Okay, I'm going to open #3 tomorrow. I'm going on vacation on Tuesday, and won't be back until Friday afternoon, so I'll make the next deadline for Saturday, June 17, 5:00 MST. Please don't send me decks for #3 until I have the results up for #2 (because I need to clean out my inbox). Thanks!

Congragulations to SenorClown for winning 3CB #2!
*I realized after I began scoring that your deck can't win--your opponent can just not play a card and draw--so I replaced Wheel of Torture with Scalding Tongs, which do work. Sorry about that, although I don't think you can argue with the results.
BTW, I should draw against the pox deck. I just hold all of my cards until he casts something. If he casts Pox I discard Crush and win. Thus he doesn't cast anything and neither do I.
14. Naphtali
Black Lotus, Pox, Nether Spirit
Pox.dec
vs
3. BweeBwee
Dwarven Hold, Platinum Angel, Beacon of Destruction
Mmmkay, this time i'm gonna actually think
Current: 6-0
Suggested: 2-2 He holds everything. Best I can do is Pox, which will take his Beacon and get my spirit into play. I beat him down to 6, at which point his Angel hits. He can't beat me down as I can race him from there if he attacks, so he blocks and we draw.
5. Chimpanzee
Maze of Ith, Hollow Trees, Crush of Wurms
Please Hate Artifacts
Current: 6-0
Suggested: 2-2 He holds everything. The best I can do is cast Pox, he discards Trees or Wurms and then drops his maze which handles my Nether Spirit.
vs
6. SenorClown
Sand Silos, Darksteel Reactor, Energy Field
The Mighty Pen
Current: 6-0
Suggested: 2-2 Again he holds everything. Pitches the Reactor to Pox if I cast it and then can drop Energy Field before I can beat him down.
7. dasheiff
Black Lotus, Force of Will, Indentured Djinn
Er, Ah, Also old standby.dec
Current: 0-2
Suggested: 2-2 I presume this is just a grid error.
I didn't realise just how close to a mise deck this Pox thing was
yeah, ur right about the wheel.
the deck doesnt do much when i dont play anything.
thx for switching it to the tongs.
Actually, what I've done in the past (I run 3CB on themanadrain) is to let it run unless it's someone's first tournament - it draws pretty much everything, and it's not a mistake people tend to make more than once! Maybe I'm just an overly harsh moderator though.
Nice to see my Tempting Wurm creation doing well in a Lotus format, I've never tried it in one of these before!
As for the Pox vs. Beacon deck matchup, isn't it 2-2 if both players just hold everything? As soon as Beacon.dec drops any cards they get Poxed away, so nobody does anything and it's a draw.
@ Naphtali-right on all counts, except one: Chimp can discard Crush to Pox, and because it has flashback, he can hold off the Spirit with the Maze and win.
@ Naphtali-right on all counts, except one: Chimp can discard Crush to Pox, and because it has flashback, he can hold off the Spirit with the Maze and win.
But I won't cast pox until he has either the Maze or the Hollow Trees in play. If Pox takes the Maze, I can race with the Spirit before he can cast the Crush with Flashback. If Pox takes the Hollow Trees he obviously can't play the Crush. Thus, as Chimpanzee said, we both hold everything and draw both games.
@ Clown--it will be up either Friday night or Saturday. I'm still on vacation and can't be bothered.
As for Chimp v. Naphtali, you're basically passing the turn to him on both accounts. He plays the Maze. If you don't Pox then, he plays Hollow Trees next turn and can go for the win. If you do Pox, he discards Crush, then plays the Trees. He'll always hold Crush for Pox because it never hits more than one card.

@ Dog--that's a typo. I did the calculations using your deck.

I can choose not to play anything. If he Poxes, I discard Reactor and play Field. If he doesn't, well, nothing happens.
EDIT: Oh, oops, Naphtali already addressed it.
