Your list is giving me a headache, Vecna. What is the current immediate waiting list for games, separated for normal and specialty?
What?
Also, the lists are correct as of right now, except for the fact that 15 has been bumped back many a spot. It's supposed to be like that.
Also, you have to COMPLETE three games. Sorry.
I was nice about this before, but now seriously, I kinda have to follow the rules I made (or else Az gets mad ;-))

I would just like to point out you added Xyre, when as far as i can see, he only has 1 completed game.
He didnt make it obvious that he didnt meet the reqs, and I was tired. I will go check them. EDIT: Checked. Wow, I cannot read posts. I must have been tired. Removing from list, sorry Xyre.
Guys, a lot of this belongs in PMs, but I do appreciate the blatant ++ery on this thread, as I dont post much in counted areas. /sarcasm. or was it. i hate night mode

Vecna, we have had an interesting question come up. chamber would like to be in my mafia game but is currently in n00b mafia and random 2. I wasn't counting n00b mafia as one of the 2 games players are allowed to be in because players aren't supposed to be in any other games until they have played a n00b game, and aren't supposed to be in the n00b game if they have played a regular or specialty game.
Is it cool if he's in 2 normal games and the mini?
I'd support him. He did an acceptable job in my game, so unless he pulls an SG on you and only starts acting wierd after his first game is done, he should be a decent addition.
I don't think n00b games should count towards the total, because they don't really require much thought. n00b games are basic enough that if they really wanted to, any player could go to mafiascum and find the best strategy for every situation they might get into.
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
If one is in noob mafia, one really should not be involved in a specialty. They are meant for advanced players, not people who believe themselves inexperienced enough to play in a game meant for people with <1 full game of experience.
If he has alread recieved a role PM, keep him. Otherwise, drop.
Honest opinion here: The noob games should not have experienced players in them, because it should not be made so that one smart doc/mafia/cop or whatever happens to win the game without the aid of anyone else. If you are in a noob game, you are telling me you have no formal experience with online mafia (excluding chat, because there is no way that helps with forum mafia except with terminology and playing styles) and you should not be in ANY other games until you do have the nice experience.

I just kept him on as a player based on his ability in random 1. for being his first game, he did rather well. would have been a good cult leader if one of his peeps hadn't gotten out of line.
Uhm, if he did rather well in a game as the friggin cult leader, I think that would be grounds to say he is experienced enough to not need practise in a new player game.
For the sake of the players and mods of the games, he can stay in all three, but seriously, PLAYERS MAY NOT JOIN GAMES IF THEY ARE ALREADY PLAYING IN TWO OTHER GAMES. THIS INCLUDES SPECIALTIES AND NEW PLAYER GAMES.

Replacements? No.
You may sign up to be a replacement, but you are passed over for anyone at all who happens to be in less games than you, so you can only replace as soon as you are removed from another game.
An exception I just thought of is games that have revives and roles with some use after death. If you are in two, and are revived, you may continue. Activity after death does not count as playing in the game.

On mafiascum, they have a newbie game consist of two experienced players and 5 inexperienced players. That way, there's some people who can give good advice and help the noobs figure out what is good strategy and what isn't.
I don't think these games should be relegated only to new players. (Especially since I want to play.)
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.

Signing up for a specialty is done by PMing me a setup and getting it confirmed. You cannot get in line and make a game afterwards. In other news, I have also signed up for specialty.

Actually, can you put me down to host another specialty game after this one is over? (I realize there are 2 or 3 people in front of me again, but I want to sign up before I forget.) That one WILL be Mage Mafia for 20-25 players.
Updating. Billking is up, if he responds quickly.
The next two hosts should be ready to host their own.
EDIT: Hvir has been unlisted as he has not been in any recent games.

This is unfair. I recently hosted English Literature Mafia on the 'other' site, and I had not been given any cautions with respect to this.
Furthermore, I have received numerous PMs from active Mafia players who have actually attempted to 'book' a place in World Domination Mafia 2. I ask you to reconsider.
EDIT: Furthermore, where exactly in the rules in the OP does it say that hosts HAVE to participate in recent games?
Quote from Post #1 »
FOR ALL HOSTS
The requirement is 3 games on MTGS/N completed, or a total of 4 played anywhere on the internet, OR a completed (not dropped/host replaced) game (that you hosted) on another site, regardless of the total games you have played.
If you are signing up to host, note that the length of games may vary, but will probably be anywhere from one month to three, so you will have a while to get ready, but dont wait too long. You should be ready by the time the game before yours is down to 50% original members, and have it checked if necessary by the time the previous game ends.
Well, whatever is up next, can I get a spot in the game? I don't want to miss out if they post the sign up at some ungodly hour (like 8am or something).
Well, whatever is up next, can I get a spot in the game? I don't want to miss out if they post the sign up at some ungodly hour (like 8am or something).
seconded (although I already PMed Mr. King about this).
Uh. Well I had not seen any activity from you Hvir, and thus you were dropped.
Activity on MTGN, GL, MScum, AIM, or any other internet mafia gaming has no effect whatsoever on you being active here.
You will be readded, and you dont have to be so pissy about it, all I needed was confirmation of your availability. (And no, I did not PM you. I probably should have, but every person I have suspected thusfar of being inactive has not read or returned a PM, so I saw no reason to continue this practice.)
EDIT: And I have nothing to do with the actual signing up for a game. Ask the host.
EDIT2: TEXT REMOVED, Added to first post (EDIT 3)
EDIT3: Above text moved to rules post, clauses added and deleted to the rules post.
Fadeblue, could I have a large chunk of this thread severed and moved to a locked thread so that this one's size goes down, and so I know where to look if I need information from the beginning until now. Thanks.
Also, note Can anyone with a specialty game that has been submitted to me PM me again. Remind me of the number of players and general theme. I am supposed to be making a list, and I need to confirm the people. Okay, someone has already done this, and I really dont need your full role list.
EDIT: Crop, I assume you have enough, since you have been playign for ages, but could you just edit three games into your post, so others see that they still need to? Thanks.

You did not actually have enough experience, and you also happened to try and sign up a second time. Due to your error, you were on the list twice, and the first entry was automatically nullified, making the more recent one valid.
Hvir jumped the gun on his signups, and I would very much like to see them deleted, as the players who signed up there will probably end up signed up in BKs game. If they are in BKs, then they cannot be in Hvirs, which causes the possibility of players being in all three usual games on the site, which is currently against the rules.

That is correct (see title) Azrael is the newest member of the council, which had a vacancy due to reed's absence.
Welcome him, but dont do it in this thread, because then it would be spam
EDIT: Fade, could we have every post from the second to the one right before this cut and locked? I have been complaining about the size of the thread for ages, and I think the creation of the Council thread and Azrael joining is a large turning point that will hopefully turn this thread into purely signups, unlike much of the posts in this thread currently.
