One Card Blind Backbuild (1CBB) is a Magic tournament, run entirely within this forum. To compete, players submit one-card decks which are played against each other by the moderator. Scoring assumes optimal play, without randomness or concealed information.
1. Game Rules
1.1. Except for the changes described in these rules, games follow the Magic: The Gathering Comprehensive Rules.
1.2. Players' decks contain exactly one card, which begin the game in hand. Players do not mulligan or sideboard.
1.3. Players' libraries begin the game empty. A player does not lose the game as a result of being unable to draw a card.
1.4. A random effect produces the result that least benefits the owner of the source of the effect.
1.5 Whenever a player could play a Land card, that player may put a Basic Land card from outside the game onto the battlefield. (Basic Snow Lands are Basic.)
2. Tournament Rules
2.1. Players submit their decks to the 1CB moderator (error1).
2.1a. The moderator informs players of mistakes in a timely manner.
2.1b. A player may submit multiple decks, but only the most recent as of the deadline is counted.
2.1c. If a player's final deck is illegal, their most recent legal deck is used. If no legal deck has been submitted, they do not participate.
2.1d. All legal decks must win 6-0 versus the test deck.
2.2. For each match players exchange decks.
2.3. A deck may include any number of any card legal in Vintage (Type 1).
2.4. Each player plays one match, consisting of two games, against each other player. Each player is the starting player once per match. Results assume optimal play and perfect information.
2.4a. If no player can win, the game is a draw.
2.4b. A player that can't win or draw plays to extend the game.
2.5. Points determine tournament standings. Players are ranked, first to last, in order of decreasing number of points.
2.5a. For each match, a player earns 3 points per game win and 1 point per drawn game. Matches in which each player wins one game and loses one game are worth only 2 points per player, rather than 3.
2.5b. A table of match results is posted each round. Its rows represent players and its columns represent opponents. Match results reflect the combined result of both games played in a match. A player's total points are listed at the end of his or her row.
Here's the salted md5 checksum for my next deck: a484cbab86c6a380ed1cc33f5f613e1c

Roiling Horror is really interesting, it seems like there is one ideal card vs it that is imposable to beat, I guess I'll give it a try and see if anyone surprises me

Both of these cases make me think you should consider single-round card bans where you think it would make the round more interesting. As I'm sure you know, 5CB routinely does this and it's basically essential to the special rounds.

We've done some rounds against the smallest/weakest creatures, so I say we do one against the strongest: Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
I do agree with single round bans. I know you love Planeswalkers Fury, but it is sometimes format warping. I don't think we need any permabans though, 'cause sometimes it sneaks in there when no one expects it (Karona).
Darn, I was looking for a 2cc 1/1 flier that could survive combat with the Ranger. I was surprised that Wizards hasn't printed a 2cc 1/1 flying first striker, and I completely missed Bushido. Nice job guys.
Damage to creatures is always a little too strong, not enough toughness this week
The problem I had was that I couldn't think of any way for a 1-toughness creature to be played, because Ranger flashes in and trades. For example, both Skyshroud Archer and Jagged-Scar Archers are actually illegal decks because they don't beat the test deck (they draw).
Moths are clever, but I didn't find them.

whoops sorry Parsley, and Shogun17, I should have caught that but he's right. That also changes the winner to XScorpion.
Seriously tho we just had Boros Recruit win a round, I thought that was the obvious card, but no one played it
Next round is still backbuild right? Title says 1cb #24...

An ability exists on the stack independently of its source. Removal of the source after that time won't affect the ability. Some abilities cause a source to do something rather than the ability. Any activated or triggered ability that references information about the source checks that information when the ability is put onto the stack. Otherwise, it will check that information when it resolves. If the source is no longer in the zone it's expected to be in, its last known information is used.

Aye. He just forgot a B.
Although I suspect its going to be a 1 card tie-a-lot this time around.
It made me a little said inside when I realized most 1/1s can beat the horror. Maybe I can find that one card that says "You win, but only if your opponent is playing Roilling Horror."
(BTW. I hereby dub such a card that we're always looking for "The Golden Snitch")
Congratulations to XScorpion, great meta game

I thought I'd take the opportunity to come up with a few test decks that might be interesting:
living hive has the problem of Treacherous Urge and Planeswalker's Fury that alone doesn't condemn it, but makes me think twice about it
Both of these cases make me think you should consider single-round card bans where you think it would make the round more interesting. As I'm sure you know, 5CB routinely does this and it's basically essential to the special rounds.
