Kpaca's argument is logically sound. You're all correct that I could be scum that gains an ability when dead. But if that were the case, I'd still be dead scum, and that hurts the scum no matter how you slice it.
Whereas, being dead vanilla town hurts the town very little. Especially if said death occurs via daykill.
You are fearmongering by saying we have to do it right now or it will negatively impact us because we have a deadline!
I am advocating something called prudence.
Prudence
Pronunciation: \ˈprü-dən(t)s\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Latin prudentia, alteration of providentia — more at providence
Date: 14th century 1: the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason 2: sagacity or shrewdness in the management of affairs 3: skill and good judgment in the use of resources 4: caution or circumspection as to danger or risk
I am saying we wait until everyone comes in and gives us their input and such before we decide to kill Cyan. I fail to see how what I am suggesting is either fearmongering or a bad thing.
@Zionite: QQ moar?
Main Entry: direct action
Function: noun
Date: 1912 : action that seeks to achieve an end directly and by the most immediately effective means
Also QQ moar means "cry some more". Basically he is telling you in a round about way that you are being either obtuse or overly whiney.

@Bilbrox: Does your kill send your target to the spirit world, or does it completely remove them from the game?
We can assume if he offered it that it sends them to the spirit world. If not, he is obv anti-town, and our only price is a vanilla cyan. Still seems mostly win to me.

That all you got to say then don't post. Please and thank you.
I thought it was obvious what I was trying to say. you just OMGUSed someone badly. I'm pretty sure whoever coined OMGUS had exactly this retaliatory vote in mind.
Votes on DV include Ged, Cyan, myself and Kpaca. Just tossing out the warning.
@Skander: Going to shoot the OMGUS load at DV, but don't vote for him? Now that there's some more scummitude.
Hah, you beat me to it. But yeah, I was thinking the same thing in your first line (that there's no point bringing him too close to a lynch when we have other stuff to do then) but then realized there weren't too many votes on him.
I got wagoned really fast. This is only post 126 and I have 5 votes on me. And it was made by a bunch of players that consistently jump to conclusions.
I argue the validity of this case since I oppose something simply because the rest of the town is being left out of the loop. And for some reason wanting to listen to the masses is considered scummy. O yeah, saying something is scummy does not make it so. And Jobie totally bandwagoned me and I have seen plenty of players vote for that reason and nobody says anything. Not that it is omgus. But then again the only people that are posting are on my wagon. Coincidence? I think not.
Furthermore, after a lot of though I vote for killing Cyan. Simply because we either have a dead scum or a townie that can help us. This is kpaca's point and I find it an extremely good point.
@ Cyan seriously what the hell was that last post totally worthless.

You are misrepresenting this. It's not that you wanted to hear other people's opinions -it's that you said that you're not sure about killing Cyan and that we should wait for other people to check in... and then said that you're fine with killing him.
And Jobie totally bandwagoned me and I have seen plenty of players vote for that reason and nobody says anything. Not that it is omgus. But then again the only people that are posting are on my wagon. Coincidence? I think not.
I'm not sure what the last sentence is supposed to imply but as far as the Jobie thing went, yeah you totally OMGUSed him. I don't know what other times you're talking about though.
Everyone jumping on D_V is really funny. I would put money on the fact that there's at least one blood-hungry newbish scum in the wagon.
Also, don't see much point in killing Cyan right now. Let's say for kicks and giggles that he's vanilla town that beefs up when deadified. Offing him is then a good thing.
However, that doesn't mean that nothing bad can come of lynching/daykilling/deah-by-rabbit-ing him. If he's vanilla-ish scum that gains some beyond-the-grave power when dead, that seriously hurts the town. Or some neutral with a gained ability.
And those who are saying this should slow down? Are they wrong? Of course not. Some haven't even checked in. And here we're ready to arm a guy based on absolutely nothing but a game mechanic.

Naya Overenthusiast; Because there is such a thing as too much enthusiasm.
Alright, I got my clarifications. I am a townie aligned neutral with a daykill. I need to perform daykills to be brought back to life. I need to be alive at the end of the game to be eligable to win.
I am hesitant with day killing cyan.... I just feel like we are moving to fast and that Bill should listen to the majority of the rest of this before killing Cyan or some one else. That being said I am alright with Cyan being killed.
Cyan should be killed vote count.... DV, Skander, Cyan, Zionite,
WTF, Fake Daykills are old, And i really hope this is old.
I am just saying that I want a majority of us to agree with this before we do this, because I have a bad feeling about this. I agree with it, I just have this feeling that we should agree with it before it happens.
I mean why should anyone be killed. I know Cyan claims to gain abilities, but how do we know that he isn't A) a jester(don't game the mod and say well he said crap), B) he is a neutral with some sort of ability that needs him to be dead to fulfill his WC maybe not a jester but something else, C) A scum that knows that he will benefit from being dead.
Actually now that I think about it I want to be off the Kill Cyan list.
I want a name claim from Cyan before we kill him.
Cyan should be killed vote count.... Skander, Cyan, Zionite,
All I am saying is I want the game to slow down. I want to be better able to get a grasp on what is going on in this game before we do anything major like killing off Cyan. I mean not even everybody has posted.
looking at the playerlist, this wont be a slow game.
How is killing him now any different than killing him later? How is it not a good idea to do it now? I for one think it's better to take care of early, especially with a deadline.
While i don;t care when the daykill goes through, this feels like seriously early deadline fearmongering.
Other than the fact that we know Cyan is a smart player and we have a killing ability that we aren't for sure of the alignment of the player and we do not know the ramifications of killing Cyan.
interesting. yep, nothing to convince me otherwise
O yeah. If Cyan is Yusuke Urameshi, I would agree that he would gain abilities if he was killed. I would also agree that he is probably town because of his name claim. But I can't be for certain. I don't know that Anime story line that well.
.......
Game the mod?
Really?
oh, but you have no idea, nice post count raised by one.
How am I fearmongering? Are you now just trying to throw every potential scum tell you can think of (trying to rush, fearmongering, etc) out in a scatter pattern to see what sticks? This seems very forced on your part, and very see-through.
You are also avoiding the facts. If Cyan is town, we lose nothing, probably gain something. If Cyan is scum, we definetly gain something. Why do we not go through with this?
agree
Pre Post Edit:
Don't know how this last quote got out of order, but i don;t feeling like Finding out where it Belongs in this Post.

@ Cyan seriously what the hell was that last post totally worthless.
If people doubt whether or not DV is scum, go look at some of his other games. I mean honestly. He gets lynched regularly. And I'm pretty sure he's been town every other time, so his reaction(s) are easy to track.
He has *never* reacted like he is now. This goes way beyond 'bad player syndrome'. He is 100% acting like a cornered scum.
@AI: Nobody on the DV wagon is a newb. There is one person voting DV currently that I suspect is also scum, but, you have to assume that DV is scum for it to make sense. More on this later.
Obviously it's possible that I could be scum. But I don't think it is likely. As was already stated, a scum that gets powers after being lynched is effectively penalizing the town for making the right play. Nevermind that I'm not 100% certain that anything will happen(though I am 98% certain, to be honest), and that is a ridiculous risk to take as scum.
And honestly, it shouldn't matter. Dead scum is dead scum. No joke, if someone said 'I am scum, I gain an ability if I'm lynched' I would still lynch them without thinking twice about it.
Niv's post is amusing.
I hope Bilbrox shows up soon. It's humorous that effectively everyone had the same 'I'm the SK' read of his post.
Well, no. See burden of proof is on you. I'm pretty sure that you've never even played with one of the people on your wagon. Do you really believe that I consistently don't think things through?
I have never played with you, Cyan, Ged, Kpaca and now Niv? Maybe you should go read some games. Or stop lying to try to win when you are wrong.
That is what you are saying now.
No this is what I was trying to say the entire time. Most of the time I expect people to understand what I mean when I post. I don't want to explain that I mean, I expect people to be independent thinkers. I will stop this and treat you as an idiot if you want me too.
If people doubt whether or not DV is scum, go look at some of his other games. I mean honestly. He gets lynched regularly. And I'm pretty sure he's been town every other time, so his reaction(s) are easy to track.

If you say something is so, it is? Isn't that what you argued against a couple of posts ago?

To add to this, he's reading very much like "LOOK AT ME I'M ACTING LIKE TOWN! ISN'T EVERYTHING I'M DOING SO TOWNIE LIKE! I'M TRYING SO HARD TO BLEND IN WITH THE TOWN! CAN I HAVE MY COOKIE NAO?"
@D_V: Could you please not delete who and what post it's from when you're quoting someone, it's really hard to tell who you're responding to when you do this.
I don't really disagree with that logic. But there's no reason that you couldn't be neutral or SK yourself. And honestly, it's a perfect alignment to benefit from being dead.

No, not really.
He'd kill people without actual knowledge of what they are. If he were to hit 3 town, whether on accident or not, the town is losing the game that much faster.

Good Night all.
Wait, Your Drunk right now? So i guess Vodlka = Crack Now.
Also:
Yes i read your post, but the fact that he has a bad track record does nothing to stop me from agreeing with his statments/comeing to the same conclusion. and all your post does is try to discredit cyan's read on you, and dosen't do anything to actually defend your actions.
@DV: Nobody 'lies' about information that other people can just go look up. I remember you being lynched more than twice, but you could be right. Maybe I just remember you being under suspicion alot, but you didn't always get lynched. Obviously you've played more than two games.
And you're right, I get it wrong alot of times. But not every time. And that defense is a scum defense. Just FYI.
And you 'convinced' me that you were town in Tales by doing something that a scum would NEVER be dumb enough to do, and randomly getting lucky when the flavor provided by the Mod made it hard for me to figure out my own night action, and then you were able to easily lie about it. And I eventually figured out that you lied, but sadly I was already dead.
@AI: If I'm neutral that wants to be lynched, there are easier ways to go about it than suggesting that I be lynched. I know how that reads, but when you suggest that people lynch you, they immediately become suspicious(understandably). My suggestions have obvious pro-town intent, whereas if I didn't have the town's best interests in mind, I would simply act as scummy as possible, make some dumb claim, and hope I got lynched. The way I approached it makes it less likely that a townie is going to make themselves look bad, or that scum will make themselves look good.

Then remember Tales of Fantastic? Where I was scum and convinced you I was town. But YOU can read me o boy you can read me. You are so right it hurts the town and everyone else.
Erm, Jobie? Have you played with him? Also, you did not answer my question.
...
If you say something is so, it is? Isn't that what you argued against a couple of posts ago?
No but then the same goes to you.
Wow, It's rare that people actually enjoy reading ply posts.
also:
the statement is pure fact here.
What?
Mabye you wouldn't have to reëxplain yourself if you made sence to begin with.
just a thought.
thanks.
Millionaires, I hear it's good Music (Disclaimer: lyrics not PG-13) Thanks, CC
@D_V: Could you please not delete who and what post it's from when you're quoting someone, it's really hard to tell who you're responding to when you do this.
Additionally,
Wait a second....
Lastly,
But that's not important.

You can but I'd say you are very wrong about me. Also Ged. So your statement isn't really true/only applies to 1-2 of your voters.
OK.
I don't really disagree with that logic. But there's no reason that you couldn't be neutral or SK yourself. And honestly, it's a perfect alignment to benefit from being dead.

Well this feels like nothing but slight Adhom to Discredit. such a good defence.
Another "interesting defence"

and if he is nutral, shouldn't he negativally benifit everyone equally?

Good Night all.
Did you read what Cyan wrote? He has a bad track record with me and yet he acts as if he knows how I play.
No, not really.
He'd kill people without actual knowledge of what they are. If he were to hit 3 town, whether on accident or not, the town is losing the game that much faster.

Millionaires, I hear it's good Music (Disclaimer: lyrics not PG-13) Thanks, CC
