I agree that lynching luck is suboptimal today. I am very confused about what's been going on at night honestly. I can't reason out night one's doubleblock. I think that SA is anti-town, and honestly, I don't like luck's claim. I think that either SA or ravus are on the block today.
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.

Well, I think the only option is to believe luck is town. If he's scum, we're screwed because there's no possible way for us to win unless either you or Ravus have night kill, which I don't believe you do, at least not one for the town.
He said that he's unlynchable as long as another member of his faction is alive. That means that if we string up the other scum, we can lynch him. I don't think that his ability is pro-town at all, but we need to get the other scum first.

I don't think it's too likely that scum would take their scumbuddy up to L-1 though. I also don't think they'd make the first vote for their scumbuddy. That means that he is probably town. However, that could just be reverse psychology...
Alright then, do you think it should be SA or Ravus then? I'm leaning towards SA for now.

You cannot be lynched as long as another player of your faction lives. If you receive enough votes to be lynched, the Day ends in a No Lynch instead. Note that you may still die via other means and any other actions still affect you.
That is why am I'm a town evangel.
That sounds a lot like "oh, lynching me is useless, so don't do it please", but I'm not sure I want to take that chance, given that it seems a good parallel to AE's claim... :erk:
I suppose if Luck can't be lynched, we ought to get Auron, as he has been the next scummiest player. Then we can lynch Luck.
Quote from Kid »
I agree with SA, pending claim by ravus
I am going to be honest with you, as not doing so would be get me lynched anyway. I have gone out of my way to avoid claiming--not because I am scum, but because my role looks particularly suspicious, and I would almost certainly get lynched for it. I can't be the target of abilities, and my guild is obviously the most suspicious (Dimir).
The flavour is that I can't be seen, being the "guild of shadows", and is a role that interested me very much until I realized claiming would likely ☺☺☺☺ me. I can't be nightkilled, so I am a counter to the mafia, but my guild could easily lead me to being mislynched.
Now, I don't know how to convince you not to lynch me tomorrow, given that if I am scum I would win if not lynched, but it's between Luck and I now (lynching Auron is the most obvious choice for tonight), and a mislynch would be fatal to the town. All I can do is urge you to lynch Luck, the scummier player.

The night kill flavors don't match to selesnya...Dimir seems much more likely to make them disappear... Not too major, but definitely makes me think Ravus is likely scum

That does seem pretty mod-gamey, given that just RFG'ing them makes more sense game-wise than stating outright that they got saproling'd to death. And don't the mafia as a whole usually have the nightkill, not just the one player?

Sir Auron25 (3): Apokalypse Kid, Ravus, Gigas1 Apokalypse Kid (1): Sir Auron25
Not Voting (1): Lucknorris
With the disappearance of Cyouni, the surviving representatives struggle to determine who among them betrayed their fallen comrades. Apokalypse Kid reveals that he was attacked during the Night and prevented from moving and Sir Auron25 admits to having committed the deed. Lucknorris is soon under suspicion as joboman had claimed to have investigated him the same night he was mysteriously revived. Disbelieving joboman's words, Sir Auron25 and Ravus pressure Lucknorris to reveal his identity.
"We are the holy evangels of Mat'Selesyna, the Chorus of the Conclave. No ancient blade can pierce our conviction or weaken our resolve, grown from the Seeds of Strength. We shall stand and fight against the evildoers no matter the cost. May Her will be done."
~ Lucknorris
Ravus is soon called upon to reveal his identity as well.
"I'm sure you've heard of me, even if you didn't believe that I existed. The Tenth Guild, the Guild of Shadows, the Dimir. Our organization has many names, but our operatives are quite undetectable. Under other circumstances, only when I Consult the Necrosages do I make my presence known. That I revealed myself to the rest of you demonstrates my good faith and desire for peace."
~ Ravus
Apokalypse Kid, hearing enough, decides that the one guilty of striking him down must also be the one guilty of treason against the Guildpact. Sir Auron25 is frozen in place as the Gaze of the Gorgon petrifies his body. Ravus turns to Gigas1 and mimes slitting his own throat with his thumb. Gigas1, eager to comply, picks up the Sword of the Paruns once more. The enchanted blade sings beautifully as it shatters the stoned form of Sir Auron25. As he is destroyed, Sir Auron25's mouth somehow utters one final message.
"Master...how could you...?"
~ Sir Auron25
Before the rocky dust even settles, the Transguild Courier quickly makes its way over to the fragmented remains of Sir Auron25 and discovers that the fallen delegate wore an eye mask and was suspended in a hovering chair, proving that he was the blind and physically frail leader of the Azorius Senate. Also on his person is a scroll containing some kind of contract written in what appears to be blood. Though the document is penned in a lost language that makes it impossible to fully dechiper, the large script at the bottom of the parchment clearly states the intent of the slain legislator.
"THE GUILDPACT MUST FALL."
~ Sir Auron25's contract
Confident that they had chosen correctly, the others make their way to their quarters, eager to end the grisly business the following Day.
Night Four ends no later than 11:59pm EST, Saturday March 27th.
Please send in Night actions early if possible. If you decline to use a Night action, please PM your moderator with this decision.
As dawn breaks over the plane of Ravnica, the representatives return to the Great Hall of Prahv, uncertain and unrested. Only three appear this time, and Apokalypse Kid's absence is immediately noted. Hoping against hope, the delegates search the halls to no avail, and Apokalypse Kid joins claytonthegreat and Cyouni among the missing and presumed dead.
"Apokalypse Kid's bloodthirst worried me, but I doubt the betrayers would banish one of their own. With only three of you remaining, you must put your minds to work and determine which is guilty. Failure to choose correctly will doom us all. May the spirits of the fallen guide your hands."
Well, this is interesting... I expected to be the night kill. Not sure who it is at this point, so I'm going to reread the thread. Hopefully we can catch the scum(As in... hope I don't screw up).
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
As hard as I might have tried to post here on Saturday, something always comes up. This weekend I was coerced into assisting in the building of a fence. Way too much digging. In the sun.
Nice attempt at dissuasion. If there were three scum, surely you'd've won last night, no?
Quote from Gigas »
AI, could you mod-prod Ravus and/or Lucknorris?
Again, sorry, I tried to post Saturday.
But honestly, showing up so late, I was expecting to be lynched, as I was horrified that you (Gigas) were going to vote for me.
Vote: Lucknorris.
It's down to Gigas' decision. Victory for the town or mafia comes down to his vote (as surely Luck will vote for me... that he hasn't already is interesting). Nothing more I can really do but point to the evidence against the both of us. Luck's been acting fishy all game long, and the case against me is that the nightkilling "seems appropriate for Dimir", which I would still argue doesn't hold any weight.

I assure you that if I voted for you it would NOT be based on gaming the mod. I will make that promise. I'm probably going to present a case against each of you, then let each of you try to defend yourself. Might take me a bit, though.
Alright, right now I'm getting the impression that LN is newb town. I'll post some more later. An EXTREMELY minor part of my case is having 2 unkillable townies seems a bit odd... Currently working on a post for another game, will post more here in a bit.
LuckNorris: Please answer or post or you will be lynched. 2 major questions:
1. Are you cult?
2. How many games have you played in before this?
3. Is there any part of your ability you didn't tell us about?
I'm not sure if asking whether he's cult is necessary. I don't think that he is, but even if he was, what motivation would he have to tell the truth about it?
I don't much like the second question, either, but I guess that's mostly my own personal line of thinking as to playing this game.

Town and cult would both win in that case? Don't cult win only when "only their folk remain"? Oh well, it's irrelevant.

Like I alluded above, I don't hold to the "just because he's new means he's newb-town", as I was never accused of such a thing the first few times I played the game.

Yeah, I was surprised by that too. I asked AI about it, and he said they would both win. Just wanted to know if he was new or not for if there are somethings people with experience should do, but he didn't due to lack of experience.
Ummm... I DID claim, but that should be irrelevent at this point. I'm obviously town, if I wasn't you'd be dead and I would win. Either you or Ravus are scum.
Yet again, starting after I leave this afternoon, I'm going to be pretty inactive until Monday, barring a potential stop by on Saturday morning (which of course I'll try, but I'm not going to promise anything). Just a heads up. Fortunately there's no rush.

Well, the only really scummy thing about Ravus was what SA did day 4, going right after his vote. Lucknorris's lack of a vote somewhat worries me, and he hasn't been acting very wellly for the town, so I am going to have to hope that I have this right and Vote: Lucknorris. If I'm wrong, sorry everybody and good job Ravus. If I'm right, I want a cookie.
Lucknorris (2): Ravus, Gigas1 Not Voting (1): Lucknorris
Following the disappearance of Apokalypse Kid, Gigas1 (Borborygmos - Town Vigilante) realizes that the fate of Ravnica rests on his shoulders. His mother always told him to trust his gut, and he knew from the beginning of the blood-stained summit that Ravus (Szadek, Lord of Secrets - Mafia Infiltrator) had to be guilty. From his shifty eyes and cold sneer to the way he held back when things got hairy, everything about him emanated the aura of evil. And yet as the Day drags on, Gigas1 begins to doubt those wise words. While Ravus eagerly attacks Lucknorris (Chorus of the Conclave - Town Evangel), the dryad simply stands there, quietly watching Gigas1 and waiting for his decision. As the sun begins to set beyond the distant rooftops, Gigas1 decides that Lucknorris's silence must be an indication of a guilty conscience, and hefts the Sword of the Paruns one final time. With a mighty slash, Gigas1 brings the enchanted blade down on Lucknorris, but the cold steel strikes an invisible barrier, which could only be the Evangel's shield of faith. Convinced that this is a sign of Lucknorris's innocence, Gigas1 turns to attack Ravus. However, the sinister vampire is no longer hiding in the shadows. Ravus sneaks up behind Lucknorris and sinks his fangs into the flesh of the dryad. With an ear-splitting scream, Lucknorris's mind is drained by Ravus, who feasts on the Selesnyan Guildmaster's psychic energy with zeal. Horrified, Gigas1 charges to attack Ravus, but Ravus simply uses the dying dryad as a shield, deflecting Gigas1's weapon. The Parun of the Dimir then disintegrates Lucknorris's soulless husk, and quickly whispers an arcane spell. Gigas1 finds his vision completely obscured, his eyes swathed by a Clinging Darkness. In an instant, the cyclops is reminded of the gruesome night his mother died, torn to shreds by an Undercity Shade. Driven mad with guilt and fresh grief, Gigas1 turns the Sword of the Paruns on himself, ending his life with a bright spray of crimson.
With a diabolical laugh, Ravus opens a rift to Agyrem and summons the ghost of Sir Auron25.
"Augustin, we have some unfinished business to attend to..."
~ Ravus
And with that, Ravus and the ghost of Sir Auron25 planeswalk away from Ravnica, their destination unknown.
To be continued...
Congratulations to Ravus and Sir Auron25 on their victory.
The Google Group is now open to the public. Roles and Night actions are posted there.
I made some last-minute changes to the setup that were a bit heavy-handed (making two townies secretly millers and making the doc secretly a jailer, among others) after I sent out the role PMs () because I didn't think the town could conceivably lose with the roles as they were. In retrospect this cost the town the game. My apologies. Next time I'm going to make damn sure I have a balanced setup before I send out role PMs.
A bit funnier if you know the back story... On the night I used my ability, it originally said Kill: Apokalypse Kid. A day(not game time) later, I realized that was dumb, and sent AI another PM saying it was a typo, and it was supposed to say Kill: SP. Unfortunately, I managed to actually typo that into Kill: SA, so had to report an actual typo...
That was definitely my first time playing scum and I definitely thought I screwed up early on. I think I tried to hard to act town, but at least i learned. I think I did a decent job staying alive as long as I did (considering that Ravus and I kept thinking that I'd be lynched the next day).
