I'm not sure I'm going to bother making a case on you. People in this game have repeatedly shown disinterest in such things.
Glaring flaw with this post I just noticed.
If you truly think I'm scum, as you seem to indicate in your little OMGUS attack , where is your own natural curiosity?
You're not interested in finding out for yourself what's lurking in my history?
And what's up with this buttering me up crap. The "do you think I think" those tactics would work on you stuff. Pffft.
Seriously though. As soon as I start saying that I'm not certain of my read about you, you back off of any desire to check me out. Most blatant OMGUS reaction I've seen in a good long time. He attacks me, I attack him. He backs off of me? "Ok, no problem, not interested."
And you also drop your "acting strangely point" without the slightest explanation.
@Kraj: I'm interested in your case on Azrael. Also, of the two games I thought I recalled you making sarcastic remarks like you did above (Herbs and Spices and The Greenwood Affair), I can't seem to find what I recalled. I'll do some deeper digging unless you happen to know the last time you made a post like 703?
I really like Az's #715. Especially the part about how Kraj is only interested in trying to prove to others that Az is scum without actually bothering to find it himself if that is true.

It's possible Skander and WoD should no longer be on my cleared list.
Look Harder List:

Cyanfinity
Kraj
Meh
AH - lurky
Skander -Erratic and a little anti-town, but probably natural.
Wrath_of_Dog- Fairly natural, but unusually bandwagony this game.
Cleared Azrael (obv)
ChrisXIV DYH (both players natural, DYH just scares me.)
PhantomS (natural)
Toastboy Pale Mage (Toastboy natural, Pale Mage needs to post more)
I was doing some Xyre-wagon research this afternoon while we're waiting on Kraj. Found a couple things.
AH, you never responded to this post:

Abnormal behavior, especially when it doesn't positively affect the town, is a good indicator.
I'm astounded you didn't vote for me earlier, if that's the case.
There's an important distinction between abnormal town behavior and normal scum behavior. I've found it useful to look at both before laying into someone. Would you disagree?
Xyre, if you're looking to attack someone for not going into detail...
Quote from AH »
You asked what games and what alignments. I can't give you that. I can tell you that he's been town with me. Your disconnect seems to be with the idea of general information. I don't remember specifics.
Yeah...I'm not sure about this. Laziness isn't a tell, but this reads like he doesn't want to give specifics, and doesn't care that much about the read either.
Quote from WoD »
Breaking news. I'm not drunk.
And I'm counter-claiming you, scum.
Unvote, Vote kpaca.
Hrmm. I'd forgotten how strong the wording is here, hrm.
The one thing that I wondered about on reread was WoD's statement that "he could vouch for PhantomS somewhat". Probably should be taken at face-value as a sloppy way of saying that he could vouch for his ability, but I wondered for a moment if it wasn't trying to cover his butt with Phantom, in case Phantom was taken down. Meh. Clear as mud.

When I said "somewhat" I meant that if it came down to it, I could claim the fact that I'm his mason buddy, but not provide confirmation of his alignment.
Hence, vouch for him, somewhat. I thought it was pretty clear, really.
Actually, I've been thinking more about what Xyre actually got lynched for. I don't get it. You asked me what was the fatal flaw. That he got lynched for? Don't know. Never understood. The points against him could only be described as mild. In the arguments against him? There wasn't one. Mild things put reasonably, but nothing damning. Xyre answered for himself just fine. Why it wasn't enough I don't know. Where I should have jumped in with a "this point is wrong because of this"? Haha, you're talking to the wrong person. But the point's not that I'm lazy, the point's that you're looking at it the wrong way. Why'd you do it? Why didn't you stop it? I'm terribly afraid we're going to lynch someone out of momentum again. And yes, you're to blame for that, yesterday and today. Vote: Azrael.
But back to the post you asked for an answer to... I don't see a question.
Also, if you can't describe the arguments against him as anything more specific than "mild things", I'm not sure how seriously we can take your argument that it was a sloppy wagon.
Kraj's reaction seems extremely panicky and over the top, and is not what I expect from him as town. Coupled with his effective disappearance, I'm okay with a Vote Kraj

Frankly, the Kraj wagon hasn't developed to the point that I'd be comfortable with a lynch on him. If he doesn't show up, I think the optimal call would be a modkill-not-as-lynch.
I don't expect that AH scum would come out firing at Azrael, of all people, in the midst of the wagon on Kraj. I'm feeling better about him as a result of his previous post.
Kraj obviously needs to get in here and post, and it's been far too long since we've heard anything substantial from PhantomS, either. He basically dropped into to echo the sentiment for Kraj to reveal his case on Azrael, but nothing in the days before or after that post.
I still have not been able to pinpoint where I've seen Kraj be that abrasive in a particular post, although I know I've seen it before; I'm hoping he recalls what that instance might have been.

Did a quick review on PhantomS. There's a couple of posts that make me itch, but overall I'm not convinced. WoD's vote on kpain still makes me lean town on him despite Kraj's earlier point.
I don't care for how quickly the Kraj wagon grew.
Azrael is still probably town. Probably.
I'd still like to see AH dead. Seems unlikely he'll be lynched today, so if someone could shoot him that would be fantastic.
DYH is not giving me scum vibes. If he's scum, he isn't doing the things that normally grab my attention.
I'm moving back to Netfinity/Cyan. Stuff from yesterday and Cyan seems off to me. His posts are coming off as minimalist to me. Cyan often leaves things out of his posts regardless of his alignement, but he's doing it moreso here and it feels unnatural.

In light of this post, I'm more than happy to join you while we wait for further mod-action.
Unvote, vote: Cyan.
Cyan: I'd also prefer if you want into more detail about the panick you saw in Kraj's post than simply citing the entire thing. That didn't tell me anything more than I already knew.
I've responded to jer's prod privately and put the decision in his hands, but publicly I'd like to issue an apology. Recently I became extraordinarily frustrated and then utterly apathetic about this game, and in the process I lost my regard for the other players, and for that I'm sorry. The responsible side of me says I should finish what I started, but frankly I can't stand the way this game has gone and I have absolutely no desire to continue.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
The Golden Rule of forums: If you're going to be rude, be right. If you might be wrong, be polite.
As Azrael pointed out the countervote and everything related to it seems merely aimed at antagonizing Azrael and the defense consists on discrediting Azrael without actually having to back up the vote. The "might be scum"-comment is a nice example of such a behavior.
I'm confident switching around my vote due to the fact that the earlier FoS already was a placeholder for the second vote I could not spare - that combined with Kraj getting worse and Skander actually making sense in the argumentation leading from vote to unvote.
I hope this qualifies as explanation, because honestly the first three words should suffice.
greetings
Z
This might be a little weak, but I'm also troubled by this vote.
The entire bolded section is spent excusing his vote. Not persuading others, but trying to make sure that other players don't suspect him for switching over to Kraj.
I think Charmandez may be more readable than the Cyan side of Cyanfinity, and this quoted tell may be better, so at some point I can see myself switching back to Zasz. But for the moment I'm happy to assist Pale Mage.
I thought you were being more sarcastic, Kraj, I certainly don't think anyone took offense to it. I'm not sure why you'd think it's a problem, unless you mean by the apathy part you've hung up the game - which frankly, it's been hung up for quite awhile. A multitude of replacements is hard to overcome.
With that said, I'd much prefer you continue on then get another replacement in here.
I understand where PM is coming from with his Cyan comments, but in the context of this game, the walls of text early seem to put off anyone from TL;DRing. Cyan's playstyle has changed recently, but even considering that I'm not seeing the usual signs I do when he's scum. He's still contributing, and he's commenting on the major topics of the game. Minimalist it may be, but I don't think it's scum-Cyan.
I think using past scum behavior as a meta defense to clear someone because they're now acting differently is some of the most unreliable evidence as you can find.
Even presuming the basic assertion (that the behavior is different) is accurate, players continually try to adapt and improve their scum behavior. Change between scum patterns of behavior is to be expected.
It seems much more useful to consider whether his behavior seems close to his townie patterns of behavior, which are relatively more stable, and puts us back on a footing where we can check for traditional tells, and rule out his bad habits as town as evidence.
On that score, I don't see much that would inspire me to rule him out.

While I can empathize with this, I'd still like you to push yourself and post a response to Az.
Az is scaring me with his hopping to Cyan. Az didn't comment about that post until after PM voted Cyan but if it it was enough of a reason to vote Cyan I would figure it would get more than a request for elaboration and then silence. Of course, Cyan ignored the second request for elaboration so maybe it should cancel out.
Az, I don't understand how I am on your "watching list" now when I was literally oozing townie tells D1. You were quite emphatic abut your confident town read on me D1; what changed your mind?

My initial Cyan wagon kinda sputtered, so yeah, I'm returning to it and paying more attention to him purely based off PM's instigation. My observations are my own, my reason for taking a second look is that.

Constant process of reevaluation. Went back on reread, and I grew less confident in my first-impression read.

Well obviously. But I just don't see how you can go from a such a strong degree of certainty to being unsure.
I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to point out, the whole post just reads as very desperate, to me.
Bits that stand out to me in particular:
Quote from Kraj »
Not sure? You suppose? This looks an awful lot like something you just attacked me for.
What happened when you attacked me day 1? I went toe-to-toe with you and you backed off. You think I'd rather employ diversion tactics than convince you? You think I think I could actually scare you off with cheap tricks?
And there's this bit of giant OMGUS + bravado:
No it's not; but your analysis is assuming that I should also be assuming you're town. Just because you know it could result in lylo doesn't mean I do, but you're analyzing my state of mind when making the 'joke plan'.
You know what? Let's make this a case of me or you. At least this should be interesting.
Unvote, Vote: Azrael
And then he says:
Anyone think I haven't been playing strangely?
Which has nothing to do with what he was responding to in the first place.
Look on the bright side; if PhantomS doesn't show up soon, we'll have a modkilled scum.
This is pretty sad for a game with this many 'analysts' in it, but the reality is that all the replacements have really killed the momentum.
I like where my vote is, and I don't care for the Cyan wagon that's started. Regardless of Azrael thinks about my thought process to get there, I've played in more games with him (Cyan) than anyone, so I feel good about that read.
Look on the bright side; if PhantomS doesn't show up soon, we'll have a modkilled scum.
Well, we'll get information, which would be nice. PhantomS flipping scum fits nicely into my "if you have four players in a sub-group (unconfirmed masons in this case) then one of them is scum" theory. Some of what's been put in the thread today confirms that it is a group of four and not larger as I suspected it might be.
This is pretty sad for a game with this many 'analysts' in it, but the reality is that all the replacements have really killed the momentum.
There are so many townies behaving badly that it's difficult to get moving. Too many lurkers makes the forest thicker, which we don't want. This is a mini, so there's only so many trees we can burn down safely. I hate that.

My impression from watching Cyan in Matrix was that he's not very comfortable being deceitful. The terseness and lack of specificity in his responses here is interesting, in light of that.

For the record, I didn't even get a prod.
It appears that Kraj doesn't plan on posting further, and I believe that will lead to his modkill, yes? I would like to know the resolution to that before I post further.
Though I'm curious on whether Azrael wanted to reply to Cyan or is happy with the point he made (which is not really persuasive for others by its nature).
There's not much to respond to. His post consists of quotes, labelling, and conclusory statements which he expects us to take as self-evident.
The only meaningful information we glean from that is what I noted: the extreme terseness of the reply.
At any rate, this game requires an extreme mod-induced kick in the pants. Either that, or the mafia can just concede. That works too.

Kraj isn't the only thing going on in this thread. Keep posting further. Give us your take on Cyan. Make something happen. Reenter the random phase for all I care.
Hydra-vote: PhantomS. While you're at it, you can try to figure out why I just voted for you. Hint: it's more subtle than simple inactivity.
So, is everyone just planning on waiting until there's a modkill? That hardly seems optimal.
Kraj's last post does seem like he's genuinely annoyed at the game, which as scum he probably shouldn't be. Of course it's possible it's all a ploy but I would imagine he would have better odds fighting off the attack. I'm leaning town on him but I really would have rathered he responded, so that we would have more to go off on.
PhantomS sounds like he wants to know if he should bother trying to push for Kraj's lynch or if the mod will do so for him. In other words, he has no interest in actually reading Kraj.
Ok, kpaca will be replacing for Kraj. He's claimed to be following along, so hopefully this should help get things moving again. This will be the final replacement, and I'm only doing it because I'm hopeful that getting someone who's an active poster in the game might increase interest. Further periods of prolonged inactivity will be met with modkill, so be forewarned.
