I'm inclined to agree with Jodo here about BigTime. How could you have info? There wasn't even a night zero.
PS, I lol'ed at the "I love scum" thing.
I don't have info. I made a guess based on a hunch. I want to make this perfectly clear so that it doesn't get out of hand like iLord: I Don't Have Any Inside Information.
Interesting... very interesting.
While you could be right, it seems like you are grasping at air.
Combined with your previous posts (which, admittedly could be seen as scummy or joking), I think this warrants atleast an FoS. FoS BigTime
No vote from me, in case you pull an iLord and are right.
I know it seemed like I was grasping for something, but realize that I am not accusing EER of anything. His post caught my eye earlier and I didn't want to bring it up until we were out of the randomness, or at least ready to move away from the randomness.
For the record, everything before that was all joking and random stage foolishness.

I believe this can be answered by looking at LookingForReality's custom title.
Which goes, "Random is not a defense".
I also don't like the way you are saying that you do not have inside info - to me, it is making it seems more likely that you do.
Exactly what I was thinking. The only episode I can think Willy being mean in is one of the Treehouse of Horror episodes. Of course we could just be guessing at this and have it all wrong...
I dunno. There are a few episodes where Willy is mean. Off the top of my head I can name two:
The one where Homer tries to steal the grease and Willy strangles him with the grease hose.
And the one with the kid's news show where Bart blows up Willy's house with creamed corn.
But I don't really know that three "bad Willy" episodes would warrent a scum role. All-in-all, I think Willy is usually a good guy. He saves the kids in a few episodes too, so I'm leaning toward Willy being a townie flavor-wise.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
I know it's non-committing, but that's because I don't want to end up committing to being wrong. It's on the safe side. I don't think he has a post restriction, and I certinely don't have any iLord inside information.
What gives me the hunch is his vote. The flavor after it makes me think he is Willy the Janitor. The scottish flair there. Now, that tells me nothing of interest on his alignment or abilities, but it did kinda get me thinking about character.
All in all, it's just a hunch. I have only played with EER once before, in the last newb game, and he had a tendancy to play a little differently. This could be just a little bit of roleplay, or it could just be EER being relatively amusing. I did find it funny (funny HAHA, not funny suspicious).
That is all. No real analysis beside that.
This got me thinking
Not that this information will be particularily useful but assuming that the roles are in flavour of their professions on the simpsons the following is my assumption of who is what assuming typical newbie game with just the basics:
Chief Wiggum - Cop
Dr Nick/ Dr Hibbert - Doc
Vanilla Townies - The Simpsons family (except Bart) Ned, Barney, Apu, Moe, Krusty,Comic Book Guy, Principal Skinner, Groundskeeper Willie, Ralph, Milhouse are all likely candidates
Mafia - Many possibilities for this one with Fat Tony (obviously) and the rest of the Springfield Mafia( Johnny Tightlips, Frankie the Squealer, Jimmy the Snitch, etc) being the most likely, other possibilities include Mr. Burns, Sideshow Bob, possibly Kang and Kodos
Not that any of the is necessarily pertinant to the game, just something to keep in mind.
Defending who? Jodo? Not at all. I was just agreeing with his point of view. But we've already discussed why Jodo thought he had some info. Your post is a little late.

Says that randomness isn't a defense. But wait, didn't MBP himself say that my previous points could either be scummy or random? For reference, see the top quote. Also, he lays down some major WIFOM in saying that he thinks I have information when I say I don't. I don't really think its very likely that a noob game has inside information included in it.
Looking at these points, we can see that 1. MBP is attacking me for my EER analysis and for scummier early posts, which he fails to explain, 2. Backs off from his position just as soon as he got on, 3. Backed off when a few members of the town disagreed with him, and 4. contradicted himself in the first and fourth quotes.
First, I would like to see the scummy random posts I made, and I would like to understand how they are scummy.
Second, I would like to understand why you believe that I actually do have inside information.
Finally, I would like MBP to justify the contradiction he made regarding the randomness argument.
With that, I will Vote MBP in hopes of getting some good answers to these proposals.

BigTime's argument is looking fairly strong, but I don't think it warrents a vote yet. I'd like to see how MBP defends himself first. But I really don't like how MBP backs off his argument, but still implies there is something fishy going on.

I wasn't contradicting myself here - I was saying that there is a chance you were right, but it seems more likely to me that I'm wrong.
Attacks me for bringing my information with a disclaimer.
Generally, in my mind, needing a disclaimer for a tell you have seen generally isn't a very townish action.
Backs away from initial attack only four or five posts after making attack. That looks bad.
Not backing away - Agreeing with a point Jodo made in your favor. One townie point does not make your scum points go down any more.
Says that randomness isn't a defense. But wait, didn't MBP himself say that my previous points could either be scummy or random? For reference, see the top quote. 1. I was attacking you for seeing something in a random thing that most likely meant nothing.
2. As I stated, I was not backing off - I was agreeing with a point someone made.
3. See previous point.
4. I believe I stated this as well - I was acknowledging the other side of the argument, not contradicting.
First, I would like to see the scummy random posts I made, and I would like to understand how they are scummy.

Reading the Scottish accent as Willy. Feeling a need to use a disclaimer when you said it.
Finally, I would like MBP to justify the contradiction he made regarding the randomness argument.
I don't see any contradiction there, once again. I said that while the scummy side of the points was more likely, it was possible that they were just random.
With that, I will Vote MBP in hopes of getting some good answers to these proposals.
This whole post seems to strike me as very OMGUSish, as I don't see any very good points against me.
I'll bring up the post I mentioned tomorrow, it is very late here >.<
Until then, Vote BigTime
Vanilla Townies - The Simpsons family (except Bart) Ned, Barney, Apu, Moe, Comic Book Guy, Principal Skinner, Groundskeeper Willie, Ralph, Milhouse are all likely candidatesLenny and Carl (possibly Masons?)
Mafia - Many possibilities for this one with Fat Tony (obviously) and the rest of the Springfield Mafia (Johnny Tightlips, Frankie the Squealer, Jimmy the Snitch, etc) being the most likely, other possibilities include Mr. Burns, Sideshow Bob, possibly Kang and Kodos Homer (Is stupid enough to be tricked by mafia into doing their bidding) Krusty (Owes the mafia money, could be paying off debt) Nelson, Jimbo, Kernie, other bullies (Obviously like hurting others) Smithers (Follows Burns without questions. If Burns is mafia, then Smither most likely is as well) Lenny (Works for Burns. Maybe loses job unless Burns wins?) Carl (Works for Burns. If the town wins and Burns is mafia, his job is gone.)
Neutral- Snake (Could want to find Bart for the reward money. Town wins, they find Bart and get the cash. Scum wins and he finds out where Bart is by siding with them.)
I'm going to change it around a bit for my flavor thoughts. I'll bold my opinions.
Mostly I did this to think out loud (so to speak). I just wanted to write out what the possible flavor-related names could be.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
1. I think the biggest point against MBP is his contradiction. I don't think he understands my point here, because he fails to argue it sensibly. My point is that he first says that my early posts can either be random or scummy. He then says that Randomness is not an excuse. I make the statement that I was just playing around, and suddenly randomness isn't good enough, when he said it first himself.
What he did was provide himself a way out of the initial argument, but then he closes that door by trying to make me look bad.
2. Why does it seem like I am wrong? What piece of information or scummy action does MBP have that suggests that my EER guess is wrong. I'm not saying I am dead on right by any means, and I have said that all along. Still, what makes MBP think that I am so incredibly wrong in this case? Also, even if I am wrong, why does that warrent a vote? No incredibly valuable information was given away, and no damage was done. If I am wrong, which is a possibility, what difference would it make, and why should I be lynched for that?
3. His disclaimer attack is WIFOM. In light of the last game, where iLord muffed up and pretended to have real information, I decided to be smart and not pretend to have something I didn't. I wanted everyone to know that my analysis came from a hunch, and that nothing was set in stone. MBP thinks that this is some clever scummy ploy, and has been saying so for a while now. He is simply trying to put doubt in peoples minds about my simple warning. WIFOM.
4. He says he was not backing away from the argument, just agreeing with JY. What he was agreeing with JY though, was that I wasen't too scummy. JY said this:
Quote from :JodoYodo »
after BT's enlightenment on the subject, I think what he pointed out makes sense and wasen't too scummy
MBP said he agree with this and was not backing away. So, what he says is that he agreed that my post was not very scummy, but he still thinks I'm scum for all the same reasons he did before. That's a huge contradiction.
5. He still has not brought up the scummy posts he saw of mine from the random stage. He seems to have a lot of reasons to think I am scummy, and keeps bringing up these other posts, but he has not shown us anything of the sort. If they are so scummy, why aren't we seeing them?
6. He finishes up that last post by saying he was just acknowledging both sides of the random post issue. Still, we must realize that that is not what he did. He first says that the random posts could go either way, but when I speak up, he declares randomness to be a poor excuse, clearly contradicting his previous opinion.
7. I would like to conclude by saying that MBP has accused me several times of being scummy, adn for several reasons, but not once has he justified his accusations with any evidence or proof. He declares things about me to be scummy, but he does not provide reasons for why they are scummy.
8. I forgot, he mentions that I OMGUSed there. How? Clearly, I was simply outlining a case on someone I really had felt a scummy vibe from. If it were an OMGUS, it would have been unjustified, seeing as how I had no vote placed on me, and my only attacker had just seemed to agree that maybe I was not scummy. I see no OMGUS. All I see is a case against a scummy player.
@The Town: I always get the feeling that whenever I post a case, it goes misinterpreted. If there is any confusion, I would be happy to clear it up.

I was saying that your previous points could be seen as either scummy actions, or random actions taken during the random stage. I saw them as scummy actions - However, I was acknowledging the possibililty that they could mean nothing.
This really confuses me. I went back and looked at BigTime's posts prior to the one where he comments on EER's possible identity, and they all look perfectly random-vote-stage to me. Some are purely random (the 'cooties' bit) and others are just small talk about mechanics from more complex rules sets (the 'lovers' bit). Nothing about them looks remotely scummy to me.
Reading the Scottish accent as Willy. Feeling a need to use a disclaimer when you said it.
Who else would you read a Scottish accent as in the Simpsons' world? While it could be that EER's post was just simply excessive misspelling to poke fun at sneaky, it could also have been intended to be a hint at his identity. I think it was something worth bringing up, and I think it was a good observation on BigTime's part. As far as the disclaimer goes, it doesn't strike me as being all that scummy. BigTime knew some people would assume he had inside info (possibly scum info), and simply pointed out in advance that he knew that would be the case. Basically just "calling it". And obviously he was right.
The disclaimer could be considered WIFOM, could it not? (That's an actual question, by the way. I'm not exactly sure if I'm using WIFOM in the correct context) Sure, you could put a disclaimer to cover your butt in case this happened, but if you were scum you might also put it in to throw suspicion off so you could use it as a defense later.
I'm still inclined to agree with BigTime that MBP's suspicion is unfounded though. I think BigTime's post was pro-town. Discussing information is a good thing for the town, right? There is basically no way that BT could have inside info, especially in a newb game, so MBP's suspicion looks more like him trying to attack BigTime than help the town. I also agree with BT's thinking that we need to apply a little pressure to get some answers.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
I'm going to change it around a bit for my flavor thoughts. I'll bold my opinions.
Mostly I did this to think out loud (so to speak). I just wanted to write out what the possible flavor-related names could be.
All good ideas, I was just going for the most obvious choices
Big Times actions thus far were enough to have me suspiscious prior to MBP, FOS. The volume of his posting smacks me as a little scummy, as does the general tone of his posts. Mind you I don't know if that is just his regular posting style.
On the other hand I don't see his pointing out a scottish accent as a possible Willy character particularily scummy. He was not saying that Willy was a mafia character he was just stating a random observation. and quite possibly a good one at that.
As for the scumminess of adding a qualifier or a disclaimer. I believe that such things are not inherently scummy, just an indicator of caution. In this game caution can be necessary, a certain saying about a squeaky wheel comes to mind.
All in all in my mind this comes down to general tone/volume (AKA "Trying too hard")of posts rather than actual statements that were made.
In the case of Man Bear Pig one could attribute this attack to over reaction or misinterpretation of what seems to be innocuos random posting. However the FoS, followed by backing off ("Acknowledging both sides"), followed by a reactionary vote and reasoning filled with qualifiers and half measures(apparently a scummy action) quote leads me to suspect MBP. The thing that makes me most suspicious is the lack of reference to a the specific post he found scummy. A vague summuray or some basic idea of which statement you were reffering to would have greatly helped. I understand that it is late but searching out the exact quote wasnt nesscesary, giving us some idea as to which post you meant is. This action to me feels like buying time to search through the random posts to find something scummy.
I see where you are both coming from but Big Time's scumminess is more of a posting style than specific action. Man Bear Pig's actions seem alot more scummy in general.
I know it's still to early to accuse people of lurking but I want to keep the pressure on to post. Inactive people (especially townies) only help the mafia.
In addition to my other FoS's
FOS: Man Bear Pig
This could turn into a vote if I don't see a solid argument as to what was specifically scummy about Big Time's random posts. I don't want to vote yet as the votes and posts against him are (I Feel) enough pressure. In such a small game votes mean more and only 7 (on day one) are needed to lynch.
MBP is currently at 2.
Lets see what tommorow brings (IRL not in game)
(Sorry for all the brackets(actually the are parentheses))
I agree that BigTime's observation isn't exactly scummy. He pointed out a simple thing, and MBP seemed to think it was scummy. In my opinion, I think Willy is a town role, and thus his post pointing out the "scottishness" of the post is actually pro-town.
I can't see a scenario where pointing out that information is a bad idea. I'll try to put up as many different situations as possible here:
1) Willy is a townie role. The Mafia would already know that EEG wasn't scum, so they wouldn't really even care about BT's post, because they already knew.
2) Willy is scum.- So BT pointed out a possible tell on a scum role. I fail to see how that is a bad thing. Of course, we have no way of knowing that right now, but it can give us a suspect or two later in the game maybe.
3) Willy is a townie, and BT is scum.- That would be counter-productive. Why would BT point out a townie to the town? He could just wait until night and tell the mafia what he noticed. We're none the wiser, and the scum has additional information that may help them.
4) Willy is scum, BT is scum.- Sure, it throws suspicion away from BT and quasi-confirms him, but it also reduces the mafia. The town lynches a scum role, and the mafia is weaker. A fairly stupid move, if you ask me.
5) Willy is scum, BT is town.- BT helps the town ID a mafia memeber. No further explaination is needed.
That's all I can think of. Feel free to add more or correct any mistakes I may have made.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
6) Willy is a townie and BT is a townie.- It gives the town some additional info. That's a good thing, because the town needs all the information we can get. It may cast some suspicion around, but all-in-all it's a good thing that the town is more informed.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p

Wow, a lot happens over one night I guess. This thread was in the random stage at 2 pages last night, and now it's 5 pages with some substance.
I still have to get a little bit of reading done between BT's and MBP's, so I'll reserve judgement until later in the day. For now I'd like to ask EER; why did you post in what looked like an accent" Were you just pointing out a mispelling, or acting in role? I'm just curious, as neither answer really suggests anything, as we don't fully know how role flavor translates into the game.
Also, I've been reading Kman's posts, because all are kind of short, and follow a pattern of general fear. I could chalk this up to the sometimes awkward actions of newer players, but I thought it would be worthy of bringing up.
Wow... so much discussion with no real information to go on....
Ugh... I'll just keep an open mind for now and suggest a No Lynch vote. Unvote
Vote: No Lynch.
FoS: Man Bear Pig - everyone else is doing it!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that No Lynch was generally counter-productive for town, particularly on Day 1. The reason there is so much discussion right now is to get real information to go on. No Lynch basically gives the mafia a free night kill without making any real progress.
Also, shouldn't FoS'ing come with a better reason than "everyone else is doing it!"?
As far as Man Bear Pig goes, I would like to hear an explanation of the following:
Not backing away - Agreeing with a point Jodo made in your favor. One townie point does not make your scum points go down any more.
I was saying that your previous points could be seen as either scummy actions, or random actions taken during the random stage. I saw them as scummy actions - However, I was acknowledging the possibililty that they could mean nothing.
1. I was attacking you for seeing something in a random thing that most likely meant nothing.
What exactly are the "scummy actions" that are giving BigTime "scum points"?
Also, you say that the random-phase post BigTime was analyzing most likely meant nothing and feel justified in attacking BigTime over analyzing it. Yet you claim that BigTime's random-phase posts are noteworthy (something you have yet to substantiate, I might add).
For now, I'll unvote my random vote and wait to hear from Man Bear Pig.
JqlGirl I strongly advise against No Lynch. In fact I think there's never, ever a reason that we should go No Lynch, unless there's some global game mechanic that would benefit town this way. The only other reasons I see that people would vote No Lynch is if they were scum or if they were a pacifist cultist, which I doubt would be in a newb game.
So that means FoS: JqlGirl.
I'm not entirely convinced on the MBP wagon. Yes, I think MBP is acting scummy. I also think some of his points are loaded with WIFOM. On the other hand, I'd like to say this; as far as I can tell, MBP always plays like this. I'm not 100% convinced, so I'm going to do a re-read right now and post again, since I've only skimmed the last two pages.
I also don't see BigTime as being scummy. I also think that speculating on role names is BAD because it'll give the scum hints on what to falseclaim. Additionally, we don't know if the mafia rolenames will be as straightforward as 'the bad guys in Simpsons', or 'the mafia in Simpsons' yet, so I'm not going to give an opinion on that.
I also don't like the way you are saying that you do not have inside info - to me, it is making it seems more likely that you do.
This is illogical. He came out and said that he didn't have inside info BECAUSE others were suggesting it. He didn't just come out in the blue and say "I have no inside information" for no reason.
This whole post seems to strike me as very OMGUSish, as I don't see any very good points against me.
I'll bring up the post I mentioned tomorrow, it is very late here >.<
Until then, Vote BigTime
You see BigTime as OMGUS-ing, but I see you as OMGUS-ing.
kman1474 seems to be playing the innocent noob card right now. Unfortunately this makes him hard to read. I see town so far.
JqlGirl... I'm not reading as scum right now. The reason? She answered sneakyhomunculus' question in a very unbumbling fashion. If she's noob scum, her reply was very good.
I'm keeping an eye on Caex_Kothar. Not willing to divulge reasons yet.
@BigTime: I know MBP is being scummy and loaded with WIFOM, but realistically have you seen a game where he isn't like this?
@SneakyHomunculus: I like your posts. They're very town. I was taking notes as I re-read, but when I got to your post I saw that you'd already posted pretty much everything I was noting. Especially the point about the massclaims; I want everyone to understand that I extremely doubt the mafia will be so obviously named. There's probably going to be at least one character who is scum and has a 'good' name.
Unvote.
If MBP's posts were by any other player in this game, I'd have no problem with lynching him or her at this point. Unfortunately since it IS MBP, despite his scumminess I still put him at 50/50. Sigh.
I'm not going to vote MBP for now because I'm willing to be patient. We have all the time in the world.
Let me first say, that I wasn't too please with BigTime possibly exposing ea er refta's role. It doesn't seem a very good pro-town play to make carefully placed breadcrumbs open to the public. Taking personal notes about this kind of information is essential, but it's probably best to keep them to yourself until the situation asks for it.
From the year or so I've lurked around here and watched Mafia games, I've heard a few people make the argument that providing info is a good thing for the town. I think it may have been Cyan who said something like "It only takes one scum to see a clue, then all the scum know about it." I don't think that just the possible role-name "Willy" is a bad thing to point out. If BT had pointed out a possible role instead of just a name, I probably wouldn't be too happy. But since it's only a name, I just don't see the harm in it.
Caex Kothar and Man Bear Pig sarnath'd reactions (in post 46/47) to JodoYodo confusion were also telling. Caex Kothar question seems somewhat naive, while Man Bear Pig is way too eager to jump on BigTime.
Yeah. I fully expect to be considered naive for a while. Until I get the hang of the game, at least.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
Well, discussion an sich certainly is good thing for the town and some information should be made public right away when the moment asks for it, but I feel intentional placed breadcrumbs should be kept to ourself for now. By taking these things in account the players can judge voting structures, player behavior, set traps, etc. The power of these breadcrumbs lay in that they are pieces of information that can later in the game be retrieved and used to the town's advantage. It's true that if the Mafia can also finds them, but that doesn't mean that we should point our spotlight on them right away because we fear that this information will otherwise be lost to the town. BigTime made a probable breadcrumb visible for no peculiar reason. He wasn't building a case on the player, he wasn't using the information to disprove a claim, etc so keeping it to himself might have been better play.
Ah. Okay, I'll keep that kind of stuff in mind. This game is a bit more complicated than I originally assumed, it would seem.
I'm beginning to think MBP was justified in questioning BigTime's 'discovery'. But I still don't like MBP's responses to the "case" against him, so I'm keeping my vote where it is for now.
Also, I was mostly pissed off by the posts that followed BigTime's 'discovering' and resulted in a write-down of all possible other existing roles in the game. Generally only the scum benefit from knowing and speculating on the game setup, because they know who is non-scum and these kind of sources of speculation can give them a better chance at taking out the townie power roles.
As I was falling asleep last night, I realized the same thing. I'll remember that in the future. Thanks for the help in explaining the strategies on info and such.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
I never played or read a game of mafia on MTGSally, so I don't know how common knowledge this is, but defending a player based on the apparently normalcy of his scumminess feels somewhat awkward to me. Now, I'm also not completely convinced by his yet scumminess, and I am not voting for him at the moment, but I would like you to explain this argument a bit further. Also if you played with him in another already completed game before and have a link to it that would also be appreciated.
I understand where this is coming from. I'm very torn about it right now. I've played in two games with Man Bear Pig; Stratego Mafia and Newb17. In Newb17 by the end I was very convinced MBP was scum by the way he was acting, but it turned out he was vanilla town. Stratego is still underway, and I would prefer not to talk about ongoing games, but I see little difference in how MBP has played spanning all three games. Stratego is here and Newb17 is here. I'm not sure how to proceed with MBP. He's #1 on my scumdar but I figure there's no reason to rush things.
Generally only the scum benefit from knowing and speculating on the game setup, because they know who is non-scum and these kind of sources of speculation can give them a better chance at taking out the townie power roles.
i am always an innocent noob and i don't ever type much because im more of a thinker than a speaker.
I hope you know that saying you're an innocent noob does absolutely nothing to make me think you're not scum, regardless of whether you are or not. But your defensiveness and excuses have been noted.
EBWODP: Ugh my last post had lots of grammatical ambiguities.

Yes, I do have a style - Sorry about that.
My main scum point against BT was the fact that he was seeing a kind of character claim* in EER's random post, where he voted sneaky. This seemed to me like a really weird thing to see in that.
*Note: I have never watched Simpsons, and never will. Point being: Don't ask me about flavor questions.

JqlGirl has done a great job of making herself a potential bandwagon for people to jump on. I also think her subsequent post explaining herself answers all the questions which MBP is asking and seems to be choosing to ignore.
im an innocent noob that has nothing to hide. whats so hard to understand?
Okay I guess I'll explain it fully then.
Repeatedly saying you're an innocent noob only has negative effects on our perception of you. The first time you say you're an innocent noob we think you're being cute. The more you say it, the more it looks like you're hiding under it and using it as an excuse. So saying it over and over again does not help you at all.
If you don't care that you're looking scummy, you should. Because if you're town, you want to act like it. By saying you're an innocent noob, you're getting zero townie point gain, only scum points.
And I never said anything was hard to understand. Notice the lack of questions in my posts to you. You are being very defensive.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
I find it weird because he was seeing something in a joke - why would he?
Okay I have two points on this.
1. Let's say BT is idly reading EER's post, and, GASP, notices that EER is phrasing it in a Scottish accent. Scottish accents are VERY distinctive in The Simpsons in that it's related to Willy. I don't see how this is scummy, in the same sense that finding pocket change on the ground isn't sinister.
2. It's possible that EER is making a hidden claim. People do it often, although not that often in newb games. AK did it in Newb17 when he subtly claimed to be Cop. I've seen people (CropCircles comes to mind) make crafty posts in which words, when selected in patterns, would form a claim.
Alright, alright - I see your point. What I saw as suspicious, everyone else saw as nothing. EER's semiclaim didn't sound like a scottish accent at all to me, and I have no idea who the heck Willy is. So, because of that, I thought it suspicious that BT saw something in that. Basically, what I think happened was that BT saw the message in that, and I didn't. Because I didn't, I found BT suspicious (kinda like stratego). Now that a number of people have pointed out what he saw in that post, I don't find it suspicious anymore. Unvote. One last thing - I know people will find this post suspicious. I have one request, however: Don't lynch me, if at all, until day 2. If I am forced to claim, you will see why.

Honestly this post wasn't too subtle either.
I want a vote count before I start pointing/voting.
I don't have info. I made a guess based on a hunch. I want to make this perfectly clear so that it doesn't get out of hand like iLord: I Don't Have Any Inside Information.
{Magic: The RPG}

{Magic: The RPG}
Says I could be right, but maybe I'm wrong. Brings up scummy previous posts of mine. What posts and why? Doesn't elaborate at all. That's questionable.
Attacks me for bringing my information with a disclaimer.
Backs away from initial attack only four or five posts after making attack. That looks bad.
With that, I will Vote MBP in hopes of getting some good answers to these proposals.
and look around every once and a while you could miss it. - ferris bueller

{Magic: The RPG}
This whole post seems to strike me as very OMGUSish, as I don't see any very good points against me.
I'll bring up the post I mentioned tomorrow, it is very late here >.<
Until then,
Vote BigTime
I'm going to change it around a bit for my flavor thoughts. I'll bold my opinions.
Mostly I did this to think out loud (so to speak). I just wanted to write out what the possible flavor-related names could be.
{Magic: The RPG}
I think Homer, Lenny and Carl are a stretch, and possibly Krusty is a stretch, but I agree with most everything else.

I quoted JY wrong in the last post, it doesn't stand out as an actual quote, so here it is.

{Magic: The RPG}

{Magic: The RPG}
Forgot one
6) Willy is a townie and BT is a townie.- It gives the town some additional info. That's a good thing, because the town needs all the information we can get. It may cast some suspicion around, but all-in-all it's a good thing that the town is more informed.

What exactly are the "scummy actions" that are giving BigTime "scum points"?
Also, you say that the random-phase post BigTime was analyzing most likely meant nothing and feel justified in attacking BigTime over analyzing it. Yet you claim that BigTime's random-phase posts are noteworthy (something you have yet to substantiate, I might add).
For now, I'll unvote my random vote and wait to hear from Man Bear Pig.

Additionally, we don't know if the mafia rolenames will be as straightforward as 'the bad guys in Simpsons', or 'the mafia in Simpsons' yet, so I'm not going to give an opinion on that.

kman1474 seems to be playing the innocent noob card right now.
I WANT YOUR DEATH BARONS! Message me if you want to get rid of them!
Yeah. I fully expect to be considered naive for a while. Until I get the hang of the game, at least.
{Magic: The RPG}
As I was falling asleep last night, I realized the same thing. I'll remember that in the future. Thanks for the help in explaining the strategies on info and such.
{Magic: The RPG}

Jqlgirl, as you can see, you're not exactly a prolific poster either. I'd like to see you post some content and opinions rather than bandwagoning.

I can acknowledge that some people won't have the time to post, but others, like you JqlGirl, are obviously online and I don't see an excuse either.
