Summary:
3CCB is a continuous and self-running game.
The object of the game is to make the best possible deck that can beat the most recently posted deck. You "win" if you post a deck that cannot be beaten.
**Before Submitting a Card Use the "Search This Thread" function. Make sure that your card has not been submitted. Its much easier than having a huge banlist.**
Rules:
1. After a card is used by someone, that card is banned.
2. In order to post a deck, the posted deck must beat the above deck on play and draw.
3. Land drops are followed under the same rules as 2CB.
4. You may only post one deck per post. (Strings of decks beating decks will not be accepted.)
5. You "win" if you submit an unbeatable deck.
CHALLENGE MODE ENGAGED: Make a deck that beats not just the deck directly above yours... but also the one above that.. and the one above that... and the one abo...
If you make a deck that beats multiple consecutive decks above yours, then you will be put on the front page in a tier list. Your deck must beat the decks on play and draw like normal. You must mention that your deck beats the above decks.
Ex: My deck beats the deck above and the 2 decks above that!
- This person's name will be put on the TIER 2 Level.
My deck beats the deck above and the deck above it!
- This person will be placed under Tier 2 in Tier 1.
THIS IS OPTIONAL... but w/e
*Reminder: There is not a ban on early discard or counter-spells in this format*
I think this format will work better than the 1CCB thread. The possible decks are enormous and new. The inclusion of the new 2CB land rule and the inherent nature of the game should lead to complex and powerful decks. Right now I think the 1CCB is just spinning its wheels. I think this format will have a decisive winner. Many powerful cards and combinations exist; that said I don't think someone will win extremely quickly. This is really just a test... and I want to see the forum active...
Just wanted to point out this doesn't work, even with lotus.
You drop Blackmail + Fiend, and nab two of the three, but the third will tie or beat.
Assuming you nab Mage and Chancellor (either would outrace fiend), the shoal can be used at 1WW to redirect fiend's 1 to itself, killing it, which would get back wincon. So you have to hold back from swinging at that point and it's a tie - play or draw.
I cast Nantuko Shade.
You smallpox. (I discard Crusader)
Hide Emrakul.
If you cast, I take 15, then cast innocent blood.
We tie.
(Sorry to spoil the funs)
Emrakul shuffles in when you Innocent Blood him. The line of play you gave loses to Smallpox both your guys, get to 15, win.
Also:
I can sacrifice the Shelldock Isle to re-set it each go through my deck.
An alternate line against yours: Smallpox, Hide Emrakul, use Hideaway to put Smallpox (rather than Swamp) as my next draw, Smallpox the Innocent Blood, cast Emrakul (this general line is relevant against any multi-answer deck, which is why I'm posting it)
1. Save FoW for Shoal. After I drop Sorin, I save it for reaper king (even with shoal, nexus/token trade). Eventually I amass a million tokens and swing.
2. FoW Fireball, easy kill.
3. FoW Mage. Make tokens. Swing for 1 to save against Shoal.
If he casts Chancellor, I ultimate to steal.
4. FoW Dunegrove. Leyline/Path are useless against me.
5. FoW Nantuko shade. Take a hit from Crusader.
Start making tokens to chump (they're monoblack).
Build up counters, -2 for emblem.
Take hit #2.
Start making 2/1 tokens that will trade with crusader.
Swing for victory after 11 of them.
6. FoW small pox.
By 14th turn, I have 9 tokens.
(that's enough to kill through swings - but..)
Emrakul, turn, swing
Sac 6, take 15, ultimate to steal Em.
(I want my own Emrakul, dammit!)
6. FoW small pox.
By 14th turn, I have 9 tokens.
(that's enough to kill through swings - but..)
Emrakul, turn, swing
Sac 6, chump block, ultimate to steal Em.
(I want my own Emrakul, dammit!)
I assumed you could aggro me out, but if you can't, you can't chump block either. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn has flying.
Turn 4 Ulamog? I think that beats turn 1 Norn. I might beat the deck before that too, I'm not sure how fast it is. I certainly beat the 2 decks above the cabal therapy deck.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.
If Ulamog is on the play:
T1: exploration
T1: Cabal Therapy > Garruk
T2: Lands
T2: Black Cat
T3: Lands
T3: Attack with cat (19/20)
T4: 8 Lands
T4: Attack for 1, make a token (18/20)
T5: 10 Lands
T5: Attack for 2, make a token, cabal therapy sac-ing a token > Ulamog, Shuffle (16/20)
T6: Garruk, Make a token
T6: Attack for 2, one is blocked, make a token (15/20)
T7: Ulamog, killing the city-tree, Garruk Makes a token -- I think I win from this point.
If Ulamog is on the draw:
T1: Cabal Therapy > Exploration
T1: 1 Land
T2: Black Cat
T2: 2 land
T3: Attack for 1 (19/20)
T3: 3 land
T4:
A) Attack, Cabal and Sac cat - garruk and ulamog and exploration shuffle in. I draw ulamog, then garruk, then exploration
B) Make a token - I play garruk the next turn and easily block any tokens. You can't attack with cat or I get exploration back. I think A is better.
(18/20)
Under A:
T4: Draw Ulamog, 4 Land
T5: Token
T5: Draw Garruk, play him, token, 5 Land
T6: Token
T7: Draw Exploration, play it, 7 land, make a token
T7: Token
T8: 9 Land, Untap 2, Ulamog, win
Under B:
T4: 4 land, Garruk, token
T5: Token
T5: 5 land, Token
T6: Token (3 total + black cat) -- If you attack here, You can kill garruk, but shuffling exploration in means that I get to ulamog faster.
T6: 6 land, +1 Garruk
T7: 4th token
T7: 7th land, 3rd token
T8: Now you attack with 4 tokens, 3 die, and you kill garruk. This delays ulamog for 2 turns. make a token (2 + cat)
From here, I don't attack, you only get to 5 tokens + cat -- Not enough to kill me before I cast ulamog.
I think I have a tier 4 win. Against Ensnaring bridge, I resolve T5 ulamog -- becons aren't quite fast enough. Against Sorin, he counters exploration. If he attacks with his tokens, I swing back and kill sorin. Either way, I'm going to attack with my 3/3's to keep his tokens under control. Eventually I can resolve Ulamog. If he tries to counter ulamog, he shuffles back in and I play him the next turn. How fast is emrakul in the smallpox deck? T3 Smallpox, Isle. T4 Emrakul? I can't beat that, lol. Tier 4.

I think this beats all posted decks.
Meddling Mage should still beat you when it's on the play, since it has Chancellor of the Annex backup.
That might do it...

edit:
Previous entry on Fow/Sorin v Catmurderer's deck was wrong.
Flashback hits sorin before he drops.
also, the entire list to beat, for those of us who are masochistic enough to try:
Who wants that elusive tier 10?

Garruk Wildspeaker

More facts of magic
On turn 4 you have 8 lands, for 8 mana from lands then 2 more from Garruk for 10 total, whereas Ulamog costs 11.
