Congrats to Whamme for winning 4CB #56!
Props to r_x_ for coolest deck!
Boooo on Dusk_ for bringing back evil infinite-turn decks! At least you didn't win
4CB #57 is a special format. There is an untouchable Heartbeat of Spring (not Mana Flare ;)) effect in play at all times. This is the second week of the March season.
Refer to the 4CB page for rules, archives, and Player of the Month standings.
Don't forget to submit your deck to me via PM. The format is:
So infinite turns on the first turn doesn't count as a first-turn kill? Is there a functional difference? The other person has the same chance of interrupting it.
16. Silicon vs. 15. Nazgul_Master
Supposed score 0-6
Should be 6-0
If I go first:
I play my hand out.
He plays Rishadan Port
I put, let's say 10,000 squirrels in play
He plays Tabernacle
During my upkeep I tap half of my squirrels to pay for them all, then attack him with the half that are still untapped
If he goes first,
He plays Blinkmoth Nexus
I play my hand out and the game continues as when I went first.
16. Silicon vs. 20. Spuzzem King
Supposed score: 2-2
Should be 6-0
If I go first:
I drop everything but Earthcraft and make a squirrel
he drops an island if he uses Echoing Truth on my token, he ends up getting one hit in with his djinn before I've got infinate squirrels attacking him, if he uses it on my nest, he gets in two hits (I play Earthcraft, he plays his djinn, I play my nest back, he attacks, I make tons of squirrels, he attack, I attack and win)
if he goes first
he plays an Island
I play exactly as when I go first, drop all but earthcraft and make a squirrel and the game proceeds as it does when I go first
16. Silicon vs. 30. Zorbop
Supposed Score: 3-3
Should be: 6-0
If I go first, I kill him before he has the chance to donate Illusions to me
If he goes first, he donates it to me, but I'll already have an army of squirrels, so I just tap a couple to pay the upkeep, then I attack him and win
As for rules:
Tapping and sacrificing a land still counts as tapping it for mana. If a land produces more than one type of mana, you choose which type the extra mana is.
Infinite turns isn't technically a first turn win. I've considered including it several times, but I haven't seen it to be necessary yet.
Greebo: He goes first and plays Spring. You go and play Chalice for 2. He untaps and Vindicates your Workshop. The game is a draw.
silicon: You're right on all of those. I somehow overlooked using Earthcraft to generate mana rather than just tokens :slant: I'll update those.
EDIT: silicon, you may have won more that that. I think I counted bounce as an auto-loss for you. I'll look over all the matchups tonight.
Err fadeblue... I submitted Thunderscape Master and Thornscape Battlemage not the other way round. I think you'll find that way round does significantly better.

[Card 3]
[Card 4]
Good luck all!
I completely missed the whole "Mana Flare" thing. That... might explain my horrible standings.
-Goblinboy
Sorry, I thought it was a metagame choice. Otherwise I would've reminded you about the Flare.
But now I'm prepared for this week
-Goblinboy
With a flare/heartbeat out, can you sacrifice a ruins of trokair for WWW? After all, you do have to tap it.
So, tapping and sacrificing doesn't count as tapping?
16. Silicon vs. 15. Nazgul_Master

Damn it, that complete messes me up. Why would you change it like that FB?
silicon: I fixed 2 other matches of yours, one against Ankh-Morporkian and the other against Alfred.
And still no analysis yet for this week.
