extremely low turnout this time, which disappoints me. however, it was easy to finish calculations. stay tuned for info from Fayul about next week; it should be the same format, but Fay's pretty crafty.
anyway, to the decks!
1| feuerdrache - Black Lotus, Lavaborn Muse, Sheltered Valley
Witness Protection Agency i do well again! yay! eh, i was just going for the Muse's power. Sheltered Valley was savage against a few other win conditions.
2| Unstable - Mishra's Workshop, Ensnaring Bridge, Spectral Searchlight
back to basick wow. the metagame got a slap in the face from this one. well done.
3| Bluemage76 - Chalice of the Void, Ferropede, Mishra's Workshop
Brown Squad Ferropede was nice against storage lands, but it could only hit one of them in the tournament. nice deck, just a bad meta.
4| r_x_ - Black Lotus, Horobi, Death's Wail, Urborg
Never tried this deck, so it must suck.. i assume the title was sarcastic, but you never know. well, if this was a test, hope you like your results.
5| Trojan - Rushwood Grove, Squirrel Nest, Thallid
Little Green Men quite easily the most amusing deck to play in the tournament. i laughed when it beat the Wurms.
6| dasheiff - Blazing Specter, Urborg, Black Lotus
NT.dec very similar to mine. the only difference is that yours sacrifices the long game for the early discard. that helped in some situations, but the extra burn of Muse proved more useful this week. sweet deck.
7| wonkey_donkey - Mishra's Workshop, Chimeric Idol, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale blah... so many Workshop decks this round! this one definitely had an advantage in the mirror though, so good call.
8| Chimpanzee - Maze of Ith, Hollow Trees, Crush of Wurms
A-maze-ing Wurms you always wreak havoc. in this case, your games were damn fun to calculate.
9| serge - Foil, Island, Nether Spirit
I usually prefer to play second the flaw with this kind of build is that you can't play the Spirit pre-emptively, which led to no victories and a lot of ties. still, welcome to 3CB.
10| Shadowlord - Black Lotus, Pox, Nether Spirit
sic.dec Pox rox. however, some decks could afford to lose the card and some could play around it. great deck. bad day. =/
11| monkeyballz - High Market, Myr Servitor, Myr Servitor
Generic Entry i kinda had a bad feeling about this one when you submitted it. the deck lacks a decent threat, so it gets outmuscled by aggro and halted by control.
12| S_K171 - Chalice of the Void, Steel Golem, Mishra's Workshop
Donuts the Golem is something i haven't seen in a while. definitely a good choice this week, as you faced Nether Spirits, Ferropedes and mini-hordes of Saprolings.
1. Chimpanzee - "A-maze-ing Wurms" (53 pts)
2. Unstable - "back to basick" (50 pts)
3. feuerdrache - "Witness Protection Agency" (41 pts)
4. r_x_ - "Never tried this deck, so it must suck.." (35 pts)
5. wonkey_donkey - (34 pts)
6. S_K171 - "Donuts" (32 pts)
7. Shadowlord - "sic.dec" (31 pts)
8. Trojan - "Little Green Men" (29 pts)
9. Bluemage76 - "Brown Squad" (26 pts)
10. dashieff - "NT.dec" (21 pts)
11. serge - "I usually prefer to go second" (18 pts)
12. monkeyballz - "Generic Entry" (5 pts)
Congratulations to Chimpanzee for winning 3CB #109!

at this point, i'm unsure if PotM is in place for 3CB, and if it is, whether or not a third party is calculating it.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, the wisdom to know the difference, and a ****ing chainsaw.
Me- Deck 8- Maze of Ith, Hollow Trees, Crush of Wurms
vs.
r_x_-Deck 4- Black Lotus, Urborg, Horobi, Death's Wail
listed as 2-2
should be 6-0
He can't attack with Horobi without being gauranteed to lose, so I just build up counters until I can play Crush and flash it back in one turn. Then I'll have 6 wurms, he'll kill one on that turn, another after he untaps, and then I attack with 4 and he has to block to live, leaving him defenseless for my next attack.
vs.
dasheiff- Deck 6- Lotus, Urborg, Blazing Specter
listed as 0-6
should be 6-0
When he attacks turn 1 I discard Crush. From there I can Maze his specter until I have enough to flashback Crush and win.
Specialty format: The first card listed in every deck in 3CB 109 is banned. If, going through the list, that card is alreayd banned, I hit the second card.
Therefore, the banned list for 3CB 110 is as follows:
