The closeness near the top was rather good. I was really rooting for scavenger not to win (sorry whamm) since it seemed so...passe...but, eventually, Wham triumphed. Damn good show.
I’ve implemented a slight rule change in scoring: Ties between 2 decks will be broken by finding the winner of their matchup. If tied, by Number of 6-0’s. If tied, by number of 4-1’s. And so on.
Ties between more than one deck simply skip the head-to-head tiebreaker.
Please forgive the various mistakes: I can’t really figure out how the hell to work the 3CB program, so these are done by hand. Sad Pandas.
1 - Fayul
Bayou, Troll Ascetic, Ostracize
This is not the greatest song in the world… For those who don’t get it, Goblinboy won a 3CB with this deck, in the last 3CB played in this format.
2 - Lonewarrior
Tropical Island, Daze, Pygmy Hippo
I heart Goblinboy's.... moderation!.dec Pygmy Hippo is pretty awesome. Daze? Less so.
3 - Xyre
Crystal Quarry, Door to Nothingness, Mishra's Factory
You Expected Something Practical? Shame... The threat of Factory blocks make this deck overachieve grossly, since you can hold 2/2’s at bay all day and tie with some 3/3's.
4 - WhammWhamme
Anurid Scavenger, Black Lotus, Vindicate
This time, the Rage is on the money. A winnar is you. Rage was definitely the correct call, even if it’s slower by a turn it still owns face.
5- Chimpanzee
Mishra’s Factory, Scrubland, Vindicate
Vindictive Scrub A solid call. There’s not much I can say about this deck: It’s kinda bland, but it gets the job done.
6- betrand
Black Lotus, Thought Nibbler, Mana Drain
DrainDoesntBurnMe.decque Nice. I was planning on giving you the deck award until the final submissions came in. Sweet deck.
7- Hivemaster
Pox, Black Lotus, Nether Spirit
Quick and Dirty Creativity? What’s that? The old standby puts up a quality performance.
8- r_x
Undiscovered Paradise, Balancing Act, Flaming Gambit
The world goes BOOM! Cute. A little too cute. But it can get the job done against the slower Thallid and similar decks.
9- Ajfirst
Smokestack, Mishra's Factory, City of Traitors
Smoking Factory of Traitors STAX~. I’m really disappointed, since this seemed like the one deck that could eke out a win instead of the ubiquitous Scavenger.
10- Kenji
Mox Sapphire, Mana Drain, Morphling
Cards I could never own.dec Of course, when I pick the winning deck, I fail, and when Kenji picks the losing one, he does decently. Grumble.
11-bateluer
Black Lotus, Anurid Scavenger, Recoil
"Simulated Rage" Was the absence of Vindicate intentional or not? Either way, this almost racked up the same points.
12- Tahn
Black Lotus, Anurid Scavenger, Mana Short
Thou shalt use Upwelling Mana Short was kind of cute as the third card, but sometimes, you don’t want to be cute.
13- Bluemage76
City of Traitors, Crystal Quarry, Door to Nothingness
Door number 3
I’m surprised that this went as fast as it did. Which is still -horribly- too slow.
14- Shadowlord
Tropical Island, Thallid, Mana Short
Just For Fun...dec Ehhh. Mana short that’s not off a lotus is obscenely slow. Sorry.
15 -dashieff
Blazing Specter, Urborg, Black Lotus
BUB to the face.dec A totally sweet deck. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see this showing up in regular 3CB.
16 - feuerdrache
Mishra’s Workshop, Triskelion, Duplicant
O RLY? I think that this may be the highest total converted mana cost for a 3CB deck ever. Just sayin’. Oh yeah, and 6-0 against some forms of scavenger helps a wee bit.
17 - halinn
Tropical Island, Thallid, Daze
(nameless) Ehhhhh. Not a terrible deck, I guess.
18 - Disrupt_Your_Hymn
Undiscovered Paradise, Vindicate, Nether Spirit
Slow.dec Thank you for providing the commentary for me. Still, Vindicate simply wins sometimes.
19 - Trojan
Anurid Scavenger, Black Lotus, Power Sink
Naturalize your Upwelling... Scavenger Deck Wins. Power Sink looks bad at first, but the fact that it can be cast turn 2 instead of Vindicate’s turn 3 makes some difference.
20- monkeyballz
Mossfire Valley, City of Traitors, Beacon of Destruction
(no title) Deceptively decent. I expected this to be absolute jank when I opened the file, but the fact that you can off a bunch of creatures wins some games.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, the wisdom to know the difference, and a ****ing chainsaw.
Yep, Vindicate would've been the better choice. I was worrying too much about regenerators and the like... somehow "destroy" never seems sufficient !
Appropriately enough, it was the new mod wielding the old mod's deck who knocked me down to 2nd for my error of judgement !

I'm proud. UpwellingSTAX was an interesting choice on my part, as my first thought was abusing Mishra's Workshop, but I figured it was alright. Also, Vindicate was interesting.
Is the announcement for next 3CB's host coming soon?
yeah. i'm swamped with responsibility atm, but anyone can PM me their deck for next week right now. it's a normal week; any week i mod will be as such.
you hear that? PM me your decks for next week, a NORMAL tourney!

It seems sort of silly to ridicule a company for marketing efforts. Of course they are going to hype upcoming products, every company on the face of the planet does it, and it works, thats why they do it. There isn't really any sense complaining about it. If you don't like the marketing, ignore it.
