Sorry this is late, Deus. I had to think a few things regarding this through, and make a character for Talore's. I'm also giving you one rank in a craft skill of your choice. Something you could've reasonably learned in your life. Also, one rank in knowledge(nobility&royalty), due to your upbringing.
These mostly serve as fluff. You might get some benefit, but might not.
You are sleeping in your treehouse, one of your own construction. It is quite sturdy and safe, even if mostly by your own words. Nothing as fancy as some others, but still enough to call home, and hey, it's your first one. You have some leaves and a deer hide to sleep on, a roof atop you, and some shelter from wind and rain. What more do you need?
Either way, when you went to sleep, you were quite exhausted from last day's hunt. There was a bear nearby, and it had been posing a threat to some of the children in your tribe, so obviously it had to get hunted down or driven away. It didn't seem too content to do the latter, so it attacked head-on once caught, and was put down. No one got badly wounded, luckily. A beast of that size could do some serious damage.
Either way, in the middle of your well-deserved sleep, there is a loud crack followed by loud thwack. Really loud. Loud enough to shake the ground and wake you up, which really means it was loud.

Turner was startled by the loud crack as a he woke up and ran to the opening he called a window. He looked around to see what was causing the sound.

From your location, you cannot see anything. It does, however, feel though as something has changed. Something that was is no more. The feeling is hard to put into words.

Turner hears the sounds of other nearby elves waking up to the sound and coming down from their trees in a distance. While this is all he sees or hears, he does smell something. Smoke, and it seems to be coming from the center of the elves' inhabited area.

As Turner approaches the center, the smoke gets thicker. It starts to be quite difficult to see what is going on, and there is a foul stench with the smoke unlike any you've had the displeasure of smelling before. It is revolting and sickening.
While you cannot see anything, you can hear that the elves have been alerted, and you also hear another sound - that of a battle - from ahead.
Fort Save DC 10 or Sickened. This repeats every round for as long as you stay in the cloud, and lasts for that round only.

As you approach the sounds, it gets fairly clear that it's not really a battle. It's the sound of people hacking something wooden low, and yelling incomprehensibly while they are at it. There is also a fire forward: Even though you cannot make the specifics out, it's evident by the light emanating from that direction.

Turner realizes that, for some reason, people are chopping down trees. He knows this isn't the work of the elves. He draws his bow, and knocks an arrow.
Instead of taking the direct path toward the sounds, Turner veers to the right, going into the brush along the path. He then moves through the brush (attempt move silently), to get a closer look without compromising his position.

Turner was hit by something, and looks around to see what it was. If it is an enemy, he is going to run away from it (shift away if he is close, then run).

With his keen senses Turner sees the object a moments before it strikes, and then as it continues its' way away from him in the fog. It's clearly a branch from a large tree, flailing around apparently in random.
Trying to recover from the hit that almost sent him off his feet, Turner hears a silent sound from his right side, slightly forward. It sounds like feeble coughing.

Turner climbs down from his hut as fast as he can, once again looking around and trying to see or listen where the sound came from.
