Zionite, that was an awesome game. I just wish I'd had more vig shots I agree with Nacho Wizard that it was pretty unbalanced - we made 2 mislynches out of 7 and it was only a freak combination of rules (Sylar getting super strength and the town win-con wording) that got us the win.
Alright AI, I concede that lynching you wasn't necessary. I just hope you get that I was just trying to be cautious, not spiteful. Did you really have a revenge shot?
Very well played though - by the time we figured you out, it was too late to kill you. You NK choices were solid too.
Also, as I said, I want too nominate DKD for mafia MVP - mostly for excellently not getting lynched early day 1 after quick pressure, and for being the last member to give up. Kpaca put in a seriously lacklustre display there. DKD also helped the town to win, for which I am obviously grateful.
Overall, I think the town played well - better than a number of recent games for sure. I am curious as to who gets the town MVP.
LOL.
AI gets the SK MVP.
I think this was the impossible SK.
He was untargetable. He was un NKable. And he was unlynchable. How do you go through that?
Also I wanted to suggest something before I got killed but forgot.
You could have put AI to revive someone at random too prove he will help the town.

DKD played very well. In response to Cyouni, Nacho Wizard also claimed a bit-part character - and both DKD+NW had been pretty townie from a behavioral point of view. It was only when DKD attacked me that I became convinced he was scum (from having just been scumbuddies with him in Basic #21).
As for AI, I think what did it for me was the mess up with my role, which led me to believe that Zionite could have easily mixed up AE and AI. Regardless, we became distracted by having "caught" draco, and then just by the ridiculously scummy play of SB. By the next day it was too late, we had to kill scum.
@vezok: I was really worried about you for the longest time given my win condition, and I was actually a little bit worried that no one else seemed to care.
I disagree that I put in a lackluster display. More than likely either me or dkd was getting lynched via process of elimination, and we know that we couldn't win if Sylar was alive and we also couldn't NK him so my option was......................try and get him lynched. If nothing else hopefully I'd die and then he'd get lynched the next day and DKD could pull out a win. I would say you have put forth a lacklustre effort then as well.

I was pretty disappointed that AI used the same defense when he got killed that the mafia had used when I got killed, but no one even seemed to notice.

No, I would have done exactly the same thing myself, which is why it was tricky arguing with you. Also, note that I thought I was lying because I really did think I would be the only winner once I became unlynchable; Zionite tricked me.
Thanks for the compliment. It was a good thing that the scum got lynched so quickly because otherwise I might have had a hard time evening out the numbers.

Yeah, he did a good job keeping his head down until the end there.

I'd give it to Cyouni for the slam-dunk Archmage Eternal lynch (the awesome role helps). I also agree that the town deserved the victory (strange as it may be) for only mislynching twice in seven Days.

I knew I was caught, and I just wanted to take AI down with me because I figured he was lying about his wincon and he couldn't win with the Town. It turns out I was both right and wrong.

I seem to have a problem with crafting endgame situations wherein I'm not obvscum via PoE. This game has truly been a huge learning experience for me in that regard.
Awesome game!!!! I want in for the next volume.
I'm kinda surprised the town won. Didn't think we could win with sylar. I saw that the mafia didn't NK the night that sylar killed ted. Was this intentional?
About when AI did his mistake. At that point I was almost completely sure he was SK, but I had researched for sylar the previous night (and got delayed by hiro) and I thought that I could let him live another day to be sure he was SK. The night I was killed, I researched doctor. So if i had lived that day I would've gotten both linderman and sylar T_T.

Except you claimed, and that ruined your chances. =P

That Night was sweet. Without saying a word, the mafia and I coordinated our targets so we both took out one of the last remaining power roles that could actively affect the game state.

Only to secure our fate... We figured we could get you lynched the next day, only we failed to see that the Town would lose if they lynched you...
@Zionite: Would The Haitian's ability have blocked Sylar through Invisibility? It's something that I thought about a lot throughout the game.
Just got back from vacation. Sad that we lost, but I had a lot of fun in this game and was frustrated that I had to leave. I still don't understand why AI got Claire's ability when I blocked WoD. To my knowledge I should have blocked him from taking that ability and that would have made a great difference in our ability to handle him (seeing as we knew who he was). Don't either understand how he won with the town but I guess I'll have to do some more reading.
@Cyan: I don't really get why you were so convinced I was scum from my interactions with RO (looking at the spec forum here). I would have maintained that killing you after you were suspicious RO was scum would be WIFOM as town as well, because it is. Also what I said about RO's behavior being exactly the same as his other town games was completely true and I'm dissapointed you didn't check that out (I had looked over RO in Joss Whedon and found almost word for word instances of things you proclaimed was scummy of him here, there as well. You were right that he (and I as well) was scum but I felt that a lot of your reasons for thinking so were flawed.
Great game by DKD - I look forward to being scum with you again. Thanks for the game Zionite, I really enjoyed it and am sorry I had to replace out.

You forgot that AI had Invisibility, and therefore was immune to your block. The only reason his kill succeeded is BECAUSE you blocked Claire's power from working. Otherwise his kill would not have gone through and Claire would've lived the night.

Okay.

since your ability requires you target someone to block them, you can't actively block someone who is untargetable. You can however, still affect an untargetable if say, they target you and you're using your ability.
I figured that last part would apply to the person I targeted as well. He's untargetable but I didn't target him, therefore he should still be blocked.

This was my thought as well. I figured he used his concentrated kill on Claire and got through the block that way. But then again, I also thought your block would get through invis anyways so what do I know?
Great game by DKD - I look forward to being scum with you again.
Thanks, that really means a lot. And thanks to Eco and TheIceMan as well for the kind words. It's nice as a newer player to get some positive feedback.

Not untargetable. He can be targeted. Non-kill actions fail against him.
Untargetable was what falkonn lied about in his claim, but you didn't read the ability after he died where it said "non-kill actions fail". I answered your questions about someone who would theoretically be untargetable, remember?

yeah, after that conversation I continued to assume he was untargetable. Evil of you.
Kpaca - Man, I'd been reading Syrenz as town for so long. Also, WIFOM, but why would he get replaced out if he was so close to winning as scum? I guess it must have been a huge personal emergency, but I just didn't see scum not wanting to see this game through in this situation.
yeah, I really wanted to see this game through the finish but I had other things that had priority.
Nah. We lost Peter cause the mafia blindly shot at him. This happened to couny too.
Peter was our only blind shot (as you can see in the mafia quicktopic below). We deduced that TACKY was a protective role, that WoD was Claire and that Cyouni was cop and accurately killed all of them (after that was massclaim).

Since its a non-kill action I believe it wouldn't affect a player with Invisibility.
Fair enough. Mechanically that makes perfect sense, but flavor made me think otherwise - hence my confusion. Glad we never went that route then.
