So, I ran a one-off 7CB last year, and it was reasonably successful, with 14 entrants. Why not try it again? It's always good fun.
Short rules - chances from last time are bolded:
- Start with all 7 cards in hand. Like 3CB and 5CB, that's it - you don't have any free lands.
- All cards must be from Scars of Mirrodin block or M12.
- Cards in your hand are public information.
- Randomness goes in your opponent's favor.
- Chancellor of the Annex, Chancellor of the Dross, and Chancellor of the Forge are banned.
- You don't lose for failing to draw a card.
- Scoring is 6-0 for win-win, 4-1 for win-draw, 2-2 for win-lose, and 2-2 for draw-draw.
Deadline: 24 hours after DailyMTG posts Friday updates. (11 PM CST on Friday)
What about restrictions on discard or winning on a certain turn?
If you can win turn 1, be my guest. I legitimately can't see a way.
I might consider banning the discard spells in future 7CBs, but not right now. 7 cards gives you plenty of redundancy, and all that can be discarded from you first-turn are creatures and planeswalkers.
I guess I wrote it in a fairly ambiguous manner. I meant, they're due 24 hours after the "Friday" articles go up on DailyMTG. But I can extend that if need be.

Anyway, I'm glad I came back in time to catch round 2!
