unvote I really don't know what is getting done in this thread right now. I'll keep reading. Mostly I wanted to say that i'm non-black, and that unsan's logic make plenty of sense to me. It's wrong, but it males sense. And now I will use an old tactic to make it look like I'm not spamming and type about how I'm not spamming.

sorryguy and others: I never said lynching a vanilla townie is good. What i do is that if someone looks scummy to me, and claims a vanilla townie, i am not going to unvote me because:
a) they are scummy
b) even if they are telling the truth, all they are is a vanilla townie. You can't expect to hit scum on day 1, unless you get lucky.
I'm nonblack.
I don't see how this is solving anything, maybe one of the people accusing greebo and unsanitary is the mafia! oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo........ the mystery is so...... mysterious.
By my count, that's 14 people who have indicated something about their color. Let's keep going. We need at least a majority to claim something before we can start analyzing.
By the way, pawn907, that was a rather unhelpful (and perhaps intentionally obstructive) post. The rest of your post history hasn't exactly been stellar either. FOS pawn907.
Also, I skimmed through the 7th Rares, and apparently there are 37 Rare non-black creatures. Now, depending upon the number of Mafia (Let's say 7). That means there are 15 cards that won't be counter-claimed.
Sorry had to get that out of my system. Your "good logic" has been shot to bits time and time again. That coupled with calling SorryGuy 'vote happy' after his first vote, and everything else I've noticed from you, is making you look worse and worse. I'm just about ready to put put a vote on you, but I'd like to see if you can redeem yourself with your defense.
<sigh> It’s tough, because the only logic of mine that you’ve “shot to bits” is in the form of, “well, people don’t DEFEND other people unless they’re mafia.” Once you guys show me a good argument, then I’ll defend that, because what you’ve presented me is really stupid. I forget who posted this a couple posts back, but they said, “no matter what you do these days, you’re mafia.” So I’m sorry if my experience is too much for you to handle.

Is he normally hypocritical? Evidence-
Post #174- unsan attacks SorryGuy for calling him vote-happy and says he can call SorryGuy vote happy as well, following that up with “your logic sucks”.
To date unsan has voted for 3 people while SorryGuy has voted for 1… unsan.
Let’s take a look at these votes of mine, huh?
Vote 1 – completely random vote, was going to take off no matter what happened. It’s how you break the ice in mafia games, and they’re pointless and meaningless.
Vote 2 – This was an accidental vote, because I thought that Vecna’s FOS was a vote. I’ll give you that one, but I meant nothing by it. Please note the reasons I voted for him (which is why everyone’s voting for me, but eh.).
Vote 3 – This is who I’m voting for now, and with good reason, too (dragyn_mage). Those “good reasons” are the same reasons on why I voted for Vecna (accidentally) earlier, I was just moving down the line of evil scumbags who need to be lynched.
Why not take a look at yourself, dragyn_mage? You’ve voted for at least two people (I’m not going to bother looking for any other votes you’ve made), and you’re bandwagoning like a fool. Plus, you’ve come up with different arguments for each, which is being “vote-happy.” Not to mention you got extremely defensive when I voted you.

Now. I looked through to my first post pertaining to this topic, and there’s still been no good argument brought up against me, other than (I forget. Puzzle?) showed me a suicidal townie in ONE newbie mafia game in the HISTORY of mafia games where the suicidal townie ended up being a Mafioso. I’ve been playing games for two years, and I’ve never been a part of a game where a suicidal townie was mafia, and I’ve seen one case.
And think about it. If me and Greebo were both mafia, would I really slip up and go all-out defending him like that? No, I’d obviously attack so that I could blend in with the crowd.

I've gone suicidal in Ninja Mafia on 'News. Of course...that was because it was impossible for me to win. Somehow I nearly caused a Tie game though...
Now, I think you're 5 votes away from being lynched. Some better information other than "I'm a Blue Town" might be necessary.
I'll post a defense later because there's one minute left of class before my next one. But right now, I'll just say that I'm a blue rare right now, because none of you guys can grasp the concept of good logic.
We all waited patiently...

Should I have rolled over and claimed vanilla townie? Maybe you would have defended me. But seriously, let me get this straight. Greebo's first reaction was to defend himself, but he's ok. I defend myself and *don't* give up and I'm mafia. Wow, you just can't *not* be hypocritical, can you? Maybe the lies are just getting too close for comfort. No way out but to contradict yourself?

Not sure *what* you should have done. I said it before and I'll say it again. I think you are cocky enough to think you could pull a scam like this off and now you are trying to find a way out. Instead of clearing yourself and posting the defense *you* said you would earlier, you try to find faults with other players and draw attention away from yourself.

This is an unfair attack on draygon. You attack him as if he has as much experience as you. You've said that you have nearly two years of experience. He's said that this is his first mafia game. Generally, people will make mistakes like bandwagoning and such. I actually find draygon has been playing fairly well for his first game.

There's a huge difference between "defending yourself" and "getting defensive." If you can't tell the difference, then by all means, continue to vote me, because you'd be incredibly naive.

Honestly, I have to agree with pawn about the color claims. Who is going to say that they're a black rare? Even if they do, what good will it do? We wouldn't be able to verify that they were townies unless they died. That wouldn't happen unless we lynched them, since the mafia surely would want us to think that any black townies were mafia, thus giving us non-mafia targets. Nevertheless, I'm not black. Don't let anyone say that I'm trying to slow the game down. The faster we decide that this is pointless, the sooner we can get on to something else.
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
You know, there is an old saying that I normally follow. "Never argue with an idiot. He'll bring you down to his level then beat you with exerience." I think we have just disproved that. I would at least respect you if you had one, just one valid argument. I may be new to mafia, but I hav been arguing all my life. You cannot beat logic and facts with hot air and name-calling. It doesn't matter that you haven't done anything worth saving you for, you will be gasping bandwagon as your legs twitch their last. Argue with logic and save yourself.

Or a red rare at that? Also without everyone here, with 3 or maybe it is four missing regardless they are going to be said to be black as they are all away and everyone esle will claim non-black/red.

May we please have a restatement of the original arguments against unsan. I will attempt to refute them myself, and would prefer he not even get involved. Unless he does, and then I dont care.

unsan, if you want more examples of scum self-voting, go read the Self-Voting thread on mafiascum. Maximus and Mr. Flay give two examples. I can go dig up more if you want, but it'll take some time. I've read more games than I can keep track of.
carrion: There are reasons for continuing with the black/nonblack claim. I could explain them, but I'd rather wait and see what the rest of the players do.
Every other person on this forum was able to read them and see that you are scummy enough to either vote for or FOS at one point in time or another. Maybe the mafia can't read what we post.
Thanks guys for the backup. I am learning to ignore the votes till they're important and grounded in fact.

Ok then fade. It seems like unsan will either get bandwagoned down or get out of this at this point so I guess I will doom myself to death. Aim your bullets this way, I am Black.
It is indeed starting to look like the mafia is black; at any rate, people have been reluctant to claim it. That would mean that the major difference between this game and Kamigawa mafia has disappeared. However, my reservations about doing what we did in Kamigawa Mafia apply here just as they did in Kamigawa: Given the number of unfilled roles, gradually narrowing claims can actually give the mafia better chances to find a safe claim. Furthermore, it can narrow their targets - if someone were to be forced into revealing he was, say, a white 1/1, the mafia's bound to decide there's a good chance he's the doctor. Then again, we trapped at least one mafia (armlx) through this, so maybe I'm wrong.
Still don't see CropCircles as suspicious yet. His logic is grim, but valid. And Greebo's slipped under the rader again. Unsan, on the other hand, has been flailing about like a hooked fish. Then again, I thought that of Azrael, too, in Kamigawa.

Vive, vale. Siquid novisti rectius istis,
candidus inperti; si nil, his utere mecum.
Would someone please give an argument for either side of this, please? As far as I know, the only thing Unsan actually did was:
defend someone who most agree seems likely to be scum by saying that his behavior isn't scummy. Puzzle showed how the behavior certainly doesn't demonstrate innocence. Unsan insisted that one exception doesn't disprove the rule. Something like 5 other people said they had seen exceptions. (Personally, I haven't, but I very much believe it.)
dismiss all of these claims by saying that he had never seen it in 2 years.
insist (condescendingly) that anyone who has seen it (except for Puzzle) was wrong and naive.
Despite the fact that his attitude drives me crazy and I would love to see him lynched, y'all are going to have to do it without me, because Unsan is doing ALL of this in defense of Greebo, and any genuine evidence against Unsan (besides that he's an obnoxious punk) is based off of the assumption that Greebo is guilty. The thoughts about Unsan picking an innocent to defend doesn't hold water as an argument, since there isn't any evidence against Unsan if Greebo is innocent. Therefore, I'm going to change my Unvote Unsan back to Vote Greebo.

I think the majority of people think Unsan is guilty because they don't like his attitude. Unfortunately, Unsan is always like that :p.
Yeah, but mostly when I get frustrated. I like this game in the sense that it's gotten me worked up and excited about mafia again.
I still don't see more than one exception, and unless I see the threads and such, I'm going to consider myself viewing one exception. And as the old saying goes, "Don't let one bad apple ruin the tree"...or something like that.
Not much else to say, but are both paladins black? I thought one was red. (I guess never playing with 7th hasnt helped me... Ima go look at the card list.)
There are only 4 "Paladins" in 7th: the Eastern and Western are both Black, while the Southern and Northern are both White. The Eastern and Western can destroy Green and White creatures respectively, while the Southern and Northern can destroy Red and Black permanents respectively. The only other "Knights" in 7th are White and Black as well.
The only Red Paladin was in Alliances actually: Lim-Dul's Paladin to be precise.
A black common eh. Thisis making me extremly uncomfortable because noone has even come out as being non-rare yet and now you're black too. Ill review your posts so far to check on your motives.

Someone has alluded to there being Uncommon's too, though I'm not quite sure of the reasoning behind that. I see what you mean though.
I still don't see more than one exception, and unless I see the threads and such, I'm going to consider myself viewing one exception. And as the old saying goes, "Don't let one bad apple ruin the tree"...or something like that.
Any experienced player should know that one of the prime rules of mafia is to never make assumptions, and that nothing is ever 100% truth. You should know by now that you can't rely on strict rules such as "all self-voters are townies." Remember that Mafia has a metagame too, just like Magic. Even if it were 100% true up until this point, anyone could take advantage of that assumption. I hate it when people play like this; it can very often be a liability for the town (I've seen way too many games where people make assumptions about people's characters or game setups).
I'm still of the opinion that you're not the scummiest player out here right now, but if you really want to help the town, it would be best to not be so hostile and antagonistic, because you're only wasting the town's time if you're truly townie.
Alright. I've been watching unsan like a hawk over the past few pages, but I've got to come out to support him, for the time being. He simply seems incredibly misguided as to the probability of suicidal mafia.
And in regards to his role-claim, I think that tends to favor him. Mahamoti is a card that we can definitely count on to be in this game, it's one of blue's signature cards in the set. And, unless we have evidence of a blue mafia member or a counter-claim, that leaves him in the clear, for the time being.
Greebo still hasn't convinced me, yet. Only one red townie coming forward is hard to buy, just as one black townie coming forward is hard to buy. I can see only a few possible explanations for this:
1. The mafia are sticking their necks out on the line to save their men, and risking investigation.
2. They're telling the truth, but they're the only black or red townies we have: the rest would be mafia-aligned, and those two are anomalies that Highroller planted to throw us off.
3. Greebo is the true anomaly, and the other red townie came forward in order to gain relative clearance if he was lynched.
If either of the first two possibilities are true, then Greebo remains uncleared, and his innocence remains in doubt. If he's townie, then we have some strong leads to follow up on the second day.
I'm non-black.
Not spam: FoSCropCircles. Be back later...
a) they are scummy
b) even if they are telling the truth, all they are is a vanilla townie. You can't expect to hit scum on day 1, unless you get lucky.
I don't see how this is solving anything, maybe one of the people accusing greebo and unsanitary is the mafia! oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo........ the mystery is so...... mysterious.
By the way, pawn907, that was a rather unhelpful (and perhaps intentionally obstructive) post. The rest of your post history hasn't exactly been stellar either. FOS pawn907.
I have really already posted everything I am thinking up to this point.
I realize this is spam but there is really nothing else to say.
Also, after soem diliberation
Unvote Greebo
FOS Greebo
My suspicions weren't all that strong, and my vote was sorta spur of the moment. Meh. FOS stands due to his activities though.
Also, I skimmed through the 7th Rares, and apparently there are 37 Rare non-black creatures. Now, depending upon the number of Mafia (Let's say 7). That means there are 15 cards that won't be counter-claimed.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! FOS FOS FOS FOS FOS pawn907! “I’m not going with the crowd.” “Oh wait I am.” [just wanted to get that little tidbit out of the way. Not that this was his first post of the game]
OMFG linkage
I've gone suicidal in Ninja Mafia on 'News. Of course...that was because it was impossible for me to win. Somehow I nearly caused a Tie game though...
Now, I think you're 5 votes away from being lynched. Some better information other than "I'm a Blue Town" might be necessary.
We all waited patiently...
We got...
Wow. What a defense. Let me quote that again in case someone missed it.
Ok, on to the serious stuff...
Just for the record, I have exactly 2 votes. I meant both of them.
If I may borrow one more quote...
You still cling to this strange idea that a suicidal townie turning out to actually be mafia almost never happens. Other than, Puzzle, both Fadeblue and I have mentioned that it does happen, and as I said before, I've seen it plenty of times.
Well, seeing as that's the only logic you've presented, we've blasted all of your logic to bits.
This is an unfair attack on draygon. You attack him as if he has as much experience as you. You've said that you have nearly two years of experience. He's said that this is his first mafia game. Generally, people will make mistakes like bandwagoning and such. I actually find draygon has been playing fairly well for his first game.
You've failed to convince me that you're a town, so I will vote Unsanitary999
There's a huge difference between "defending yourself" and "getting defensive." If you can't tell the difference, then by all means, continue to vote me, because you'd be incredibly naive.
So, either you misread my post or you're incredibly naive.
Scam? You're being awfully judgemental considering the lack of arguments brought up against me. I tell it like it is, man. Don't know what fantasy world you're living in.
But you are right. I'm trying to find a way out, but it's tough getting past CrapLogic and bandwagoning.
I am the Mahamoti Djinn. I won't say anything more at this point.
OMFG linkage
Not much else to say, but are both paladins black? I thought one was red. (I guess never playing with 7th hasnt helped me... Ima go look at the card list.)

Also are we going to replace the three people who are yet to post?
Edit, I will not FOS but cropcircles.....
Ho, and by the wat before "oh" would you have described this as spam Vecna?
I've never seen it, and Puzzle has shown me one example. That's it, you haven't shown me a single game in which this happens.
And I've blasted yours with more firepower.
See, you're being hypocrytical now. You're defending someone! Oh my god! Bandwagon you!
dragyn's not actually doing too bad in his first game. But I don't care if this is his first game or not. If he makes a flaw, I'm jumping on it.
OMFG linkage
Lack of arguments? Sorry, but there have been plenty of arguments most all of the good.
Let me fix that second part of your quote:
[qoute=unsanitaryy999]But you are right. I'm trying to find a way out, but it's tough against good logic that has me beat.
That's what you were trying to say I believe
Right now, I don't believe a word you're saying, since you continously try to get out by simply dismissing all the arguments presented to you instead of analyzing them.

Show me the arguments, and I'll defeat them. Please. I beg of you; it's tough to not know what you have to defend against.
OMFG linkage
I can't show you the games because as I said when I first said it, that I haven't played many online games - mostly I have played in real life.
I have yet to see you actually do something other than dismiss arguments. You don't prove anything by just dismissing arguments.
I'm done with you.
This is from a mod PoV again, obv.
As a mod, I have no clue what you are saying. Consider this a warning to a warning, make more sense next time, dont call me a ho, and explain how it can be spam before a word that you did not include in your post except to tell me what word to look before.
im not stupid, i know you meant to write "oh", but please attempt to speelchecklsksah your posts in the future. yes, that was intentional right there

Or a red rare at that? Also without everyone here, with 3 or maybe it is four missing regardless they are going to be said to be black as they are all away and everyone esle will claim non-black/red.
You're right, I should follow that sometime. You cannot beat logic and facts with hot air, name-calling, and pointless and absurd accusing.
Now, like I posted. Show me the goddamn arguments!
OMFG linkage
May we please have a restatement of the original arguments against unsan. I will attempt to refute them myself, and would prefer he not even get involved. Unless he does, and then I dont care.

carrion: There are reasons for continuing with the black/nonblack claim. I could explain them, but I'd rather wait and see what the rest of the players do.
Thanks guys for the backup. I am learning to ignore the votes till they're important and grounded in fact.
also, you damn sarnath'd me
Im almost done doing my own analysis of the creature list.

Ok then fade. It seems like unsan will either get bandwagoned down or get out of this at this point so I guess I will doom myself to death. Aim your bullets this way, I am Black.
Just some wierd term for when someone else posts what you're going to say while you're typing

Also, yeah sarnath'd means what he said, I like to tell people it means beaten to the punch.

Then again, I thought that of Azrael, too, in Kamigawa.

defend someone who most agree seems likely to be scum by saying that his behavior isn't scummy.

Thank you! You're one of the first people to make sense of my argument against me and about me in general.

Vote Greebo.
I'm curious to know if anyone else in this game is vanilla. I somehow doubt that if there were vanillas, that there'd be only one.
