess this is a little bit late for a lecture now, but hopefully this will be a good reminder for tomorow.

All of which we can handle just fine tomorrow, I just see no need to hold up the game. If those people are not posting because of the weekend (or whatever), then hopefully they can get caught up and be ready to post when Day 2 starts.
I do not like the way that the last two lines of that try to paint this as scummy.

Hold up the game? Really? Have you ever played a game of forum-based mafia where Day 1 ended in 3 days? This is unprecedented among the games I've read through or played in. What, do we need to get this game over in two weeks or something? Waiting an extra couple of days for more consideration would not have killed you. The point is, it could not have hurt and it could very well have helped.
Really? What does the town gain by you repeating something completely obvious that had already been stated twice, and excusing your lack of content in the process?

I don't think he's done that in the town games I've been in with him
but yeah I can get behind a Jobo lynch. I like Cyouni's case and
This doesn't really make any sense at all to me.
Having no idea what that ability does sounds like BS to me and it sounds like you're making things up.

This is L-1. Vote Joboman.

Always have been, always will be.
Still calling it a dubious complement.
First, you started in Basic #14. I started in Basic #10, which ran on for far to long due to scum-me. So that's off.
And second, read the damn post. The long one.
"Oh, he lynched me as town, therefore he can't read me." Again, ad hom.
And someone keeps forgetting that they were cult the second time.
Don't know her flavour particularly well. But I know that I have exact information about my ability.
Also, the flavour and the ability don't connect in any way. One suggests kill-immune, the other suggests a cop variant.
This is something I was trying to point out.
Same. I read through his town games, and I can't remember an example of this.
The first line: "I don't think, I know."
Cyouni, in every game we've been in together you've wanted me dead. No joke. Now how is that being able to "read me"?

You were scum in one, and town, followed by cult in the other.
Also, deflection, ad hom.
Also, why am I arguing with a dead guy?
How is that deflection OR ad hom?!?

His posts since then have said nothing proclaiming his innocence or town alignment though. Which, of course, is very interesting.

This is true. All I can say in my defense is that very little analysis was getting done at that point in the game by anybody. But yes, I probably should have said more than a little smiley and one-liner.
The point I made is that I was giving as much as I could to the discussion. At the beginning of the game, there is no evidence. Therefore it was not a strong post, just all I could do.
Through the joboman translator: "Guys, why wagon against me? How about if I give you this distraction instead?"
Not entirely true. He has tons of motivation to make us think he's told us everything, but very little to actually tell us everything if some of that information might make him look bad. Don't get me wrong, at this point I do think vezok has told us everything, but it was a valid point at the time.
Again through the good 'ol jobo translator: "Uhhhhh you called me. Whoops, can't explain this one."
Fence. Sitting. What ARE you sure of?

While I agree that we should wait so that people should be able to weigh in on this, is that really all you have to say? "I am town?"? At least try to hide your lack of any response. Hint: it makes you look like the scum you are.

Or not, if I get nightkilled.
smoke_Killah
Lol, your team had information that said I was the SK. Nice read buddy!
Joboman made this exact post in AB Mafia, where he was..not town. I suspect that he's not the 'learn from my mistakes' type.
I have no idea what the current VC is, but I'll be voting Joboman once I see it. Unless he's in claim range, obviously.
Oh, he already claimed. And got lynched. Well, guess we will see what we will see.
I do not like the way that the last two lines of that try to paint this as scummy.
smoke_Killah
If jobo flips town, RO looks more town, but not much so.
But it is scummy. As I've just explained.
Yeah, we'll have to see how jobo comes up before we can judge RO. Either way though, it certainly seems like he's eager to get to night.
This post feels extremely forced/unnecessary.
I don't see how it is in any way, shape or form.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
It's been obvious that TACKY was Sylar. Now we will all die.
