Nuts. One ailment after another. I hate congestion; it makes eating things hard.
Day XIII
kpaca hustles off at the red dawn, watching the blackest waves flow in at the beach. He figures he should take in some of the sights before the 20 days are up.
Tanarin gets up shortly thereafter and sluggishly walks towards the mess hall when a dagger flies swiftly through the air, piercing his back. ced395 grins from his hidden position, but the grin is soon wiped when a second Tanarin gets out of the tent and walks to the mess hall. ced395 quickly inspects the corpse after Tanarin leaves, cursing about the randoms that take his attacks.
SumPhatGuy heads towards the beach himself, flying now on the wings of a dream. Oh, and a derringer in his hand. (You know, those are real effective weapons.) Man, this seems so far beyond reality...
Edghyatt wakes up and turns on his tracker, seeing the closest moving target as kpaca. He hustles towards the beach and finds kpaca sitting, unarmed. He opens fire with his six-shooter, only to watch the bullets fall straight into the ground. kpaca grins, having activated a magnetic field with such strength that it altered the path of the bullets. Edghyatt curses his bad luck when SumPhatGuy drives full-force into Edghyatt's back, inserting a single shot into his back. Edghyatt collapses, and in the ensuing chaos, kpaca hurries back to the camp.
SumPhatGuy nails Edghyatt in a failed assassination attempt. Emo_Pinata, Some One, you've respawned for Day XIV action. Moves are due in ~36 hours* (2/12, 9PM EST).
*The workload at my college has picked up, so I'm extending round durations to accomodate. Sorry for any inconvenience.
If it's been told once, it's been told a million times: paranoia is everywhere.
Like children listening carefully to the bombing protection videos, players begin to wonder if it's for the best to hide under the desk. (Except we don't have a damaged hydrogen bomb on this Island, nor did we bury it.)
Some One and ced395 feel that this threat is nothing short of dangerous to everyone, so they begin planning a hideaway (each for themselves, of course. Group efforts mean nothing when you need to score some number of kills each day.)
Emo_Pinata decides that if Some One's going to build a shelter, he won't be around to focus on the other actions in the camp. Primarily the action involving a dagger in the chest. (Wait, no.) Sorry, backside. Emo_Pinata approaches with the speed and stealth of a cheetah (well, I guess I wouldn't say cheetahs are perfectly stealthy, but they're friggin' fast.) He swiftly makes a single movement and plunges the blade into Some One's back. Or so we think.
The blade is indeed in some one. Some one acting as Some One. ced395, fearing his own well-being, pulls out a walkie-talkie and relays back to camp his danger scenario. ced395 responds, telling the duplicant to keep a distance. Victory is life. Life is good. It's good to survive. Survive another day for another victory later. (And then whatever circular logic syllogism jazz you want.)
kpaca, hearing a brief radio transmission from ced's tent, grabs a dual-action crossbow and a SWAT shield (where he got the latter, I have no clue.) He bursts out of his tent and past SumPhatGuy, who is phatly defending his turf and his rear, having lined the surrounding of his tent with an electromagnetic field. (He tests it with a rabbit, who is significantly left worse for the wear.*)
Tanarin decides that all of this paranoia is good for the soul, and he rushes away from camp and to the Chamber. As he scurries up the path, two arrows land squarely in his back. He collapses to the ground, kpaca behind him with an empty crossbow now.
*No rabbits were harmed in the production of Day XIV activities.
Tanarin, bad timing on the risk. kpaca has claimed you. Edghyatt, you respawn for Day XV action. Moves are due in ~40 hours (give or take 11AM, 2/14/09).

2) ced395 - Use Civilian
3) Emo_Pinata - Shoot Some One
4) kpaca - Shoot Tanarin

A voice calls out to my head, bellowing "Imagination rationed!" I sigh.
A new dawn comes on the Island. Tanarin is recuperating in the ward, but the remaining players must start planning their last five days appropriately.
Emo_Pinata, normally an early riser, gets up as he should, like clockwork. He heads out unarmed, guessing that for once, everyone will lazy out and act like goldfish in their bowls--er, tents.
kpaca, perhaps sensing Emo_Pinata's thought pattern, indeed does that. He puts a five dollar bill in his duplicate's pocket and goes to sleep. (Seriously, sleeping is all these guys have got to do to pass a day.)
Emo_Pinata makes quick work of the distance to the Chamber. As he returns, he sees Edghyatt advancing up an abandoned forest trail. Quickly altering course, he sees Some One approaching on the very path he's walking. Emo_Pinata mutters something about things never going your way when you have the game moderator dictate your thought processes for all the readers and players to see, and quickly dives into the nearest bush. They both pass, and Emo_Pinata hightails it back to camp.
SumPhatGuy decides that the lines for the toilets are too long (since all my employees tend to do is putter around and drink loads of water). He hurries off into the forest to relieve himself. As he begins to leak, Edghyatt jumps out of a tree and lunges for SumPhatGuy's throat. Aptly, like some sort of potty demon, SumPhatGuy dodges and continues to maintain his aim.
Some One pulls out a sniper rifle and points it squarely at SumPhatGuy's rear. He fires, but by that time, SumPhatGuy is gone. At least he's quick about The First Movement when his life is in danger.
[Due to game moderator error, we must fix the status quo. I am hereby requesting that all players resend moves for Day 16. My apologies.]
Some One shoots Edghyatt in the head. (I wish I could be more practical, but time is of the essence on my end.)
As the dejected Edghyatt and Some One returns to camp; ced395 darts up the hill and loads up at the Chamber.
No deaths. Some One kills Edghyatt. We're 75% of the way, five more days. Tanarin, you've respawned for Day 16 action. Moves are due in ~36 hours (2/15, 8:30AM).
1) Emo_Pinata - Load
2) kpaca - Use Civilian
3) Edghyatt - Shoot SumPhatGuy
4) Some One - Shoot Edghyatt
5) SumPhatGuy - Guard
6) ced395 - Load
With just a mere four days (not counting this one) left, the players are acting antsy. They need to start scoring kills and fast. The more and the sooner, the better. Too bad getting new weapons isn't as efficient.
Tanarin is the first to awake on this morning. He grabs his usual protective gear and takes a morning stroll through the woods. Nature is awesome, right? (The jeers of the staff yelling "Hippy!" can be heard from a distance.)
kpaca and Some One awake. Both figure that they should make wise moves while the time is right. They both walk towards the Chamber, under the impression that no one is ever awake at this hour to watch the path to the Chamber. But Tanarin is still on his stroll, a six-shooter in his hand, and paranoia inset.
As kpaca and Some One turn around a bend on the path, Tanarin opens fire on Some One. A bullet lands squarely in his leg. He collapses in pain, moaning about bad luck. kpaca has taken this chance to hide behind a stone formation. As Tanarin approaches, Some One shouts at him: "Don't shoot!"
Tanarin points his weapon squarely on Some One's forehead when he realizes why he told him not to shoot: he's just a passerby who happens to look a lot like Some One. Tanarin curses and rushes back to camp, before anyone else can spot his error. Except...kpaca spotted the error. But he's got bigger fish to fry, and weapons to find. He hustles up the path and grabs his obligatory load.
Emo_Pinata hears the gunshot fired by Tanarin in the distance. He grabs his own rifle and moves out quickly, in order to avoid being caught in a firefight, but also be ready to earn some points from one. He charges up the path. Tanarin sees a figure approaching with a weapon in his hand, so he ducks into a bush along the side of the path. What he doesn't know about this bush is that it's been rigged to set itself on fire. Tanarin screams in pain as he is immolated. ced395 rushes away from the site, grinning about his pyrotechnic prowess.
The screams get the attention of SumPhatGuy, who figures he's better off turning away from the site. As he turns around, Emo_Pinata pulls his rifle and scores a single shot on SumPhatGuy. Emo_Pinata, apparently, is quicker than most people. Like a ninja. A Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot Construct.
ced395 scores a kill on Tanarin, Emo_Pinata gets SumPhatGuy. Edghyatt, you've respawned for Day 17 action. Moves are due in ~36 hours (10AM, 2/18).
Note: Due to this period being filled with stressful exams that I just don't comprehend all too well, there may be delays in updates to the rounds. I care more about my GPA and scholarship maintenance. >_>

Some of you may have been in shock since we invaded Canada and Mexico, but fear not, it was for a good cause. Now that we conrol North America, we produce an extra 5 armies a turn.^_^
We're winding down now. The five active players on day 17 seem to have got their games ready to roll. (Are we yet tired of the roman numerals?)
kpaca wakes up first out of the five and hurries off to the mess hall. (I think he's got the munchies.) Edghyatt gets up next, but sits awake in his tent for a bit, meditating with one of those weird-scented candles. (Maybe this is his attempt at a poor-man's sweat lodge. Without all the nasty dirt and stuff.)
Some One gets up and decides to be bold. He hurries off to the Chamber dressed in a bulletproof vest, in case some one opens fire on him. Well, no one does, really. He grabs his weapon and hurries back when his stomach grumbles. Ignoring the plea for food from his chest, Some One hurries back to his tent.
When he returns, his stomach grumbles again. Giving in, he goes to the mess hall, where his stomach is answered with a blade of cold steel. kpaca grins, a steel sword penetrating the vest and several inches of flesh. Some One collapses to the ground as kpaca removes the blade. He hears a noise and flees.
The noise is coming from Edghyatt, who heard Some One's last dying throes. He's less concerned and more pissed that some one beat him to the killing.
As the coroners come by to examine Some One's corpse, the stand-ins for ced395 and Emo_Pinata idle about for a bit, glad that they were not splayed on the ground.
Looks like you were better off with your first choice, SO. kpaca got your kill first. Tanarin, SumPhatGuy, you're up for Day 18 action. Next day starts once I get all moves (forget a timer, I guess, unless one of you disappear off the map).
1) kpaca - Shoot Some One
2) Edghyatt - Shoot Some One
3) Some One - Load
4) ced395 - Use Civilian
5) Emo_Pinata - Use Civilian
With time ticking away, the players begin to practice endgame theory. Well, Some One's practicing walking again in the recovery ward, but he'll be right as rain for the last two days. (Presuming he lasts that long.)
SumPhatGuy's private practice involves guns and glory. Specifically speaking, he's out to practice a point gain by leaving someone to bleed to death. He hurries off, not sensing any killing instinct behind him.
And right he is, as kpaca, Emo_Pinata, ced395, and Edghyatt hurry off like lemmings towards the Chamber. Normally, I'd write in an explanation about how they all died, but they didn't. Most of them came back safe. The hunter, Tanarin, nails one on the return trip. He bags the pelt of the kpaca lemming, grinning. The grin disappears when SumPhatGuy bags Tanarin, now taking any points owed to Tanarin for himself. The gunshots, on the overall, scare the remaining survivors to their tents. Some One grabs his weapon and leaves the recovery ward. (cue dramatic slow-paced movie scene-styled description)
Tanarin kills off kpaca, SumPhatGuy gets Tanarin. Day 19 moves are due whenever.
I really need not say much more than gangbanging. Without the death. Everyone alive shot at SumPhatGuy, with him guarding. Somehow, I predicted this, but thought there might be room for a secondary target. Guess I was wrong.
Tanarin, kpaca, you each have respawned for final day action. Though given the remaining possible movesets...
