TMT ponders SO's claim, and quickly follows the lead to this "scifipedia". A quick scan of the place reveals much more than SO let on.
SO mentions that his character has no super powers, but conveniently fails to mention the sentence prior to it that mentions that his gas mask not only hides his identity, but protects him from his own weapon:
"He employs his 'gas gun', which emits gas to put people to sleep, or place them into a hypnotic trance in which they reveal their secrets."
Furthermore, Dagger's correct. A miller should always claim on Day 1. No exceptions.
TMT lunges at the cornered villain and brutally votes him with his incredible strength!
unvote, vote Some One
EWP: Yet another villain cornered, this time by GR? The plot thickens!
Anyway, in case I'm not here tomorrow, I would like the town to scrutinize both Abandon Hope and Roja for me. Something has been nagging at me about Roja and I think it's pretty telling how AH balked when I talked about partially clearing RR due to the fact he was roleblocked.
Okay, this makes me feel better....my scumdar and scum-hunting skills aren't COMPLETELY worthless.
Just need a little recalibrating. *Tinkers away*

I love Joboman, Poggy, Niv, and Vezok, because, while they may not be the best players, they still try to win. Having fun is the most important thing to a game, but I've learned that if you don't try to win, then you're ruining everyone else's fun.
Before we lynch Some One, I'd like to hear about the flavor that RobRoy and Infinis received last night. It might be important and from what it looks like tomorrow's looking to be a very short day.
...On Infinis: I believed Infinis to be town, judging from my sole experience of playing with him in Battle Royale. It's good that he's more participatory on Day 2 and I would suggest that we give him a few more game days to further analyze his behavior. Suffice to say, he's not very experienced and I don't really see an inexperienced scum going the way he is going right now in this game. On this note, I would like to ask whether Infinis has ever played as scum before in mafia and the comments on that play?
You attack my experience, ie me, not the argument = ad hominem. But at this point, I agree with too many of your other points to suspect that you maliciously added me to the softclaim list.
As an example from the same post one of the points I agree with:
I'm amused that [Shalako], of all people, are talking about terrible reasoning. "Hey, PF's RVS daykill must be serious, therefore I should shoot him to prove that I have a daykill!"
I didn't have to wait. I just wanted to wait with revealing my information. I think, after a day 1 scum lynch, and a missed nightkill on night 1, scums are not likely to bus on day 2, so I waited for Some One to give us some information. I think JqlGirl and Loran are not likely scums. I waited because I'm impatient, and I actually chose today because the Watchmen movie is released today.
And yes, beyond any doubt. Read: I'm not a paranoid cop.
I'm willing to go along with this, especially given Some One's claim back. I'd vote for SO here, but by my count that would put it to L-1, and I don't want him suiciding like Cyan did.

Some One is scum? Awesome. That means we have 2 scum caught today, because Spot is also scum (almost certainly).
Since it seems to be the cool thing to do...I am an information role. I won't claim exactly what I am, but I will say that along with DYH, Spotofprey appears to have targeted Dagger last night. Is that a good enough reason for me to ask Dagger the nature of his information? Heh.
Just look at the end of post 769. Can you say, "I tried to kill Dagger and my shot failed, and my scum buddy is Some One, hence me needing clarification on the someone vs. Some One count." I can say it. I just did.
Wow. This game seems to be going rather swimmingly. On the other hand, the last time I felt like that was Battle Royale... I'd like spotofprey to check in before we go to night, if possible.

Vote Some One
Well, considering that I think the mafia have daytalk in this game, I’d say those flavor statements are very important, and that little speed hammer attempt Infinis just made make me think coming forward with this info in the right choice.
I didn’t want to come out with this, because this information coming from me would be laughed off as a “typical ~Tilde~ rant”. At this point though, if I don’t say it now, I might not get the chance, and if I’m correct it’d be a “Crowning Moment of Awesome” for me.
I’m the Shoveler, town roleblocker. I blocked Infinis last night. That said, the various interactions I’ve seen today led me to believe that Infinis, RobRoy, Loran16 and DYH were scum partners. It’s a lot of notes and suspicions, and I doubt I could really write it down concisely. A re-read of day 2 from my perspective would probably fill you in better.
I’ll point out a few things from my notes though:
1) RobRoy didn’t (and still doesn’t) want to give flavor regarding his claimed roleblock. If he were town, I would think that telling the info would make sense, as it would help clear him and hurt the scum.
2) Loran (and by proxy DYH) jumped down my throat when I put my vote on Infinis today.
3) Loran has been acting as DYH’s mouthpiece all day. That seems unlike him.
4) DYH proposed that Infinis was prison blocked. He wasn’t, I’m a traditional Rb’er. But that’s a sneaky way for him to cast doubt on the player who did RB him when they come out later, as well as garner both RobRoy and Infinis some townie cred.
5) DYH’s “I’m 100% safe from lynch” statement, presumably because he fingered Cyan day 1, but possibly because he’s a godfather?
We need to hear from SoP, then decide which is the better lynch today. Knowing what I've revealed and assuming based on GR's info that only the two of us targeted Dagger, he's a virtual lock for scum. I think that will be the higher percentage play as I suppose it's possible SO could be a miller, although I'm not buying it.
Unvote while we sort this out.
EWP:
Seriously, Tilde? The reason I'm 100% safe from lynch was because of the information I revealed today. I saved Dagger from certain death, and I gathered from his response to my toothpaste question that he was aware he'd been saved. Just wow.
I am going to sleep now, but I'm just going to say one thing.
DYH just claimed a protective role and I can confirm I was protected last night. Above all else, I seriously doubt he is scum. If he is, he would want to kill me in my sleep, not whisk me to a safe place.
I heard a knock at my door and then lights out. Woke up feeling like hell. Thats why I assumed protect since something happened and I survived it.
Vote Some One
That doesn't sound anything at all like a protect. It sounds very much like a role block. The fact that you only revealed it as an attempt to stem the mounting pressure on you and the fact that you tried to pass it off as a doc protect certainly does not make me feel any better about you.
TMT's vote has moved, but he still has plenty of Mega FoS Justice Punches to go around.
FoS Infinis
SO's the play today. SoP is probably a good start tomorrow. But I still think Infinis needs to be dealt with as well.
EWP: I see Tilde has claimed. Gonna go back and look over some things. Right after my cookie break.
Furthermore, Tilde, if you are the TOWN roleblocker, you should be assuming that the SCUM roleblocker is who targeted RobRoy. Unless you believe RobRoy is fabricating the block, he should be just in the "likely cleared" category for you right now.
Seriously, Tilde? The reason I'm 100% safe from lynch was because of the information I revealed today. I saved Dagger from certain death, and I gathered from his response to my toothpaste question that he was aware he'd been saved. Just wow.
You were the low man on my suspicion list (i.e. the least likely to be scum) If Dagger vouches for your townieness, I'll accept that for now. But while I've been observing today I kept seeing the links between you and Loran. Admittedly, it has been mostly one-way (Loran -> DYH) so Loran might have been trying to implicate you for a later mislynch. I'm just posting what I think.
4) DYH proposed that Infinis was prison blocked. He wasn’t, I’m a traditional Rb’er. But that’s a sneaky way for him to cast doubt on the player who did RB him when they come out later, as well as garner both RobRoy and Infinis some townie cred.
DYH posted that after seeking clarification from Infinis, who said the PM indicated he was either protected or roleblocked. Suggesting a jailer effect is hardly unusual. Not sold on Tilde's scum list at all.
Actually, after reading back over what DYH and GR posted regarding SoP and Dagger, I think SoP is the play today. SO can wait till tomorrow.
I'm not getting that at all from Loran's posts. What I'm getting was a legitimate suspicion of Some One, which is looking pretty darn good right now.
Your action and claim has me feeling quite good about you, too. Infinis looked awful in light of yesterday's lynch, and it adds up to the theory I had about a townie RBing him, and the scum RBing RobRoy.
As for you believing the scum have daytalk and are fabricating the block, that seems awfully risky, particularly after having been down a man day one, and that RR looked pretty good in light of the Cyan wagon's revival. I don't think RR is mafia at all.
RobRoy? Are you lurking in the hopes to ninja-lynch Some One?
Yes, I figured that after pointing out that I didn't want to vote him because that would put him to L-1, my next play should be the ninja hammer. [/sarcasm]
1) RobRoy didn’t (and still doesn’t) want to give flavor regarding his claimed roleblock. If he were town, I would think that telling the info would make sense, as it would help clear him and hurt the scum.
I had yet to hear a valid reason for me to do so. You were insisting that the flavour might help, but I didn't see a reason why. I'm reevaluating that in the context of you being a blocker yourself. I'll add on enough to allow people to distinguish your flavour from the block that I experienced last night: I was zapped with electricity.
Actually, after reading back over what DYH and GR posted regarding SoP and Dagger, I think SoP is the play today. SO can wait till tomorrow.

I would certainly want to hear from spotofprey before making a final decision, but right now I'd prefer Some One. If spot was doing the kill last night, he's less likely to be a useful mafia power role. I'd prefer to kill the guy who is less replaceable, and besides, Cubus' information seems more trustworthy.
I'm confused as to why Tilde had to claim today and then name four totally different names (all mostly based on player connections) than the ones that have been named elsewhere.
I'm on the fence on this one, literally.
In my notes, Tilde keeps showing townie points (+s in my notes), and i keep thinking that he has the townie mentality....and then he consistantly targets town players as opposed to the scum (Cyan and now Someone/Spot). The latter trait is the only way i've found in the past is mediocrely reliable at figuring out tildescum. Still, I'm leaning town for now, just because of his all of a sudden claim.
The problem is, as town, Tilde has the same problem as AH, only its more apparent since Tilde posts more...its a complex where he thinks he's far smarter than the town and he sees something the town doesn't.....when of course he's way off base. See Hat mafia for the obvious example.
-----------------------------------------------------
I'd prefer a SomeOne lynch today, with SpotofPrey being up for tomorrow....we've got dead scum on our hands, and the spotofprey thing is less certain. Plus, if there's role info involved, the reasoning behind it can wait until tomorrow I'd think...The only advantage for lynching SoP over SomeOne i can think of is if one is sk and hte other is mafia, but we have a town roleblocker to ensure that's not a problem.
(Plus, we've yet to figure out what sort of scum we're dealing with...we may not be dealing with an Sk/CL at all. Doubt it, but it's possible.)

I completely forgot that Ged mentioned in the rules about setting arbitrary deadlines for each day. His last vote count post mentions the "Falling Sun". We need to decide between SO and SoP soon, and if anyone has important things to say today they need to do it.

I think Post #868 was phrased like that because Ged was expecting a lynch very soon. So unless you know something to the contrary, and are willing to share, then by all means do so.
Based on the rules in the initial post, Some One would still get lynched at this point.

[5] Each day will have a deadline arbitrarily selected be me. If the game reaches the deadline, I'll pretend everyone not voting doesn't exist and check again for a majority. If there is, that person gets lynched. If there isn't, there's no lynch for the day.
I'm not fearmongering. It's a simple fact that each day has a deadline.

Maybe he did just title it like that because he's expecting a lynch soon. But when I saw the title it reminded me of the rule and I went back to check it. I thought it was something worth bringing up.
And yes, SO would get the lynch at this point. But my point was in case of the deadline we should make sure the one we want lynched has the majority of the votes. I'm not trying to rush a lynch, I just want to make sure the one we want lynched has the majority while we finish the day.
Actually, after reading back over what DYH and GR posted regarding SoP and Dagger, I think SoP is the play today. SO can wait till tomorrow.
What about what Some One has said makes you think he is town, or more likely to be town than spotofprey?
Of another note, assuming both are scum, killing Some One first is way better. If spotofprey was relegated to killing last night, it probably means that his abilities are less useful than his allies', if he even has any.

It was not a matter of thinking SO is town, but rather that SoP was caught with his hand in the cookie jar, so to speak. DYH indicated that Dagger was the only one slated to die, and GR indicated that SoP was the only person to target Dagger besides DYH. SO was investigated scum but claims miller. There's a very little chance of either being town IMO, but I felt SO's slim chance of actually being town was slightly more likely than SoP's slim chance. That said, the argument that SO's role is likely more important that SoP's certainly has merit, and I am perfectly willing to concede the point. I have no objection to lynching SO first.
On a completely unrelated note, I'm finding my RP (not to be confused with PR) harder to maintain as the game progresses. It was fun, but it's simply easier and faster to post in a normal fashion. I may still throw Mega FoS Justice Punches from time to time, though.

There is 0 chance that SomeOne isn't scum. Seriously. And with a Town RB, we have the ability to neutralize the other player anyhow....mise well go with the one who was cop investigated....and made a ridiculously crappy miller defense.

Dagger, I'm the one that saved you. It's the reason I asked you about the toothpaste. I know for a fact that you were the only person slated to die last night after all normal effects took place; it's the reason I was skeptical of Infinis' claim of protection, especially since I think I know who the normal doc is, and who he protected.

I can think of several reasons why spotofprey could be town, the most obvious of which is that goatrevolt is lying to some degree.
Cubus has been proven to be telling the truth, I think he has been more trustworthy this game regardless, and his result is far more conclusive than goat's was.
I would, however, like spotofprey to post before night.

Not yet he doesn't. I would be very uncomfortable aiming a vig at spot before he has a chance to defend himself.
I'm off to Chicago now, so my posting will be erratic for the next while. My notes say there are currently 6 votes on Some One. I'll make it 7, so nobody else should vote for him until we're ready for the lynch.
Visited underworld bars and began hurting people. Put fourteen in hospital needlessly. Fifteenth gave me an adress. Did what had to be done. Can say beyond any doubt that Some One is in this conspiracy.
By the way, Some One, you need a stronger lock. That new one broke after one shove.

Without even delving into my own role info (although I won't confirm or deny its relevance), I can point out that Rorschach has no superpowers, yet Cubus clearly has an ability.
I assume here Ced you are talking about the Flavor of the charater in the comic books, not something you know about Cubus. If it's the ladder then i take it you are saying that Cubus is lying..

I think if there is a Vig out there (that isn't spot mind you.) I think it would be better for that player to shoot regardless of what spot says.
I'd say that he should probably shoot, but regardless is a bit much. There's always a chance there's a logical explanation for SpotofPrey being in this situation. Small, but its possible.

Goatrevolt: Are you as certain of SoP's guilt as I am of Some One's?
I would say no. There's an outside chance SoP is town. I'm considering it a highly unlikely chance due to the nature of his play, but there is more of a chance, nonetheless.
The only way Some One could possibly be town is if he really is a miller, because by claiming miller he admits that Cubus would get a guilty targeting him. It's either miller or scum. So in other words...it's scum.
If so, we can lynch SoP today, otherwise, I'd rather not.
Some One is the better lynch. I just wanted to reveal my info before the end of the day in case I got NKed, and to give a possible vig a clear target. I figured the scum would probably be able to catch on that I had info based on the way I hounded Dagger and my questioning of Spot.
I see no reason to disbelieve Tilde's claim. There was a post he made a while back that I chalked him up as town for, but I can't which one it was. At any rate, he claimed to be the town roleblocker. He was not counterclaimed. Unless he is the only roleblocker and RR is lying (unlikely) then Tilde is town.
I'm purposely remaining ambiguous regarding whether I am a tracker or a watcher. If I am a watcher, the scum have to WIFOM who I watch tonight. If I am a tracker, then they can shoot whomever, but they have to be careful about who they choose to make the kill.

Just wow.
V/LA: 3/21-3/24 & 3/27-3/29
DYH just claimed a protective role and I can confirm I was protected last night. Above all else, I seriously doubt he is scum. If he is, he would want to kill me in my sleep, not whisk me to a safe place.
Nite, folks.
We'll make you an offer you can't refuse.

Note to self: Your mafia theories are usually wrong, so don't act on them.
EBWODP: Yes I do, that's why suspect the scum have daytalk.

Your action and claim has me feeling quite good about you, too. Infinis looked awful in light of yesterday's lynch, and it adds up to the theory I had about a townie RBing him, and the scum RBing RobRoy.
V/LA: 3/21-3/24 & 3/27-3/29
That last post was obviously directed at Tilde.
As for you believing the scum have daytalk and are fabricating the block, that seems awfully risky, particularly after having been down a man day one, and that RR looked pretty good in light of the Cyan wagon's revival. I don't think RR is mafia at all.
V/LA: 3/21-3/24 & 3/27-3/29
Yes, I figured that after pointing out that I didn't want to vote him because that would put him to L-1, my next play should be the ninja hammer. [/sarcasm]

Errr, What? This is way out of line and literally wtf. I'd call it fearmongering, but i hate that word (and yet i just used it. Lovely Hypocrite i am).
We have no need to rush, Ged hasn't announced a deadline and this game hasn't gone that long.
(and with this post, you've just got back on my scumdar.....congrats!)
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
Based on the rules in the initial post, Some One would still get lynched at this point.
Note to self: Your mafia theories are usually wrong, so don't act on them.
Unvote, Vote Some One - That should still get him lynched if the day were to end suddenly, and still leaves him well away from a ninja-lynch.

Direct quote from the rules in the first post of the thread:
I'm not fearmongering. It's a simple fact that each day has a deadline.

Maybe he did just title it like that because he's expecting a lynch soon. But when I saw the title it reminded me of the rule and I went back to check it. I thought it was something worth bringing up.

And yes, SO would get the lynch at this point. But my point was in case of the deadline we should make sure the one we want lynched has the majority of the votes. I'm not trying to rush a lynch, I just want to make sure the one we want lynched has the majority while we finish the day.

Cubus has been proven to be telling the truth, I think he has been more trustworthy this game regardless, and his result is far more conclusive than goat's was.
I would, however, like spotofprey to post before night.

I feel honored to be targetted by your drunk posting. You have no idea.
Not yet he doesn't. I would be very uncomfortable aiming a vig at spot before he has a chance to defend himself.
I'm off to Chicago now, so my posting will be erratic for the next while. My notes say there are currently 6 votes on Some One. I'll make it 7, so nobody else should vote for him until we're ready for the lynch.
vote: Some One
Given the wonderful journal entry here:
I agree with Dagger's logic with this thinking.
However, I do have a question with Ced though:
I assume here Ced you are talking about the Flavor of the charater in the comic books, not something you know about Cubus. If it's the ladder then i take it you are saying that Cubus is lying..
Also can anyone let me know what exactly are we waiting from Spot?
Consider this my Vote for SO.
But what exactly does that have to do with SO?
So we need a claim from Spot to find out if he should be shot by a potental Vig?
I think if there is a Vig out there (that isn't spot mind you.) I think it would be better for that player to shoot regardless of what spot says.
I'd say that he should probably shoot, but regardless is a bit much. There's always a chance there's a logical explanation for SpotofPrey being in this situation. Small, but its possible.
MOD PROD ON SOP please.

Waiting to hear from Spot; second the call for a prod.

Do you honestly think there is any chance I"m lying here?
Let's hear spot's claim.
