Sorry for vanishing. I unfortunately don't think I'm going to have time to be all that active, but I'll try to keep up with the thread and post when possible.
Lyrillon lets out a small sigh of relief as the deity takes the head from Harahel. He stands there, thinking about what has just happened for a moment before looking at the others.
"That was surprisingly simple," he says with a smile. "I vote we all get some rest while we're on this island. If we can find an area where magic works I'll teleport us back to Tychos in the morning."
"Worry not," The Archimandrite says; "I am able to control the barrier. I will send you back, but please rest first. This may be the last you see of this place."
"Hmmm, it has been a long time since I've been to this city." Grey says as he begins walking around trying to remember his way.
Looking for a fellow traveler Grey approaches someone on the street "Excuse me sir, do you know perchance where I may find the Dean of Conjuration? I was asked to deliver something to him" the tall Dragon looking man tries not to make himself look intimidating. "I have a scroll for him, perchance you know where I may find him."
The heavy armor gleams in the sun causing many to avert there eyes, but still Grey holds his ground hoping to find the directions he needs to complete his current mission. His form is somewhat bulky and seems clumsy from a casual eye, but a proper look shows that he is quick to move when required.
"Damn! What in the name of the Spider Queen's Drider pet sock puppet is going on!?"

"I'm sorry to say the Dean has been killed," He answers politely; "And you see it seems the assassin was off with his soul. Rumor has it there was a group of people who saw him before he died, but no one seems to know where they went."
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

"Hmm, that is not good. Do you know who may know where they went? Or perhaps when they will be back?"Grey begins looking around to the other people on the street, hoping to see someone that may have a bit more connection to the Dean or this so-called group.
Grey's eyes focus a little more trying to see down the roads, wondering where a group could go with a soul of someone so powerful. "I may need the help of the one who watches." Grey says to himself as he looks back to the man waiting for a small response.

Neishu just smiles at Adel's reaction, he picks up the little winged ball and tucks her under one arm, while sliding his provision box back into his bag of holding as best as he can with his other hand.
"Hopefully she wont nap for a dragon age" he says chuckling, he has honestly never seen a creature who could nap as well as Adel.

Grey hears some conflicting and disturbing reports about this group.
One elderly man tells him that they killed the divine princess Iostaia. His companion argues with him about the matter, saying they did the opposite.
A younger woman says she heard they blew up the temple to Chthonia that had been hidden in the south.
A soldier says he was on a ship with them when they fought off pirates working for the Rebellion. The masked priest with him tells Grey they had been contracted by the Blue Empress herself to deliver a tribute by sea to Tychos.
A third priest says they had received orders recently from the Arbiter of Tychos.
A shifty looking guy tells him this:
"I had several clients ask me to watch them," He explains; "First they stayed at the palace of the Dean of Conjuration the night that he was killed. They were present at the masquerade in the south where that princess was kidnapped... Then they went to the lab of Professor Hiquinok, the gnome abjurer. They went to see the Curator some time after that, and then they vanished."
He hears the near verbatim account of three similar individuals, as well as wildly differing accounts from a variety of other people.
"Hmmm, I see, I will have to find them and get the answers myself. Where can I find the Arbiter of Tychos? Hopefully he can guide me to them."
Grey continues looking around the streets, hoping to see them without further need of investigation. But he knows this will not be an easy confrontation. He prepares himself mentally for the road ahead, praying to Helm that these are only mere circumstances and coiencidences.

The next day, the group returns to the same courtyard.
The Archimandrite stretches his dessicated hand into the fountain of white flame, and all of a sudden, you can feel the hint of magic return.
"Where would you like to return?" The mummified mystic asks.

Grey finds a priest willing to explain the court building where the Arbiter resides, though he explains that without an appointment there is no way that he will be able to meet with him.
Finding the government center to the city, Grey sees what appears to be a public arena. Two winged figures that radiate Order stand, blindfolded. One bears a scale and a tome, the other, a sword and a shield. Priests and law-mages scurry about on inscrutable tasks. A domed structure at the center is where the Arbiter is said to reside. The tall gilded doors are closed, and soldiers guard the entrance.

Lyrillon nods politely to the Archimandrite. "I believe the best place now would be the library in Tychos," he says with a smile. The half-celestial turns to the others, wondering whether anyone will raise an objection.
"Thank you," he adds, looking back at the mummified holy creature.
Rory, who seems quite a bit tired, comes running after the rest of the group. "I was informed that we are embarking soon, and I take it you aren't content leaving me here, either, so I'll just tag along." You can't help but notice he seems quite happy about something.

Lyrillon seems to purposefully ignore Harahel's 'half-breed' remark and continues with the conversation. "No," he says shaking his head. "I would prefer to leave him here, but I fear he will find a way out if we do that. Assuming he manages to get off the island far enough to use magic, I would prefer to have him with us."
He looks at Harahel. "I agree that this would be a good place for him to stay, but I don't think that's as practical as you seem to."
"Well he is a rather unorthodox gnome i give you that, but he handled himself well against the demons, so as long as we keep a good check on him he could actually prove useful to the cause, that we would have to worry about the Abyss is a regrettable drawback, however can you truly be sure that at some point our enemies wouldnt make a contract with the lower planes to deal with us?" Neishu asks calmly, a grin in his face as he keep making the 'mistake' of referring to Rory as a gnome.
