Role PMs are being sent out. The game will start out at Kill-less Night, so PM your confirmations with any relevant abilities. If you can talk to people at night, you may do so.
1. Vote and unvote in bold. Fos as you like. Once a majority is reached, a lynch will occur no matter what.
2. Deadlines will result in a no-lynch. I hope no deadlines will have to be set. A majority vote of no lynch will end the day with no lynch.
3. No quoting PMs or asking for win conditions.
4. Farewell posts are ok. Don't reveal any information in them, please.
5. Don't edit posts. Don't delete posts.
6. Lurking is not tolerated in a game as small as this. You will be expected to post at least once every 3 days without an excuse. I you anticipate being gone longer, please state it in the thread.
7. Try to keep the real world out of this. This is a game, and should be treated as such.
In a Legacy-format game, both players have 20 life, one land out and 6 cards in hand. Using only green cards (no gold cards) and land, find a way to lose the game in one turn without drawing cards, forfeiting or using activated abilities requiring life payment.
I would like to apologize to Aurorasparrow for clogging up his inbox because I am M:TG deficient these days and don't know how to read. (in regard to the question of the day.)
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'

Since Fastbond is not Legacy-legal, obviously not. Nor does it involve Channel, or even Crop Rotation, which I played around with for a bit. It does, on the other hand, include a substantial amount of life gain. I think AS might be a little upset if I gave away more than that, though.

It seems fairly inappropriate for some random magic trivia to have a prize that would affect this game, since magic trivia has nothing to do with mafia.

That's debatable. Outside mafia knowledge is helpful in any theme game, and this isn't that much different. This is a magc site, after all. Either way, disscusion on how fair the game is should be left for the endgame.
What relevance could there be between an answer to some random magic trivia and a cartoon mafia game? For that matter, you KNOW the answer, would you say that it could concievably have anything to do w/ this game?
EBWODP:
Anyway, it's not that important. Certainly, not enough so to keep arguing about, when it won't help the game any to do so.
On an unrelated note, it's nice to see you playing again, CC. I was disappointed when you quit out of Star Trek Mafia.
My answer was rejected on the basis that it attempted to draw a card, even though it never did. Oh well, back to the drawing board. This is what I get for following rules to the letter.
I should have just let AS answer first..that reward is minor enough that it's encouraging to participate, but, it's doubtful that it will actually affect the game in any realistic way. Kudos again, AS, and my apologies.

I wasn't alone messing around with high damage lands, it seems, although I was trying Tarnished Citadel. I was trying to use Elvish Spirit Guides and all sorts of nonsense after the screw up with Fastbond. LOL, oh well, congrats, CP.

So..about this mafia game..why aren't more people voting me for President I'll do a good job of it, honest.
Because I think it's a dumb idea. How do we know this isn't a neutral win condition or a scum ploy? Maybe you should tell us what you plan to do in office or something?
Because I say it's not either of those things, and running gambits etc is simply something that I don't do, it's too much of a hassle, and from everything that I've seen, they bite you in the ass as often as not.
Honestly, I probably erred in making it known this early anyway, I should have waited until later in the game, when the benefits of it would mean more. It's the first time that something like this has come along with my character though, and I wasn't sure how to go about it, so, I just threw it out there.
I don't want to say what it is yet(at all before I get voted and AS tells everyone what the bonus is anyway, if I can help it). I'm interested in seeing how people react to this, though, now that it's out in the open. I guess I'll inevitably have to tell all about it before the end of the day, or the mafia will just kill me, heh...but the dialogue provided, for now, will be more useful to the town, I should think, than me just blabbing out what it does. For example, CropCircle's immediate willingness to add his Vote Cyan for President just to find out what happens makes me pretty sure that he's town.
This isn't causing as much conversation as I had hoped. I guess I'll just tell everyone, I SNAFU'd this kind of badly anyway.
If a majority of the players vote me for President, my vote will count as two votes for the rest of the game.
I've never had nor seen someone's vote count double before, so, I asked AS questions about it..some he answered, some he didn't. If need be, I'll PM AS and ask him how much leeway I have in repeating the questions that I asked him(without violating the don't quote Role PMs rule).
Regardless of that, I simply don't see how a mafioso could ever have this ability..so hopefully you guys will Vote Cyan for President now.

Hows this ability clear you? You don't often see a double vote on scum, but thats because it allows them to rush lynch unpredictably. If we have to vote for you to have it first, I think I could easily see a double vote being on a mafia member. Your attempt to clear yourself is noted.
I'm not sure which is more disturbing. Cropcircle's recklessness or your trust in his recklessness.
Your distrust in my recklessness.
Gonna have to go with chamber on this. It's over powered on scum, generally, but forcing the town to allow it is a pretty acceptable balance. So I don't think it says anything about Cyan's alignment, at the moment. Better we wait 'til we have some reason to trust Cyan before giving him an extra vote.

No. I asked AS, and he said that I could discuss the answer in the thread, so there won't be any more rewards for figuring it out.
