It may not actually be the weekend, but the working and the busy started today, and it goes through Monday. The County Fair just rolled into town, so it's a long weekend for everybody. Besides, I work 3rd shift, so everything feels weird. :/
It was mostly a joke.
@ Andel; any reasons? I agree that the game is moving rather slowly.
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.

Its mostly gut: the reason I'm voting first and rereading you later is that no one is posting anything, but apparently my method didn't change anything.
Also, surprisingly enough, you're not my top suspect. The thread is severely lacking posts though, and you're just the suspect I have the most content to form a read, and more importantly, some discussion on.
Never remembered to Unvote. Since Cat's lead turned out to be nothing, and the gender= vanilla thing turned out to be a misinterpretation, I don't think Roja is a very likely scum, as much as confused town.
I came up with an idea to generate discussion; I, or somebody votes another player, and the other players come up with reasons for or against the vote. It seems kind of clunky, but it could help generate discussion. Thoughts?

What better mad mischief than to swap around everyone's hats? I see that you have no answer. And I am not at all surprised, for indeed there is no finer mischief than a swapping around of hats.
@AK: list the last two games you were scum in, and the last two games you were town in, please (ones that are over).
Also, your idea is neat, but I don't know how well its going to work in practice, even if there was greater thread participation. And especially in this game, the "leave it to others" mentality is a quick way to get a deadline.

Your point is valid against it, which is why I was waiting for feedback before trying to implement it.

I read some other games, but unfortunately I found nothing particularly concrete either way about my current suspicions on AK.
What's bugging me about him, however, is the prodding questions he asks that are worded to imply scumminess, but no vote (and in the first quote, votes after some other pressure appears):
For instance, instead of "Why did you change your mind?" or "...vote?" or something similar, its "why the sudden flip?" The tone has a sort of predetermined guilty verdict before the defense even appears.
In my mind, either the questions should be more neutral in nature, or there should be a vote alongside them - not waiting to see if others agree.
I was voting for the person in the second one, and I think that the last question is pretty neutral. I'd describe such an action as a sudden flip, considering she had been supporting Roja as scum.
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
I actually didn't see that 'plan'. My vote on FMJ is more or less serious. He's the most suspicious to me after the re-read, albeit acknolwedging just how little we really have to go on at this point.

So you do not believe that Cat just "flubbed up" and that he still secretly wants to have a mass gender claim?
Well for one, I have no idea what "flubbed up" means. But no, I think his initial posts implied that he was in favor of a mass gender claim. His first post was neutral on the subject, but his second clearly leans towards it being a good thing (he lists far more benefits than drawbacks). Basically, I think his attitude is best summed up in his third post where he posts this:
Quote from Catalina »
And also, I wasn't advocating the idea, i was advocating discussion of the idea, as the post makes clear (though the more i think about it, the more town-favouring it sounds).
Cat, you keep denying that you were ever in favor of a gender claim, but that line says that your thoughts were otherwise.
And at this point I don't think Cat's totally scum, either. It's just that I've found nothing better to go on in this game than this attitude favoring a gender claim.
@Cyan:
That's exactly the kind of behaviour that gets naive cops lynched, so I'm not quite taking that as a tell from AKid yet.
Regarding FMJ, the main issues I have with him at this point are:
#82: asking cautiously if 'anyone would support a nameclaim from Roja'. Why would a nameclaim from him help town? Suspicion was already dropping off. Fishing, maybe?
#34: saying that we should not reveal gender, even under pressure, unless 'a troubling amount of our gender is dead'. Sounds reasonable, or so I first thought. But looking at it again...
Scenario 1:
Town A: 3 males dead. Not good.
Town B: C, you scum!
Scum C: Wait! I'm male!
Town A: ....unvote.
Scenario 2:
Town A: 3 males dead. Not good.
Town B: C, you scum!
Town C: Wait! I'm male!
Scum: (Nightkill target set and ready to go.)
Neither of the above sounds like a good scenario, to say the least.

Post 82 is noteworthy though.
Fixed.
Gender claims are an add-on due to this game, though. Normally all we have to work with are roleclaims/nameclaims anyway.

Aw... you seem to have driven Cyan away with your question.
Anyhow, I agree that Cyan is scum. He is lurking, which is never a good sign from him, but more importantly, he is lurking when there are direct questions to him, even going so far to post in other threads but not here.
Town Cyan does not avoid argumentation at all (and I'd even go so far as to say he actively engages in it). As scum, however, he seems to want to avoid attention as much as possible.
And his vote on AK is just giving me strong flashbacks to WH40K.
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.

@Ged: That line indicated that I think there were arguments either way, and that I didn't believe it to be the open-and-shut, not even worth discussing-type issue that AKid was suggesting.
I can easily see the townie mindset that would bring you to post what you did. But subtly showing support for a gender claim could also be a scum-motivated action, since it's pretty clear now that such a clam would be bad for the town.
But I don't think your mindset was scum when you posted it, there just hasn't been a reason to unvote.

Not having much to talk about hasn't stopped you before. As town, you post. A lot. Conversation starts because you are so outspoken. I feel that the game going slower is just as much because you're not posting, moreso than the other way around.
