Round 3.31
This round was a normal week.

knoboddi :: Raging Goblin Control Leyline of Singularity / Karakas / Foil / Island / Chancellor of the Forge Chancellor of the Forge is a good WC when there are a few of them, but a single 1/1 is kind of not that great on its own, unfortunately. I'm thinking you may as well just run Mishra's Factory here, and at least have a clock?
DragonDart :: I don't expect this to do very well, but I figure I may as well submit something. Mishra's Workshop / City of Traitors / Crumbling Sanctuary / Darksteel Reactor / Soldevi Digger I looked for a win condition somewhere in here, but I didn't catch it. Crumbling Sanctuary is a good card in some places, but the place where you try to rely on a 5 mana card that has to stay in play indefinitely in order to tie matches is not one of them. I hope you do find a place for it, though!

Congratulations to TANE for winning 5CB 3.31!
Next week will be Taste the Rainbow week.
- Along with each player's deck submission, players will submit a spell color.
- Spells, and activation costs of lands (other than mana source abilities), without a colored mana symbol in their costs cost an additional 1 to play.
- Spells, and activation costs of lands, with a colored mana symbol in their costs cost one less colored mana of the chosen color to play.
- Triggered abilities of lands, artifacts, and cards that are not in play, are countered unless a player pays 1. Any player may pay this additional cost.
Deck submissions are due December 14th, at 10pm EST.
Wit's End is the PERFECT answer to your opponent's Monomania however.
Just hold on to your Wit's End when they Monomania, so you can Wit's End them on your next turn!!!
I think this is fairly reminiscent of the "Jace Battles" we have seen in past standards.. My guess is we will soon witness the great Monomania-Wit's End battles.
I don't understand how I lose to Feyd_Ruin's deck. Don't I simply bounce his emrakul with karakas every turn and then win with my token?
Also, I lose to DragonDart's deck, I think. There's no way for me to deal with all of his permanents, so he just buys back whatever spell I counter, then locks me out while darksteel reactor wins the game for him.

knobbodi: good call. I was thinking it was Ulamog, but it isn't. I'll fix it.
