All roles have been sent out. Good luck to everyone.
You all are roughly awakened from your sleep by some men without faces. They're all wearing gas masks. You can't really tell who they are, but the guns they're holding are pretty convincing enough. The one in the front says one thing: "Move." It's not a bad suggestion.
You all find yourself in the city hall. There's nobody left except you, the rest of you, and a few men with guns and masks. One of them walks up to the front of the room and clears his throat. The sound is hollow and empty. And dead.
"Greetings, and welcome to our investigation process. You all have been chosen specifically for your unique talents and how you could aid us in determining what's wrong here."
Wrath of Dog pipes up. "The hell? What's wrong?"
The man in the mask sighs, then directs you towards the windows in the hall. You all collectively gasp at what you see.
The sun has become the color of blood, and it is casting a blood red glow across your town. It's like someone painted the town red... with the blood of everyone he saw as he passed. You all shudder and return to your seats. The man at the front smirks, at least as much as one can behind a mask. "Do you understand now?
"We're trying to determine what's going on here. We need your assistance, and we honestly can't do this without you. That being said, nobody leaves. We've set up temporary rooms in this building for all of you, and you'll find the experience as comfortable as we can possibly make it during your stay.
"And", he finishes, "on behalf of the government of the United States of America, I welcome you. Good luck." And he turns on his foot and leaves, shutting a door behind him.
I love Joboman, Poggy, Niv, and Vezok, because, while they may not be the best players, they still try to win. Having fun is the most important thing to a game, but I've learned that if you don't try to win, then you're ruining everyone else's fun.
The "A Moment of Silence for Barbaro, Please" Vote Count
(12 to lynch) chamber - 2 (SorryGuy, SorryGuy)
loran16 - 1 (creampuffeater)
Cubus - 1 (loran16)
Also, for clarification, you can vote for anything and anyone. However, if the town lynches a player who isn't in the game, then nothing happens.
EDIT: And before you ask, yes, you can vote for the mod.
Ignoring SG's successful attempt at double voting, Dagger sauntered along the the side of walls, sighing for the times of bygone past and mourningly said, "Vote: Xyre."
Okay, well we have some interesting conversation starters here, at least.
1) Cubus is dead. Does this mean he can't post? Will the mod answer a question about that? Did he die after the game started? If so, why was no description given of his demise?
2) The mod can vote. This leads to all kinds of questions about whether or not certain votes count.
3) We can vote for anything, not just anyone. Hmm. Annoyingly, we don't know if this is just a mod technique for keeping infomation obscure, or if it has in-game implications. All we do know is that voting the mod apparently does have in-game implications. Based on Sin City, I'd be inclined to attempt to lynch the mod first thing, just to make sure nothing screwy is going on with it, but I don't have any experience beyond that one game; anyone else have input here?
4) SG has a double vote, which I'm automatically suspicious of, after Court. Vote SG.
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'

I'm confused.
Just something to ponder.
The fires of the Abyss will leave no flesh unsinged.
And incidentally, I think that we might not want to lynch the mod (Sin City is the only game where I've seen it as even a possibility, but something tells me that nothing good came come from it. This doesn't mean that I trust Xyre; after his warning, I'm not entirely sure I trust myself.

I think lynching the mod on day one would be a Very Bad Thing. It didn't turn out well in Sin City, and I doubt it would turn out well here. Especially given that the mod just told us not to lynch him.
On the other hand, it would be kinda fun to see what happens. Break the game and that sort of thing.
By the way, what, for lack of a more appropriate word, is possessing Swinkee?
Finally, I too have a very busy week. My posting will be limited until Saturday, though I'll still be able to keep up.
Perhaps, because of the differing lists some people can only post at a certain time period?
Notice the difference "The Insomniacs", "Sleeping Soundly Now", "The Undead", "The Unliving". Super post restrictions? Special abilities that only function during the night/day?
I will comment that in Sin City, there were no negative consequences to lynching the mod, so whoever said that, you may want to go back and review that game before you make any conclusions. However, this is still completely WIFOM. We don't really have any information off of which to form a theory about the mod's role, in-game.
Personally, I think we might want to wait for a day or two and see if the mod can come up with some kind of evidence one way or the other to support a case for or against him. As it is, we're just taking a shot in the dark.

suggesting undead, probably vampire (Both unliving and sleeping soundly during the day)
Hence Vote Cubus

This post very much smells like inside information of the scum variety, to me. Not something worth voting on right now(I really want to lynch the mod and find out what happens), but definetely worth noting to keep track of for later.

While it sounds interesting, but do you really think that it is worth potentially wasting a lynch? I don't think it is. I mean, it is the mod, he can't actually be scum, and I find it unlikely that he can hurt us at all. I do not at all support using a lynch on him.
Dagger, if your next post is in role-play, we will assume it is a restriction. Otherwise, please stop.
And, on the next vote count, you will see that I do indeed have three votes.
Ah, OK, I'll stop then. But I do have my reasons for doing that, and no, no questions are to be asked of that yet. Besides, speaking in 3rd person is tiring outside of the Colo.
Dagger disagreed with the notion of lynching the Mod, because the Mod is God in a mafia game. One does not lynch a God and leaves unscathed.
I agree with this. That's why I'd suggest not lynching Xyre, but vigging him. After all, no vig in their right mind would shoot tonight, so it's not like we're losing something in doing so.
Although something could happen if we try targeting Xyre at night.
Let the AzWolg vigs fire forth in a volley of hate.
@SG: Speaking figuratively, I've seen plenty of game setups that made me want to dub the Mod as 'scum'.
Mostly, in a rare game where you actually CAN lynch the Mod, it seems like it's worth doing to see what happens, considering that it's only D1 and we started out at daytime as well, meaning that we have absolutely no other information to work off of.

That's... a very interesting notion. However, depending on how the day turns out, the vig could have a viable target tonight since it'll be N1 and not N0. Even more however however, let's not continue to pursue this line of thought since frankly, discussing the town's power roles are very bad.
I'm going to prepose something. Because of the nature of our abilities, I suggest that before ending a phase we give everyone a chance to check in, this is to ensure no one accidentily misses the use of a good ability.
I would prefer to keep the maximum and minimum number of votes I have to myself. Please though, if you want to know, just say it. I would prefer to not be pressured on it.
